Heavy Construction Equipment Dump Truck Body How To Choose It
Tumblr media
A dump truck with a dump bed connected and a vertical hydraulic lift at the bulkhead is a standard dump truck. These trucks feature a front axle and additional axles in the back. In general, mobility is good, although soft ground should be avoided. Transfer dump trucks are regular vehicles with separate trailers that transport a container of sand, gravel, or other materials. This combination boosts hauling capacity without compromising maneuverability. Multiple containers can be added; however, states may ban this due to weight restrictions. It’s crucial to check state restrictions before adding cargo containers to a job. Side dump trucks have a two-axle semi-trailer with a three-axle tractor and can dump to either side utilizing hydraulic rams. These trucks can transport large cargoes and discharge them rapidly. Although this type does not easily tip over, it can if dumping is halted before the emptying is completed. The ability to maneuver is limited. It’s critical to get the correct dump truck body for your business. From lawn care services to construction sites, dump truck bodies are used in a range of industries. They can help your company in a number of ways, including moving more goods and excavating. It’s critical to select the right dump body for your purposes, whether you’re using a dump truck for snow removal, construction, or gardening. Customers can choose between two types of dump bodies from DuraMag Truck Bodies: HD and Eco. Consider the durability, carrying capacity, and weight constraints of each dump truck body when choosing your next DuraMag dump body.

How a Dallas Hedge Fund Manager Got Caught Up in a World of Fraud
How Barrett Wissman went from running a lawn-care company to orchestrating a $100 million scheme that has him standing in the cross hairs of the SEC.
Tumblr media
On March 19, 2009, the New York Office of the Attorney General and the Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C., dropped two bombshells on the secretive world of high finance. For two years, the agencies had run a coordinated investigation into how New York’s comptroller picked investments for the state’s $150 billion pension fund. On that Thursday, the New York AG released a 123-count indictment of two men who worked for disgraced former comptroller Alan Hevesi. The charges included securities fraud, bribery, and money laundering. The SEC complaint mirrored the AG’s charges, saying that Hank Morris, the top political strategist and chief fundraiser for Hevesi, and David Loglisci, the top investment officer of the pension fund, orchestrated a scheme that netted the men and other Hevesi associates tens of millions of dollars in kickbacks from firms that invested the pension fund’s money.
News of the charges rocked Wall Street. But as the shock waves rippled across the country, they especially rattled an office on the 40th floor of Thanksgiving Tower in downtown Dallas. That’s where a central figure in the scheme worked—though the court filings, curiously, didn’t mention him by name. The AG’s indictment called him “John Doe 1.” The SEC went with its own cryptic nomenclature, referring to him as “Individual A.”
Who was he? And why wasn’t he identified? Officials weren’t talking, so the second question was anyone’s guess. Perhaps the mystery man had struck a deal with prosecutors. In exchange for his cooperation, maybe they had agreed not to name him. But the first question was easy to answer. There were enough clues in the filings to figure it out, which made the man’s “anonymity” even more puzzling.
The SEC complaint, for instance, mentioned that Individual A had invested at least $100,000 to market and distribute a comedy called Chooch that was produced by David Loglisci and his brothers. The low-budget movie is a story unto itself, but suffice to say it features Mexican prostitutes, a 9-pound dachshund named Kiwi Limone, and a slapstick donkey-riding scene. The SEC also said Individual A was a Loglisci family friend.
A few pages after the Chooch details—as if to say, “If you still haven’t figured it out, then here’s the giveaway”—the SEC complaint revealed that Individual A was associated with HFV Management, a hedge fund firm. The SEC alleged that Individual A paid a total of $600,000 in kickbacks to land $100 million worth of investments from the New York state pension fund. (Such investments would generate substantial fees for the firm that managed them.) Even better, the SEC alleged that once Individual A saw how the scheme worked, he wanted in on it. For a cut of the action, he funneled kickbacks from other investment managers to Loglisci and Morris.
There was only one man who was both a friend of Loglisci’s and also associated with HFV—aka Hunt Financial Ventures, the eponymous firm of Clark Hunt, located on the 40th floor of Thanksgiving Tower in the same suite where his father, Lamar Hunt, once ran his sports and business empire. That man was 46-year-old Barrett Wissman.
And who is Barrett Wissman, exactly, besides a central figure in an ever-expanding investigation that has led to more than 100 subpoenas being issued to investment firms across the country, that has embroiled no less than the Treasury Department’s Steven Rattner, and that has raised serious questions about how billions of dollars in state pension funds from New York to California are managed? It depends on whom you ask. Wissman, through his lawyer’s PR man, declined an interview request. But his rabbi says he’s a great guy. His godmother, on the other hand, says he’s a liar and a cheat.
