Idk how to ask for a head canon, assuming I give you a scenario and you tell me how they react?
Okey, I’ll defo drop in often.
Tell me. How will your faves react if Mc was a lawyer in her time. She quickly gets adapted to their Sengoku-period-law and even offers otherworldly/spectacular/awesome/surprising/remarkably intelligent insight but only when they ask for her opinion. In other cases, she sits quietly and enjoys the peaceful parts of her life 😚
But what kind of scenarios do u prefer, romantic stuff, platonic or intelligent?
Omg yay my first request!
As for how you've described MC, I'm guessing that she keeps to herself most of the time? And only talks when someone asks for her opinion (I'm just making sure qwq). So I'll be writing my favs and anyone else I can think of in this scenario if it's okay.
Also english is not my first language so qwq
Lawyer MC
• Oda Forces
→ Nobunaga Oda
• he was surprised. And quite entertained when you down right refused to obey him. Or be treated as an object.
• he was even more surprised when you managed to refute a very angry Hideyoshi. Who was ready to throw hands at you because you defied his lord
• ho ho. Your first day and you managed to tame my right hand man? How bold. What a fierce fireball
• after that he would bug you to have debates with him. As unusual as that sounds.
• when you get closer, and he gets to know about your occupation. He was very intrigued.
• you fight for people's rights you say? How very amusing
• you better be prepared because he will put your skills to good use
→ Mitsuhide Akechi
• he was walking in the market one day when he saw you defending him from some of the soldiers who spoke ill of him
• all of that aside. Later, he especially pointed out how remarkable your remarks were
• after that you bet this man will always ask you for your opinion on literally every single thing
• when he found out you were from the future and a lawyer at that he was even more curious
• oh? So your job is to defend people? How very interesting
• needless to say, he started admiring you even more after that and he would often like to have long chats with you about your work
→ Ieyasu Tokugawa
• we know how he is always sour and often gives hurtful remarks
• you both had your differences
• but what angered him the most was how he could never refute your arguments whenever you fought.
• he was impressed. How were you so good?
• he gets an answer to that when you get closer and tell him about your occupation in the future
• another one who's very interested in your work and admires you for it
→ Mitsunari Ishida
• another one who loves to talk with you and hear your insights on certain issues
• when you two got close and it was revealed that you were from the future AND a lawyer, he was very interested in your job
• be prepared because he has several questions for you
• Uesugi-Takeda forces
→ Kenshin Uesugi
• we all know. That he hqtes women
• so he generally avoided you at first. And you kept to yourself too
• when you both got in a relationship however, and you told him you were a lawyer
• he was intrigued. Very intrigued. He would talk to you for hours. What were the laws in the modern Japan?
• he would be quite upset when you tell him that you can't just carry a whole sword in public or threaten someone
→Kanetsugu Naoe
• he kept the talking at a minimum when you first arrived at Kasugayama
• let's say you both had a disagreement over something and that led to a fight. He was fuming but very impressed by how strong your arguments were.
• after that, he would often come to you for insights on topics
• when you get closer and tell him that you are a lawyer. He was of course as the rest of them very very interested. What's a lawyer?
• he is also another one who admires you a lot more now, that he know what your work is about
Thankyou for reading! If you saw some errors please let me know!

Nobunaga is my hero! Did you get the lawyer?
*Ieyasu could see that Hubert is flinching each time Mai speaks about Nobunaga. It would seem that Mai has gotten herself in a messy situation once again*
Ieyasu: and why is the actor you were filming with here?
He was also a menace to us, overly obsessed with mai.

Again.
Again., Chapter 1--a collaboration by myself and @a-shout-to-the-void AKA Vaya. You can find all other IkeSen works of mine here, hers here, or become a Patron of mine! NOTES: ALRIGHT time for a short ‘Yesha Gets Real’. This story is going to hurt. There is no way around it. A major character is going to die midway through, and it is going to hurt very, very much. We will not be making that any less than it is going to be. If you are very very attached to the characters, please take caution and take care of yourself. We wanted to give the heads up beforehand because we know that this is going to be immensely angsty in some regards. ALSO: Umeka belongs to @war--lords! Thank you so much!
AUDIO TRANSCRIPT:
Dispatcher: 911, what’s your emergency?
CALLER: I--hi, yeah, so--uh, I don’t know--I don’t really know--
Dispatcher: Ma’am, what seems to be the situation?
CALLER: [Five second pause] One of my neighbors is outside.There’s--it’s just a lot of blood, there’s a lot of it everywhere--
Dispatcher: On who?
CALLER: It’s her and her husband. Her husband is just lying there, she’s hanging all over him--
Dispatcher: What’s the address? CALLER: [ADDRESS REDACTED] --you might have to give a pass to the security before you can get in the neighborhood, I--
Dispatcher: That won’t be a problem, ma’am. Did you hear any shots? Is there a shooter?
CALLER: I--no. No, there were no shots. It--no screaming, either. That’s a lot of blood. It’s getting in my gutters…
Dispatcher: Is there any danger you’re aware of?
CALLER: Not that I know of. I--I think she killed him. No one else was there. I mean, there was a weird car earlier but you know, Jehovah’s witnesses come by sometimes, even though we called the cops on them once--
Dispatcher: Police are on their way, ma’am. Stay on the line with me.
CALLER: Okay. Should I go outside and see if he needs help?
Dispatcher: No. Stay inside.
[Several minutes of silence. Sirens become audible]
Dispatcher: Are you still there?
CALLER: Yeah. I’m just--I’m just watching. He’s not moving. Neither is she. I--okay. Alright. I see the police.
Dispatcher: Alright. I’m going to hang up now, ok? You should be fine.
CALLER: Right. Right. Thank you. Oh my god. It’s all over my lawn…
[Call disconnects]
---
The next man on the train stood entirely too close. Ieyasu winged out his elbows until he made his point very clear, scowling as the offender scurried further to the side. Good. Sparks sprayed past the window as they scraped hard along the tunnels, the wail echoing through their cab.
Soon--and not nearly soon enough--it was his stop. Ieyasu triple-checked all his pockets before stepping off onto the platform, pushing his way through the sluggish crowd. A beat hammered out on trash can lids echoed in the stairwell. Someone tried to push a mixtape on him. Halfway up the steps he realized he’d never even picked up his coffee from the counter and swore loudly to himself.
This wasn’t going to be his day, was it?
Fine. Ieyasu re-shouldered his bag and set his headphones to noise cancelling. At least it wasn’t too much further. Checking his watch for the thousandth time, Ieyasu reassured himself that he was on time as ever (he’d long ago started taking the earlier trains, god knew they were always late) and crossed over the busy street to the massive marble building he called an office. Outside someone was fielding a protest. Ignoring them, he shoved his way through the glass doorway and swiped a badge, nodding at security. Just another day in one of the highest courts in the land.
“You’re late,” Mitsuhide drawled as he shoved his way inside the office doors.
“No I’m not.” Ieyasu checked his watch anyway, realizing at the last second that this was exactly the reaction Mitsuhide wanted. Shooting the man a fierce scowl, he tugged off his trenchcoat and went to fling it on the coat rack, realizing at the last second that he’d worn one that looked just like the--far nicer--grey one already there.
Goddamnit. Mitsunari Ishida had bought himself a new coat, and not only was it nicer than his, it was designer. This really, really wasn’t going to be a good day. Thoroughly invested in ignoring that, Ieyasu frowned at the row of desks, each stacked high with reams of paper and notations and folders and thick reference books. “Where’s Nobunaga?”
“I imagine he’s in a meeting,” Mitsuhide sighed lazily, going over something with a highlighter. “Do I look like Umeka?”
“Did someone call me?” Their secretary peered out of the break room. Though he’d never admit it, Ieyasu liked her just fine. She was competent (the major sticking point) and slightly shorter than him, with straight black hair and dark eyes that just as easily transformed to flint as crinkled with a laugh.
“No, but at least you showed,” he scoffed. “Could you make me some coffee?”
She wrinkled her nose at him. “You usually make your own. Sugar? Milk? Dash of lemon for the lemon boy?”
Mitsuhide almost bellowed a laugh, fumbling the highlighter between fits of giggles. Ieyasu frowned even harder. “Black is fine.”
The door swung open behind him. In stalked Nobunaga Oda, tall and assured as ever. Ieyasu had been lucky, he knew, to start his career at the great behemoth that was Azuchi, handpicked from the masses by Nobunaga himself. Luckier still to move with him from private practice to the attorney general’s office. Nobunaga Oda cut through the mindless chatter that muddled the law, speaking clearly and plainly, if not harshly. For three years, Ieyasu had worked closely with the man and still a shiver traversed his spine when Nobunaga spoke. He set the bar impossibly high with everything he did; his youth, his charisma, his skill, his success. Ieyasu hated and admired him in equal measure.
“Mr. Oda,” Umeka greeted him immediately. “Good morning.”
He flashed her an approving glance but didn't directly address her. Instead he focused like a laser on Ieyasu. “Are you busy with the McDiehl case?”
“I was planning on getting to that--”
“Here.” Without warning, Nobunaga shuffled through his papers and thrust a folder into his arms. “You have another.”
Ieyasu nearly dropped the thick bundle, grasping it at the last second. “I--”
“I was just sent over a case that has the potential to be an actual challenge. The paperwork is already immense.” Nobunaga waved a stack of papers that looked like it could knock a man flat and grinned anyway. “Regardless, you can have that case.”
Mitsuhide folded his fingers together and rested his chin on the lattice. “Is that the Ailes case?”
The Ailes case? Ieyasu flipped it open. It certainly was. “Isn’t this just an open and shut first degree murder? Woman was caught in a cul-de-sac with her dead husband after she stabbed him?”
“Yes. I don’t have time for it.” How did he always manage to make everything sound so condescending? “Prove yourselves to me.”
Ieyasu took a beat. “‘Yourselves’?”
Oh no. Mitsuhide’s sudden wolf-grin was so telling that he wished he hadn’t asked. “Of course. Who do you think is doing research?”
