soobin x reader! in which a single misunderstanding sparks years full of dislike on both ends—or so you assume. enemies to lovers but it’s mainly idiots to lovers really. soobin x reader. i am literally starting to run out of ideas and it’s now 7 am and i haven’t slept but we move — pls cut me some slack if this one is bad. i am in the trenches rn. it’s also really long, i got carried away … my bad

because how on earth could anyone have beef with choi soobin?

the 6ft tall human embodiment of the word cosy

well, the thing is, you don’t actually hate soobin

it’s okay to admit it if you do, it’s not like imma jump you or anything hehe 🔪😐

for legal reasons that was a joke

so now you’re probably all like ‘but soobin would never hate me! he’s too soobin to hate anyone’

and you’d be correct because he actually doesn’t hate you

id jump him too. let that lanky mf admit he hates you and watch how fast i gather the crew ( my crew is the ninja turtles )

somehow, the two of you started this whole fiasco of believing that you hated each other

this dated back to when the two of you were starting high school and ended up falling in with the same group of friends

everything was fine at first and there was no beef with you and soobin

until one fateful evening when the group decided to hang out at the park

squad goals if you ask me. friends that go down the slide together, stay together trust me 🤞

everything had been running smoothly

aside from the fact that beomgyu almost got stuck inside a swing

after his panic attack and yeonjun had stocked up his camera roll with videos of the incident, beomgyu managed to be freed

thank you to taehyun who managed to yank him out

lord and saviour taehyun. saving beomgyu’s since he was in nappies 💪

after the whole ordeal, you sat next to soobin to gossip about how idiotic your friends are

and neither of you had realized just how close you were sitting

until one of your friends so generously pointed it out

fucking little tell tale RAT

which of course sent the rest of the group into a spiral of hoots and hollers

that then lead to the shipping and ‘oh you guys would be so cute together!’ comments

and they wouldn’t be wrong because you and soobin were actually a lot alike

the two of you shared common interests and could talk for hours about nothing

he was easy to talk to and that’s one of the things you liked about him

so, perhaps you didn’t mind the comments

in contrast, soobin’s expression was far from pleased as his gaze flickered from the group to taehyun and then to you, who stood with your eyes focused on the ground sheepishly

“what? i don’t like them. like at all. we’d be hideous together.”

of course, he hadn’t meant for it to sound so harsh

and he felt exceptionally bad when he saw your face fall

making matters worse, your friends quickly fell into an uncomfortable silence, the tension in the air so thick you could practically feel it

oh well done! gone and made it all awkward now

from then on, you kept your distance from him

you were hurt by how disgusted he seemed at the idea of dating you

i would literally die for you. bruno mars would catch a grenade for you? jump in front of a train? nah bitch. i’d let a thousand bullets shoot me just because you you asked me to. i’d even step on lego for you-BEAT THAT SOOBIN #imromantic #imbetterthanhim

of course, you didn’t hate him

you could never hate him because he’s damn near impossible to hate

but soobin was unaware, believing his comment had shifted your opinion of him

he wanted to apologize, but you made effort to avoid him at all costs

so, he gave up and just decided to let it be because he wasn’t going to harass you into accepting an apology

which meant he also started avoiding you

so naturally, you assumed he now hated you

both of you jumping to conclusions higher than fuckin snoop dogg at this point-

whenever the friend group would hang out, the two of you would keep your distance

if someone made a comment about said distance, the pair of you just shrugged it off and changed conversation

you kind of just started to co exist

and this went on for quite some time and by some time i mean… the rest of high school

it wasn’t until you were a year into college did the misunderstanding finally get revealed

yeonjun had arranged for a mini reunion since you all hadn’t had much time to hang out in your separate lives

sure, you saw each other a lot but it wasn’t nearly as frequent and the groupchat had kind of died down

the meeting spot just so happens to be the same park where soobin crushed your soul that night

and for a moment, you considered not going

ha pussayy……..i am so sorry

but something deep inside tugged at your heart, and a gentle whisper echoed in your mind, encouraging you to go

so you did

the catchup was nice, and the group reminisced on high school memories

one of them being when beomgyu got stuck in the swing

and that topic opened up a can of worms

“wasn’t that the night that y/n started despising soobin?”

kai had bluntly pointed out, laughing along with everyone else

except, you weren’t laughing

them: 🤣 you: 😐

“despising soobin? i never despised soobin?”

everyone looked at you as though you had grown three heads

because what? what do you mean you never despised him?

