Book(s) that you wish were more popular: Blackwood University Series by Sybil Reese (it's a Dark Romance and Reverse Harem so yeah😞), I wanna gush over Creed with somebody. He should be sole lead, then maybe book had more readers. It's weird when you have character who is cuddlier version of Zade Meadows and you try shoe horn him into harem when he is obvious choice. Technically he is her main hubby and others are more like sidepieces, hopefully it stays this way. And 2nd book is way better.

Unpopular opinion: I think Chaol is the most rational and relatable character from TOG and I side eye his haters. I have so many unpopular opinions about TOG that I sometimes wish that I have never started reading it.

a few nutcracker headcanons. because im really normal about them

they are Weird. Who let the mechanical things have flesh.

the flesh part of a nutcracker does extend throughout its entire body for control

it has starfish-like properties in that it can regrow pieces of itself if needed, given some time

it will, however, only be able to do this a finite amount of times before running itself too thin- the flesh used is stored in reserve in its torso, and can run out, though it would take a long time

they do not eat, so have no way of growing more

they do have a power source, though, somewhat like a battery, that they must charge occasionally (likely drawing from apparatus power in facilities, and whatever power source a mansion has)

similarly, the supply of ammo on their person can run out

i like to think that somewhere in each building is a designated room that all the nutcrackers there use as a "hangout" spot; repairs, recharges, and ammo refills mostly happen here

the shell of a nutcracker is, obviously, very, very hard to break. besides attacking the eye, the most damage that can reasonably be achieved is detaching limbs/parts at the joints, the weakest points

which is where the regrowth comes in; once it can recover the limb, it will need that new segment of flesh for it to be fully useful again

sometimes they will need a new pin or bearing for a joint, either from injury or plain age. they keep a supply of spares in a drawer-like compartment in their hats, which is popped open with an inset button on the side

rarely, a nutcracker will keep another small item or trinket in that compartment as well- a badge, a key, a ring, etc. these may either be some kind of keepsake from their existence before the houses were abandoned, or a result of their own random fancy

their "heart" is a very odd thing. a clockwork engine that also has meat in it is the best way i can put it. it makes noises if you're close enough to hear

their music boxes are attached close to the heart, somewhere beneath the eye. they did not always sound so distorted

they can sleep in some form, though they can also go without. most often sleeping just means them being motionless and unresponsive, still standing up

Donald Trump is falsely claiming that President Biden was prepared to kill him during the FBI’s search for classified documents at Mar-a-Lago—a nefarious lie given that Trump wasn’t even at the residence on the day of the search.

In a Truth Social post on Tuesday evening, the former president said that after his hush-money trial adjourned for the day, he learned that “Crooked Joe Biden’s DOJ, in their Illegal and UnConstitutional Raid of Mar-a-Lago, AUTHORIZED THE FBI TO USE DEADLY (LETHAL) FORCE.”

A former president claiming their successor tried to kill them is unprecedented, according to The Washington Post. It’s no secret that law enforcement will come armed when enforcing a search warrant. But the FBI has already testified that it chose to search Mar-a-Lago on a day that Trump would not be there in order to prevent any conflict.

So why make such a post? The former president is probably trying to distract from the news Tuesday from an unsealed legal opinion that classified documents were found in his bedroom at Mar-a-Lago four months after the FBI’s initial search.

Trump faces 42 felony charges in his classified documents case related to willful retention of national security information, corruptly concealing documents, and conspiracy to obstruct justice. But the judge in the case, Trump appointee Aileen Cannon, seems to be stalling the trial on purpose. Earlier this month, she ordered a stay on Trump’s legal requirement to give the government advance notice of which classified materials will be discussed—but offered no expiration date for the reprieve.

Cannon faces a growing backlash due to her handling of the case, with online petitions calling for her removal or recusal from the case. Even some of her clerks have quit because of her conduct, as well as for creating a hostile work environment. At least one potential witness, former Mar-a-Lago worker Brian Butler, has publicly come forward and criticized Cannon’s handling of the case.

Trump’s federal cases have already been delayed thanks to the Supreme Court, which is currently deciding whether Trump, as a former president, enjoys legal immunity. Some believe that state-level charges against the Republican presidential nominee, whether in New York or Georgia, are the only prospects for him facing real justice.

There is Halt, the battle master who found a defective yield sign and turned it into her personal weapon of choice, and who for some reason has an almost natural reflex to know when there are masked nearby. Watcher, the misfit's ship master and eye in the sky, who stands at 6 feet tall and is offend called a string bean and has the upper body strength of a teenager who always skips gym class. Lucky, who as his nickname suggests, isn't particularly good at anything, nor is he bad, he is just very Lucky. This luck of his has saved his ass more times than his team can count on a single whiteboard. And finally, Newbie, a former member of the highly profitable crew 30456 "Gold trackers", but well.....after a nasty encounter with a jester, that crew was....no longer plausible and as such he got sent to the team that needed another member. What silly wacky adventures will this group of misfits go on I wonder? Let's find out :D

saw a tweet literally two weeks ago about how dinahbabs isn’t real bc it’s “all based on one panel taken out of context” and “dinah married Ollie like seven times” and i legitimately honestly haven’t stopped thinking about it since. girl I don’t know how to tell you this but that one panel can easily be read as a culmination of many years of subtext, and Ollie was literally dead at the time. also dinah can literally do what she wants. hope this helps!

Been thinking about what entities I would assign to my OCs. I think initially Amaldyne was Hunt aligned (endlessly hungry, chasing down the gods) but relistening to Prentiss’ statement makes me think she’s be a shoe-in for being Corruption aligned. She’s toxic. She’s obsessive. She has a deeply codependent relationship with an insect. She ruins every other relationship she touches.
