Someone came and took a nap in the bed my mom and I are sleeping in and I wasn't expecting it so I had left my pyjamas and some medical equipment on the bed and now I can't find my scrunchie and I'm not at home so I don't have a stash of more scrunchies and I'm too tired to continue searching so I'm going to sleep without it and not only do I not remember the last time I slept with my hair unbraided and scrunchiless, I'm not sure I've ever used my BiPAP like this.

TC's Practical Writing Tips

Like I said before, I'm not gonna sit here and pretend that I can teach anyone how to write – that's a level of hubris even I'm not capable of –but in honor of my rapidly approaching ~quarter century of writing original fiction anniversary~, I did figure I would share the tips that I live by when it comes to the act of writing.

So without further ado:

Write it now, fix it later

2. It is always permissible – and usually enjoyable – to write the stupidest possible version

3. "Inspiration" is great for poets, but poison for people who write prose

3.1: if you want to write often, you need to write often, and then you will find that you don't need to be "inspired" because you will have made a habit of it and it will come naturally 3.2: even one sentence a day is still one sentence a day. And even one sentence a week is still one sentence a week. It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop 3.3: believing in the concept that you need to be inspired to write will trap you into believing in the concept of writer's block 3.4: if you are having difficulty getting out words that satisfy you, lower your standards and keep writing (see point one)

4. A few months down the line you will not remember which words came easily and which words did not

5. It is always permissible to set a project aside for now, or forever, if you need a break

6. Read widely and often, both in your favorite genres and outside of them

6.1: pay special attention to both things that you love and things that you hate - study them, engage with them, learn what makes yourself tick and your writing can only get stronger

7. Never write for the lowest common denominator, via wise words I once heard: "if you open the window and make love to the world, your story will get pneumonia", have an audience in mind and the people who like what you write will find it

8. Never write for the bad faith critic, those people will always exist and you will need to deal with them at some point if you put your writing in the world, but they don't matter and you cannot live in fear of them

9. It's fine and normal to want engagement and praise, however you must find a way to make the act of writing joyful in and of itself – make the praise the cherry on top, not the entire sunday

9.1: writing is hard work, and it's a lot of work, if you lose the ability to enjoy the journey and are proceeding only for external rewards from others, you will gradually write less and less if the ratio of work to rewards is unsatisfying

10. For anything other than final copy editing, always write a new draft into a new document, or else the words you have already written will trap you from being able to make large, sweeping changes

10.1: any change you make will invariably snowball, and you must give space for that snowball to roll

11. If someone tells you that something doesn't work for them, believe them, because people know what they like. But if people try to tell you what to do to fix it, take that with an entire serving of salt because you are the author, not them

12. It is always morally correct to look at a critique that you received, even if you asked for opinions via beta reading, and decide that it's bullshit and doesn't apply to you

13. "write what you know" means "write what you're interested in"

14. "Show don't tell" applies to screenwriting, not novels. This is the thing that drives me the most insane every time I see it. Novels are words on a page, not images on a screen. They require a lot of telling. Not all telling, but a lot of telling. Become comfortable with that.

15. It is always, ALWAYS acceptable to use "said", do not listen to the lies of others

16. Have fun, do it out of love and you will never go astray

17. Become comfortable with who you are. Your work is always going to be yours and it is always going to sound like you wrote it, and this is a good thing! No one else is ever going to write exactly like you, and you should be proud of that

17.1: the concept of "originality" is vastly overrated, every culture has some version of Cinderella and we still love it. Your writing is yours because you wrote it, and it will always be unique because of that

Roy: So you trust him? With everything?

Jason: I’m not an idiot and I’m not going to reveal everything until we talk offline. I don’t even know if I want to. Of course he’s not afraid of the undead from his town and he didn’t convict Hood for his actions when I asked him for his opinion, but talking about a specific person and some vigilante from the shadows is different. I don’t want him to be afraid of me or be disappointed in me. But somehow part of me believes that he will take this side of me. I sent him a picture with knives on my thighs, and he didn’t care. And one time, I messed up the chats and I sent him a threat that was meant to check on my new guys. He yelled at me. Because I could be reported to the police.

Roy: Well, if you like him, just try not to screw it up.

Jason: I’m trying. And by the way if Dick finds out about our conversation, I’ll throw you in the river.

Roy: Dude, you’ve known me for years! I bet you don’t threaten your lover like that! Have some trust.

Jason: Okay. So, I don’t know what to do, Roy. Fenton is perfect. But he’s a civilian. Phantom looks dead handsome but I know almost nothing about him. And what I know I learned from Danny. And now the fic that I’m writing is full of adult-rated scenes. Of course, I don’t add them to my work on ao3, but it’s still so weird.

Roy: Have you tried sending this to Fenton? With any luck, he’ll take it as flirting.

Jason: What? Hell no! He thinks I’m a mercenary for Red Hood. He’s gonna think I have wet fantasies about my boss and I’m gonna lose all self-respect, and he’s gonna block me and...

Roy: Okay, okay, slow down a little. We both know you’re weird, but you’re not that weird. And he’s not even your boyfriend. So his opinion doesn’t really matter.

Jason *whispers*: He's my husband. And it does.

Roy: Dude, I mean, I support your vibe but isn’t this guy supposed to know that he’s gonna have the title of the husband of a crime lord first.

Jason: Fair.

8. Prince Iroh has advised the servants not to reveal to His Majesty what the meat in turtleduck dumplings is. Apparently, he thinks the name comes from their shape. The dumplings are not shaped like turtleducks.

8.1. Now that His Majesty knows, be ready to recite the names of all the turtleducks in the palace at a moment's notice, and also to reassure His Majesty that they are all safe, accounted for, and uneaten.

9. His Majesty should be kept apprised of any "sightings" of the Blue Spirit. The Blue Spirit is an entirely fictional creature. However, his belief in it is entirely benign (and as far as eccentricities go, we've all seen worse) and likely something he will outgrow with age.

9.1. Do not lie about any "sightings". If His Majesty is told that the Blue Spirit was sighted near his window, he will be extremely distraught for the entire day. The Fire Lord has too many real assassins to worry about already. There is no need to add imaginary ones to the mix.