“yes you did? when he made that comment about the pair of you being hideous together? you two stopped talking after that…”

after taehyun’s statement, you turned to soobin who looked just as confused as everyone else

“i didn’t hate soobin… soobin hated me?”

you had never seen anyone laugh as hard as the boys in that moment

kai was almost purple

not him almost cosplaying violet beauregarde from charlie and the chocolate factory

with all of them unable to breathe from laughing so much, you prodded soobin for an explanation

“well… after i made that comment, you kinda stopped talking to me and when i was going to apologize, you avoided me so i assumed you hated me and thought it was best to leave you alone…”

oh.

okay.

so you spent your last moments in high school believing that he disliked you

and he didn’t?

mhm. that’s fine. okay. yeah.

beomgyu, who was finally calm enough to speak, pointed between you

“wait… so… you didn’t hate him?”

and you shook your head

“i was hurt at first and needed some time but i didn’t hate him? i could never. it was quite the opposite really”

yeonjun let out a low whistle.

“perhaps we should leave you guys to talk this out.”

beomgyu gasped. “no? absolutely not! it’s just getting good.”

he was hastily yanked away with the group, leaving you and soobin alone in the spot where the miscommunication first took place

you could still hear beomgyu’s cries of protest in the distance

it was silent between the two of you for a brief moment

neither of you really knew how to start

until finally, the curiosity overwhelmed you and the silence was broken

me and the silence are the same fr 😔

“why was the idea of dating me so repulsive to you?”

soobin was stunned by the bluntness of your question, his face conveying surprise.

“i-i really wasn’t.”

“then why did you act so disgusted?”

grill him bae! like he’s a steak! grill him!

soobin looks perplexed for a moment and then his phone dings

you almost can’t believe the audacity of this man as he pulls out his phone to check the text

and then, his shoulders slump and he slides the phone over to you which displays a notification from taehyun

‘tell them the truth, i don’t mind.’

huh?

“taehyun had a crush on you back then… he had confided in me and i didn’t want to upset him…”

taehyun had a crush on you?

not you collecting txt like infinity stones

your head was starting to pound

“why didn’t he ever tell me?”

soobin shrugged. “i think it was just a passing crush. he started liking someone else a couple months later.”

thinking back, there was a period of time where taehyun had acted different towards you

you had noticed his lingering gazes and ignored them, chalking them up as nothing significant

and suddenly, his silence during the teasing made a lot of sense

“so… you weren’t repulsed by me?”

soobin shook his head, now looking rather shy

“it was quite the opposite. i’ve always found you quite spectacular.”

spectacular 🤓

“i’m really sorry for avoiding you.”

“me too, and im especially sorry for acting repulsed by you… though if you’d let me, i’d love to make it up to you?”

soobin was timid, his shoulders hunching as the words nervously slipped out of his mouth

you cheeks burned, but you tried to rein in your hopefulness, the last thing you needed was another miscommunication

“how would you do that?”

“well, i’d love to take you on a date if you’d let me… and then many more after that if you’ll have me.”

his question strikes a chord deep within you, instantly soothing away the torment of the past and restoring a spirit of hope that maybe you could be something more

in that moment, the october breeze felt like a scorching wave of lava, scorching your skin

“i think i’d really like that.”

More Rodrick headcanons because why not

His guilty pleasure is that he's a swiftie. His friends once caught him singing along to one of her songs and he explained it away by saying he only knew who she was because he thought she was hot, but the truth is that he listens to taylor on repeat when he's thinking of his crush.

He doesn't really use social media, he has Instagram just so he can promote his band and follow local venues, but he doesn't have a clue what a tiktok or a snapchat is. If he wants to talk to people he'll just text them.

