“Would you mind if I feel it?” You rest your cheek against your knuckles. “Your face, I mean.”

His gaze shifts from the documents in his hands to you, sitting on the plush armchair in his office. Your head is turned to him, yet you can’t see him. You’ve never been able to, but that’s done nothing to hinder the growth and blossoming of your relationship.

You hear a soft hum from him, followed by the rustle of paper and clothes as he stands. He approaches you quietly and carefully before kneeling in front of you, taking your hand in his and gently guiding it to his face.

“Thank you, dear,” you murmur and cup his cheeks with your hands. Your thumbs glide over the pale skin beneath his eyes and down the curved bridge of his nose. You’ve always loved touching and feeling the sharp features of his face, and he’s always allowed it, much to the surprise of his comrades and familiars. He doesn’t hesitate to kneel for you — whether it’s to help slip your heel onto your foot or to simply let you feel his face — whenever and wherever. He may occasionally receive stares and glances, but he simply can’t care less. He doesn’t believe his dignity or honor is being wounded in doing so, but rather only elevated.

But, right now, you’re in the privacy of his office, so you may do as you please for the time being. You continue to feel along his face, running your thumb along his eyelid and dark lashes. He gazes at you fondly as you do so. He knows you can’t see him, and he almost thanks the Lord for that — he wouldn’t be able to admire you in such a way otherwise.

“You’re very handsome,” you speak up all of a sudden, your tone of voice soft.

He quirks an eyebrow at your words. “How would you know?”

“I can tell.” You squish his cheeks gently. “I can tell a lot of things, dear.”

He hums as your hands move to his hair, stroking and ruffling it. He glances at the clock above the door, before gently grasping your wrist. “Alright, that’s enough for now. I have to get these forms filled out by late evening.”

“Oh, so soon?” You murmur, withdrawing your hands with reluctance. He stands straight, but leans down to take your hand and plant a chaste kiss on the back of it.

“Yes, my dear,” he responds. The petname slips out before he can stop it. “So soon.”

He has 4 followers: you, Erwin, Hange and because he liked the kid, Armin. (Eren has been pestering Armin wondering why Levi lets Armin follow him and not himself.)

He has no profile picture, no bio, but because insta keeps telling him to make his 1st post he does it to stop getting the notifications.

All he does is post a screenshot of one of your pics from your insta. Its poorly cropped so anyone who could look at it can tell he just screenshotted one of your insta pics. There’s no caption.

He follows less than 15 accounts including you, Erwin, Hange and Armin. Some are cleaning ASMR accounts or organization ASMR and maybe a cat account.

He doesn’t like or comment on any posts.

One day Hange posts and Levi is barely in one of the slides, but he’s still tagged.

His notifications get blown up with over 20 follow requests.

Eventually he goes through them. He lets Sasha follow him only because she’s your best friend. He hesitates to follow her back, he does only because of you.

Sasha brags about it to Jean, Eren and Connie

Moblit is the only person Levi reached out to first. He follows him and later Moblit requests.

As time goes Levi’s insta is just photos of you, he’s not even in it.

Just saw the Attack on Titan: The Musical today in NYC - it was all I could of hoped for and more. I would love to do a more detailed post about virtually all aspects of it later if anyone was curious!

They let us record the final song (indicating that to us via the subtitle screens), and I'd like to share Levi's little dance during that bit:

jean is to levi what armin is to erwin

everyone obviously sees how armin became "the new erwin" and took up his mantle after his death. hange stepped in as commander while armin was still growing up and getting used to his new abilities, but it would always be him as commander one day; whether hange died or they chose to step down. this doesn't really need saying if you paid any attention at all while watching the show.

what i want to focus on is how jean was next in line to "replace" levi if that ever became necessary. where erwin and armin were incredible strategists, levi and jean were incredible captains. they follow their commander as men of action and know how to read the situation and adapt to unforseen circumstances.

not only do jean and armin individually mirror levi and erwin, but both pairs of commander and captain work incredibly well together. we sadly don't get to see many instances of jean and armin working together in this way, but season 3 part 2 makes it so clear i'm surprised not more people talk about it.

erwin is MIA and armin is left in charge of his peers. the pressure gets too much and he can't plan a way out of it in the middle of the chaos, so he turns to none other than jean, jean who immediately get a grasp of the situation and starts giving out commands. you'd think they did this for a living how naturally it came to them !

He huffs as you continue to babble about every terrible scenario that could possibly happen. He grumbles, “I’ve checked the forecast. There won’t be any rain. And even then, we could have an indoor wedding if you’re so worried.”

“Still!” You turn to look at him, your expression one of trepidation. “Anything could happen!”

“You’re fussing over nothing,” he responds, watching you pace around the room from his spot on the armchair. His gaze flickers to the ring on your finger with a touch of pride as it catches light and twinkles. His slender finger taps the porcelain of his teacup musingly.

“I am not!” Your fingers card through the locks of your hair. He stares at you for a moment, before he sets his cup down on the coffee table with a weary sigh. He gestures for you to come closer, and when you do, his hand gently wraps around your wrist to tug you onto his lap.

He lets you shift into a more comfortable position on top of him, before brushing a stray wisp out of your face. “You are. Everything’s going to be perfectly fine, don’t overthink it so much.”

You exhale softly and rest your head on his shoulder. “Will it really, Levi?”

“Yes, my dear. I promise you, it will.”

Despite his firm tone, there’s a hint of affection in his eyes—one that’s enough to make you believe him, if only for a little while. It’s only a matter of time before the anxiety comes back to clutch and claw at your heart; but, until then, maybe you can forget the disquiet that comes with planning a wedding. You’re marrying the man of your dreams, after all, and he will surely support you through anything and everything you may encounter.