9.1.1. And whenever he is distraught, his footsteps are even quieter than they normally are. It is hard enough to keep track of his movements as it is.

10. While His Majesty has approved the "Kick Ozai Retreat" for servants who were mistreated by Ozai of the Fire Nation (titles rmvd, dishon.), it will never be organized. Please suggest other activities for the Servant Wellness Day.

10.1. Yes, that is because Avatar Aang found out.

10.1.1. Specifically because of the very heartfelt and very long speech he gave on the matter. And the fear that he might give one again.

10.1.2. And no, we can not "simply tell the Avatar to shut up." He is the Avatar. And he is also a 13-year-old boy. His dragonling eyes are very effective.

11. Princess Azula is at the stage of her treatment where she will take regular trips to the palace, dividing her time between her island and here. We're all terrified, but there's nothing we can do.

11.1. Lady Beifong has offered to act as protection, should the need arise. On an unrelated note, the kitchens will now be serving a number of delicacies from the State of Gaoling.

11.2. At the specific and undeniable request of Master Toph, The Blind Bandit, her titles and styles have been updated and they will be enforced effective immediately.

12.1. If Master Katara appears to be discreetly looking for someone, that usually means that one or all of His Majesty, Avatar Aang, Master Toph, the Honorable Tribesman Sokka, or the lemur Momo are in some kind of trouble. Assist her. Before one of those idiots gets themselves killed.

12.2. Do not vandalize the handbook, even if it's true. Also, please do not call our Fire Lord, the Avatar, Master Toph, or the Avatar's beloved pet an idiot.

13. Any senior officials who wish to challenge Fire Lord Zuko to an Agni Kai should be directed to the Fourth Scribe's office. They should also be told that there is a waitlist.

13.1. If the Honorable Tribesman Sokka wishes to challenge the Fire Lord to an Agni Kai again, he should be denied. No matter what he tells you, he has not developed Firebending abilities by means of "Spirit World shenanigans" or by Avatar Aang "just giving them to him, Energybending style, like best buddies do, you know."

Good Omens Headcannons cuz I'm bored and why not

1. Crowley overthinks a lot and its so dumb but so cute. The few things he still overthinks a lot about: When Aziraphale told him "You go too fast for me, Crowley" he knew that it wasn't his driving at all and thinks its something else ( which, in all fairness, is something else). He also thinks that Aziraphale doesn't like his name and always tries to think of one that the angel might actually like.

2. Aziraphale does not have a specific gender cause he thinks its nothing really to think about while Crowley basically tries to own every single on of them.

3. Aziraphale learned to dance the "gavotte" thinking that one day, he and Crowley can dance it. Bonus: an improvised closing step done by couples dancing the gavotte is to kiss each other, I bet Azi knew that and instantly thought of Crowley. ( i think this is a little bit canon )

4. Crowley created the endearment "angel" ( I think this is kinda canon somehow )

5. CANON : When Anathema first met the two, she thought they were together because Crowley called Aziraphale "angel" ( at least in the books )

HEADCANON : When she found out they weren't together, she kept telling them how they were MADE FOR EACH OTHER.

6. God is there no.1 shipper. (Me at 2nd place tho-)

7. Aziraphale reads smvt for fun and isn't emberrassed about it because he literally normalizes it.

8. ​Crowley never hated Gabrielle that much until he and Azi "switched" and found out how they treated his angel. He wanted to punch him so much but kept his composure because he thought Aziraphale might get mad at him. ( also MIGHT be canon but I'm not really sure )

9.1.Azira definitely fell in love with Crowley when they first met as angels and then either 1, didn't know what it was but he just knew he wanted to be with Crowley for the rest of eternity, or 2, he realized that it was love which they thought was wrong so he supressed those feelings because he knew or thought that they weren't going to return those feelings for him. Whether it was situation 1 or 2, Aziraphale was just content with the fact that he was there with Crowley, he may not be able to tell ( or even know ) his feeling for the other, he's still happy to be there with/for him.

9.2. When Crowley fell ( sauntered vaguely downwords ) he thought he lost everything, but then he saw an angel, he saw Aziraphale. And then when they talked so easily with him like almost nothing really happened and that he gave the humans his flaming sword, she realized that she fell in love with Azi. He already knew that Aziraphale was kind of special for him, he just didn't really see it. It also made him aware of his situation where in any time and moment, he can lose everything to him like how he lost his "everything" back in heaven.

9.3. In the WWII flashback, where the actor Michael Sheen, who plays Aziraphale, describes the look Azira gave Crowley after he saved his books the "final look" implying that he realized that he really did fall for Crowley that hard AND that he thinks the're might be a chance for Crowley to love him back. (again. idiots in love who are bad at communicating with each other)

10. Crowley loves being complimented by his angel but he wouldn't show it because he thinks Azi might think he's weird ( he's overthingking it again )

11. Crowley changes his hair over the centuries/years to see which ones Azi likes/compliments the most. ( Aziraphale seemed to compliment or notice whenever Crowley grows his hear out so during GO2 she was growing it out)

12. Zir pronounce for Beelzebub. ( idk if I'm using them right ngl, i just saw neil's tumblr post )

13. Azi knows how to drive a car ( more specifically his and Crowley's Bentley ) but he likes it better when the foul fiend drives him to his bookshop.

14. Crowley is cold-blooded because he's a snake. ( might be canon but idc tbh )

15. Crowley and Aziraphale can change what they look like ( change SOME things ahout their body ) but are afraid to do so because they think the other won't recognize them.

16. Whenever they had a "huge fight", Crowley would buy, -miracle- Azi first-hand books while Aziraphale buys him different kinds of wine/plants.