He's really into lego, he takes tremendous pride in his creations. His parents got him a millennium falcon set for Christmas one year, and it's his pride and joy. He's considering getting a big glass case to keep it in.

Now that they're both older, he and Greg really get along. It's routine at this point for them to go on drives together and show eachother their favourite musicians. When Greg does well in school or has a bad day, Rodrick takes him to get burgers.

He doesn't use makeup remover for his eyeliner, just hot water, which doesn't really work very well. As a result of this, he always seems to have panda eyes even when he's not wearing any makeup.

He's never been in a proper fight, but he can land a good punch. He's fairly certain that if he ever did get into an altercation he'd come out of it alright.

He's scared shitless of spiders. He likes them in theory, he thinks they look cool, but he doesn't want to be in the same room as them (but he'd never kill a spider, he'd take it outside with a glass, shrieking the entire time).

On the contrary, he loves snakes and rats. He thinks they're really cute, and would love to have a pet snake someday.

childish antics: wil! minji x fem!reader

they say, you know they’re the one if they support your childish antics. minji just so happens to be the same person who wants to stay at home and build legos with you.

warning/s: none, established relationship, not proofread

spade speaks: you can read this as stand alone, no need to read what is love first

as childish as it may seem, you managed to persuade minji into buying lego sets.

college life has been hectic, within the first three months at Korea University, the amount of papers and experiments you and minji have done just led to burnout. providing a solution to it was playing with legos, at first minji was hesitant because shouldn’t you two be saving money to pay for your necessities?

“well… yeah but i have enough money saved up to at least buy two lego sets.”

“save it, yn. who knows when we might need those funds.”

hanni was right, you two do act like an old married couple. considering you now both live together, do weekly hangouts with your friends and treat them as your children, and discuss things that only married couples do. that’s probably due to the fact you’ve been friends since elementary.

“please, we can just get those small ones and not those big sets.” minji was already planning on buying a set for your 8th month anniversary but then again, this is one of the rare occurrences of your professors being chill.

“fine, we’ll just buy the small ones.”

“this is why i love you.”

looking around the big lego store that was near their place, minji slowly regretted agreeing to buying the small sets. the small ones were something you could finish on your own right away, while the big sets, specifically the one you’re eyeing, is perfect for the budget and an activity of you two. those puppy dog eyes that usually don’t work easily on minji suddenly paid off as she saw you holding the starry night set. she deeply regrets saying yes to the small sets, now that she sees the way you’re jumping up and down after paying.

before you could actually leave the store, you noticed the make your own character, pulling minji back in and telling her your genius plan of making one for the both of you and the last one being a complete mess of a character.

“I’ll pay for it, i promise.” you’ve always been true to your words and minji could only nod but explained she wanted to build you as a lego, while you make her character. simple, but not a lot of pieces have that specific wow factor that made you think of minji. 

after 10 minutes of making your own minifigure, deciding to surprise each other, only ended up with the two of you laughing.

“WHY’D YOU GIVE ME A RAT AS AN ACCESSORY?!”

“DON’T ACT ALL INNOCENT, YOU GAVE ME A COKE ZERO!”

you continued teasing her about that one song she wrote on the whim about coke zero, it was catchy but it felt out of place at the same time. the way minji just laughs at your antics catches you off guard on how you manage to be her girlfriend. you spent years pining for her and finally you’re together still acting like best friends who kiss each other and are staying under the same roof. as minji’s laugh died down, she could only stare back at you with confusion, a small smile on your face and seeing as your minifigures are holding each other’s hand.

“what?”

“nothing, i’m just- in awe.” you kissed minji on the cheek, pulling away you started looking for pieces for the last minifigure.

“don’t give it an afro.” as childish it may seem, when you’re with minji, you don’t care anymore. she’s definitely the one you want to spend the rest of your life with, someone who supports your childish antics and lets you have fun when things get rough.

“the last one surely looks like it got my style and your looks, darling.”

“maybe that’s something we’ll see in the near future.”

