I don't want to do it. Do what? Being disappointed. It's not your fault anyway. I don't want to bad-mouth your family. I just—What's wrong with me? I've lived well until now. So what do I lack? I value myself more than anyone else. So I want to give up. You said I could make a mistake. I hoped that we'd just have problems of our own. Because that kind of stuff is something we can work on. It's within our control. But when it comes to external problems, I have to endure them. And I don't like doing that. Whenever I was faced with relationship issues, all I had to do was just end the relationship. It was my instinct to run away. Because I hated letting myself get hurt. This is why I didn't want to meet you. I knew I'd end up saying this considering how I felt.

The handsome Han Jihyuk is exactly Lee Eun-gyeom’s type, but his personality is a total turn-off as he proceeds to work Lee Eun-gyeom to the bone. Holy yikes, Lee Bo Gyeom is unhinged! 😲 Such a cute face, such a cute smile and then, bang, he goes after you with a beam! But I don't think he would've done that to that obnoxious girl if she hadn't tried to set up Seo Woon.
Tumblr media
Also...
SPOILERS FOR THE WEBTOON
... I think they will stick to the webtoon and use the Seo Woon's memories in exchange for Hae Na's family's curse thing but it won't be just Lee Bo Gyeom's temper tantrum for being stuck for so long here. I think they will use the equal measure thing that's so prevalent in magic. If you want something - or want to undo something - you have to offer something of equal value.
That's why Lee Bo Gyeom needs Seo Woon and Hae Na to fall in love, so that he can use Seon Woon's memories - and thus his love - to break Hae Na's curse. But he will do it knowing that it can be undone if their love is strong enough, they will just have to suffer for a while. Because he actually likes them fools.

Bad and Crazy was a show I've been wanting to see since tiktok has been going nuts over it and honestly, maybe we should all listen to tiktok more often 🤔
Tumblr media
Not only does the drama star Lee Dong Wook and Wi Ha Joon it is also packed with so much action, it kept me at the edge of my seat for most episodes.
But before we get into it: _________
Soo-Yeol (Lee Dong-Wook) works as a police officer for the Mooui Police Department. He is competent at his job, but he also has questionable ethics. He will do anything to achieve success. Due to his ambitious personality, he has received promotions in a short period of time. His smooth life suddenly changes with the appearance of K (Wi Ha-Joon). K is a righteous person, but also a crazy person. Whenever he faces injustice, he meets it with a fist. He dreams of being a hero.
Meanwhile, Hee-Gyeom (Han Ji-Eun) works as a police lieutenant on the drug squad at the Mooui Police Department. She is also a righteous person and enthusiastic at her job. She once dated Soo-Yeol.
-AsianWiki
______________________
Cliché (for a kdrama) episodes in Bad and Crazy don't seem to cliché for this show as everything makes sense plot-wise and I absolutely loved Soo-Yeol's self realisation as well as character development.
Tumblr media
In addition, the chemistry between Lee Dong Wook and Wi Ha Joon is unimaginable (granted, they play the same character - somewhat ...) but having achieved that it makes the whole plot of the show so much better.
The audience find themselves rooting for the onscreen pairing, wanting to see more of them in action.
Tumblr media
Their comedic timing in the show was also impecable, often breaking down very tense or deep moments - allowing the audience to take a step back from an action oacked scene and take everything in with a new grain of salt.
Tumblr media
The romance was not really explored in the drama, but it was also a very nice additional surprise.

Hi :) what are your faves kdrama ?
Hi hi! :D Whenever I get ask about favorite dramas my perspective always seems to change as time goes by tbh! Here's an old ask from 2021 that included my favorite kdramas — but now I'm honestly really picky with what I call a "favorite" drama. Like yes, I still very much enjoyed past ones I called a favorite but if I had to put it in a category it'd be that I just enjoyed it a lot in the moment. If that makes any sort of sense 😭 For a drama to be a favorite I literally need to feel some sort of attachment to it. So if I would give a list of fave kdramas it would literally be like just one ngl 😅 But anyways I'll list kdramas that I enjoyed watching and would recommend giving a try! (read until the end for that one favorite kdrama haha)

