Oh well! I was planning on making a full blown movie of this as well, of course, not perfect. But decent enough! I have to do it in separate scenes instead of doing it all in chronological order. For now, though. I'll give my buddy @artisticalmaniac a break from voicing these two! He puts a lot of energy into it, he deserves a break! So, another issue I have with the two Of Mice and Men movies we have is that neither of them have the full “Lennie, stay with me” scene and the “No Lennie, I ain’t mad” scene. Neither of the movies do the scene right, which sucks because those were my favorite parts. I more mad that they didn’t do the “I ain’t mad”, because when I first read the book, that line brought the most tears out of me. It was the saddest line, for many reasons. For starters, it’s like that thing that parents say to their kids, “I’m not mad, I’m disappointed.” Which is probably the truth, George probably wasn’t mad at Lennie, he was mad at the problems Lennie unintentionally caused, but he knew that Lennie couldn’t help it. And since George is about to kill Lennie, he wants Lennie to know that he understands. And also, he has to say a bunch of nice things to Lennie to make sure he dies happy. I mean, maybe it’s for the better that the movies didn’t include those scenes actually, because I probably would have been crying for a lot longer.