I did fuck all yesterday. It was after 12:30 before I woke up, then it took me until after 19:00 for me to be showered/changed/teeth brushed/properly fed because I was in too much pain and was too out of it. Then I did absolutely nothing except clean all the dishes, give the kitchen a wipe down, and then rearranged the pedals and rerouted all the cabling for my pedalboard, which took all of thirty minutes. Hardly a packed day.

The thing I still struggle with the most all these years of being sick is just not being able to do as much as I wanted, and having to scale back plans massively. Being hesitant to start a task that I really want to do, either because I need to do it or simply want to do it, is another constant stumbling block. I'm always worried that I might crash if I push it, or feel like I'm not up to it because I'm feeling cognitively sluggish or in pain. So many days are wasted simply laying in bed.

When my symptoms were milder than they are now I got so much done on a good day. I could clean my whole apartment in a few hours without breaks, sit down and play a game for an afternoon without distraction, read an entire book, go for a walk, practice my guitar for upwards of two hours at a time, write, draw, go on a day trip, go to a concert, and have a drink with friends without instantly crashing. I used to have plans to travel Europe, I had a big list of all the cities, archaeological sites and museums I wanted to visit, and I very much doubt that will ever happen now. I wanted a career, but there's not much chance at that either.

It sucks.

Anyway, underneath the cut is a before and after shot the pedalboard. I've also written a short review of each pedal I ordered as a part of building my pedalboard. There are a few guitar players among my followers, and they might be interested, because these Chinese pedal manufacturers punch way above their weight, and each of these sounds way better than its budget price would suggest.

There, that is just way more organized and neat; I mounted the two power supplies to the bottom of the board with double sided velcro tape (also, just want to say it, velcro is fuckin' magic). I wish I could do the same with the power bar and wall warts, but this board isn't tall enough. A board tall and large enough for me to do that costs around $170ish, and this one, although a few decades old, is otherwise perfectly fine, so I'll live with it. Oh I also fitted these little aluminum foot-switch caps onto all the pedals. It just makes them easier to use and it doesn't feel like stepping on a Lego if you're only wearing socks.

Pedal Reviews:

Joyo Buffer Tune: It's a tuner and a signal buffer in one pedal, there's not much else to say. It does what it says on the box. The addition of a DC out for daisy chaining to another pedal is a nice touch if you're running out of 9V outlets from your power supply. The signal buffer works as advertised and my tone is notably improved when it's engaged instead of the true bypass.

Caline CP-205 Power Supply: These are fantastic and they really are isolated. These two power supplies add absolutely no noise to my chain, and the amperage allocated to each output is very generous (7x 300mA, 1x 500mA). All of the outlets are 9V, but seeing as I don't own any 12V or 18V pedals and wasn't planning on buying one, I went with this model. Caline sells a different model, the CP-207, that comes equipped with 12V and 18V outlets for those who need them. One of the two supplies I bought did develop an issue out of the box with two of the outlet short-circuit lights not coming on despite being plugged in. Those two outlets are otherwise fine and still deliver the proper voltage at the correct amperage, making this essentially a cosmetic issue. It's a very minor flaw with what is an otherwise fantastic product. Highly recommended if you own more than a few pedals, and are looking for a better solution to power them than 9V batteries or daisy chaining.

MoskyAudio King Rat: This pedal fucking rules, it's a spot on clone of four distinct flavours of the ProCo Rat circuit (You Dirty Rat!, Fat Rat, Turbo Rat, and the classic Rat). It sounds fantastic and damn near identical to the real things. The opamp toggle between an LM308 and OP07DP is a neat gimmick in theory, but in practice it doesn't do much at all because switching from the former chip to the latter shouldn't really alter the sound, they have the exact same specs. At most you can hear a slight EQ tweak between the two that is best explained as variations in parts tolerances. That said, this is just an overall killer distortion pedal with a lot of flexibility and a ton of tonal options. You can get everything from a '60s garage rock tube amp distortion sound (Dirty Rat), to ripping US punk tones (Vintage Rat), a high gain thrash metal lead that sounds even better if you stack it with an overdrive (Turbo Rat), and a near fuzz tone (Fat Rat). There is so much value in this $45 CAD pedal it's honestly shocking, comparable boutique pedals are frequently sold for $250 to $350 CAD.