17. Before Armage-didn't and when they would be separated because of a certain miracle-ing mission from their head offices for a long time, they would send secret letters to each other and if the're not able to, Crowley re-reads the letters his angel sends to him while Aziraphale listens to the playlists Crowley recommends him throughout exchanging letters. ( don't worry, Crowley knows very well what kind of music his angel is into ) ( also i can imagine Crowley being like "This song reminded me of you <3" with a song either something to be funny like liturgical music or heartfelt songs from Hozier or David Bowie )

18. The bentley prefers Aziraphale as it's driver (shhh, don't tell Crowley )

19. Crowley turns into his snake form when he's sad. But when he's EXTREMELY sad he goes to the pub and tries to discorporate by intoxicating the body he currently has. ( He fails though, all the time )

20. After Beelze appeared randomly in the Bentley with the flies on S2Ep1, the Bentley would suddenly go feral whenever there is an insect inside/near it. ((When I said feral I mean; it starts making weird engine sounds, it plays random and mixed songs , it's lights and gears would flicker on and off, etc))

21. After Crowley fell, heaven gave him snake eyes so that, even though a bit difficult, he can still see the stars he created. ( Heaven didn't give him the eyes of an animal that can't see or completely blind because they want him to suffer with the fact that he can never perfectly see his creations again )

22. One day, Azira heard of a new band that was getting quite popular called "Queen". It happened that Crowley had a new car and decided that, as a gift, it needed some, unintentionally permanent, music. (( Found this one on tiktok and thought it was sweet ))

During Miorine's impromptu enlisting of Earth House to help run GUND-ARM, we see the spray painted sign that Miorine and Suletta made beforehand leaning outside the door. Given that they definitely didn't make the sign at Earth House, I like to imagine that they made the sign, and Miorine was like:

"This is the worst. Suletta, help me carry this sign to Earth House."

S: "W-why, Miorine-san?"

M: "They're going to be working at the company so I'll just have them make a better sign."

S: "Oh, did you ask them?"

M: "Not yet."

During this scene where Martin and Ojelo are talking, we get a look into the betting program he and Nuno are always using, and we get to see the top 10 ranked duelists at Asticassia at the time of this episode.

Of special note: Shaddiq is currently at rank 1, and due to the gray up arrow next to his rank, we can see this is a recent change in his rank. But considering that he doesn't duel very often, (at this point he currently has 7 wins and 0 losses) we can probably assume this is because Suletta has knocked both Guel and Elan from the top spots, leaving him alone at the top. His Odds are at 1.3

Suletta is currently at Rank 2, and we can also see by the gray arrow that this is a recent promotion. She probably rose up after defeating Elan. Her odds are 1.9.

Elan is Rank 3, and the red down arrow means he's recently been demoted, presumably after losing to Suletta. His odds are 2.7

Guel, surprisingly, is still rank 4 with a 3.4. Because he's the only pilot at the school to have won a double digit number of duels, his Win - Loss ratio is still presumably one of the best, even with 2 official losses.

Sabina is rank 5, with a 6.9. She's not only the second highest ranked pilot in Grassley House, but is the 4th best among all the other members of the main 3 houses. Even at that, her rank is 6.9, 3.5 points below Guel's. It really goes to show the gulf between the best pilots and the VERY best pilots at Asticassia.

Lauda is rank 7, with a 9.1. Still top 10, but he's eclipsed by Guel even at his lowest. It's nice to see proof pre-Schwarzette that Lauda can hold his own, and it gives more context to his statement that "[With a Gundam's power], he's a match for his brother." He's probably never beaten Guel in a duel, and with the difference in their results, he's probably never come close, either. On some level, he probably resents him for that.

Renee is rank 10, with odds of 13.3. We don't learn much about Renee, but we know now that she's the 3rd highest ranked pilot within Grassley, underneath Sabina and Shaddiq, but the gulf is large.

I don't think there's any way in hell to figure out how the odds are calculated, (I've tried.) but we know that the lower the odds, the higher your rank.

Because the names are color coded, we can actually see how many members of each house are in the top ten. Grassley - Shaddiq, Sabina, Renee (3/10) - 30% Peil - Elan (1/10) - 10% Jeturk - Guel, Lauda, Ragnar (3/10) - 30% Earth - Suletta (1/10) - 10% Unknown House - Olta, Jonas (2/10) - 20% (These two names are color coded the same, so I'll assume they're in the same house, as 'unhoused' students have the standard blue color coding : e.g Miorine)

Okay, we're ALMOST done here, but, because Ojelo often says the odds of a duel out loud during it, we can actually track the odds of Guel, Elan, and Suletta up to this point. (Ojelo always says the odds in terms of Person he's betting on's odds - Opponent's odds.)

This is the Recording System that opens when Prospera sends her all of Aerial's past data. The screen is similar to the one that appears when Eri is speaking to Lfrith, but other than that there's not much info that can be gleaned here.

Not text, but I really how during the scene where Suletta asks Prospera why she lied to her, and Prospera continues to lie to her about why, Suletta's face is drawn in a way that's uncomfortable to look at once she falls for her manipulation.

This scene is also where Prospera tells her outright that Gundams are safe, and for nearly the entire rest of the series, Suletta repeats this, even when faced with direct evidence to the contrary because she wholeheartedly believes her mother would never lie to her for no reason.

Okay okay FINAL non text thing I PROMMY, but this scene implies that at some point, Suletta spoke with Shaddiq about the situation with her mom for at least a little bit at some point. I wish we got to see that.

Not text (sorry i lied) but I think it's interesting that the video Miorine watches of her father's speech is a secondhand recording and not an actual recording of the event.

Some closer looks at the editing software used to create the PR video. The name of the raw video file is GUND-ARMInc.PV01, and the placeholder text for the GUND-ARM Inc. Logo is GUND-ARMInc.PV02.

Also all of the silly visual effects like the hearts and musical notes make sense when you realize they had Suletta edit the actual video.

We can actually see Till's rough sketch of the GUND-ARM logo on his tablet screen, complete with construction lines. That's why they have to use a placeholder in the editing software, it's not complete yet.

Here is all of the editing (blessings) in the GUND-ARM PR Video 1. When Suletta walks into frame, the video is covered in a filter that makes hearts and stars appear on the screen. When the video cuts the first time, the filter changes to one that makes various musical notes appear on the screen. Then when it cuts again the filter is gone. 2. Suletta walks into frame, and then tries to correct her position, and then it cuts back to a shot of her in the original spot she was standing in. 3. Aerial is horribly keyed into the shot, and you can see bits of the green screen behind it. Tiko also walks in front of it and they didn't know how to edit him out. 4. When they begin the dance, each step cuts to a later time of day and Suletta looks noticeably more exhausted, which means they kept having to re-record it. 5. They kept having to edit Aerial's arms to make the dance moves work.