No. No. As desperately as Ieyasu wished, it didn't stop Mitsunari Ishida from barging in the door with a bundle of unorganized papers under his arm, silvery hair askew and glasses hanging by a single limb from his purple sweater-vest, a bright smile on his lips.
“Ishida!” Nobunaga took the coffee from Umeka’s outstretched hand (coffee that was meant for Ieyasu) and sipped it. “You’re working with Tokugawa on the Ailes case.”
“What was that?” Hideyoshi Toyotomi followed him in, a lunch box in one hand and a smile on his mouth. “Did I hear that right?”
Nobunaga pointed at Hideyoshi. “Your clearance shouldn’t work anymore.”
“Security is taking their time,” Mitsuhide drawled as if he had nothing to do with it, getting up to greet his husband. “Thank you.”
“Just because I moved into HR doesn’t mean I can’t come by my old office sometimes. Here, love.” The two men exchanged a quick peck on the lips. “Did I hear Mitsunari is getting to work research and prep with Ieyasu?”
Mitsunari looked ready to vibrate out of his skin with delight. “I can’t wait to get started! This is such a fascinating case--you should see the notes on the lividity--”
Ieyasu wondered if he could swallow cyanide and get out of it that way. Knowing Mitsuhide, there was some in his desk. “Type them up and put them on my desk, then.”
“But there’s also fascinating testimony by--”
“Type it up,” he hissed. “No handwriting. No one can read your brainless chicken scratch.”
“Perfect.” Nobunaga straightened his tie as if all was well, nodding at the others. “I’ll be in my office.”

He has done several commercials as well including KFC JAPAN, NINTENDO, KIKKOMAN & HATACHI to name a few.
I came to know of Jun Matsumoto as Domyouji Tsukuba in the Hana Yori Dango Series and Movie Finale. He also took on the role a 4th time in a new generation version of the story called Hana Nochi Hare.
This guy has talent like crazy and very handsome. He doesn't seem to be stopping. Which his fans love I'm sure. And ARASHI is definitely fun to watch. They look like they're having so much fun. Plus the members of the group have also acted with him in movies and series.

Ikemen Sengoku Modern AU
I was just daydreaming some AU ideas and this one came to me with more detail than I expected. A modern day corporate ikemen sengoku that reads like a reverse harem. Sigh. I don’t know if I’ll do anything with it but I wanted to share ^_^
MC
MC is the daughter of a powerful CEO that runs a biomedical company called AllCare BioMed
While she isn’t a genius philanthropist like her father, or a connected socialite like her mother, she does everything in her power to move her father’s vision of a world without disease forward. She hosts student events at universities to scope out new talent, meets with hospitalized patients, and oversees the disbursement of charity and grant funds.
Nobunaga
Nobunaga is head of security. He has personally foiled several assassination attempts against you and your family. He is passionate about your father’s goals, and would sacrifice himself to make it happen.
A moment between MC and Nobunaga: “Get behind me princess. I’ll take care of this.” He pushes her behind him as the attacker lunges. Another knife attempt on university grounds during a recruitment event. The man is no match for Nobunaga though. He counters the attacker barehanded, slamming the knife out of his hand. “Don’t hurt him,” she shouts. “If I don’t hurt him, he won’t learn his lesson,” Nobunaga replies. He is calm no matter the threat. Sometimes he’s scary.
Mitsuhide
Mitsuhide is head of cybersecurity, though everyone believes he is secretly corporate espionage. Regardless of the rumors, Nobunaga and the CEO trust him completely. So does MC, even when she isn’t sure she should.
A moment between MC and Mitsuhide: He comes up behind her with silent steps while she’s focused on reviewing the recent charity requests. A series of complex spreadsheets are open on her desktop, and she’s muttering over them. Mitsuhide sets his hand over hers on top the mouse, and his lips brush her ear. “I think the function you’re looking for is here, little one.” He guides the pointer to the right menu and selects it. “You can let go of me now,” she says. “I could,” he laughs, enjoying the way she blushes when he teases her like this.
Hideyoshi
Hideyoshi is the CEO’s head secretary. It may not sound like an important job, but he oversees your father’s schedule, hires and fires all personal assistants, handles employee concerns, reviews contracts . . . there are very few things Hideyoshi doesn’t handle. And he does it without complaint. Like a mother hen, he protects your father’s family, especially you. Sometimes he and Nobunaga do not see eye to eye.
A moment between MC and Hideyoshi: He sits down across from her and takes her hands in his. “You look pale. Are you eating well? Sleeping ok?” She reassures him that she is. “I am just a little tired today. Too much on my schedule.” She smiles wanly at him. Hideyoshi isn’t satisfied with her answer. He leans across the narrow desk and presses his lips to her forehead to check her temperature. It’s an intimate touch, but one MC is used to from Hideyoshi. But sometimes, she feels like he’s less a big brother than a shy lover. This is one of those times. He tilts her chin up to look him in the eye, still so close she can feel his lips move when he speaks. “You’re too warm. Let me take you up to bed. To rest.”
Ieyasu
Ieyasu is the lead doctor on MC’s father’s research team. He was recruited right out of university at one of MC’s recruitment events. MC didn’t think he would join up, since he was so rude and dismissive at the event, but she’s glad he did. His brilliant insights are part of what pushes the company forward in its mission to cure all diseases.
A moment between MC and Ieyasu: “Don’t touch that, idiot.” He snaps at her when her hand lands on a pile of papers atop his desk. “You’ll get it out of order.” MC moves her hand too quickly, knocking the stack of papers on the floor. “Oh, I’m sorry!” He always makes her feel so clumsy and foolish. She kneels down to pick them up. Ieyasu is beside her in a heartbeat. “Just leave them be. I’ll get it.” MC starts to argue but he holds a finger to her lips. “It’s fine. They aren’t that important anyway.” He shoves the pile back onto his desk and looks at her again. “Why don’t we go get a coffee? You look like you need a break.”
Mitsunari
Mitsunari is the brilliant legal counsel for the company. He was hired by MC’s mother. Mitsunari is a stunner in the office and out of it, something he seems oblivious to.
A moment between MC and Mitsunari: “I brought you the contracts for this quarter’s grant recipients,” MC calls out as she enters his office. It’s always important to announce a visit, as Mitsunari gets so involved in his work he might not notice someone arriving. Mitsunari looks up from his office couch. It’s covered in huge legislative opinion and ruling guides. He knocks them on to the floor, flustered. “Oh! You came by!” He stands to greet MC. “I didn’t expect you.” MC smiles at him. “I sent you an email this morning. You replied ‘OK’ but if this is a bad time . . .” Mitsunari grabs her hand. “It’s never a bad time. I like it when you stop by. Here. Sit with me.” He tugs her toward the couch, but with all the books on the floor, she trips and ends up on his lap. “Oh, or this. This is better.” He smiles at her happily as she blushes ear to ear.
Masamune
Masamune is the finance manager. He’s ruthless with friends or enemies when it comes to inking a deal, closing a sale, signing off on a loan. The CEO would be lost without Masamune’s business acumen and his relentless energy. He’s also known for being the office snack guy - always bringing treats to people.
A moment between MC and Masamune: “Get over here, lass. I haven’t seen you in weeks!” Masamune spots MC across the lobby. Before she can start to move, he’s across the room. “Have you been avoiding me,” he demands. His one blue eye is intense and impossible to look away from. “N-no,” MC stammers. Masamune always leaves her feeling off balance and unsure. “Good! I was worried. Are you on your way to a meeting?” “N-no,” MC stammers again. Before she can add anything else, Masamune jumps in. “Great! I’m going to make you lunch. I’ve got a batch of fresh fish delivered this morning and I wanted to try some things out.” And before MC can agree or decline, he’s got her out the door and into a waiting car - as if his staff knew exactly what would happen the second he spotted her.
Ranmaru
Ranmaru is front desk staff. His cheerful, beautiful face greets every person coming in or out of the building. He knows every researcher, office assistant, secretary, lawyer, and security person on staff, and every guest they’ve ever cleared. Despite his cheery attitude, there is always a certain sadness when he’s not busy.
A moment between MC and Ranmaru: “Did you get your hair done,” Ranmaru asks, after greeting MC on an early morning. “I did! Mom sent me to the stylist she hired for Mitsunari, since Mitsu missed his appointment. Again.” Ranmaru laughs. “That sounds like him.” He stands up and comes around the desk. “Well, turn around so I can appreciate all of it!” He claps his hands as she spins around to model. “Gorgeous,” Ranmaru sighs. MC laughs. “I have to work at it. Not like you. I think you get out of bed looking like that -” She gestures to his perfect hair and clothes. Ranmaru blushes and leans against MC. “You always say the sweetest things.” He kisses her cheek lightly before slipping around the desk to his spot, as if the touch never happened.
Kenshin
Kenshin is a partner of the CareAll BioMed corporation, a competitor. He’s known for being ruthless in business and ice-cold in personal interactions. While his goals are similar to MC’s father, he believes AllCare is responsible for the closure of the lab researching a cure for his late wife’s disease. She died without any treatment, and he will never forgive MC’s father or his company for that.
A moment between MC and Kenshin: MC attends one of her mother’s fundraising events, hoping to put in a brief appearance before she can get back to the work she prefers. Kenshin catches her eye from across the crowded ballroom. How could he not? He is imposing and frigidly beautiful, and younger than she expected for a man of so many accomplishments. For reasons MC can’t understand, he approaches her. “You are his daughter,” Kenshin says by way of greeting. “I am. You must be Doctor Uesugi?” He regards her coldly. “Are you trying to be pleasant?” Flustered, MC nods. “It is a social gathering. Should I be rude instead?” Kenshin considers this idea and then shakes his head. “Your father is my enemy, not you.” For a moment, a breath, there is a flash of emotion in his mismatched eyes, the briefest twitch of his lips in a smile, and then he is ice cold again.
Shingen
Shingen is the other half of CareAll - the competitor looking to put your father’s company out of business. Where Kenshin is the strong arm of his company, Shingen is the face. He meets and greets investors and recruits, and handles the day to day affairs of the company. Rumors say he was one of the first patients in the company’s breakthrough heart treatment.