MoskyAudio Big Fuzz: An interesting pedal, not as versatile as the King Rat also from the "M" series, but it does the '70s Big Muff fuzz sound I wanted to achieve and a little more besides. The "π" setting is a dead on recreation of an Electro-Harmonix Big Muff π, and I have no notes, it's great, it's a Big Muff. It's unclear specifically what the "Tonebender" and "M" settings are emulating however. I've read a few opinions coming from people with more knowledge who are of the opinion that the "Tonebender" setting is emulating a common Big Muff modification of removing a transistor from the clipping circuit rather than recreating an actual Tonebender Fuzz, while the "M" setting is Mosky's own take on the Big Muff circuit. The fourth setting is a clean/treble boost and probably isn't something I'm going to use very often but it's cool that it's there. The "Voice" switch really does alter the sound, unlike the TM308/OP07DP switch on the King Rat. Or at least it does with the three fuzz settings, essentially doubling the amount of fuzz tones you can coax out of the thing. Again, just a killer value in a $45 CAD pedal.

Caline "The Noise" Noise Gate: It does what it says it does on the box, it's a noise gate. It will remove buzzing, feedback, and string noise if you turn it up, but you shouldn't turn it up all the way or you will lose playing dynamics and sustain. With this pedal the noise gating feels quite responsive and the option between a "hard" or "soft" gate is a nice touch. It's perfect for my needs and was a steal at $35 CAD.

Joyo Vintage Phase: A clone of the classic MXR Phase 90. It does what a Phase 90 does and sounds great doing it. Easy to use with just one knob. Unlike every other pedal reviewed here it also includes a battery door and can be powered by a 9V battery. If you want a phaser, this one is $44 CAD.

Caline "Wave Machine" Chorus: This is just a classic sounding analog chorus, I believe it's a clone of the Boss CE-3 Chorus, a favourite of everyone from Andy Summers to Kurt Cobain. You can be very subdued with this pedal and add just a touch of depth and sparkle to your sound, or you can make everything sound like it's beneath the waves. I love it. Again another steal at $50 CAD (compare to $200 CAD for a Boss CE-3)

Caline "So What" Flanger: From what I understand, this pedal is not quite a straight clone of the classic MXR Flanger (a pedal I've wanted for years because John McGeoch used one) instead it mostly replicates the MXR circuit but replaces the "Manual" knob (a frequency filter) with a "Delay" knob allowing you to control the delay time for the time shifted and phased signal. The sounds I've been able to get out of this pedal range from "razor knife made of ice" to "crashing jet fighter" which means it's exactly what I wanted. It sounds great, and another deal at $44 CAD (a new in box MXR Flanger is $250).

Now, sound wise? It's great, and credit should go to Keeley for that. I love the reverb effects I can get through this. The reverb has three settings: a shimmer reverb, a classic spring reverb, and a lightly modulated reverb. The delay side is just as versatile and sounds wonderful. I like my delay on the subtle side, but occasionally you want to go overboard and make some feedback, this does both. The option is also available for varying degrees of modulation on your delay sound. Also impressive is the inclusion of a trails/true bypass switch inside the pedal which allows you to choose between having the effect turn off immediately or for the reverb/delay to finish echoing out after the switch has been turned off. Neither side is as fully featured as many standalone delay or reverb pedals, and maybe at some point I'll substitute this pedal with a Joyo Aquarius Delay and Joyo Atmosphere Reverb. Even if I do that I'm still going to keep this one around because it is just so versatile and sounds absolutely fantastic.

DemonFX Ravine Reverb/Delay: A clone of the Keeley Caverns pedal, and a clome that is verging on "counterfeit ripoff". When I ordered this pedal I wasn't aware that there was a controversy surrounding DemonFX as a company. A lot of people think they're a little scummy for not just copying the circuits of currently produced boutique pedals, but also everything else down to the artwork, knob hardware and labels, and even DSP code/algorithms. All of the other Chinese pedal manufacturers put their own spin on classic/vintage circuits. Caline and Joyo are very well respected budget/midrange brands at this point, and when they do clone a circuit they at the very least design their own artwork for their pedals.

