He's just a sweetie who loves his wife, and is socially awkward. The friendship between him and d'Artagnan was unexpected but leant into the universality of being a young man, slightly out of your depths. Plus he's very pretty, wears lacy tights the whole time and the most wonderfully over the top period ensembles.

I really appreciated that this was a King Louis who clearly had political acumen and was very aware of the tangled political web that he was trapped in!! Even if he was still pulled along with the whole diamond necklace scheme and eventually declaring war on the Protestants, he KNEW he was being played and he was frustrated by it!! This man is a king who does NOT walk backwards and he WILL make sure you know it!! Also love that the actor's name is also Louis I think that's fun

Literally exactly how I've always pictured Athos (yes I KNOW he's technically like 30 but let's be real he has always had old man energy), and just perfect Athos energy. Wise and fatherly towards d'Artagnan, but he still has that musketeer spark (god that FIGHT against the Cardinal's guards, that man can MOVE!!). I could picture him locking himself in the wine cellar of an inn and drinking his way through 150 bottles of wine, which is the real measure of a good Athos.

I love everything about this Version! His long hair (but also the shorter hair) the blue eyes 😍 i also love that he is a bit older than the other versions.
