...right. Riiiight. I genuinely wanted to meditate, but I forgot about the My Stomach Is Stupid disease.
I tried to eat lightly and ate as soon as I could so I would hopefully have time before bed, but it still took me resting until 9pm to feel alright enough to trust my stomach with diaphragmatic breathing and sitting upright. But I had to attend to bodily needs and take my meds and drink my gut health thing and take care of the chinchillas and now it's 10:12pm and I'm about to crash.
(I got hit with Multiple Episodes of vasovagal near-syncope this weekend because I was in 105F weather. I wasn't even OUTSIDE THAT MUCH. But. Guh. I almost passed out three times in a row on the airplane home. So that was fun. {lP It always messes with my stomach the worst...)
Anyways. Tl;dr I'm exhausted and not in good health right now and my headache will accept Coasting but not Directed Thinking. My back will accept Slumping or Laying but not sitting up straight. My tiredness is more powerful than my discipline right now.
I know I could meditate lying down, but I guarantee I'm going to conk out when I try that. I barely have the energy to stay conscious; I can barely dredge up enough astral energy to shape it into My Being and not just like. stagnant pools. Definitely don't have the strength that I could project anything without hurting myself...
I can meditate for centering tonight before bed but I certainly won't be traveling and communing, let alone channeling anything for a shield. I did that once when I was well-rested and emotionally charged, and it exhausted me for three days.
So uhh. Definitely not tonight.
And probably not Wednesday or Thursday night, either, because I'm sure it'll be more of the same.
This weekend, then. When I can eat dinner, and then have 6+ hours before I need to sleep, and also have time to write whatever happens down afterwards. And make some tea. I feel like tea would be really nice.
I did spend awhile sitting at the library feeding the pigeons today (something I do every day after work). And I was wondering, "What's the point of Her involvement with my personal endeavors?" And kinda Intentionally Sent That Question Out.
Luckily I was calm enough to be receptive, because I had a vision of me (as I am in this life, which is a VAST departure from how I usually see my astral form), taking in golden light and then radiating it out to the dark space. Reaching my arm out, and the energy flowed with it and beyond it. It didn't last long, mostly that one quick image.
I got Feelings of that gold being not just peace (a given), but hope, renewal. A sort of... not quite legacy, but still an impact?
I don't know that She'll ever tell me exactly why she cares enough to let me direct this thing with a purpose for her. But whatever. If not for her, I'm doing it for other people who need the hope I desperately needed.

While strawberries certainly are a reddish-pink color and are roundish in shape, the origin of the name “Strawberry Moon” has nothing to do with the Moon’s hue or appearance.
• June's full Moon is typically the last full moon of spring or the first of summer. The June Full Moon will be extraordinary. For the first time since 1985, Full Moon happens precisely on the summer solstice, when the Sun is highest up. Because the Full Moon is always opposite the Sun, this year, you will see that the Moon is 10 widths lower on the horizon than the Sun ever is.
This “Strawberry Moon” name has been used by Native American Algonquian tribes that live in the northeastern United States as well as the Ojibwe, Dakota, and Lakota peoples to mark the ripening of “June-bearing” strawberries that are ready to be gathered. The Haida term Berries Ripen Moon reflects this as well. As flowers bloom and early fruit ripens, June is a time of great abundance for many.

