How to repair a leaky faucet in Warrington
Tumblr media
Stop the water and remove the handle
Turn off the water. If the faucet is on the second floor of a multi-story house, you may have to wait a minute for the water to drain.
To remove the handle, you will probably need to unscrew a set screw with a hex wrench or small screwdriver.
If the house has old galvanized pipes, turning the water off and back on will likely expose debris in the pipes that will clog faucet aerators and showerheads throughout the house.
Find replacement disks
Remove the cylinder that contains the disks and take it to a hardware or home improvement store for replacement parts. The O-rings can be pried out of the cylinder with your fingers.
Remove rubber seals
On some models, you can remove the base plate to expose the rubber seals. Remove them with a small screwdriver, being careful not to damage the plastic housing. If the cylinder is cracked or scratched, replace it. Otherwise, buy a set with the rubber seals and O-rings.
Clean parts
Before replacing the rubber parts, carefully clean the seats with a toothbrush or non-metallic abrasive pad to remove debris and dirt.
Reassemble the cylinder
Reassemble the cylinder and seat it so that it faces the same direction as before.
Find the right parts
Finding the right parts can take more time than working on the faucet. To avoid multiple purchases, remove the worn parts - maybe even the entire faucet - and take them to the store.
Chances are, your faucet will look and function similarly to one of them. However, there are hundreds of faucet types, so you may have an unusual model with hard-to-find parts.

Is Your Bathtub Faucet Leaky? Here are Some DIY Tricks to Fix It
Tumblr media
Fixing a leaky faucet handle does not always have to be expensive. If you do it yourself and get quality faucet repair parts from Danco, you can avoid calling a plumber and prevent further problems.
DIY plumbing for a dripping and leaky faucet is relatively easy. The key is to do it as soon as possible so that the issue doesn’t grow bigger. Do-it-yourself plumbing repair is also more cost-effective than removing an old faucet and replacing it with a new one.
What causes leaks?
Worn seals, rubber washers, and gaskets in the valve assembly are the usual culprits for a leaky faucet handle. In this blog, we’ll give you DIY tricks for repairing a stem-type valve, which most two-handle faucets have. Along the way, we’ll also recommend plumbing repair parts you can get from Danco to make your life easier.
Tools of the trade
Prepare the following tools and materials for the task:
 · Adjustable wrench
· Handle puller
· Bath socket wrench
· Utility knife
· Seat wrench
· Stem valve faucet repair parts
· Plumber’s grease
Prepare the parts
Make sure you have all the necessary new parts for DIY plumbing. Check Danco to find a wide selection of items. We also have a part finder tool to eliminate the guesswork. You may also contact the customer service team for further assistance in finding a specific part you need.
If you notice extreme signs of corrosion or a worn-off finish, you may have to replace the whole faucet. Don’t worry because Danco has everything you need to complete the plumbing repair by yourself.
You can also search for stem repair kits at Danco for specific faucet brands, such as American Standard and Delta Delex. A kit includes the washer retainers, bibb rings, washers, bonnet packings, and bibb gaskets.
Steps to fixing your bathtub faucet
1. Disassembly the faucet by prying off the handle insert
Don’t forget to turn off the water supply to the faucet and open the valves to remove excess water. Using a small pocket knife, pry the handle insert off.
 2. Remove the handle screw
Wiggle the handle and pull it off. If that doesn’t work, use a hair dryer to heat and free it. Avoid using too much force when pulling, or it might break.
You may also use a special handle puller if it’s still difficult to remove. Turn the handle screw halfway back to the stem and position the post against the screw head. Press the arms behind the handle together and turn clockwise until the handle loosens. Remove the handle and its screw, then unscrew or pull off the escutcheon plate.
3. Remove the stem
The stem assembly manages the temperature and volume of water dispensed through the shower head or tub spout. Use a special bath socket wrench to remove it. Slide it onto the stem bonnet and turn it counterclockwise to loosen the stem. If it sticks, apply penetrating lubricant, and try again.
4. Use the seat wrench
Danco offers hot and cold seat removal tools for specific systems such as Symmons. These tools make it easier to remove old seats and replace them with new ones to avoid buying an entirely new faucet.