A moment between MC and Shingen: “You are easily the most beautiful woman here. Did you know that?” The words accompany a light touch on MC’s hand. Shingen. The devil, as MC knows him. “Flatterer,” she replies dryly, wishing her heart wouldn’t betray her by galloping off like this when he greets her. “I only speak the truth to angels.” Shingen smiles and the warmth is enough to set MC to blushing. She pulls her hand away from him. “Whatever. Are you here to steal my recruits again?” “All is fair in love and war, fair lady.” MC gives him side eye. “And which is this?” Shingen laughs and does not reply.
Yukimura
Yukimura is the lead researcher for CareAll and works directly with Shingen to direct the company’s research efforts. His gruff manner and blunt commentary are legendary, but the people that work with him claim he’s actually a great boss.
A moment between MC and Yukimura: “You can’t corrupt me,” Yuki says when he spots MC coming toward him at a conference. MC blinks, surprised by his outburst. “I was just going to say hello. Even if you work for the competition, there’s no reason to be rude. We’re all working toward the same goal, right?” For a moment Yukimura says nothing, but his wide eyes and the faint color in his cheeks speak volumes. In a more subdued tone he agrees. “You’re right. Sorry about that. Anyway, you want to get a coffee together? To make up for - for what I said.”
Sasuke
Sasuke Sarutobi is the genius doctor behind most of CareAll’s advancements. It was his pioneering work that cured Shingen’s heart trouble, and his efforts that continue to open up new discoveries to the world of medicine. There are some nasty rumors that he’s secretly a corporate spy, stealing top secret data from military and government installations - but there’s no proof. Besides, how can one man have enough time to study medicine so intensely and still ninja his way into secret labs and data stores?
A moment between MC and Sasuke: Doctor Sarutobi blinks as he sees MC walking through the hospital ward. She’s carrying several bags with care packages for patients, a smile on her face. He takes off his glasses and wipes at his eyes, trying to clear them. “Hello Doctor,” MC says. He turns to greet her. “It’s so good to see you here again. You can call me Sasuke, please.” MC laughs. “Alright, Sasuke. But you’re talking to an IV trolley.” Sasuke blushes and shoves his glasses back onto his nose. There’s still a strange brightness in the hall, but it doesn’t seem to be connected to his lenses. “Sorry about that. I can’t see anything without my glasses on.” MC smiles. “It’s alright.” She turns to continue on her rounds. “Wait,” Sasuke calls out. “Oh, did you need something?” Sasuke realizes he does. “I’d like to come with you, if that’s alright. The patients open up more to you than to just another doctor.” MC nods. “I’d like that. And - Sasuke - you’re not just another doctor. I think you’re amazing. And I am sure the patients do too.”
Kennyo
Kennyo is a bitter former hospital director. His hospital was closed down due to budget cuts and a lack of private investment. He blames MC’s father and the Uesugi-Takeda alliance equally. He wants to take them both down so that something better can rise in their place, and works to sabotage them any way he can. Rumors suggest he is behind the assassination attempts on MC’s family.
A moment between MC and Kennyo: “Aren’t you afraid, little girl? Out here alone, in the dark?” Kennyo asks. MC is standing near the parking garage elevators at a downtown hospital. The walls are covered in graffiti, and the floor is littered with garbage, broken needles, and other signs of poverty and drug use. MC meets his intense gaze. “I’m not afraid of anything. The people here need our help as much as the people in the nicer districts. More even.” She takes a step toward him. “Should I be afraid?” Kennyo is surprised into silence. He expected MC to be a sheltered little rich girl, but perhaps there’s more to her. He curls his lips in a cruel smile. “Few would look at your presence here as a kindness. In a place like this, you’re just another victim.” MC studies his expression. “Maybe I am. We are all victims of one thing or another. It’s what we choose to do with that pain that matters.” Before Kennyo can reply, MC’s car arrives. Nobunaga gives the old hospital director a hard look before driving MC away.
Yoshimoto
Yoshimoto is a socialite, the orphaned son of one of the most wealthy families in the country. His businesses are overseen by a board of ambitious and greedy directors looking to enrich themselves, but he is more interested in philanthropy. MC’s mother is always trying to throw them together in the hopes her daughter will net such a wealthy and respected husband.
A moment between MC and Yoshimoto: “So . . . this is nice. We can see the whole city from this balcony,” MC says awkwardly. Yoshimoto reclines against the balcony rail, his fine features perfectly profiled by the glow of city lights. He is silent. “I - I didn’t mean to interrupt you. My mother . . . she wanted me to say hello. Since it’s been awhile.” MC edges back toward the door. Yoshimoto turns his head to look at her, a sad smile playing at the edges of his lips. “You are never an interruption.” “Oh! I’m glad.” Yoshimoto turns back to the view. “Come and stand beside me. You can see better from here.” MC does as he asks, gasping as she sees the whole of it. “It’s like the stars in the sky meet the city lights at the horizon and go on forever!” Yoshimoto sets his hand over hers on the balcony rail. “Just so. I knew you could appreciate it.”
Motonari Mouri
Motonari is the head of a private security team known for black ops and corporate sabotage. His work is barely legal, and it’s surprising he has actual headquarters in the city like a real business. Some say that Motonari is insane, a brute without any morals.
A moment between MC and Motonari: Rough hands snatch MC from the university walkway. She starts to call out for security, knowing Nobunaga won’t be far away, but her cries are silenced by the slam of a car door as she’s placed in the back seat of a large, black sedan. “Glad you could join me, girl. Drink?” Motonari holds out an unopened beer. MC glares at him, fear and anger warring in her features. “Is this a kidnapping? What do you want from me?” Motonari laughs. “It could be. I could just keep you and see what happens. I bet that father of yours would do anything for his baby girl.” MC crosses her arms. “I’d rather die than be leverage.” “That can be arranged, girl.” He closes the distance with her, pressing against her side. “Maybe I want something off the books instead.” MC shoves him back. “Don’t touch me!” Motonari’s grin looks wild in the dim light of the sedan’s interior. “One day, girl, you’ll beg me to touch you.” He calls up to the driver. “We can let the girl out here. I’m done with her. For today.”

Appeal
Fandom: Ikemen Sengoku
Character: Masamune Date
A/N: Something different! Not a reader-insert this time, but an introduction to a Cyberpunk world that I built once upon a time, long, long ago. Inspired by @/Yennang’s art.
I enjoyed doing this, so maybe I will write some more short stories involving this setting with other characters, or maybe Masamune again, for this one is far from done.
Tumblr media
The hum of the motor announced his arrival before he reached the destination. Basking under the sharp light of the neon sign the grave expressions could barely be made out as the driver came to a halt. With a confident smile splattered across he pulled off his helmet, a hand running through wild brown hair.
“Looking rather blue, or is it the light?” Masamune jested, a single eye gliding over the group. He didn’t bother stepping off his vehicle, leaning over his dashboard as he propped up his chin on top of his hand.
“Late, as usual, this will cost you,” another brunette spoke, his tones softer in hue, but his expression graver. It was Hideyoshi and as per usual there was much that displeased him. “We’ve been waiting for an hour,” the male growls to which the other only shrugs his shoulders at.
“I came, didn’t I?” Masamune responds casually, earning a sound from Hideyoshi as he shrugs again, “I expected to be later, got held up for a race at the Central Passage.”
A wild smirk crosses Masamune’s expression as he informs the group, his eye twinkling in delight. It was a good race, from the way the glee beamed off the man it could have been nothing else.
“Besides, what points will be affected? We don’t get rated on punctuality.”
To this Hideyoshi could only sigh, a hand going over his face, revealing four digits at the back of it. A dim light shined through his skin, revealing: 9897.
“What’s that Hideyoshi, did you get into another fight?” Masamune laughs, his chin jutting up in amusement. The other merely rolls his eyes as he huffs, about to say something before he is interrupted.
“Did you win?” a man dressed in black speaks up, his red eyes contrasting starkly against the shadows in which he bathed. Stepping to the side Hideyoshi allowed for the light to fall upon his lord, revealing Nobunaga. “If you didn’t, I demand you return and beat them proper,” he smirks, more interested in the race than the actual meeting and Masamune returns the mirth.
“Nothing beats my buddy here,” the male boasts, a hand tapping the dashboard lightly, causing its lights to flicker awake, sensitive as its design was to the touch of its master, “I send them back to the Scrap.”
It was a satisfactory answer as Nobunaga rose up from his own seat as he stepped further into the center. A tension went through those present, some intimidated, others like Masamune excited.
“We will need your ability to race, the Red Flash has been signalled in our districts.”
The command was clear, the background even more so, and Masamune beamed another smile, a tongue flicking out as he licked his lips, purring satisfactorily.
“He finally dares to reappear, huh?” Revving up his engine the motor roars once more, the distinct growl glowing a dark blue as it floats up, “and what about the Green Light?” he questions, his smile growing wider as Nobunaga only nods, equally as amused.
“Good, I was starting to feel bored,” Masamune smiles and speeds off into the Dome, leaving the group behind.
“I wish he would make the same haste to your summons,” Hideyoshi grumbles, eyes squinting at the characteristic blue light mixing in with the rest. To this the right-hand man only receives a scoff, Nobunaga turning away as he waves the rest off in a dismissive move.
“You forgot to tell him, but there will be new meat arriving,” the leader speaks, carnelian eyes squinting in confidence, his smile sharper than the neon lights hanging above him. “Be sure that the Tiger doesn’t get them.”
To this Hideyoshi can only heave a sigh, knowing the job ahead of him.
The silvery hue that the water had taken on signalled the end of the day, but none of that influenced the flow of time when Masamune entered the Dome. Rows of lights, some being signs, others part of the buildings foundation, or of the basic city plan; angry red, stark blue, poison green, everything came to the mix. Harsh to the eyes, too bright to normally stand, but it was the luminous reality in which they found themselves in. The city Atlantis made no distinction between the hours, and thus there was no rest to be found at the bottom of the sea.