The history of Litha reveals its deep connections to ancient agricultural societies & their reliance on the sun's power. Celebrated as part of the Wheel of the Year, Litha symbolizes the balance between light & darkness. Throughout history  customs such as bonfires, herb gathering & the construction of sunwheels have marked this festival. Today, Litha continues to be celebrated by various communities, with gatherings at sacred sites & private rituals in natural settings. It serves as a reminder of our connection with nature and the cycles of life.
• The traditions of Litha appear to be borrowed from many cultures. Most ancient cultures celebrated the summer solstice in some way such as the Celts celebrated Litha with hilltop bonfires & dancing. Many people attempted to jump over or through the bonfires for good luck. Other European traditions included setting large wheels on fire & rolling them down a hill into a body of water.
Litha is often associated with Midsummer, a celebration that extends beyond the pagan and Wiccan traditions. Midsummer festivities are observed in many cultures around the world, including Scandinavian countries where it holds a prominent place in their cultural heritage. Midsummer dances, bonfires, & feasts are integral parts of these celebrations, often accompanied by folklore and traditional rituals that honor the sun's energy and the abundance of nature during this time.
The summer solstice is the longest day of the year & in some traditions, Litha is when The Sun(The God) is symbolically at it's peak time of power & the World will soon be ripe to harvest. It is also when The Goddess is pregnant with The God who is to be reborn at Yule.
• In the Northern Hemisphere the Summer Solstice occurs when the Sun reaches its highest and northernmost points in the sky. It marks the start of summer in the northern half of the globe. (In contrast, the June solstice in the Southern Hemisphere is when the Sun is at its lowest point in the sky, marking the start of winter.)
Some also believe the history & spirit of Litha revolve around two deities, The Oak King & The Holly King. In Wiccan and Neo-Pagan traditions, each King rules the Earth for half of the year. From Yule to Litha, the Oak King rules. On Litha, the two battled for the crown and it is then that the Holly King triumphs. The Holly King will rule through fall until Yule, and the cycle will begin again.
Related festivals:
• Vestalia- June 7th -15th
Was a Roman religious festival in honor of Vesta, the goddess of the hearth & the burning continuation of the sacred fire of Rome. It was held from 7–15 June & was reserved as a women's-only event. Domestic & family life in general were represented by the festival of the goddess of the house & of the spirits of the storechamber — Vesta & the Penates .
On the first day of festivities the penus Vestae (sanctum sanctorum of the temple of Vesta which was usually curtained off) was opened for the only time during the year, at which women offered sacrifices. As long as the curtain remained open, mothers could come, barefoot and disheveled, to leave offerings to the goddess in exchange for a blessing to them and their family.
For the last day, the penus Vestae was solemnly closed, the Flaminica Dialis observed mourning & the temple was subjected to a purification called stercoratio: the filth was swept from the temple and carried next by the route called clivus Capitolinusand then into the Tiber.

Cottagecore life with Sukuna, who’s already packing his bags out the suburbs as you paint a picture of blue-green countryside idyll amid the mountain grass carpet, warm hearthstone, and sweetfish fresh from the stream.
“Pick your favourite.” He scoffs at your delighted face. He won’t show you how much time he spent planning the whole thing: a surprise trip to a sheep ranch. Your laugh warms a blush all through his tan skin. “We’ll take it with us.”
A quick peck of gratitude later, you spend your time examining through the bleating herd. Cloud-balls brush past your knees. You decide on a youngling: fat little candyfloss on stubbly legs, a few weeks old at best. You’re already planning on the barn you’ll make for him– watch him grow up into a spoilt old ram.
Sukuna, hanging back against the fence, rustles your hair as you return with your baby in your arms.“Good choice, looks soft too.”
“He is!” You pet his little head as he nuzzles into your neck, already taking to you. “His name’s Yuuji, I’ve decided, it’s perfect for him!”
“I’m not gonna call the pest that.”
You two walk back to your car, strapping your new pet into the backseat the best you can. The journey back to your homestead is pretty short anyway. “You’ll start loving him in no time, I tell you. C’mon, just call him by his name once!”
………..
“You don’t like it, brat?” Sukuna is confused seeing the tears in your eyes. Is it the smoke from the sizzling dish? Or were you not feeling meat-ish today? The lamb has been roasted to perfection, he made sure of that, topped it with your favourite lemon-cilantro too! “I’m even calling it ‘Yuuji asado’ instead of ‘cordero asado’.”
“My baby…” You reach out to touch his now-crispy skin.
Sukuna’s a bit hurt– you didn’t even try it once before reacting like that. Sukuna might not be a very experienced cook, but he actually followed the recipe to a T, putting his heart and soul into the dish to make you happy. On top of that, you did pick the lamb out yourself, so there’s no reason for you to be so ungrateful.
Still, he carves out a leg, pouring extra garlic oil onto your plate, and forks off a bit for you to taste. You don’t want to hurt his feelings. You take the bite he’s offering.
Yuuji. You’re sobbing now. You’re heartbreakingly delicious.
“Do you … like it?” His first culinary attempt: He just wants you to appreciate his efforts.
“It’s the best lamb ever, baby.”  It’s true. Well-marinated meat, so tender you could tear it with your lips. Juicy on the inside, the flavours seeping through and through. You can’t even pretend that you don’t want another bite. “Tears of happiness, don’t worry about it.”
“Damn right.” His smile is back to cocky again, having conquered the art of the kitchen. “Play nice and I’ll make it again for you next week.”