I like that Prospera laughs at the video, because for her, it's probably like watching her daughters having fun and playing together.

I've made more SOTE progress!!!! And I MEAN progress this time! Damn that was fun but I don't know whether to feel happy or sad because like I said, I really don't want this DLC to end ;-;

1) So, I went in the direction of the ruins place..... and then turned around and decided to get back to whatever dragons business I still had left bfhhhvhg And started with that cave which I recalled had a Wyrm (and also a HUGE bowl of spaghetti sauce gfhyhh)

2) After I killed it, I actually went back to Florissax! Apparently this is the name of Dragon Communion Priestess that is revealed indirectly, much like Boggart's! By that time, @val-of-the-north woke up and I allowed him to take my hand here because he warned me that her quest is terribly broken. And, God... -_- You have no idea how much, but perhaps I am getting ahead of myself....... 🤦‍♂️

3) I heard that I needed to kill two drakes above first, and my reaction was just 💀💀💀💀💀 Because I am AWFUL at fighting them! ......Or I USED to be, but perhaps I am getting ahead of myself hfuhfhybj [2]

4) Found this item in a shack nearby!

5) So, I figured that my usual "strategy" was not going to fly, and finally bothered to upgrade a weapon (big katana) with the built-in anti-dragon effect! You know, a weapon you OBTAIN in this very DLC! HOOOOOO BOY AT LAST!! TWO WEEKS LATER, SHE FINALLY GOT THE BRIGHTEST IDEA TO USE THE TOOLS SHE'S BEEN GIVEN 🙄🤦‍♂️

6) So I proceeded to go above, and met a singular drake, so I decided to actually fight it normally! No pussy long ass distance dumbass Int user combat! Close combat and learning the dodging patterns only!!

And it actually worked. I actually finally adapted to the dragons' moveset and when to roll in and not away, and how to stay around their feet right and how to run from the fire! After two goddamn years of struggling with dragons (excluding SOMEHOW first-trying Borealis, the frozen dragon) I adapted 🙄🙄🙄🤦‍♂️

7) Cool lore:

8) So yeah, in the next place, there were two drakes fighting each other (sure guys whatever), and I figured the boss one can first kill the weaker one so I was just standing and watching them like 🍿 until one left!

9) After defeating THIS one, I felt so much power that I decided to side-track and go back to kill two other dragons (the undead ones in Scadu Altus and Cerulean Coast). I didn't need it, I just felt SUCH a strong urge to do that, you have no idea!!!

9.1) Well, first I actually talked with Igon, because after both of the fighting drakes were killed he laughs and praises us for being a great drake warrior xD He gave me an item (his cut finger) that opens a change to summon him against Bayle, which he really asked to do!

9.2) Okay ANOTHER thing I did was to finally jOiN cOvEnAnT to talk with Florissax that Val asked me to do, because according to him I needed to talk to her at night, which was only possible after defeating the two drakes + I could now ask about Igon

9.3) She also revealed the roots of Dragon fascism; turns out that Ancient Dragons are after Drakes not for some prejudice reason against their species being "diluted", but because Bayle was the one to wound Placidusax and HE is the drake. Argh, can ONE person in this DLC have motivation to be an asshole that is NOT revenge!

10) So I was running around for a bit longer, visited another mine not far away from previous dragon (saw the big rock dude petting the lava slime there), and finally returned to Florissax!

....so, first, she was not appearing during the night. I tried to rest at the grace, still nothing. I tried again, nothing. I asked Val what was going on, and he wasn't sure and went looking on forums, meanwhile I tried to restart from another grace and travel to her location before the night was over! She still did not appear. 🙄

At this rate I started to wonder whether I broke the quest by not talking to her earlier before getting to Igon, but just for the heck of it rested at grace again, but now I skipped time to the night even though it already WAS the night! And then she FINALLY appeared near the Altar at night!! ...only, no new options or dialogue appeared!

According to Val again, I needed to catch her praying to herself so I could give her an item I already had. I reloaded the area, no praying. Reloaded it again, still nothing. Reloaded it again, and she straight up disappeared 🤦‍♂️ I thought that was it, and quest got broken, but just in case I quit the game and started it again.... AND IT WORKED.

....I am WITHOUT WORDS. According to Val, Jarburg quest used to be the same on launch.

11) But yes, she was praying to Placidussax, saying she surrendered her sleep so he could rest, and we got the choice to use Thiollier potion, that did mention it'd merely make dragons sleep for a bit. Damn... to think of it, Elden Ring quests give enough hints.

12) Val reassured me that was it and I just needed to skip a few days in game, so I went to murder remaining drakes! Fast enough, I killed them! Both of them!! However, the one in Scadu Altus was fighting with a lot of Black Knights and it was just entertaining to watch for like 15 minutes until they all finally died 🍿🍿🍿

13) me before: NOOOOO WHY DRAGONS ARE SO HARD, Val I do NOT want to hear your yapping about how they're not """that""" bad, I don't care and I will just run past them ;-;

me now: NOOOOOO WHY ALL DRAGONS IN THE GAME ARE OVER ALREADY, they needed to put more of them in to kill!!!! ;-;

14) I talked to her, where she was very crashed by having fallen asleep:

"I have broken my pledge. I succumbed to the deep slumber... that was meant for my Lord. Twas a craven act! Of a foul and lowly beast! Forgive me, good warrior. My Lord will no longer look upon me. I have fallen from grace. An old dragon no longer. Go on, leave me be."

15) So, I did gfjgffhg And proceeded to go above! Honestly, when I was looking at this area in the world's map, I was SURE it wasn't explorable...

Also, my complaining about no longer having dragons to kill was met!! There was another dragon, an ancient one now! It gave me a bit of a challenge for several times, but I remembered that rocky things are all weak to magic damage so that + defending myself from bolt more helped x)

15.1) This dragon is named Senessax... Sigh... Remember my theory about Placidussax? Zullie (the youtuber) datamined that he had 2 male heads and 3 female heads (1 male and 2 female missing), so I speculated that those heads turned into Granssax, Fortissax and Lanseax? Now that there are more dragons named with -sax, I feel like this theory aged like milk ;-; On the bright note, I recall King's Field (?) had a pair of white and black dragons siblings, so since Fortissax is black and Lanseax is pale and they're siblings, maybe it is return of the trope?