“Masamune,” a voice sounded through the earpiece of his helmet. In the dashboard a fluffy pile of yellow came into view, equally as displeased and unamused as Hideyoshi had been before.
“Masamune,” Ieyasu’s voice sounded again, sharper, as if warning the man, which he probably was.
He was forced to come to a halt in front of a sudden rising blockade, the brakes of his motor screeching loudly as he turned sideways to prevent the vehicle from toppling over.
“You know it is dangerous to suddenly brake at my speed,” Masamune responded, though his voice was far from annoyed.
“Like you ever go slower,” came the snippy response, “besides, knowing you I would have to worry about any sudden altitude adjustments,” Ieyasu continued to complain, a sigh escaping him as the display showed him to roll his eyes.
“Of course I was prepared for that as well,” came the lame admission and Masamune laughed at that, amused at the antics of his friend.
“What was it you needed to stop me for so urgently?” he immediately cut to the chase. Steering the motor off the road Masamune headed for the emergency lane, the front facing towards the glass border that marked the end of the Dome, his eyes heading to the surface of the water, through which the sky above was obstructed, though he knew tonight to be a full moon.
“Hideyoshi wanted to make sure you knew of the new arrival tonight,” the blond spoke, the fuzzy image on the dashboard slightly disturbed from the jammers usually installed at the border.
Observing how the fish sought their resting place in the coral and how the shellfish burrowed themselves in the sand, Masamune let go of a hum in agreement, “I just have to grab hold of our target, right?” he responded half-heartedly.
“It is not a target, but whatever, yes.” Ieyasu’s clipped response was accompanied with another heavy sigh as the dashboard blinked a few times. Immediately after Masamune’s helmet switched on, replacing the seafloor view with that of files.
“How boring,” the male couldn’t help but respond, but straightened up nonetheless, eyeing the information that had been sent over.
“Don’t care, this is the only way to make you read them. Anyway, I’m logging off, Hideyoshi is asking that person to appeal for him.”
Laughing at the clear disgruntlement of the younger male Masamune forced his helmet off, a warning signal immediately lightening up from his dashboard.
“Oh, live a little,” was his only response as he turned the motor over, ignoring the alarm that went off and the buzz at the base of his wrist, warning him of the offense made.
Offense registered: Wilful endangerment of traffic; removal of protective gear - Disciplinary action taken.
Scoffing at the warning on his display Masamune sped up, watching more warnings pop up, an impish smile on his lips as he leaned forward.
“Kojuro!”
Immediately after the summoning a voice sounded through with a sound ‘yes’ from the same speaker as Ieyasu had spoken from earlier. The angry lights on his dashboard disappeared, leaving him alone with the roar of his engine and the buzz of the city.
“Thanks, prepare that appeal for me as well and keep it a secret from Hideyoshi,” Masamune instructed, his smile growing more wicked as he churned up the speed, enjoying the way the air blew through his hair. How he missed the wind blowing through his very being, the fickleness of the weather above. However, there was nothing that could beat speeding through the dome.
“I will do my best, sir,” came Kojuro’s answer, but Masamune knew to trust his underling despite the uncertain words. Kojuro was, after all, the best at what he did and for that Masamune appreciated the man all the more.
Skidding to a halt Masamune put his helmet back on again, switching on the function that would hide his eyes before eyeing the water lift doing its job, the water pushing itself out of the double secured entrance before the last door opened. Leaning over Masamune waited for the signal, eyes trained upon the security guards that stepped into Atlantis first.

i think in a modern verse... nobu would gift hideyoshi his business after Mitsuhide’s Worker Union completely unravels him and he thinks its for the best he relinquishes his power to someone he thinks deserves it
but then hideyoshi lets the fame and wealth get to him. and he gets a pet monkey. and he becomes a dick. and ends up in legal trouble and many years down the line, the whole business ends up falling into ieyasu’s hands.
meanwhile, nobunaga is drinking pina coladas somewhere, ignoring hideyoshi’s frantic calls for him to come back and fix the fallout of his untimely retirement.
he’d done his part.
and in the end, ieyasu will turn it into a successful-yet-boring sort of company that nobunaga can come and visit and make suggestions. he’ll also save hideyoshi’s ass, but now hiddy is back to a somewhat-regular job.
hey... thats a good idea
lmao sekigahara court hearing where mitsunari is hideyoshi’s lawyer (but they lose the case because they had a relationship prior which made mitsunari biased.... and kobayakawa gave the judge a vital piece of evidence)

hc: how do you think the main ikesen boys would react to mc’s time? like they’re all with her when the wormhole and get thrown back to her time?
Sorry for the long wait! I hope this is what you were asking for >__
Intro: No matter what it seemed inevitable that the wormhole was going to keep chasing mc and Sasuke to take them to the present day. Since both of these time travelers were near and dear to the Oda and Uesgi-Takeda warlords, they came to see them off. With tearful goodbyes, the wormhole would finally be at rest and stop causing destruction once it takes what it wants. Mc opened her eyes to find herself in the present day. However, she realized that there were eight too many people with her. The warlords, all confused, realized that they were sucked into the present day. Mc and Sasuke, after explaining that the warlords were 500 years in the future, devised an emergency meeting. They decided to all stay at Sasuke’s apartment and learn how to habituate to the future. So, how do the warlords fare?
Nobunaga: Intrigued and curious about everything. Is fascinated by automobiles. A lot of “this is very proficient. Let’s bring this back with us.” Likes to go on day trips with mc and the others to learn more about the area. Loves museums and will research everything. Adapts SUPER quickly.“Maybe I can conquer all of Japan AGAIN.” If he had to stay in the modern day for a long time, would most likely use his charisma and knowledge of currency and politics to either be a politician or CEO.
Hideyoshi: “So this is the country that Nobunaga will have founded.” Was a little freaked out and scared of the cars and busses whizzing by. “Be careful, Nobunaga and mc, these things could seriously kill someone.” (Boi, mc has been here longer than you. She knows how to use a crossroad. Thanks for caring though, bby). Loves going to modern cafes and trying all the teas and drinks. Wants to learn all the safety codes and rules of society to keep all of the warlords safe and get along. If he had to stay in the modern day long, he’d either be a police officer to protect others and upholding the law or be a hardworking manager that has to deal with everybody’s bullshit, drinks coffee like a madman, and kicks the copier when its spazzing out. “Back in my day we just rewrote everything.”
Ieyasu: Can use common sense for the most part to get by and stay safe, but will act like a grumpy old man dealing with change. Mc has fun with her payback from Ieyasu calling her naïve and foolish when she tried adapting to the Sengoku era, telling him now he knows what it feels like being sucked into another era. When y’all went to the drug store, he was intrigued with all of the medication and pain relief remedies. Will collect several medical textbooks and buy out all of Walgreen’s pharmacy department in hopes of being better at healing others when they return. He went to the zoo and was fascinated with all of the unique animals found worldwide. Won’t admit it but loved petting the goats and alpacas at the petting zoo (reminded him of Wasabi, who he secretly missed). Will sneak food to feed street cats and due to his medical knowledge he’d either be a veterinarian or a pharmacist if he had to be in the modern era for a long time. Likes some things about the present but is a little overwhelmed how loud and fast everything goes and sort of wishes to go back to the home that is the Sengoku.
Masamune: Put this man on a LEASH. He is running around everywhere, looking at everything. “I highly support the fashion choices of this era. Tank tops, mini skirts, and short shorts? HELL YA.” Mc is his guide to all of the foods in the area. Food trucks, dessert shops, restaurants will all be conquered by Masamune. Taking him to a grocery store for the first time was an absolute nightmare for Sasuke’s credit card. Loves how food is more readily available for people now than in the Sengoku era. Gets so much food. Also has two duffle bags stuffed with ramen packages for when he returns to the Sengoku era so his men can have a ready made meal. Went to an amusement park and LOVES roller coasters like the adrenaline junkie he is. He’s overall fascinated with all the fun experiences and exciting new things in the modern era. Would thrive as a chef at a restaurant who puts on a show with fire and knives while making the best food in town.
Mitsunari: Put this boi on a leash too. He’d be wandering around and getting lost in thought about how everything works. He’d be too busy thinking about how the mechanics of a car works that he would almost be hit BY a car. Is fascinated and wants to learn how everything works like Nobunaga. Both would love the museums. Mc gave him a laptop and boi is in LOVE with it. He spends several hours focusing on the laptop and researches everything. It’s like a mini library in his lap. Mc took him to the library and he now spends several hours looking through every book. Accidentally got hired as a librarian (the most beautiful librarian in Japan). Has to have a buddy to go out with or else he will get lost in thought and end up getting lost in general. Still love him though.
Mitsuhide: “Adapt. Improvise. Overcome.” Doesn’t take long for him to learn how to beat the system. Likes to tag along with mc and the others to go to different places just for the experience. Is glad that he doesn’t have to play spy for anybody anymore since all the warlords are in the same boat and he has more freedom to roam about (and cause trouble). Will use the excuse “well I didn’t know any better. I’m from the Sengoku.” for everything even though he’s already learned all the rules and customs just so he can get on Hideyoshi’s and mc’s nerves. Uses his cunningness and intelligence to be the best lawyer. Could also be a hella good detective. Had the best time in the magic trick and prank stores. They amuse him and finds it fun to freak out the other warlords in their apartment.
Kenshin: Almost Yeeted out of existence when he found out that swords are frowned upon to carry around in this time period. However he was brought back to stability when Sasuke and mc took him to a bar for the first time. Mc had to convince the police to not arrest Kenshin a few times when he threatened to kill some people and slashed a car tire for almost hitting him. (Kenshin violence is very frowned upon here.)Has a tough time adapting and getting along in modern society but he eventually finds a way. “Accidentally” becomes a gang leader in one night. Mc took him to a pet store and the entire pen of bunnies flocked to him. Guess who has a giant rabbit pen on the roof of the apartment? Kenshin.