I am, admittedly, a little out of the loop and had never heard of the Keeley Caverns before I ordered this. I just wanted a little reverb and delay, I couldn't afford two separate pedals, and this was the most feature rich of the combined reverb/delay pedals I saw. Does knowing the controversy surrounding this company change my perception? Yeah, a bit. I do think it's a scummy tactic (at least pay for a different graphic design), it's ethically dubious, and it's kind of a great deal. I can't really afford to spend $300 CAD on a single pedal (the asking price for a new Keeley Caverns) and I got this on sale for $70 CAD.

Dolamo CP-1 Compressor: It's not a very exciting pedal, but it does what it's supposed to do, compress your signal. Dolamo is Caline's even more stripped back and "budget" lineup, and with just the two knobs there's not a whole lot of flexibility in sculpting your attack/sustain. I plan on replacing this with something else as soon as I can with one of Caline's compressors from their main lines, either the CP-52 Gale Force (MXR DynaComp clone), CP-47 Pressure Tank (Diamond Compressor clone), or G012 Python (Keeley C4 clone). Until then it's good enough, and was worth the $26 CAD.

Amuzik Harmonizer: Surprised by this one and how well it works. It's a very small package but has more features and flexibility than I would've thought. It's capable of producing those big fat down octave sounds like the one on Neil Young on "Hey Hey My My (Into the Black)" or those pinched up octave sounds that Hendrix used frequently, which is why I wanted it. I really like it, even if I haven't found much use for any of the non-octave harmony settings, a lot of those just sound really weird and unusable. Still it tracks really well, shockingly well for a cheapo OEM pedal sold under several different brand names. Down the line I could see myself replacing this with just a straight octave pedal, specifically an octave pedal able to produce two or more simultaneous octaves, like the MXR Poly Blue Octave (or a clone of said pedal). Until then, I'm really happy with this.

There's not a whole lot of room left on my board as it is, but eventually I want to pick up a few of those solder-less custom cable kits where you cut the cable to the required length and then screw on a ¼" tip (I think I'd need at least three). Doing that would save up a fair bit of space and make room for a few more pedals. I wouldn't mind eventually getting a tremolo, a vibrato, a ring modulator, a DigiTech Whammy, an MXR Poly Blue Octave...

They didn’t believe him, blaming it on lack of sleep and the haze being shot brought, but Tim was sure he saw Jason. Older, bigger, with a white streak in his fringe, but still Jason.

Here is my Super Speedy Lego build in response to Good Omens season 2. It doesn't actually reference anything in the show, it's more of a What Might Happen Next.

But I don't want to spoil the experience for anyone who hasn't seen it yet so you have to click read more to see it. It's very nice .

I honestly felt like I had been punched in the chest after The Finale. So here is my response.

It's not a fix it exactly, but I wanted to put Our Disaster Puppy in a better place, and not completely alone.

I really slapped this build together, although I started work on the cottage about 2 years ago, so had a box of things I had prepared.

I was going to wait, but I have decided that Crowley drives out of London, rat friend in tow, decides to visit Devil's Dyke and Somehow Acquires this abandoned cottage, with it's overgrown garden and the squirrels living in the roof.

absolutely! so, one of the more important diverges in the (recent) timeline of claydolls is that four years after the wave of manager hires is complete (the 1.3 gang), there's another wave of hires that are outsourced. a couple of them people that follow me may have already seen before (namely Alarmist and Pack Rat), but some of them are new specifically for this AU, like these two jerks!

i made both of their models today by cobbling together existing meshes and textures like i was building a lego set.

the Observationalist is a new hire that focuses on security & privacy - specifically the breaching of those. he's been overseeing a program that has the end goal of ensuring all employees of C.O.G.S. Inc are closely monitored at all working hours. he's got a very sunny disposition despite the type of work that he does!