In the mid-’90s, money was pouring into that Thanksgiving Tower office. On one side was the Hunt Sports Group, decorated with a signed Joe Montana Kansas City Chiefs jersey and other memorabilia related to its sports holdings. But the real action was on the other end of the office, where work of a decidedly less public nature was under way. That’s where Clark Hunt and his partner Barrett Wissman operated HW Finance and an associated thicket of offshore trusts and other financial vehicles (“HW” came from their last names).
Word around the office was that Wissman had gone to Yale and worked for a couple of years in international finance for Lazard Freres in New York City. Then his father had died, and he’d moved back to Dallas, just two years out of college, to assume control of the family’s chemical company, which he eventually sold. Some said he’d pocketed as much as $80 million. With that success, he’d persuaded Hunt, a friend from St. Mark’s, to launch an offshore fund called Infinity Investors with him.
Wissman’s aunt and godmother laughs at the notion. The family’s chemical company? It was called Athena Products. In addition to Veripretty tablecloths and Pretty Please housewares, it made lawn-care products under the brand name Carl Pool. It’s unclear when it was sold, but records indicate that in 1995 the company had just 30 employees and did only $2.5 million in sales. Wissman’s aunt says the family business didn’t make him wealthy. Far from it.
“I lent him money to keep Carl Pool out of bankruptcy,” says 78-year-old Rachelle, who asked that her last name not be used. “When I asked to be paid back, he claimed the money was a gift.”
In 1990, a Bexar County court ruled that Wissman had forged his aunt’s signature to defraud her of $96,250. “He was stupid enough to forge my signature on stationery that was not printed until two months after I supposedly wrote the letter on that stationery,” Rachelle says. Wissman was ordered to pay $233,919, which included awards for punitive damages and mental anguish. Rachelle says that in 1997, years after her godson had gone into business with Hunt, she was still trying to get him to pay up.
“You know, I haven’t spoken to his mother in years,” Rachelle says. “He basically tore the family to pieces. And prior to this, we were a very close-knit family. I would like to see him get his comeuppance. He took years out of my life in litigation that could have been avoided if he’d just done the right thing. There was something that made him feel that he was better than everybody else, smarter, more talented.”
A business associate who worked closely with Wissman in the Hunt office agrees with the assessment: “Barrett made me feel like he thought, ‘There’s me. And then there’s people like you. But I understand that, and you understand that, so we’re cool.’ ”
The associate tells a curious story about how Wissman once repaid a debt. The associate would rather not say exactly what he was owed, but when he hounded Wissman for the money, a partial payment finally showed up in an overnight package from a lawyer in London. Hundred-dollar bills were taped inside a magazine. “I can’t remember if it was Der Spiegel or what,” the associate says. “It wasn’t like it was sloppily taped in there. It was professionally done. The bills were taped throughout the magazine.”
This was the man who in 2005 secured the first of two $50 million investments from New York state’s pension fund. On the one hand, Wissman doesn’t present the picture of someone to whom such a sum ought to be entrusted. His previous Infinity fund had been burned so badly—losing bets on Russian bonds right before the 1998 “Ruble Crises,” then on a series of Internet companies right before that bubble burst—that the name HW Finance had to be shed like dead skin. The firm adopted the new name HFV. No “W” anywhere in it.
On the other hand, Wissman has an air about him. In 2001, he married an exotic Russian cellist named Nina Kotova, who worked for a time as a model. He’s also an accomplished pianist with a master’s degree in music from SMU. In 2003, he bought the talent agency IMG Artists, which represents performers from violinist Itzhak Perlman to dance troupe Pilobolus. He speaks six languages and has launched a series of music festivals around the world.
More important, though, he knows people. People like Steven Loglisci, brother of David Loglisci, the indicted top investment adviser with New York state’s pension fund. Steven was the New York director of Ross Perot’s 1992 presidential campaign, for which Wissman volunteered. In 1998, Steven served as New Jersey Senator Robert Torricelli’s financial adviser at Bear Stearns, until Wissman persuaded him to take over a struggling Internet company called e.Volve, which the senator then invested in—right before Wissman’s eVentures bought e.Volve, giving the senator a huge immediate paper gain on his investment. Torricelli later had to abandon a re-election bid over an unrelated ethics scandal. A third Loglisci brother, Nicholas, ran a computer networking company whose board included not only Wissman but also Torricelli’s ex-wife and his girlfriend.
It’s a complicated mess. Determining where the various conflicts of interest lie will take months, if not years. But Wissman appears to be helping prosecutors figure it out. In April, he pleaded guilty to a felony securities fraud and agreed to pay $12 million in penalties and is said to be cooperating in the investigation. HFV Management and HFV Asset Management agreed to pay a $150,000 penalty without admitting or denying wrongdoing.
Some people who’ve known Wissman for years are left scratching their heads. Rabbi Jack Bemporad, who officiated at Wissman’s wedding and now is a professor at the Vatican’s Angelicum University in Rome, says, “The person that I’ve known for 20 years has always been kind and generous. All I know is what I read in the paper. I find it absolutely astonishing. It’s just not the person I know.”