Shingen: Also loves the new style. Man never thought he’d see the day that women would walk down the street with legs and arms showing. Also had to have mc bail him out from the police because of his flirting being misunderstood as him being a creep. Loves the bakery and sweets shops in the area. Yukimura is not happy having to do patdown checks to make sure Shingen isn’t sneaking sweets into the apartment. Loves the new carpentry methods and tools. Mc took him to Home Depot and he LOVED it. Would either be a sexy Home Depot worker and independent carpenter or be a hot bartender that is very popular with the female patrons.
Yukimura: Is confused by everything. Almost passed out when he realized they were 500 years in the future. “What the HELL is that thing” would be what he’d say while pointing with a scared look on his face. Mc and Sasuke thought it’d be a great idea to teach Yukimura about sports so he can have fun, release his pent up energy he would usually use for practice or battle training, and have a more positive outlook of the present day. Basketball and soccer being one of his favorites. Joins a local sports group and becomes team captain due to his previous war tactics being useful on the battlefield AND the court/soccer field and his leadership skills. Loves to go to athletic stores. Eventually becomes a coach, which he is both bashful and proud of. Could see him becoming a fireman since he’d want to save people and leap into action to save others like he did in the past as a Sengoku warlord.

Oh, I wish I can explain, but I'm going to the police station to give my statement and file a complaint. I am going to file a lawsuit too. I need to claim all the damages. So, please prepare a lawyer for me. Ah, I need to hang up now, sorry Ieyasu!
*she hangs up. Poor Ieyasu thinks Mai is suing Nobunaga*
Ieyasu: what… did she do?
*All kinds of scenarios were running through his mind*

Admissions
Again., Chapter 6–a collaboration by myself and @a-shout-to-the-void AKA Vaya. You can find all other IkeSen works of mine here, and Vaya’s  here. NOTES: HERE WE GO AGAIN.
He hated to admit it, but Mitsunari was right. Something about this case didn't add up. They lingered in the office, pouring over the smallest details of the dossiers.
“So.” Mitsunari cleared his throat, those purple eyes wide and serious. “They still haven’t found the daughter.”
Ieyasu just grunted. No point in acknowledging it. In the timeframe of the murder, it would have been impossible to hide a child. They both knew it.
“I got some interesting records.” He flopped another file onto the table. “The child--sorry, Renée Ailes--she’s been having problems with her mother for a while.”
“Yeah?”
“Apparently. Police interviews with the girl’s friends indicate that they’d get into fights and she would come stay at their houses regularly. It’s unclear over what just yet. And then, the week before the disappearance, she made a bunch of withdrawals from her savings account.”
“Savings account?” Ieyasu echoed, huffing a laugh. “What, did she have $20 in it?”
Mitsunari blinked. “The withdrawals total somewhere around two thousand.”
“What!? How does a high schooler have that much money? I didn't even have a bank account!”
“No?” Mitsunari looked utterly confused. “I think I had--”
“Right, your family is rich. So is theirs.” Ieyasu scowled and flapped the folder shut. “Anything else?”
“Report says there’s a boyfriend. Of the daughter, I mean, not the mother. He’s twenty-two. Jacqueline Ailes claims to have no knowledge of him.”
They both paused. Ieyasu inhaled slowly. “He’s been interviewed, right?”
“Yeah. He claims to have no information. He says he hasn’t had any contact with her since the night she disappeared. And,” Mitsunari continued, brow furrowed. “No warrant was issued for his home. That’s all the information we have about him.”
Nothing about this was adding up. Ieyasu rearranged the pieces over and over again, struggling to find where they all fit. God. Maybe someone else could make sense of this, but he was just a lawyer, not a detective. The longer they looked at the evidence, the murkier it became.
“There’s something wrong here,” Mitsunari murmured. “I don’t like it.”
“I hate it when you’re right,” Ieyasu grumbled.
The other man shot him a silvery, sweet smile. Ieyasu’s heart almost beat out of his chest. How could the man make everything look handsome? “I’d try to be wrong more often, but I don’t think you’d like that, either.”
“You’re right. I wouldn’t.”
“Well then.” Mitsunari beamed; all of Ieyasu’s blood tangled and quickened at the sight. What had gotten into him? “Shall we make do with what we have in the meantime?”
“Guess we have to.”
---
For once, the pair found themselves sitting in the gallery of a courtroom the next morning. Around them, clusters of people volleyed whispers as the prosecutor settled back into his seat. Ieyasu couldn’t see his face, but the way the man tilted his chair onto its back legs and rocked felt too confident, too assured, and it irked Ieyasu. Probably some hotshot fresh into the office. Typical.
At least Williams would be offering the closing defense. That was sure to be tolerable, if nothing else. She rose from her seat with the kind of flame in her eyes that Ieyasu had never seen--a zeal that radiated off her and to the balconies like a Valkyrie.
“Oh,” Mitsunari murmured, his eyes wide. “Oh.”
“Over and over again throughout this trial, we’ve heard the prosecution present pieces of evidence that they believe condemns my client. Their language was clever, I must admit. ‘If we believe,’ ‘anyone might think,’ ‘under these circumstances.’ The prosecution has spun pretty words to distract the jury from the reality of their evidence: it’s circumstantial. There is not a single piece of evidence that definitively puts my client within a mile of the murder at the moment it happened. There is not a single piece of evidence demonstrating a clear motive.
“No, instead what we have here is what we see all too often in a courtroom: a prosecutor brought a flimsy case against a man from a disadvantaged community, assured in their belief that the jury they’d so carefully selected would be led astray by cheap theories and empty words. But that was their mistake. There is only one truly just outcome today, and it is the freedom of my client. An innocent man’s life is in the hands of the law. Use it well.”
The jury returned a verdict in less than ten minutes. “Not guilty” were the last words the head juror spoke before the entire courtroom erupted in thunderous applause.
Somehow in all the commotion, she saw them. Smiling from ear to ear, she pressed through the crowd, letting her client remain with another staffer. “Hey!”
“Hello!” Mitsunari nearly glowed. “Excellent work. You really did a phenomenal job.”
“Thank you.” She let her twists down from the tight bun, peering at Ieyasu with a teasing grin. “Find any fault with me, senpai?”
“Senpai?” Ieyasu repeated, staggering over his thoughts. “No. You--that was just fine. You did alright.”
“Ooh, high praise. Well, thank you.” And she shot him a wink. “Either way, I wanted to say thanks to you both for getting me home the other day. It really saved me. I was a bit tanked.”
“To say the least.”
Mitsunari shook his head. “It was nothing. We were happy to make sure you got back safely. Nothing happened?”
“No. Someone came on the L train to preach, but, y’know. L train.” Williams cast an eye back at the swelling crowd and offered them both a conspiratorial smile, sending shivers through Ieyasu’s body that he couldn’t entirely attribute to respect. “I have to go. Someone needs to do this press conference. I’ll see you both soon--outside of court, hopefully?”
“Hopefully.” Mitsunari shook her hand.
“Yeah,” Ieyasu muttered, and she fixed him with such a dazzling, gleaming smirk that he almost recanted all his sourness. “Probably. Probably soon.”
“Oh? I’ll hold you to that, Tokugawa. Cheers!”
She sauntered back into the crowd. Ieyasu ripped his eyes from her legs and cleared his throat. “Come on. Let’s go.”
---
They did meet again. Mitsunari hadn’t expected it to be so soon afterward. Fortunately for him, he and Ieyasu were both on a run to the local coffee shop when they saw her in the packed, cramped line. She looked resplendent in the sea of black coats, her bright yellow one sunny and warm in the New York bustle.
“Here!” She called, motioning to them. “I saved us a place!”
Ieyasu shot Mitsunari a questioning glance.
“I didn't know you’d set up a coffee visit with Williams,” Mitsunari guessed, as confused as his partner.
“I didn't,” Ieyasu answered, but pressed forward anyway, jostling his way between grouchy pedestrians. Never one to turn down a good social event, Mitsunari followed, apologizing to every pushed passerby with a smile. That seemed to smooth them over. Finally they got to her corner, and she welcomed them with open arms.
“I didn't know we were meeting!”
Williams just winked at Mitsunari. He marveled at the way she made warmth spread clear to his toes. She had that same strange, unquestionable power that Ieyasu had. No doubt everyone felt this way around her. “I didn't think you guys came here.”
“Better than Starbucks,” Ieyasu grumbled. “Though usually they aren’t this damn crowded. What gives? Did everywhere else run out of beans?”
“Dunno--oop!” Someone next to her elbowed her. She jostled forward into the two of them, who caught her at the same time. “Sorry, sorry--”
“It’s fine--”
“Don’t worry! It’s nothing--”
Amidst the scent of roasting coffee and mocha, the sweet, lingering smell of honeysuckle swirled around them. Both he and Ieyasu paused. Was that her? Mitsunari parsed through the options and immediately realized it was--the perfume was woven into every twist of her long hair.
“Are you wearing that perfume?” Ieyasu asked, as if reading Mitsunari’s mind. “Honeysuckle?”
“Yeah.” She pet her hair sheepishly. “I’m fond of it. When I was a kid growing up in the south, the summers smelled like honeysuckle, so I got attached to it. We had some in the backyard with the morning glories.”
“I recall that!” Mitsunari jumped in. “When we summered in the Cape, there was some growing out back. It’s a wonderful, mystical kind of smell.”
Ieyasu and Williams both shot him looks--one flat, the other teasing.
“Summered in the Cape?” Ieyasu stared. “Could that be a bougier sentence?”
Williams barely restrained her giggles. “Extremely bougie. ‘Summered’. He said ‘summered’.”
“Yes, it could be bougier,” Mitsunari added, playing dumb. “I could say something like: ‘We stopped over at the Cape on our private jet between horse races, where we would go and attend to our stables’.”
“That didn't happen, did it?”
“No. We don’t have that many horses.”
Williams burst into unfettered laughter and hid her face in Ieyasu’s shoulder, who looked like he might write his resignation letter within the hour. Mitsunari just smiled cheerily back until he shook his head.
