This man. Physically he’s just so damn pretty when he has no right to be. And then there’s the guilt. My god does he play it so beautifully! You ache for the young man in his story. You ache for him as he battles his conscience. For what is the worse crime? To betray the law, the king’s will who you serve? Or to betray your own heart? His begging for forgiveness and allowing the love of his life to end her story on her terms as she’s lived her life? Unparalleled.

Literally exactly how I've always pictured Athos (yes I KNOW he's technically like 30 but let's be real he has always had old man energy), and just perfect Athos energy. Wise and fatherly towards d'Artagnan, but he still has that musketeer spark (god that FIGHT against the Cardinal's guards, that man can MOVE!!). I could picture him locking himself in the wine cellar of an inn and drinking his way through 150 bottles of wine, which is the real measure of a good Athos.

I'm pretty so-so on Kiefer Sutherland in general, but I am here for whatever he had going on in his movie. Which I think was an entirely DIFFERENT movie from the one everyone else was in. But either way, he's excellent. Just moody enough but not too moody, y'know -- and amazing chemistry with Rebecca de Mornay

I love everything about this Version! His long hair (but also the shorter hair) the blue eyes 😍 i also love that he is a bit older than the other versions. He gives me the vibes of a majestic Wolf 🐺 and the scene in the Forest with Milady .. you could see his other side full of sorrow and regret 😭 i Just wanted to give him a big tight hug 😭💕

First of all the historical accuracy of these films in general cannot be overstated, but it's so nice to see a Milady who's allowed to both sit in the general aesthetic of the period AND be a bombshell. Secondly she has a vicious nature that does not in any way detract from the fact that I do see her as a victim of the Musketeers in the last part of the story, which to me is a hard line to walk. She has a chip on her shoulder but she's also a woman in France and her power is limited to 1) the person she's married to and 2) subterfuge. And her first? second? husband murdered her so she's allowed to be pissed. Also Kitty is permitted to exist! The only point against her is her romance with Rochefort but that's such a given now that I guess we must live with it.

LOOOOOVED Eva Green as Milady!!! She was SO badass it was exactly as she deserved. She got to go full master of disguise mode and it was so delightful to watch. Added so much depth and intrigue to the character and was also so gorgeous and got styled in such beautiful costumes augh she's perfect
