The Last of Us werewolf AU
Okay hear me out: AU where everything is the same but there’s also werewolves and Joel is a werewolf
So basically around the same time the cordyceps breakout happens a break out of lycanthropy does too. The lycanthropy comes about when infected wolves bit humans, their strain turned them into werewolves instead of zombies. But they keep their minds in their human form and in their wolf form they just act like normal wolves. And they’re basically immune to the zombie strain since they’re already infected. Kinda like how Ellie’s immunity works but it makes them a furry.
So at some point, after Henry and Sam but before they get to Tommy, Joel and Ellie run into a werewolf settlement whose goal is to bite anyone they come across so they become immune to the cordyceps. So they bite Joel and Ellie but because Ellie is immune she doesn’t turn into a werewolf.

Ophelia as a character really breaks my heart, especially the funeral scene. I don't know how I'd want my loved ones to react to my death but I know for sure I wouldn't want my brother and the man who cruelly rejected me to start fighting over who loved me more and competing over who could leap into my grave the fastest. Like fuck off with both of you :(

In the DLC for ace combat 7, the enemy pilots Rage and Scream are actually called that as a clever allusion! The allusion in question? Me raging and screaming after the fifth time I get shot down by them despite the fact I spent another 10 minutes replaying the level just to get to that point :)

Shockingly, googling "crochet disability aids" does in fact come up with disability aids for crocheting, rather than "crochet this to decorate your disability aid". Nice.
The metal hooks I got are annoying in the small sizes because the handle width shrinks in proportion to the hook size and makes it even harder to use than it needs to be ..

do you think writing and drawing is a skill or a talent? perhaps a mix of both?
Mostly skill imo. Talent usually means "born with a skill“, which is literally impossible. You can’t be born with the ability to write good if you don’t even know what language is.
The only things you can have a talent for are intrinsic stuff, such as shape recognition, logical thinking, perfect pitch, etc. and even then those can be trained to some degree. Sure, you might have a really good feeling for words or colors or whatever, but you still don’t know why the art is actually arting, and there’s other parts involved in that skill which still have to be learned.
If these intrinsic things happen to align with with a particular skillset, it serves as a boost, and that’s what that talent would be. Talent is intrinsic things that happened to align in a way that made learning the actual skill easier.
Ig it’s basically like making a character in an rpg, be it table top or videogame. Sure, you might have a +5% modifier or a bunch of extra points in strength from the start which gives you a massive boost, but you still gotta level to be good at it, if that makes sense?
All those music prodigies still have teachers, after all.
But idk, that my opinion anyways.

I love bass lines written by piano players because as someone who was classically trained god they are so user friendly. I stand by the idea that pianists and guitar players have fundamentally different approaches to music because of how different notes/intervals/chords are layed out, both visually and physically when you play them. I say this as a vocalist/flautist lmao but I stand by being able to tell when someone is a pianist or guitarist at heart, regardless of which instrument they are writing for/playing. Purely the fact that pianists think in letter notes and (atleast in my case for bass) guitarists think in semitone intervals is so fascinating. Then again I think of everything in vocal ranges