“The perfume is really strong. You’re getting it all over my coat.”
“Oh?” Williams teasingly brushed off his shoulder. “Sorry about that. I’m assuming you don’t have memories of summering in the Cape to that smell.”
“No.” Ieyasu paused, then lowered his head, admitting, “My grandmother… had some. I think. I don’t know. I didn't care enough to remember that, obviously.”
Mitsunari had long grown used to Ieyasu’s way of worming out of things. He didn't miss the subtle way that Ieyasu tucked his coat in closer around him, burying his nose into the collar for a moment more than necessary in the warm confines of the coffee shop. Williams didn't pretend not to notice--she just grinned at him until he turned away, his ears unusually dark in the dim light.
“I don’t suppose I’ll get to run into you both here every day?”
“Well.”
“We come in around eleven thirty,” Mitsunari calculated. “Because typically when we enter the office at eight, Umeka prepares coffee, and by the time it wears off it’s around eleven fifteen. By then she’s usually occupied with Hideyoshi, and Ieyasu doesn’t like the way anyone else prepares it--”
“--everyone else burns it,” Ieyasu muttered, almost too subtle to be heard.
“--so we typically come in for a dip here anywhere from eleven twenty-three to eleven thirty-six.” He paused. “If you were so inclined to join us.”
If looks could kill, Ieyasu might’ve committed a crime with the one he sent Mitsunari. For her part, Williams smiled. “Well, I don’t know my schedule like that, but I’m thinking I could arrange something.”
“I’d like that.” Mitsunari paused, noticing Ieyasu still hadn’t moved that horrifying stare, and added, “We would like that.”
“Perfect.” Williams laced her arm through the crook of Ieyasu’s elbow. “It’s a date.”

If the Ikesen guys were locals:
I keep trying to format this nicely and it will not cooperate with me because Montana is a cryptid place that does not wish to be discussed, but anyway. I live near Yellowstone nat’l park and this is how almost every Ikesen guy would be if they were Montana Guys instead. I would love to start a local AU challenge or what have you.
Nobunaga: Owns at least 100,000 acres of ranchland and several vacation homes, can be seen driving a supercar down a backroad in summer, not like the other super rich in that he does not treat service workers like garbage, but is SUCH a dick to his wealthy neighbors, shovels money at environmental charities and political campaigns despite being a citizen of like, Brunei or something.
Hideyoshi: The ranch foreman of said ranch, keeps everything running while Nobunaga is in New York or LA or wherever people with money go in winter. Used to be a rodeo cowboy, tan and sweet as honey horses and women love him, well liked until there’s a property line issue with the neighbors and then god help you and your out of state lawyers.
Ieyasu: Local doctor, annoyed by tourists in summer, annoyed by snow in winter, annoyed by locals year round, will fucking punch anyone who asks why he lives in Montana, has absolutely nursed multiple fawns, has that Brad Pitt in a River Runs Through It thing going on with his ability to make fly fishing look both elegant and sexy, but will hit you in the face with a trout.
Mitsunari: The Local ™️ reliable worker yet has worked everywhere, knows and is loved by all, tourists and vacation home owners underestimate him until they realize that only he can solve The Moose Issue. He is constantly late because he stopped to help someone with something, and has no idea why most of these people are women. Volunteers at the shelter because pet adoptions skyrocket on days he’s there.
Masamune: Fishing and hunting guide, town bicycle, puts you on the rug in rugged, breaks 12 hearts per summer but they aren’t even mad because the sex was great and breakfast was even better, has in fact jumped off a cliff into a lake and does ride a horse that fast. Insta full of breathtaking postcard backcountry pictures but the followers are there for the shirtless snaps and the one with the baby mountain lion.
Mitsuhide: Does anyone know where he came from? No. Does anyone know what he does for a living? Also no. Real estate? It’s probably real estate. Can be found at the bar, knows everything about everyone at all times, has gotten at least one city councilman recalled and destroyed the life of a sherriff’s deputy, will stop and help you when you hit a deer but will make you feel like a fool about it, nobody has slept with him yet everyone knows someone who knows someone who has.
Shingen: The Aging Celebrity, possibly a novelist, natural enemy of Nobunaga, used to come here in the 90s before it got so big, definitely drank with Steve McQueen at some point, parties with some of the vacation home people, but annoys them with his Hollywood hippy opinions, heartthrob in a 30 year old Land Rover who probably winters in Palm Springs. Is the only person Kenshin will tolerate unannounced visits from besides Sasuke.
Yukimura: The hot park ranger, Shingen’s nephew, into the forest service because he sure as shit wasn’t going to become a lawyer or something, all summer is just yelling JESUS WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO PET THAT DO NOT PET THAT, NO STAY ON THE DESIGNATED WALKWAYS THAT IS A LITERAL BOILING SPRING COMING FROM THE EARTH, oblivious to his own hotness, makes that fucking ranger hat look good, has in fact cuddled a baby wolf.
Sasuke: The Forestry Science Guy, trying to get funding for a study on mycchorizal relationships between lodgepole pines from Kenshin, can survive in the wilderness forever despite looking like he belongs in Palo Alto, somehow collects vital wildlife data in between the other 743 things he’s constantly doing, alerts Yukimura to the ridiculous shit that tourists are doing at all times, has a massive crush on his research partner and would punch a bear for her.
Kenshin: The Third Kind of Wealthy, probably a european heir, has land but only keeps several impractical horses, stays during the winter sometimes, is notoriously difficult to deal with but also wildly generous in unpredictable ways, either huge parties with no fewer than 15 cases of very expensive wine and a pony keg or get the fuck off his property there is no in between, considers Nobunaga appallingly nouveau riche and probably lost his girlfriend in a tragic skiing accident that he is still not over but broods at the mountains about it in a beautiful way. Yard full of bunnies.
Kennyo: Unitarian universalist minister, was a member of Earth First! at some point and absolutely sabotaged logging equipment, got that scar from some asshole cop at when he chained himself to a pipeline that was under construction, drives a beat up Subaru with ‘last best place’ and 'do no harm but take no shit’ stickers on it, in a bitter feud with Nobunaga over soil conservation, will give you the shirt off his back but considers himself a sell out, fostering wounded animals 24/7
Yoshimoto: Gallery owner, sponsors the local theater troupe and supports the ballet and opera because this backwater will have culture, dammit. Bitter enemy of Ieyasu after once calling him a philistine at one of Kenshin’s parties, has had sex on a giant canvas covered in acrylic paint at least once, tried to host a poetry open mic until Hideyoshi showed up with cowboy poetry about sweaty horses and he had to drink no fewer than three gin rickeys to recover his composure. Rumored but not confirmed to rival Masamune for title of legendary town hoe.

The Odd Pair 2
Warnings:
Shingen arrived to his home and greeted his family. His mother was happy with her son's success but she preferred a more humble lifestyle. Shingen always was pending that she never lack anything on their household. He always enjoyed the weekend visits because of her and Tomas. His father died of a heart attack while he and Yukimura were young leaving his mother to sustain the family. Growing up in town Shingen loved the peaceful, atmosphere and how laid back you could be. His room was always clean with the same posters he used to have on high school. Yeah those were the days were he was the start of the football team but also a ladies man. Girl's were always attracted to him. Shingen smiled at the prospect of always having an entourage of girls around him. Only one girl was always shy and never part of the pack. Selene.
Always looking like a boy she was always either studying or working on a car at the workshop at school. Her father was always scolding her telling her to be more feminine, yet she never paid attention. Shingen took a look at the little bookshelf finding what he was looking for. The school book in which there was a picture of Selene. Voted as one of the boys. She never used a skirt for that time. Giving a head shake Shingen pulled some jeans and a red polo shirt.
“Mom, I'm going to see the boys, I will be back later.”
“Be safe and try not to get into trouble, OK?” grinning like a mischievous boy Shingen went out to met the others at the bar.
Selene arrived at the house and gave a sigh to calm her agitated heart. She could still feel Shingen arms holding her. Clearing her mind she went on to clean the house in order to get everything in order. Since she had been working non stop for 2 years, her boss gave her a  license to put her affairs in order. At least working hard paid off was Selene's train of thought. Changing her attire for a more comfortable one, Selene took a look at the full body mirror on her room. Her hair was now on a low pony tail, with minimal make up, some lip gloss, the black shirt with the skinny jeans hugging her legs and black converse were the perfect outfit. Since nights were becoming a bit more chilly she got a light grey duster and decided to buy some groceries and go to eat. The cellphone ringing took her out of her mental planning.
“Hello?, Selene speaking.”
“Ah, Selene is Mr. Leonard Kruger your father's lawyer. How are you?” the old man's voice was rich and deep. Selene used to think he was a voice actor. But in fact Mr. Kruger was a friend of the family.
“Uncle Krug, its been such a long time. How is everything?” Kruger was also one of her many adoptive uncles Selene used to have.
“ I wish this will be a better time to call but, I'm afraid not. I'm sorry for your loss kid. Tomas might not be there always but believe me when I tell you he always loved you and worried about you.” his voice was solemn.
Fighting the tears Selene cleared her voice.” Thank you Uncle Krug. We managed to patch things up in the end.”
“Good, that's great to hear so in that case you will be for the lecture of the testament tomorrow at 9 am in my office.” with this Kruger hung up without giving Selene opportunity ask what he was talking about.
Shingen managed to get to the bar without incidents and located the guys at the end of the saloon. Aside Masamune everyone was having a beer and playing poker.
“Well, well, well the prodigal son has return home uh?” Nobunaga was the first one to spot Shingen arriving to the table.
Taking turns to shake hands with everyone Shingen responded ironically.
“Considering that you are the self proclaimed chosen one Nobunaga, I guess we both are back? How is the family?”
“Good, how is your mother?”
“She is good, mom as always being mom .” said Shingen smiling while taking a seat next to Kenshin.
“Selene was so beautiful today. It's a shame that it wasn't a better occasion. Now she is alone.” said Mitsurani.
“The lass had grown up quite well. I was glad to see her. I might invite her to meet Marlene.” said Masamune.