Eve
Year : 2022 | Country : KR | Nb of episodes: 16
My rate: 7/10
Synopsis :
Lee Ra El was a girl who idolized her loving parents – a highly intelligent father and a strikingly beautiful mother. But when cruel forces beyond their control cause her father’s death, her family crumbles. Embittered by this terrible experience, she vows revenge on the super-rich people who orchestrated this terrible tragedy. Her prime target is Kang Yoon Kyum, the CEO of the lucrative LY Group business empire, and one of the ringleaders of the plot that ultimately destroyed her family.
Lee Ra El’s weapon of choice is divorce. By placing herself at the center of a legal battle worth a staggering USD 1.6 billion, she hopes to bring Kang Yoon Kyum and LY Group down once and for all. But in order to do so, she will need to wage a bitter legal struggle and fight powerful forces both inside and outside the courtroom. However, this plan has been in the pipelines for 13 years for Lee Ra El, who believes she will use all of her guile to catch Kang Yoon Kyum out when he least expects it. Can revenge bring her the satisfaction she craves – or will it end up consuming her?
Main cast :
Seo Ye Ji as Lee Ra El/ Kim Sun Bin
Park Byung Eun as Kang Yoon Gyeom
Yoo Sun as Han So Ra
Lee Sang Yeob as Seo Eun Pyeong
My thoughts on this drama :
This was another quite heavy themed drama. Quite dark, overall. It is a story about revenge. It is pretty hard to follow at times, what with all the legal battles and usual chaebol businesses. Though not a favourite, it is still an excellent drama for those who like serious, modern dramas.
A Favorite ?

Lee Minwoo successfully completes solo 20th anniversary concert… 'All-time Legend' artiste
Tumblr media
Lee Min Woo. Photo credits]LeanBranding
Singer Lee Min Woo successfully completed his 20th solo anniversary concert, proving that he is a 'legendary solo artiste.'
Lee Min Woo held his last show for his 20th solo anniversary concert "STORY" on 2nd July at Shinhan pLay Square Live Hall.
During the concert, which was a series of 8 shows that began on 23rd June, Lee Min Woo captured the hearts of fans over a running time of about 150 minutes through his usual impressive performances, as well as stable vocals, sweet stage mannerisms, and witty remarks.
# Setlist that changes with each show, differentiated concepts
Lee Min Woo made sure that fans who went for multiple shows would enjoy a unique experience each time and not get bored by changing the setlist for each of the 8 shows. During the segment 'TIME to listen to songs sung in M's voice' where he personally sang songs recommended by fans using a karaoke machine he prepared, Minwoo received a passionately hot response to his version of songs in various genres by artistes NewJeans, Im Youngwoong, Sung Sikyung, Melomance, Black Pink's Jisoo, S.E.S, H.O.T, Jannabi, Damons Year, Crush, Jang Beomjun, YB, Kim Jongseo, COOL, and Shinhwa.
Additionally, through dance challenges of different idol dances by BTS Jimin, BTS J-Hope, Jisoo, NewJeans, LE SSERAFIM, SEVENTEEN, NCT Taeyong, and Taeyang, he caught the attention of fans by performing as a "first-generation top idol" should.
To top it off, Lee Min Woo drew attention with his colourful fashion and atmosphere by setting a special 'dress code' for each of the 8 shows. A total of 8 concepts were set, namely Retro Look, Cutie Look, Date Look, Red Point Look, Vintage Look, HIP Look, Denim Look, and Vacation Look, giving each show a different vibe together with the fans.
# New song in 9 years, Wonder U
At the concert, Lee Min Woo not only performed existing hit songs and hidden masterpieces, but also prepared a surprise gift of a new song for the fans who have consistently supported him for the past 20 years or so. It is the first time in about 9 years that Lee Min Woo released a new song under his solo stage name "M", since his "M+TEN" album released in 2014.
Lee Min Woo made me look forward to his future plans with his more sophisticated and upgraded music, even more so than his current 'M' image.
# Legendary Artiste Presence
Lee Min Woo delighted his fans' eyes and ears by presenting songs of various genres and moods that he has released over the past 20 years. From an emotional and calming mood to fatal sexiness, intense and powerful performances, a funky style that makes those watching want to move their shoulders, and the sweet appearances that captures women's hearts… we enjoyed all these high-quality stages that only Lee Min Woo could do.
He also performed all the songs with a live band, showing off his perfect skills as an "All-time Legend".
After finishing all the shows, Lee Min Woo said, "Performing 8 shows was a huge challenge for myself." He also shared his gratitude, "I am grateful to the fans for making this challenge possible." "It was a precious time where I was able to sincerely do my best. I was so happy," he shared, expressing his emotions.