15.2) Fingers in the Ruins are rocky creatures with gold (AKTYALY amber) sewn into them, and ancient dragons are rocky creatures with amber sewn into them... I guess the ancient life is just like this?

16) I finally met Bayle!!!!!! And I actually laughed when Igon INSTANTLY started screaming curses at him upon being summoned XDDD The most character ever! Also cute that he said Bayle was going to face "the true drake warrior and him" gfhhbv He doesn't acknowledge himself as one anymore because of his fear, but acknowledges US!

Took me a few tries, but like I said, I finally adapted! 😎

18) I talked with Florissax about the victory! She gave dialogue: "Ahh, finally, our wish is granted. Our dream, long yearned for, has come to pass. My Lord was blessed with great insight. He saw in the insatiable hunger and fierce spirit of man, the very things that would fell Bayle, our wretched nemesis. Warrior, you soar with the strength of dragons. Whereas I am fallen. Leave me be."

And gave this item! Sooooo that's how her name got revealed!

19) There was an option to tell her that we put her into sleep ;-; I was a bit nervous to pick it but felt like I should jtythhhgb

"Never, in all my years... How could you inflict such cruelty? No, that is not for me to judge. Whatever your hand in it, it was I who succumbed to the sweetness of slumber. The fault lies with me. I may be fallen, but I need not surrender my honour."

20) So, she continued:

"On the second thought (? not certain, I forgot to write the starter), I believe you do owe me something for the transgression. On a mere whim, you've stripped me of my one and only Lord. So yeah, I ASSUME that her set is available, and I am not 100% sure whether her head piece is just the mask or simply how her head is supposed to look! She does have a face data, but she would need to since her model uses NPC mechanics, so it could be ignored?

I just haven't seen the description yet, but ER logic does let us adopt to appearances of others (like getting hair of other characters for example), and her body appears to be very black and shriveled, with sharp inhuman features! I sure hope that her look IS how ancient dragons in human form are supposed to look! It would offer an insight on how Lansseax used to look when communicating with the Dragon Cult!

(Besides I am still biased since I wss cursed with boring portrayals of Godwyn x Fortissax where the latter was a basic bitch yaoi bishounen without even the slightest monstrous features 😔 Even horny Lanseax waifu artistd had the basic dignity to at least add some horns and scales hfhyghj Okay that was my monthly voucher of being a petty bitch used, until the next time when my mask of respecting all type of creations cracks hdhhjgfhhnhh)

Afterthoughts I had. About Vash, Wolfwood and human connections, point of views and how it affects me as a reader. Mostly babble.

Wolfwood has been our point of reference for some time. While the story is about Vash and his struggles, it is Wolfwood's (and Meryl's) reactions that make us not only understand how out of place Vash' behaviour is, but it is their reaction that makes us want to understand Vash. We share their struggles and not Vash’. While Vash is the protagonist, without Wolfwood we would have so much less reason to try and empathise with Vash. Wolfwood’s struggle with Vash pulls Vash down from the position of a higher being to someone, whose intentions we can scrutinise and dissect, someone we can see flaws in and we can critisise. Wolfwood's struggle with and around Vash makes Vash at least humanoid, if not human. We do not get much insight into Vash’ thoughts and are pushed away from any real talk like Wolfwood and Meryl are. We are shown the flashbacks and they give us an understanding how Vash’ ideals came to be, they give us a reason. But we are never really in Vash’ shoes. We see him from the outside, how he persists holding up his ideals to his own detriment. And through Wolfwood and Meryl we feel for Vash and are hurt by his self destruction. And we are helpless like them, because Vash does not change. He does not listen, does not even try, because he stubbornly holds onto his ideals without really understanding them.

Especially the struggle of Vash' pacifism (which is none by the meaning of the word) and Wolfwood's seemingly ease in killing is an interesting one. We constantly see Wolfwood struggle with Vash’ behaviour in the story, we see him reflect, we see him argue and give reasons for his own behaviour. We see Wolfwood persist to try and bring this struggle to rest, not only due to his own guilt, but because he wants Vash to take care of himself, he is hurt by Vash getting hurt. (Ironically, it is only at the end, when Wolfwood temporarily seems to take over the protagonist role that we get flashbacks and the foundation of Wolfwood’s reasons and ideals.) But we do not get much back from Vash in that struggle. Vash is not shown in a way that we really understand him. We get the little talk in Home, but not much more. And I understand why that talk leaves Wolfwood frustrated.

Same with what people mean to Vash. We get information like: Vash knows every face and name in Home. But those always read for me as so robotic. That is not a connection to people that Vash has there. Brad is a perfect example for this. Vash recognises Brad, but Brad has a completely different picture of Vash in his mind. Why? Because he has seen him last (and most likely for a short time) when he was 5 and now he is 17 years old. That is a whole lifetime! The older people of Home accept that, they care for Vash, but they surely had a similar struggle like Brad. A want for a connection, a relationship, has been constantly been put at bay and become one akin to a shepherd to his sheeps. And the older people had to come to accept this, that they will not get more, that Vash will always push them away and they can only wait and hope. It is not a relationship between equals.

Moving on with Vash’ relationship to Meryl. Like with Home, he is constantly evading her and fleeing from her. Even her learning about his past does not come with his consent. Not with hers, either, really, but at least she had the want to know more about his past. And worse, after that traumatic experience, he rejects her care for him and that stops any real talk about it, something that would help HER to process things.

Wolfwood did not stay with Vash fully out of his own will in the beginning. He had to join Vash due to Knives. But Wolfwood came to understand Vash deeply. An ironic twist, because Wolfwood came to his understanding of Vash in the same way Vash comes to understanding of others. By observation and drawing his own conclusions. They never really talk about that stuff. They state it and that’s it. It is no real talk or opening up. And that’s for the worse. That way, neither of them gains a complete understanding of the other, just “just enough”. Wolfwood doesn’t know about Rem (he asked), Vash does not know about Wolfwood’s upbringing. And that’s why their first real argument due to Rai-Dei’s death always sticks out to me. Vash gets so much about Wolfwood, he gets the kind soul behind Wolfwood’s cold mannerisms and his ability to kill without hesitation, but he never does the next step in trying to find out why. And I have no doubts that this stalled not only their budding relationship, but also played a big part why Wolfwood did not shed his protector-behaviour towards Vash and asked for help.