“If I remember you used to have a crush on her right?” it was Ieyasu's turn to speak.
“I did but on high school I understood that it was only that and we spoke about it. She was OK with it. Besides she used to have a crush with our Mr. Football star here.” Masamune pointed on Shingen's direction.
“I thought it was something temporary.” Shingen given a non emotional answer. He tried to not make it more than it was. He was still bothered by the way Selene acted with him at the cemetery.
“Selene is a great woman, perhaps not a beauty like the one you are now use to date now Shingen but I know the man who marries her will be happy.” Hideyoshi looked at Shingen with intensity.
Holding his arms up Shingen said. “OK wait a minute. We are talking about things that happened twenty years ago. Why am I being  getting my head bit off after all this time?”
“Because no sooner than she left you did the same. That prank was really low even for me and you know how mean I can be.” this time it was Kenshin who made the comment.
“Look, I tried to apologize she was already gone. Now, can we just take a break on this. If it makes you feel better I will apologize with her OK?”
Everyone agreed to Shingen's suggestion and let the topic die. The time passed while they talked about their own lives. When it was Shingen's turn his phone started ringing.
“Takeda here.”
“Ah, Shingen is so good to hear you. How are you? It's me Leonard Kruger, Tomas Crawford lawyer.”
“I'm good Mr. Kruger, how can I help you?” Shingen went to a less crowded section of the saloon to speak more in private.
“Tomas, made me in charge of reading his testament and he name you on it. I need to be on the office tomorrow at 9 am.”
“I didn't expect that from Tomas. OK I will be there.”
“Good.” with this Kruger hung up. Shingen returned to the table and took a lot sip at his beer.
The conversation continued until midnight when Shingen decided to bail out and going back home. While driving he passed Selene's home noticing the lights on. He considered stopping by but then decided against it since it was too late. She might be tired and need time to collect herself. With this he returned home and decided to get some sleep before his meeting with Kruger
The next morning, Selene woke up feeling a bit tired. She made some coffee and a cheese toast before getting for her meeting with Mr Kruger Looking at the day many memories came to her mind. Most of them were her running behind Shingen and playing with the boys. At some point she learned to dance but she kept it hidden. Only Masamune knew about it. She made him promised not to tell anyone about it since she feared being mocked. Dancing was her stress breaker. She could dance for two hours and help her clear her mind. It was also a good exercise for her in case she didn't got a gym near. Taking a small boom box she went to the room her father used as storage. The last time he told her that he cleared the place and now was empty. He was expecting her to come back one day to visit and she could use it. Her father was a complicated person in Selene's eyes. Taking the boom box she started the song. The notes and clap made Selene forget everything. Moving at the rhythm she start her routine, making turns and claps Selene loosen herself to the music until the end. At the end she was almost out of breath but feeling better and energized. Looking at the time she run to get a quick shower, dress up and wear a subtle make up. For this time she decided to wear, black trouser pants with a purple shirt and black blazer. This time she opted to only wear mascara, liner and lipstick. For shoes she put on her normally low heel shoes. She had a lot of things to do having a comfortable shoes will help her a lot. Looking at her outfit she let her hair loose with a headband to prevent her hair to fall on her face. This time she decided to use her cats eye glasses. Taking her purse, Selene went to the town.
Upon arriving she found she wasn't the only one waiting for Uncle Krug. Shingen Takeda was talking with the secretary who apparently had never seen a man in her life. Shingen was polite with her but Selene somehow saw some tension on Shingen's part. Shingen was wearing a terracotta jacket with white shirt and black trousers with black converse. He was looking dashing and really handsome. Perhaps, he might not like to flirt all the time. Clearing her throat she let her presence known to them. Shingen straighten up when he saw Selene. Today she was wearing a pair of cat eye glasses with a slim frame that will make her green eyes more alluring than unusual.  Since when she became so beautiful? Shingen was impressed with her change. Selene was civil but tried not to speak more than necessary.
“Good morning, Mr. Takeda.”
“Good morning princess.” Shingen gave her his best smile. Selene nods in response.
Shingen felt ignored and didn't like the feeling. He was going to tell Selene something when Leonard Kruger emerged from his office.
“Oh, Good morning, so good to see you both. And on time, come on, let's talk in my office.”
Selene frown at the implications of Shingen being present on the testament. That meant that her father added him on the testament. A small shiver run around her back. She started to have a bad feeling on the pit of her stomach.
“Well as you know, Tomas, decided to leave a testament. I asked  Nobunaga Oda and Masamune Date to be present on this day as witness.” after saying this Nobunaga and Masamune arrived.
“Good now that everyone is here let's start with the lecture.” opening up the document. Mr. Kruger started the reading.
“I, Tomas Crawford Edwards, here by leave my will and testament in order to let down my final wish after my dead. All my possessions will be divided as follows. The car repair shop and the Shelby will go for Shingen Takeda who I used to love like the son I never had.”
Shingen noticed that Selene tensed next to him. She was blinking rapidly. He felt bad when he saw her face getting sad.
“Next my home, my land which consist on half of the town will belong to my daughter Selene Constance Sakura Crawford  Mirakawa. I know Selene is a strong and independent woman, but I prefer if she would had married with a nice dependable, honest, man. So in order for her to receive her inheritance. She needs to comply with certain conditions. First she needs to live for one year in our home on this town in order to gain the rights to own the terrain. Second, she must marry Shingen Takeda and sleep on the same bed for that same period of time. They will need to learn to live together and can't abandon the house during this time, unless is to go to work related business. They must be together all the time. If by the end of the year you are still together you can inherit the properties mentioned before. Also Shingen you cannot be unfaithful to Selene or she will loose the inheritance. If Shingen or Selene do not full fill any of these conditions everything will be sold and the money donated to charity. Shingen and Selene will have 24 hours to think about this. If they fail to comply with any of these demands the testament won't be validated and you will loose your all including the car repair shop.”

Mafia AU Part 4
I knew this event was slightly different from the usual ones. Shingen had taken me shopping, yet again, but this time was for a tea dress style. He was nervous about this one for some reason, but even as I played the doting fiancée in public, he would never stay in a room for longer than necessary with me in private. It was the slightest changes in the way he stood, and how his eyes flicked away from the dress choosing at the slightest of noises. I had long given up on asking if we were entertaining new clients or old, he would never tell me anything and introduce me to them as we arrived, and I would continuously be winging my responses. It was almost as though the man was testing me despite all of the experience he had seen of me. The only thing I had genuinely learned in my time at the mansion after several weeks was that it was Shingen's ability as a lawyer that had started the business partnership between him and Kenshin. Though the two were also long-standing acquaintances, who now just had a reason to be 'friends'. Kenshin rarely appreciated Shingen's approach of trying to take them out from behind before they had the chance to realise, since the man was always living for a full-on gun fight, or a sword fight was even better. I knew that my brother was an accomplished sword fighter for the sheer reason that Kenshin was something of a loose cannon to predict. The car journey to the venue was silent. I had learned that Shingen would never share any details, and would always have some earbuds for the longer travelling times stored in his car, much to the man's surprise. At least with listening to music, I could enjoy the view and try to ignore my situation. I was always trying to hide the fact I wasn't used to the way that rich people behaved. I was attending a much higher quality of party in a lot shorter space of time than I had ever been exposed to. I knew that Shingen was surprised to see me usually wearing the clothes that had already been a part of my wardrobe instead of the additions he had inserted. He always thought a woman would go for the more expensive and luxury items, and was still offering to take me out furniture shopping to replace the likes of my bed because they simply weren't brand new as far as I could fathom. The only time I had found myself spending Shingen's money because I could was on the embarrassing subject of my underwear. I was able to get the most comfortable bras without worrying about how to pay for them. Though Takeda took his chances to go through the bags and enjoy himself that way while I had to wait for him to finish being a child about it all. It had been the most fun I had had in a while though because Yukimura had been the one who had taken me since his boss was busy at work. And the man had gotten so flustered that I was beginning to think he had never seen a bra before.  Then when Sasuke informed me that he had a younger sister called Muramatsu who he had already gone through this stuff with, did take me completely by surprise. We pulled into a car park. The ocean was glistening before us, and a yacht that was causing my eyes to widen at the sheer size was sat in the harbour.