Replace the seat by pressing a seat wrench into its center, then turn it counterclockwise to get it loose enough for easy removal. Apply penetrating lubricant if it sticks. Cut the threads with pipe dope, then screw them into the fixture body using the wrench.
5. Prepare the plumbing replacement parts
Lubricate the faucet repair parts with the plumber’s grease. For a two-handed faucet, replace the seats and washers in the hot and cold valves. Follow these steps:
· Unscrew the packing nut
· Remove the old seat washer and washer screw.
· Grease the new Danco seat washers and threads and reinstall them.
· Remove the worn-out bonnet washer, grease the new one, and slide it into position.
· Apply the pipe joint compound to the bonnet threads.
· Reinstall the faucet
· Grease the handle splines, replace the escutcheon and attach the handle.
Danco makes DIY plumbing simpler and cost-effective for everyone.

Random HEADCANONS
MASTERLIST
Featuring: Aizawa • Words: 865
CW: Mentions of anxiety, overprotectiveness that comes off as possessiveness, stress and burnout, insecurities, physical discomfort (nausea and mild bleeding), jealousy, potentially toxic relationships, emotional neglect.
Tumblr media
Aizawa hates to drive, seriously. He'll likely just let you drive his car when you two go somewhere together (if you know how to drive and don't mind doing it yourself) since traffic makes him stressed. He gets anxious in traffic jams and might even get nauseous if stuck in one. He also tends to speed. If you don’t know how to drive, he’ll still drive for the two of you when needed, but you’ll have to bear with these manias of his and may want to find a way to make him less stressed while driving.
He often gets overprotective of you. He tries his best not to but his anxiety gets the best of him sometimes, and he may act on it and make you feel like he's being possessive. If you’re more of an independent and self-sufficient person, you might get annoyed by it sometimes too, as it may seem like he doesn’t trust you enough to take care of yourself. That happens when he doesn’t voice out his concerns properly (which he often doesn’t), but in reality, he's only worried and wants to keep you safe.
He’s a devoted partner but may hurt you unintentionally, especially if you’re not good at voicing your concerns out loud too. He benefits a lot from someone straightforward about feelings that helps make it more clear to him.
He likes to sleep with his head on your chest. It makes him feel secure and it's one of the very few things that puts his mind at ease.
Aizawa has a knack for fixing things around the house. Whether it's a leaky faucet or a malfunctioning appliance, he's the go-to person for household repairs, preferring to handle things himself rather than calling a professional. (Once, he fixed the coffee maker that had stopped heating, for which you had already accepted the fate of simply buying another one.)
Despite his gruff demeanor and rough, calloused hands, Aizawa has a surprisingly tender touch. He's adept at giving soothing massages or comforting hugs, which always makes you feel loved and cared for.
He’s not naive, but because of his fierce loyalty and sense of responsibility, he may get himself stuck in toxic relationships if paired with such people. It might take him a while to get out of it and recover, since he may give in to manipulations for feelings of guilt and responsibility. (Even when he’s just being coerced into believing so). Rationally, he notices when he’s being used or manipulated but struggles not to fall into the trap anyway. But when he’s done, he IS DONE for real. ~shit might get ugly.
Honestly? He likes to be called 'baby' or 'babe'. He gets all fuzzy inside. (It comes from a deeper need to be cared for that neither he knew he had, due to all the stress he undergoes). But he'll never admit that. “Darling” and “sweetheart” also work sometimes.
Likewise, he'll melt whenever you refer to him as "my man." If you're married, it'll also happen with "my husband."
Shota has a sensitive scalp. If you caress his hair in the right spot, he shivers and goosebumps erupt all over him. It is also a trick you can use to make him fall asleep pretty fast.
He's touch-starved. Really. Just give the man some hugs. (He'll shove anyone that's not that one person off, though).
Aizawa is a man who keeps his hygienic needs in check, but honestly, tidiness is the first thing he neglects when he’s overwhelmed with work. He’s not overly messy, but things will start to pile up if he’s working extra hours. Some not-so-obvious things may also end up going unnoticed by him. (He doesn't remember when it was the last time he washed his capture weapon).