Lastly, the change in Vol.10. There is a change in Vash and a massive one. Vash finally realises the importance of Wolfwood in his life and rushes after him. Vash changes from the followed to the follower. And we finally get an insight to what Vash feels towards Wolfwood and that is such a big change in Vash’ presentation towards us readers. From then on we get less and less insights into Wolfwood and are put in Vash’ shoes. We are the observers. We are with Vash. Wolfwood is the one who gets observed. We do not get any insights into Wolfwood's head when he dies. That’s why his scream and tears have so many different interpretations. We only get Vash’ thoughts. They completely switched places. For two volumes, Wolfwood has been our protagonist, but he has been Vash’, too. This experience has changed Vash, towards the world and towards us, too. We are back to not getting real insight into Vash when Livio and he eat. But we know of the change that has happened.

And the burial. We don’t get to see the burial, because even though we share Vash’ pov, that is too private to share.

Twenty facts about Chevalier Michel.

A/N: Chevalier Character Study Attempt Number 2. In this one, I leaned towards a particular flavor of his characterization. No spoilers for Sariel's route (I haven't read too far yet to include new info about Chev); just rambling about expansionist!Chevalier.

1. Emotions have always been a foreign concept to him.

1.1. The first emotion he’d learned was fear.

Not him as an active subject but of him. The object of the emotion. It started with the eyes: how people’s eyes slid away from him, even though he had to tilt his chin up and remained looking at them. Then came the head, how it bowed down, almost subservient. Then both the voice and the body: a trembling that could not be hidden, but painstakingly restrained lest they appeared weak to a child like him.

It’s then that Chevalier had to learn the necessity of observation.

2. Chevalier has eidetic memory. 

Paired with observation, it allows Chevalier the capability of absorbing and assessing information.

(A sharp memory has its drawbacks, however. Chevalier, up to this day, remembers with vivid clarity the emotion his mother displayed when he was found blood-soaked in his bedroom, a knife in hand, a corpse at his feet.)

3. He is a natural with swords.

Every hilt fits in his hand, as if they all are made for him.

4. He is a natural with everything else.

It’s why he’s called a genius. It only takes him a glance and he will have mastered it. They call it abnormal, this phenomenon, a once-in-a-lifetime blessing (curse?). His parents should have been proud of it, of him, but –

Despite how easily he takes them.

(He knows and understands the physics of swordblade cutting flesh and bone. He has experienced it.)

9. As a royal, Chevalier decided long ago that his existence is solely in the service of his kingdom.

9.1. It doesn’t matter if he does not become king; the responsibility still remains.

10. Contrary to popular belief, Chevalier is a simple creature.

He only wants one thing and one thing only: the continued existence of Rhodolite.

10.1. This makes him a straightforward and narrow-focused man.

(In this vein he is ruthless but predictable.)

10.1.1. To the point that morality and ethics are just mere suggestions, not pillars to be unquestionably followed.

10.1.2. He's a fierce advocate of pragmatism.

10.1.2.1. Ideals are a dream, unfit for the waking world.

(One can argue that his goal for Rhodolite is an ideal – thus a dream – in itself.)

11. It baffles him that people think he’s difficult to understand.

12. Chevalier adheres to a particular taxonomy.

Everything in the world can be classified by its degree of usefulness to him. The higher the usefulness, the more likely he wields its name.

In some cases, usefulness and worth are synonymous with each other.

13. As a lover of books, he has a keen relationship with words.

(In another life he would make a formidable lawyer.)

14. He doesn’t care what others think of him.

But he does acknowledge the power of a collective. He still is, after all, just one person. Against many, it can be challenging to sway hearts and minds. Compromise is crucial. A constraint, sure, but a crucial one.

Only to an extent.

(He is still called the Brutal Beast in spite of these constraints. One wonders what would happen if a beast roams free, unencumbered.)

15. Like all other princes, Chevalier works towards a prosperous Rhodolite – without enemies, without threats.

Leon calls it peace. Chevalier calls it order.

16. Unifying the kingdoms in the region is but a logical conclusion to Chevalier’s goal.

If they are to achieve true peace, then it follows that all wars must cease. Wars, by definition, are waged by different nation-states with each other. What else is the solution except eliminating borders?

(The question of civil wars remains, but Chevalier has a lifetime’s worth of experience in quelling internal problems.)

17. He is a manager, not a leader.

A leader inspires and bestows hope upon his followers. He is better off as the face of a group. But a manager – 

A manager controls. Organizes. Oversees the system so that the ship runs smoothly. Takes care of any mishaps. Deals with risks and threats. Handles everything down to its minute details. He works to maintain a functioning body. He works to maintain its existence.

Leon, Chevalier acknowledges, is a leader. People look to him for guidance and assurance. He’s certainly charismatic enough for it.

But Chevalier doesn’t need to be at the forefront to achieve his goal. He doesn’t need to be a king to bring into reality what he wants for Rhodolite. It’s actually better that way: to become king is to be exposed to constant scrutiny. If he wants results (as all managers want), then it is best if he works amidst fewer prying eyes.

That way, there is less constraint and more freedom to do what needs to be done.

18. He believes that the Belle system is a flawed and absurd system.

Just as concerning though, are the other two technologies the City is requesting: CCTV cameras and Real-Time Crime Center (RTCC) software.

The SIR proposes to not just install city-owned CCTV cameras, but also to allow “privately-owned security systems […] to voluntarily share video of storefronts and areas where the public has access” with the City. This would be a massive expansion of police surveillance, giving police potentially real-time surveillance video from any/every business concerned with petty theft or houseless people.

These feeds would then be integrated into Real-Time Crime Center software, which “provides a centralized location for real-time information and analysis” and “integrates dispatch, camera, officer location, gunshot detection, 911 calls, records management systems, and other information into one ‘pane of glass’ (a single view).”