"Eyes in. You're meant to be getting used to this scale of money, though at least with the vague story of us meeting through work gives the excuse though," he sounded vaguely disgusted with the fact that I was so 'common'. "This is a client that I picked off Oda's firm years ago. I've enjoyed a solid relationship, so let's not upset things now, princess." I winced at the nickname. It sounded so distant when he spat it out like that, but it came out so naturally when in a conversation around others. My left arm was hooked on his right arm, allowing my engagement ring to shine brightly in the sunlight and catch the view of anyone who passed. It was all smiles as I was introduced to the slimy man. If Shingen hadn't then forcefully reminded him that I was his fiancée, then I knew he would have been crawling after me all afternoon. The yacht was beautiful, and I had to start admitting to myself that money could buy some things after all. The champagne was another item that I had acquired a taste for, which did humour Takeda since I was otherwise a spirit girl who would slam back the shots as well as any frat partying boy at a university. The air was crackling at the party, something was going on underneath the facade. And I had a strong suspicion that it was, unfortunately, circling around me. The way the host's eyes were lingering on me. His arm decoration was too familiar to me. I couldn't just let my guard drop completely as I turned to find that Shingen had disappeared. I was gasping for air, an arm now looped around my neck as I was being pulled backwards towards the plank. There had been every intention of leaving for the open waters, but the captain had mysteriously gotten himself lost and the owner wasn't shouting and screaming about it. Shingen bolted out from the masses. All the attention was on me now, and a gun was thrown over my shoulder to point at my fiancé. "You let us leave, and no one gets hurt," my eyes were going to pop out of my skull as I tried to wriggle a chance to look up at the familiar face of Masamune Date. Every step backwards was calculated. Watching to make sure that no one reacted in a way that he didn't want until I was suddenly flung over the man's shoulder and dashed to the car, where my brother was already pulling away the second I was in the vehicle. Masamune was yelling directions and then glancing between his phone and the road as the speed limit suddenly didn't exist for Hideyoshi. My brother appeared possessed, and that was the most shocking part for me. He had spent all of my teenage years after the death of our parents being my 'parent' despite that he was only several years my senior. Everything he was doing in this moment while escaping any kind of follower was breaking every rule I had heard while learning to drive. "Avoiding the police that Takeda pays is a good idea Mitsuhide!" Masamune was yelling into his phone as the course was constantly changing it seemed. I was clinging to the door handle after buckling myself in at some point, it was just a blur of scenery, avoiding oncoming traffic and being spotted it seemed. Pulling back into 'safe' territory made me nervous for some reason. I hadn't left on good terms, and Nobunaga wasn't renown for his kindness. "Natsuki?" Hideyoshi was frowning after opening the car door and finally getting a solid look at me. I didn't realise I was trembling until he had his hands on my shoulders. I couldn't stop the tears, sobbing into my hands as the reality of my situation hit me like a rockslide. I was wrapped up in my brother's arms, crying into his shoulder as Masamune was stood to the side with a dumbstruck expression on his face. It took nearly ten minutes for me to stop crying, and then my mascara had run halfway down my face, and I looked a complete mess. The boys escorted me straight to my room so I could clean up my face before being 'presented' back to Nobunaga. Nothing in my room had been moved, and my phone and tablet were neatly presented on my bed, and everything was as it had been left. It had been cleaned was the only thing that changed over the past six months. I was told to report to the living room once I was sorted. Being in a fancy dress and high heels wasn't comfortable, and my brother insisted in his usual motherly manner that I was to shower and change before coming downstairs. I was being placed above his precious Nobunaga for once it seemed. Oda was nonchalant about my return. He looked me up and down once I was present in the living room. "What was Takeda doing on that yacht?" He was swilling some whiskey and ice in a tumbler in his hand. "A client had invited us, it was basically a party to show off his money from all of the listening I was able to do," I shrugged. "Did you know he stole the client from my father?" A heavy pause in the conversation before I nodded in confirmation. "He mentioned it before we boarded the yacht, but it was more of a comment that I needed to look pretty and keep my mouth shut than of any other intent," I explained. "Why did you leave? We could have helped you after that party," the real questions were coming out now. I offered a wry smile in response and looked away from the man. I took a deep breath to try and steady myself as I stared into the fire crackling away under the TV. "You never told me any details of the jobs we were doing. I was always there as a scout to read the room for you so you could get clients using blackmail. That was the agreement," I said, reminding Nobunaga of the initial conversation we'd had when he had wanted me to start 'working' for him and staying at the manor as part of his team. "You always agreed to my brother and me that I would never be brought anywhere there was a chance of things getting ugly. The contract was broken that night, and I decided that if I stayed, then it would only get worse, and I would start needing Ieyasu's services far more often than I would be playing his nurse. And unfortunately, I am not my brother, I can't handle that pressure of a situation. I knew you wouldn't just let me go, I know too much. I had to disappear. That was the whole point of what I was doing, and would still be doing if I had been more careful and gone for a company that wasn't under Shingen's control," I added on at the end bitterly with a tilt of my head back to face Oda. His face was unreadable, but my brother's was distraught. "You withdrew every penny you could, and used cash to get around until you could falsify things to get a bank account and job?" Hideyoshi asked quietly. I gave him an apologetic smile. "I had every intention of living honestly like you would want me to
if I wasn't now on everyone's radar. I had an office job, and I'd just been promoted, and it was nice. I didn't have to look over my shoulder, and office politics are a cinch compared to the ones I have to navigate at those parties you use me at." A dry laugh from Nobunaga seemed to have cleared me of suspicions before Hideyoshi decided that I wasn't allowed out of his sight for the time being, and we ended up with a pizza and movie night in his room. Hideyoshi sighed as he looked over his bed. Natsuki was crashed out and wrapped up in his duvet as he then smiled warily. He'd been going out of his mind trying to track her down, just wanting to know she was safe. She'd been far too smart about disappearing, she'd emptied her bank account just around the corner and then snapped the card in front of a CCTV camera before disappearing. It was hard to even track what she was wearing or where she'd gone after that stunt, then the whole show when Takeda had sent them a photo of her in work attire out the front of his mansion after several months of failed searches. It was a combination of relief that she was okay and fury that she was in his grip. The news about Takeda's new fiancée and all the press coverage showing Natsuki was just to agitate them into action, which led to blackmailing one of his former clients, who was now holed up with Mitsunari in his spare room. They had been able to get the information out about Shingen being invited to a party on the yacht with a former client of Nobuhide's, and that it was highly likely Natsuki was going to be with him. He stroked her hair and made sure that was safely tucked up in his duvet, before going to the wardrobe and getting out a spare one that he always kept in for these occasions. It was strange, I was having a problem with my alarm clock. I had now even gotten Mitsuhide involved, who was tormenting me thoroughly for not being able to fix it so it would wake me at the time I wanted instead of waking me up at the time it decided I should. It was insisting that I still act like I needed to be on the phone for eight in the morning, except for Sundays. Mitsuhide lost a little colour as a strange piece of equipment was plucked from within the deepest parts of the wiring. "Stay here," he barked, no sign of his usual teasing before rushing off with the item. Mitsuhide looked pale when he came into the living room and made a gesture for Nobunaga to follow him urgently. I frowned and dashed after them both. Nobunaga came with the man, and they were discussing all the possibilities. Everything else was working perfectly fine on the electronics side, but that never meant that there weren't more of 'them' in inconspicuous places. "What are you both so worried about?" I finally snapped as Nobunaga took to rummaging through my drawers without asking. "These are recording bugs dear, you've been spied on," Mitsuhide patronisingly drawled at me, glancing over his shoulder as he started to disassemble my laptop. "So clearly we need to find out the extent of how deep they go and also who planted them." We were all gathered in the living room. A small collection of bugs on the coffee table and they weren't giving us many answers while Mitsuhide was on his laptop and already doing a lot of things that flew over my head. Hideyoshi was pacing like a trapped cat in a cage behind the sofa that Nobunaga was occupying, while I was only 'allowed' on the one furthest from the door and I had Masamune sat practically on top of me. He would have been enjoying it if it wasn't for the circumstances. And the whole room jumped six feet into the air when the doorbell went and broke the intense silence that had settled over us. Mitsunari and Nobunaga had a silent conversation, which ended up with the lawyer going to answer the unexpected visitor. "Takeda," the whole room dropped another ten degrees in temperature, and my brother couldn't be stopped. He marched off with a determination I hadn't seen in a long time, though Masamune wasn't letting me move from my spot on the sofa. "Aw, don't look so upset, I just came to get my fiancée back, you know since I have got a manhunt going off for her and she just happened to be here?" He was taunting them and enjoying things far too much. "I was disappointed to find out that all she does is snore in her sleep and Hideyoshi comes in several times a night to just check she's still there," his laugh was hollow as I started to tremble at the sound of his victory boast. "And what if we say she doesn't want to come back and your engagement is all a farce?" My brother was on form it seemed. No one else was making any effort to do anything beyond listening just yet, though the grip on my thigh tightened a little as Shingen had been talking. "Oh, I don't think that is really an option," Takeda was on form. "You see, I have the police force looking for her, and after all that spiel I left the media with. All those cosy photos and that ring that you threw out of the window as the car took off? Plus there was the whole kidnapping thing from the yacht which I have quite a few witnesses for, and I'm certain they'd be able to match you and Date to the culprits. I also have Natsuki's fingerprints. It would be a shame if she was a repeat low-level criminal that they were looking for, or maybe she stole some flawless diamonds?" He was in his element. The theatrics and performance as he strung his case together. "That seems like we still don't get a lot out of it," Nobunaga had decided he had had enough and was in the entrance hall. I could feel the testosterone from where I was sat, and I was tightening the hold on the ends of my skirt. I kept my eyes focused on the floor in front of my feet, I didn't want to think about anything possible that I could be the direct result of. "I get my fiancée back now, the police hunt is called off, and they don't get a tip-off that she's here. They'd probably arrest all of you for being co-conspirators and housing her," Shingen was confident of his intentions and outcome. I closed my eyes as the tears were now threatening. "Or we could point out that she has actually been missing for months, and that her brother was terrified that she had been kidnapped by you since there was no contact between them," Mitsunari was working on a counter argument faster than I ever could. "She disappeared to get away from you all," Shingen's tone was all business now before I stood up abruptly, much to the shock of Masamune before going through to the entrance hall. "And here she is." "I come with you now, you call off the police hunt, and you don't let any of them get into trouble for any part of this," I stated, trying to hide how terrified I was. I felt like a kitten staring down a lion as the tall man chuckled deeply. My legs were threatening to give out from underneath me before the lawyer nodded and offered his hand in agreement. "Just a misunderstanding between family members then," Takeda said, looking over my shoulder and staring down my brother. Kenshin and Yukimura were both wearing similarly sour expressions as I exited the car at Shingen's manor. I flashed them a sharp look to show that it hadn't been in my plans either. Takeda was making a huge fuss of me, mostly because the press were camped outside the manor as I was ushered inside swiftly by staff. The illusion being I was tired, but Shingen had already said that my outfit was terrible and the media would rip 'us' apart for it. The staff were there on purpose to flank me and avoid any incriminating evidence. I was made to wait for Shingen once he had finished with the media storm and showdown. He loved the whole thing of flaunting himself in front of an audience. I was beginning to think that he should have been an actor instead of a lawyer. He showed me straight back to my room, and I was more than a little shocked that it hadn't changed at all. "Get some rest, the press aren't going to let this drop, and they're going to be scrambling to get an interview with us soon," Shingen stated. "I had Sasuke stock the fridge up with your usual stuff," he added, trying to look as though he wasn't concerned about anything before shutting the door behind his exit. I felt cold inside. I was being used a pawn between the two sides. I rubbed my arms before deciding to shower, the whole event had given me enough of a sweat to want to wash it off.