Shota tends to bite or pick on his lips when he is nervous or stressed out, which can cause them to crack and bleed a bit. He gets self-conscious about it from time to time and usually doesn’t notice he’s doing it until it’s already bleeding and he feels the metallic taste in his mouth.
He is jealous of his favorite mug and might get pouty even if it’s you who is using it. He’ll try his very best not to let it show. (It is still clear anyway). Leave the poor man’s mug alone.
He is aware of his good looks but he still feels insecure about his worn out appearance. That's why he gets embarrassed easily if you compliment him about it. (Call him handsome or sexy and you'll have a tomato in front of you).
If he had to choose a flavor, he would say bitter, but he has a slight secret sweet tooth. (HE ATE THE LAST PIECE OF CHOCOLATE CAKE).
Aizawa is good at cooking but he prefers to eat the food you make (he always helps you clean up the dishes after dinner, though). However, if you're sick or feeling more tired than usual, he will refuse to let you do either of those things, and you better not defy him when he tells you to sit your butt on the couch and let him cook for the night.

Handyman!Anakin Skywalker drabble
CW: MDNI!! shameless porn with no plot, cheating, unprotected sex, p in v, etc…
A/N: Just wanted to try something out..as always feedback is appreciated:)
☆…━━━━━·:*☆…━━━━━·:*☆…━━━━━ ☆…━━
It really was meant to be innocent when you hired a handyman to repair your leaky kitchen faucet. But you weren’t expecting such beautiful man. That’s why instead you’re bent over your counter being split open from behind, his thick cock pistoning into your poor neglected hole.
“Your husband’s a stupid man..having this pussy all to himself..not doing a damn thing about it..” He grits out through thrusts, “she’s got such a tight grip, Jesus..” A calloused hand comes up to smack your right ass cheek.
Your face is pressed firmly against the cool marble, a steady stream of drool dribbling out of the corner of your mouth and pooling, pathetic moans fall from your lips. “..f-feels..so..good-d..”
He grins, reaching down and tangling his fingers into your hair, yanking your head up so your back is pressed firmly to his chest. “Tell me I fuck you better than him,” He growls into your ear, “tell me he can’t fuck you like I can.” The movement of his hips falter a little as his words cause your walls to squeeze tighter around his dick, eliciting a low, drawn out ‘fuck’ from him.
“So..so much better..” you babble, your face heating up at how cock drunk you are for a man you’ve known for maybe an hour.
“Good girl,” He purrs, proud of himself, before releasing your hair and pressing your face back down against the countertop. The hand that had been in your hair snakes around you so he can toy with your clit.
The rough pad of his middle finger circles around the bundle of nerves, pushing you closer and closer to orgasm. “C’mon baby…need you to cum on my cock.”
Your knuckles turn white from the strong grip on the edge of the counter, feeling yourself teetering right on the precipice of pure pleasure. With another snap of his hips and swipe of your clit, you’re sent spiraling. His movements slow as your tightened walls make it harder for him to move, hissing out in pleasure. Your moans are like music to his ears.
He pulls out, rapidly pumping his length that’s coated in your release a few times before his hot cum spurts out onto your bare back. Anakin falls forward, letting his head rest on your sweaty skin, admiring his paint job with a devilish grin. He presses a kiss to your back before straightening up and tucking himself away. Carelessly he grabs one of your kitchen rags and wipes your back clean.
You keep your face pressed against the cool tile as you catch your bearings. The sound of him gathering and packing his tools away, catching your attention. You straighten up and pull your soaked panties up, smoothing your clothes out, eyebrows pinched together. “Where are you going?” Your eyes flick over to the faucet that’s still leaking. “You didn’t fix it.”
He shrugs, a smirk on his face, “Guess that just means you’ll have to give me another call. There’s a couple other things I wouldn’t mind taking another look at either.” He shoots you a wink before picking his tool bag up and heading out your front door, leaving you with the feeling of finally knowing what satisfaction feels like.