Additionally, the RTCC software for CCTV cameras 'can also provide in-application video analytics that use machine-learned algorithms to analyze camera feeds and, using object recognition, locate specific items, people based on clothing, or vehicles based on description.' " Harrell, a proud Trump supporter, is entrusting a massive panopticon to the same police department that sent the most number of police officers to participate in the 1/06 insurrection and is one of the most brutal PDs in the US. SPD is a threat to Seattle, and with its regular training exchanges with the IOF, a threat to Palestinians as well.

OKAY SO- Daggers McTraumaboy has gone through *lots* of iterations. As I'm pretty sure I complained to you at one point, I had a hell of a time finding a look I liked.

Uh, enjoy a quick (hahaha, in your dreams) history of my Kullervo, I guess!

I wasn't super into Kullervo until I decided, "Eh, fuck it-" and tried him on the Circuit. I didn't initially like his design, and I didn't really know what his abilities were. Yeah, that time I took him on the Circuit? Instantly hooked. I was nervous about using a shieldless warframe, but when I learned Recompense could heal him, it was all over. I remember going ballistic to my friends when I discovered his Overguard.

Alright, cosmetics time.

Kullervo 1.0- Technically my first foray into Captura too, I just slapped a white Orowyrm's Rage sigil onto his chest, like I do to most of my frames. No alterations to his colors.

Kullervo 2.0- A few hours later, I settled on my first color scheme for Kullervo. A very dark blue, and a slightly lighter dark blue, with bright gold accent. Very pretty- except, in all lights the blue looked weird. It looked more like a faded black than a blue.

Kullervo 3.0- Next iteration of Kullervo lasted a bit longer, dubbed Orokinlervo. I'm pretty sure anyone who's had five minutes with Kullervo gave him a white and gold color scheme. I think I still have this one saved, but I don't really use it. No Orowyrm Sigil, for lore reasons when I was playing with the idea of having Kullervo be Callan's frame. (We've all been there, Duviri frame for Duviri Drifter.)

Kullervo 3.5- I discovered I could pull the knives out of him! Great success! :D I assigned my newly-hatched Helminth Charger, Orchid, to him.

(Apparently, I also made my weapons white and gold to match him.)

Kullervo 4.0- Unhappy with blue, I made him grey and gold instead. Like blue, there was a certain je ne sais que about the colors that rubbed me the wrong way, but I decided that Kullervo just wasn't a frame that looked good outside of his default colors. I thiiink I tweaked his energy(?) color a bit? Orowyrm Sigil and knives are back!

Kullervo 5.0- Fuck it, back to the default colors, screw having a custom look. (Save for the ubiquitous Orowyrm sigil.)

Kullervo 6.0- ...mmm but what if black and gold?? Gold is less intense now.

For the next little while, I rotated between the white and gold (knives out), the black and gold (knives out), and his default colors (knives in).

Kullvero 7.0! What I'd consider to be the direct ancestor to my current look. Two-tone grey, with silver. I changed his energy to be void-green. Knives stayed in.

Kullervo 7.5- Converted my first lich and got her ephemera, so added void-green vengeful shock ephemera!

Kullervo 7.6- Thought "hmm, gold is pretty" before slapping myself on the wrist and remembering that I hated how it looked. This one wasn't bad per se, I just. Lighting hates dark blue on Kullervo.

Kullervo 8.0 - Settled on mid-dark grey and silver. I was going for a Void Angel-inspired look, so I set my sights on the Seraphayre Ephemera from the Holdfasts. I disliked how the Orowyrm Sigil looked on his chest, so it got moved to his back, between his shoulders!

Kullervo 8.1- While I gained standing with the Holdfasts, I made the Fog of War ephemera and used that in the meantime.

Kullervo 9.0- Know how I said lighting hates dark blue and gold on Kullervo? I don't know how or why but I got it to look good on him. At long, long last. Ditched the Ephemera while Seraphayre was cooking. It was a tough choice, but I settled on taking his knives out once more. Also got the Vaenn skin as a treat to myself from selling prime bits to clanmates. (We had a running joke about the "Kullervo Big Sword Fund")

Kullervo 9.1- My current Kullervo! I'm super happy with how he looks- save for the black stuff on his face. (Unfortunate side effect of the Seraphayre Ephemera, but I really like the gold extensions it gives his armor.)

Hi! I’m having a hard time trying to understand this Jikook’s numbers thing. I’m new on it and even if i search for it, i can’t really get an explanation. I was wondering why is 11/08 so important for Jikook/jikookers, and why Jungkook posted that picture on 09/13. Could it refer to Jimin’s birthday, which is in a month from that date, or is there something about 09/13 that i don’t know either? Thank you already !❤️

It's your lucky week because jikook numbers are a hot topic nowadays!

Regarding 1108:

1108 is a connection that kjkkrs found in postings by Jimin and Jk even since the 8th of November 2015.

Since then, it has been observed that jikook post things marking different day milestones since that particular date. They also make reference to 1108 in songs and posting times of other posts.

Korean numerology is not my strong point at all as I'm still learning to not overthink it but it doesn't take much to add a few numbers around to see if the posting times and dates might have a jikook connection.

Numbers adding to 13, 11.08 (08.11), 9.1, 10.13, and now 11.58 & 3.24 could all possibly be jikook coded.

This is important because numerology is observed in Korean culture and Korean couples.

Jungkook posting on 9/13 simply a posting a month away from Jimin's birthday, to me. If I want to offer a delulu explanation I would say he did it because he is getting ready for Jimin's birthday. But who knows what he will end up doing!

Today was the day she practised for... she eyes this ice skating tournament for a while and also hoped Dragiselle would watch her on the screen from her room... even if she wished she could have come with her... before going out she adjusted her sidetail and looked around... just to spot one face familiar.

"So I was right that you would be my competition one day?"

"Well I moreso joined this for fun really... but its nice to see you, Nessa."

"Already skipping to Nicknames? I will surely make you regret if you take me lightly."

"I am moreso curious how you do without me... I am sure it be interesting to see."

The announcer called out her name as she took a deep breath and stepped onto the ice... the landings, the spins... everything about her was gracefull and calculated but... maybe even a bit too serious.... the jury could see. In the end she got a total score of 9.1... but to her she pouted a little about it.

"Great job out there, Inessa!"

"To me it was not enough... what could I improve..."

