What does cunty mean? I thought the one on the post was the correct term??
I mean you could define it that way but the way i understand it and see it used the most, i can’t really explain it.. it has a lot more to do with femininity but almost like, a practiced, controlled femininity, like a runway model almost. Doing something amazing effortlessly and beautifully. Speaking a bit out of my ass here maybe but i feel like it came from ballroom particularly in the context of voguing femme (i think that’s the right verbiage for that) where the style of dance maintains the precision and symmetry of oldway voguing with the dignified yet sensual femininity of the trans women who were part of ballroom. Like go watch a video of crystal lebeija or leiomy amazon or dominique jackson.. THATS cunty to me. I guess you could say it’s about “putting your whole pussy into it” but i feel like that includes more things like. You cant just call anything someone did really well cunty. The people who originated it in this context were Black and latina btw .

Hi, I was hoping you could help me find a replacement for a Michelle Rodriguez FC. Same butt-kicking vibe she has going , can handle her own type vibe. I must have lived under a rock because I recently learned about things she's said and done and I can't with that.
It happens anon! I've done that in the past, especially when the information is posted on Twitter because I don't use Twitter so I always encourage people to message me! HERE's a bigger masterlist of alts for her but here are my favourites matching her vibe:
Lisa Marie Varon (1971) Puerto Rican / Turkish.
Andrea Navedo (1977) Puerto Rican - Leverage.

Dominique Jackson (1975) Afro-Tobagonian - is trans.
Danai Gurira (1978) Shona Zimbabwean - The Walking Dead, Black Panther.
Veronica Ngo (1979) Vietnamese - Furies.
Doona Bae (1979) Korean.

The leiomy appropriation line is so fucking funny to me like dance styles organically spreading is a no go but it's fine when hbo surgically extracts the lifeblood of 90s queer nightlife to market their streaming service it's like fine

In Puerto Rico, the first gay club in the island opened in my moms hometown of San German in the 70s when she was a teen. She as a wild teen and was friends with the gay & lesbian kids would go with them and dance among all the gay boriquas who came from all over the island to be at the one open space just for them. My dad, a photography student in a neighboring city, used to go and take pics for folks at the club.
Puerto Rico was a center of gay life in the Caribbean during the 70s and into the 80s. The AIDS crisis changed that drastically.
The lgbt Puerto Rican diaspora in NYC has played major roles in American lgbt history, culture, and politics. From Sylvia Rivera to Holly Woodlawn. From ballroom legends like Leiomy Maldonado and Danni Xtravaganza to the many many Puerto Rican drag queens Puerto Ricans have shaped lgbt culture in the US and abroad.
hey for pride month lets talk about slavic queer cultures and latine/latino queer cultures and african queer cultures and asian queer cultures. something that’s not western centric.
anyway reblog with your country’s culture!