random thoughts about run on, episode thirteen
(please do note that this post contains spoilers so read at your own risk.)
“where’s the coutesy in letting me say it first?” “i’m a coward” at least mi joo is self aware. but this episode made me understand her a little better
this episode has put me on an emotional rollercoaster to say the least
part of the reason why i didn’t like mi joo is because she’s been passive in the relationship, but with this episode, i now know the reasons why. she doesn’t like enduring external problems. she hates letting herself get hurt. and with all her past sh*tty relationships, i can see things from her pov and that helps my previous tumultuous (idk i just wanted to use that word) relationship with her
it’s interesting that we see eun bi and mi joo’s discussion when the roles are reversed. eun bi keeps on going after ryan even if he always runs away because she knows he loves her a lot. we can say the ki siblings never run away and always keep on fighting for what they think is important.
it’s also very telling how mi joo keeps on thinking she “doesn’t deserve him (seon gyeom)” she’s been saying that from the early episodes and that thought has never left her ever since. he kind of has that ‘perfect’ image where he’s kind, patient, understanding and motivates people. he’s also righteous. it’s never easy comparing yourself with your partner. it could damage the relationship (look at me being a relationship expert, a fake one though)
and that sentence has finally reconciled me with mi joo “i sometimes end up being faced with my own flaws (when with seon gyeom)” you’d expect to feel loved and understood in a relationship but when you think your partner is ‘perfect’ then you can’t help but just fall down the rabbit hole that is comparing yourself and feeling undeserving. i do hope things work out between them
yook ji woo is an interesting character. she admits choosing her own career over motherhood and doesn’t even dream of becoming first lady. she wants to be remembered as yook ji woo and not someone’s wife. even though you can see she does care a little bit about her children, she’s the one who admits her mistakes. she doesn’t hide behind excuses. she’s just truthful. unlike her husband who keeps saying he loves his family, only to use them to his advantage. both yook ji woo and ki jeong do are both career-driven but the main difference is ki jeong do cares a little too much about his reputation than yook ji woo does. ex: sending his daughter to play golf with his friends/colleagues so they’d compliment her (and him also), showing up with his wife at the movie theater and demonstrating his love for her with a bouquet of flowers, etc.
even with seon gyeom’s efforts to make woo sik enter a track team, the recruiters are still stuck on the whistleblower incident. shows how corrupt the sports world can be. prefering to keep things on the down low instead of punishing the culprits. sigh
i’ve seen that scene on kdrama funny moments compilation but it’s another thing to watch it in its entire context. mi joo and seon gyeom looking at each other when there’s a brawl right behind them is HILARIOUS. i can’t i simply can’t lmao
mi joo taking lee su bin under wing was such a heartwarming moment. she kept defending her and standing up for her, acting like her older sister. it’s true she takes action when it comes to problems that are not relationship ones and i was so happy to see sisterhood once again in this show. women protecting other women 💓
oh and another thing i noticed about the su bin bullying incident is that both her and mi joo don’t have parents. it brought them closer in no time. they have this thing only they can understand.

Run On
Tumblr media
I'm having a hard time trying to decide if I liked it a lot or just so. Ki Seon Gyeom and Seo Danah are from influential families where their fathers want to use their children as pawns on their boardgame; so for them life is about thinking about consequences of their actions and what their parents want; meanwhile, Oh Mi Joo and Lee Yeong Hwa are free to express and do the things they like. These unlikely people become friends and there is growth in these characters but the plot at some points felt anti-climatic. I liked how strong it started. Seon Gyeom assaulting the teammates who had been bulling Kim Woo Shik and sent him to the hospital. The issue of bullying in sports teams and how victims are treated was a topic that really got me invested because I couldn't believe how they protected the bullies and turned their backs on Woo Shik for speaking up about the abuse. And I guess the series treated the topic in a realistic way because Kim Woo Shik was treated as an outcast and Seon Gyeom refused to be given a pad on the back for his actions because he had wanted his punishment to be applied to the bullies but this never happened. Seon Gyeom becomes an athlete agent and helps Woo Shik get back in shape.
I liked how Seon Gyeom learns to make decisions based on his desires, his feelings and I like how he learns to open up to people by being with Mi Joo and becoming friends with Yeong Hwa. I like Seo Danah too. . . The story just feels like conflicts are brushed and solved in very simple ways. I think that conflict wasn't as important as seeing these characters bloom ad find each other, forming ties with lovers and friends. So, i would say that if you are looking for a series that is light and ends well, this is a good choice; but if you are looking for a strong story with solid conflicts, then this is not it.
Still, I did like it and recommend it for when you are in mood for something cute and light.

Our Beloved Summer: A Hilarious Reunion with a Second Chance at Love
Tumblr media
Remember those epic high school rivalries that blossomed into something more? "Our Beloved Summer" takes you on a nostalgic rollercoaster ride with two ex-lovers who are forced to reunite for a documentary. Expect hilarious flashbacks, awkward encounters that will have you hiding behind a pillow (but peeking!), and a romance that simmers with undeniable chemistry. Will they rekindle the flame or just fan the embers of old arguments? Buckle up for a heartwarming journey that'll leave you in flashbacks. I love how this drama delivered such aesthetic cinematography.
2. Summer Strike: Finding Yourself by the Seaside
Tumblr media
Feeling a bit burnt out and like the world is spinning too fast? "Summer Strike" is your chill pill in drama form.