"How about you watch me and maybe get an idea?"

She glared a little at him as he swiftly walked onto the ice... yet as he stared his run... her eyes were glued to him... the charisma... the swiftness... he was far more into the emotion and character of the song... there was small mistakes but the Jury itself was far more entertained and awake... in the end he got an 9.5... and so he gained first place and she second among this whole event...

After the event celebrations was done he was a little surprised to feel her grab him by the collar to look at her.

"You need to teach me! I have to know your secrets."

"Nessa... what you need first is to calm down and take it easy, alright... I gladly want to teach you but... you first need to learn how to stress down and control your emotions."

She let her hand go... but somewhat her eyes still lingered up at him... she didn't notice how close she got in that emotional outburst, a bit of red on her face showed it well.

"Oh shut up... anyway I am glad you accept my proposal but I will try to calm down."

"How about the same as last time? We eat something and then we do some skating together... then I can show you the things you are missing on ice. Cause you have the talent but... you still need to learn to be less of an ice queen. Ouch-"

She didn't want to admit that smile of his at hers was kinda handsome to her... her feelings were a mess all over the place... how was he so mesmerizing not only on ice but outside... wasn't she in love with Dragiselle more... she shook off that feeling for now... and followed after him.

On that day Yuzuha spend most time sorting out his closet given a lot of things he simply didn't need anymore or they didn't fit him... he was surprised as Asif stopped by to visit him, reading to him some of the stuff he wrote while he sorted stuff but after a while he was curious too what Yuzuha was throwing away.

"Is that... a bunny suit?"

"I did tell you what I did before, right?"

A blush spread across his face.

"R-right... but... I do am curious why this one doesn't fit."

A smirk appeared on the glasses wearing mans face.

"Oh you want me to model some of these for you?~ I wouldn't mind it."

And so Asif sat back often avoiding his eyes once he changed but the surprise on each look on him was for one embarassing but also he looked kinda good in it.

"The problem with the bunny suit was really just my upper body kinda destroys it but... maybe you could-"

"N-no its fine... I don't think it would look good on me... the next one."

One thing Asif picked out for him got him to gush... it was like a fancy robe paired with the headpiece it made him look more regal and royal than anything.

"That outfit looks fantastic on you! You look like a prince!"

"If thats what you like... I will keep it..." He put his arms around his lips pulling him close... as Asif tugged the hair that usually covered Yuzuhas eyes to the side.

"Your eyes really are so pretty... like glass..."

"Tch... I don't like them as much... they remind me of my mother and... I don't want to remember her... but say~"

To Asifs surprise Yuzuha used the opportunity to catch him off guard and let them both fall onto the bed, stroking his face.

"I could also tell you a lot of things I find pretty on you... after all you are the reason I hate this world less than before... you make it worth living in."

"Yuzu..."

"How about we take a break... or do you wanna model for me instead?"

"Um... I'll think about it."

Yuzuha leaned over him to kiss down his neck a little... he could get a little reward for all the work... at least for now. He just loved seeing him blush for him.

Autumn leaves fell down as Mellow relaxed under a tree sketching... at first he wanted to draw simple things like leaves and mushrooms but eventually his head was lost in daydream... he got distracted by a thought... the last time he met Vivienne and assisted her as dance partner... he hid his face in his scarf as he sketched away self indulgent a small portrait of her... before sighing closing his sketch book and leaning back on the bench... holding it in his arms... but suddenly he was surprised by the same person he sketched before.. as he almost accidentally hit the back of his head and trying to not fall off the bench.

"You look panicked Mellow, are you alright?"

"S-sorry you just... jumpscared me a little."

"My bad... I just wanted to surprise you."

He offered a seat next to him on the bench as she sat down with him.

"I just saw you smile to yourself when you sketched. You have a really nice smile!"

His face couldn't get anymore redder than he already was but panic made things worse for him and he dropped his sketchbook... she picked it up for him and scrolled through it but thanks to that... she also saw his portrait attempt blushing as well.

"You tried to draw me? Its incredible."

"I... um... I... I-it was supposed to be a gift... as thank you for... umm..."

How could he explain himself without his crush on her seeming obvious but luckily she noticed how fidgetty he was and put a hand on his shoulder.

"I love it regardless of the reason... I would be happy that if you ever finish it I can see it."

"O-okay... then I will share it with you. B-but actually... it wasn't the only sketch I did."

He turned the page to another finished piece... one with her in a princess dress... a gasp escaped her before she hugged him... not knowing what it will do for him as he just fainted sitting down.

"Mellow, are you alright? Mellow!"

He snapped back after a minute but it was still hard for him to speak normally.

"A-anyways I a-am happy you like them..."

"They are just.... I am stunned by how pretty they are... that you drew me so well... you really are amazing."

He hid behind his notebook he needed to leave or else his heart will burst out his chest.

"U-um sorry but I gotta leave right now... the dorm leader needs me but... I will give you both sketches n-next time okay."

She hit him with a smile that almost made him faint again as she looked at him.

"I look forward to it, Mellow."

Calculating Nuregarasu’s Height

Remember Karasu-Tengu’s wife, the one that beats him up? Probably not, because she was only in one chapter and one OVA, but in that time she stood out to me as a pretty memorable and, let’s be honest, femdom-bait character.

The issue at hand today is that on the wiki, her height in the databook is listed as being 156 cm, or 5′1. Now, I want you look deep inside and ask yourself, does this woman give off 5′1 energy to you? No. Absolutely the hell not. So, I decided to look into the matter further and do some calculations of my own.

On one of the character sheets, we see both Karasu-Tengu and Nuregarasu standing side-by-side, which serves a perfect reference image for our comparison. Karasu-Tengu’s official height is 38 cm, and nothing contradicts this, so we’ll use it here. Measuring with a ruler (because I haven’t learned pixel scaling yet), Karasu’s height in this image is about 1.6 cm. This means the multiplier between the physical height of things in the image and the height they represent is roughly 23.75x.

Measuring Nuregarasu now, she comes out at around 9.1 cm in the image, or 216.125 cm for her actual height. This puts our beloved crow milf at a whopping 7′1, which is even higher than I expected but not necessarily contradicted by anything else in the series. So uh, yeah, the weak should fear the strong.