Thinktank has been on board with C.O.G.S. Inc notably longer than rest of the new hires. she's been hired for a decade, but worked remotely from Suitopia. however, edith & her subordinates recently made the move over to be closer to their employers. rumor has it she's got a kid, but doesn't like talking about him.

the influx of new faces has the Resistance on edge - but it hasn't been easy for the previous hires to get used to it, either. they already had more than enough interpersonal drama as it is!

More spiderwoman au ideas!

First and foremost, Mirabel already has her own room. She got it when she was 7, but seeing as the room was still in the location of the nursery. Antonio still slept in there, but Mira didn’t mind, tonito was a cute and calm baby. 

After Antonio didn’t get a gift, he got an additional room in her room. Both have their own side for privacy & such. 

Casita hides both their spider suits once they come back from fighting crime. They know it would be rare for anybody except Dolores and Camilo to go into their room but just to be safe, Casita hides them. 

Speaking of Casita’s walls, Bruno doesn’t live in them. Yes, he disappeared, but he disappeared a few neighborhoods away from Casita. He has a good paying job and a nice living space, and yes, he still has rat babies. But not as many, he has about 3 of them. 

I feel Bruno had seen both spider bites before they even happened. So now Bruno just worries for them but still cheers them on from the sidelines. 

Because Gwen doesn’t really have a place to stay, she often stays with Mirabel. Though VERY discreetly. Casita also made a small living area for her, similar to Bruno’s in the movie but with more feminine touches. 

Isabela and Alma still be runnin their mouths about La Aranaposa and Arana nino. And as always, Camilo and Dolores be defendin the two heroes.

“Why is someone so young out there, that “Aranaposa” should be ashamed of herself for letting that child be so close to harm” - Isabela

“Si, he could get hurt at any moment” - Alma

“Abuela, haven’t you ever stopped and considered that maybe they were both born with those powers and maybe thought they should put them to good use? haven’t you ever stopped and considered that maybe this whole city would be in shambles without them?” Dolores said politely but sternly

“And Isa, it’s been 6 years since Aranaposa came about and a year since Arana nino came around, don’t you have ANYTHING else to talk about? Anything, idk, NEW in your life?” Camilo added with an irritated tone as he also looked at Alma in the corner of his eye. 

“NO politics at the table please” Julieta kindly chimed in as she harshly softly slammed her fist against the table. Julieta has grown tired of these conversations every other breakfast, lunch, or dinner. 

I decided to change the family dynamics, everybody is fine with each other. Julieta and Pepa take time off when they need to and so do the gifted grandchildren. Alma is trying her best to be a good abuela. Before Bruno left he wrote a note addressing the families issues, how alma is the cause of most of them, and how they need to be fixed. So, for the past decade the family has been relaxing and only put their powers to use for emergencies or for fun. 

So Isabela and Alma talking about the spider heroes stems from a place of concern and worry, the family knows that, but it’s still annoying. 

I have a feeling Antonio is a very independent kid because of his duties. I mean yes, he still loves his parents and goes to them for advice, but he does a lot of things on his own. For example, he used to let Mira or his parents read him bedtime stories. But he’s so tired from helping with battles that he can barely stay awake for them. So he either grabs a book and reads it himself or just goes to sleep. 

 Hobie had said at some point that the one of the things that is known about spiderman is their independence. So Antonio held onto that with a tight grip. 

All the family hears from the boy now is “no thanks, I got it” “Nope, I got it” “It’s alright, I can do it”

If he wants something as simple as pb & j or just a sandwich he’ll make it himself, and seeing as he has an easy bake oven, he mostly makes lunch or food by himself. He’s actually a pretty good cook. I saw in your drawing that Antonio gave Miguel some Arepas, so let’s just say Antonio made those for him. 

When Miguel says to lego spiderman “your one of our best” I like to think that the other best he’s talking about is Jess, Mirabel, and Antonio. Like seriously, Jess can beat an enemy on a motorcycle WHILE PREGNANT. Mirabel can take out mysterio with one punch and Antonio can take out the hobgoblin with one kick. Which he has.

Oh yeah, they call Jess, Tia. Why wouldn’t they? She's Tia material. 

Mirabel and Antonio had caught about 3 anomalies together, and 3 anomalies on their own.

Oh yeah, even though not everybody likes the two spider kids, people do like to do some stuff where they know they are appreciated. Such as painting the two on some walls, leaving gifts, etc. 

Gwen taught Mira how to play the drums and Hobie taught her how to play the electric guitar. And Antonio likes to help Pavitr feed the street dogs in his universe

Because the internet is a bit much Gwen started out small and gifted Dolores, Camilo, Mirabel, and Antonio Ipods. The spider teens love giving them song recommendations.

Antonio’s favorite song is hummingbird by Metro Boomin and James Blake, recommended by Miles

Camilo’s favorite song is silk & cologne by ei8ght and offset, also recommended by Miles. 

Dolore’s favorite song is link up by Don Toliver, it reminds her of hanging out with Mariano, recommended by Margo. When listening she just has to keep the music really low. 

I feel like Dolores, Mirabel, Camilo, and Antonio’s favorite music genres are R & B, modern pop, y2k pop, and 90’s rap with some occasional rock songs recommended by hobie. When it comes to listening to rock Dolores has to keep her noise canceling headphones on, then listen to it. 

Like every spiderman in school, the two are bound to miss some classes but thankfully they have good excuses. Just to let you know Mira missed about 6 classes and Antonio has missed about 4. 

Miles should have never given Mirabel, and by extension Camilo spray paint. He introduced them to the idea of graffiti; they were amazed by it. The two only use it for good things such as giving an old or new shop a touch up. The designs are always spectacular and match the theme of the shop so no one can really get mad. 

Antonio loves playing with mayday, he finds her adorable. He also likes to play with spider cat and spider rex. 

STOP THE SPIDER DUO HATE IN ENCANTO 2k23⁉️⁉️⁉️

No but seriously. Can’t keep letting this slide. Not that they others are letting it slide 😭 mfs went OFF, really came for them huh. And they just let it happen because they both know that the other two are right 💀

Also let Camilo have access to spray paint <333 don't withhold his supply, let him do graffiti❗ Also iPods. Omg i think my cousin had one and she gave it to me when i was like 8 or 9 😭 but their taste in music is peak, especially wit that R&B and Y2K 🦅🦅🦅

Here’s some tweets from Doc Wyatt’s Twitter, answering a question from a fan about the old storylines of Ninjago and their possible inclusion in dragons rising.

The question was:

“Hi Doc, Could Anything that had Wasted Potential Get Some Light in this New Series of Ninjago.

There was More Questions then Answers in the Shows old Show.

Doc’s response was:

“A fair question. As Asa said, we're trying to make a show that new viewers, or kids watching for the first time, can understand without having to know 14 or 15 seasons of lore to follow the story.

But that said, it's also vital we honor the storytelling history that made Ninjago great. So yes, we'll be picking up some story threads from the classic series (no spoilers about which ones).

But we're going to need to build to them. Ninjago is, and always has been, a story that unfolds over time. The first Ninjago saga took 12 years to tell.

I'm not saying Dragons Rising will go for that long (I have no idea how long it will run) but if you don't see your favorite storyline immediately picked up on June 1st (or in fall 23) don't think it never will be. Ninjago is a world, not a single season”

…so essentially it is very possible that old storylines are going to be picked up, or at least, Ninjago is keeping their options open.

The trailers show that dragons rising is already paying homage to much of ninjago’s worldbuilding, with the inclusions/mentions/cameos of:

The realm of madness from season 1

The cloud kingdom from season 5

Various races (who have now fully integrated into ninjago’s general public) such as the hypnobrai (s1), whack rats (12), geckles and munce (13), merlopians (Seabound) and possibly nindroids

Ghosts from the departed realm have also been seen in the Lego sets

The concept of Elemental masters is acknowledged

All I’m saying is that there are so many more opportunities to touch upon past story beats, since every area of Ninjago is easily accessible now. That means the first realm, the never realm, the cursed realm, the underworld, djinnjago - they’re all revisitable!

And personally I would be willing to wait 12 years if it means the writers can come up with a good way of reintroducing any of the old concepts. I don’t wanna get my hopes up but just think of the possibilities!