Scurry Johnson, who knows Wissman from St. Mark’s and runs a Dallas venture capital firm, says, “In my mind, he was never a thoroughly knowledgeable investment banker or hedge fund manager himself. So he may have been in the middle of a bunch of people who were more financially devious. Or I don’t know what the words are.”
But up on the 40th floor of Thanksgiving Tower, Clark Hunt has apparently made up his mind. After Wissman’s guilty plea, Hunt ordered the golden “HFV” initials taken down from the wooden front door. A few days later, when building maintenance workers still hadn’t removed the letters, Hunt let his displeasure be known. So the office manager went out there himself with a chisel and scraped them off. Then he covered the ugly spot on the door with brown shoe polish.

5 Tips to select an artificial turf installer in Dallas
Research and Reviews: Start by researching artificial turf installers in Dallas. Look for companies with a strong online presence and positive reviews. Check customer testimonials and ratings on reliable review platforms to gauge the satisfaction of previous clients. A reputable installer will have a track record of delivering quality work.
Experience and Expertise: Choose an installer with a significant amount of experience in the artificial turf industry. Experienced installers are more likely to have encountered a variety of challenges and can provide effective solutions. Verify their expertise by reviewing past projects or asking for a portfolio showcasing their work in the Dallas area.
Licensing and Insurance: Ensure that the artificial turf installer is licensed and insured. Licensing demonstrates that the company meets certain standards, and insurance protects you from potential liabilities. Ask for proof of these credentials before finalizing any agreements. This step is crucial to guarantee a professional and legally compliant installation process.
Quality of Materials: Inquire about the quality of artificial turf materials the installer uses. High-quality turf ensures durability, realistic appearance, and longevity. Reputable installers will be transparent about the materials they use and may even provide samples. Choosing an installer that prioritizes quality materials contributes to a more satisfactory and enduring landscaping solution.
Warranty and Maintenance: A reliable artificial turf installer should offer a warranty for their work. Understand the terms and conditions of the warranty, including coverage duration and what aspects are included. Additionally, inquire about recommended maintenance practices for the artificial turf. A good installer will provide guidance on how to care for your synthetic lawn to maximize its lifespan and keep it looking pristine.
By following these tips, you can make an informed decision when selecting an artificial turf installer in Dallas, ensuring a smooth and successful installation process for your residential or commercial property.

4 Tips for Planning an Outdoor Team Picnic
There are times when you want to get out of the office and headoutside. Everyone at your company feels the same way. So, this summer, why not plan a workplace picnic? It’s a great way to get the team or department out of the office during work hours to enjoy some sunshine, fresh air, and delicious food.
Tumblr media
Of course, when it comes to planning workplace events, there are logistics to consider. In an office, a picnic isn’t necessarily a picnic in the traditional sense. It can require some coordination and planning to ensure it goes off without a hitch—and doesn’t bring down workplace productivity. From picnic lunch catering to finding the “right” spot, here are tips to make your workplace picnic a success.
Order Food Ahead of Time
When you think of a picnic, you might think of making food ahead of time and taking it to your picnic spot of choice. In some workplaces, a picnic potluck can be a great option. However, another option is to order lunch catering for the sake of time and efficiency. That way, you can get a whole spread of foodand have it delivered when you need it.
Ordering food ahead of time means fewer people are scrambling to get things ready. Most of the logistics are taken care of by your restaurant or caterer of choice. All you have to do is decide what to order, select a delivery time, and then set it up for the team at or near your picnic spot.
Keep the Food Picnic Friendly
On the topic of food, it’s safe to say not all options are “picnic friendly.” Some foods may just be too complicated or require extra setup. What foods are best for a company picnic? Thankfully, there are still plenty to choose from. You could go with the classic sandwich catering. Everyone gets a sandwich, chips, and a drink.
You can also go with a variety of Mexican catering options, like taco or burrito bars. These can be easy to set up while still offering plenty of choices for team members as they build their own tacos or burritos. Plus, like sandwiches, burritos and tacos are hand foods, and hand foods are perfect for picnicking since you don’t need a ton of dishes or utensils!
Find a Space That Works for Everyone
Some companies may have a lawn area where they can gather for a picnic. Others may have a patio or plaza they can turn to. The goal is to find a good space that accommodates the group that isn’t out of the way or inconvenient to get to—or inconvenient to other nearby businesses. A nearby park could be another option if you can’t find a space in the immediate area. Some companies go as far as to rent or reserve park accommodation (like covered picnic areas) for company outings.
Give the Team Wiggle Room on Time
For some team members, including team leads, managers, and company leadership, time is of the essence. However, with this kind of team event, it’s key to have wiggle room. Traditionally, your company may have 30- or 60-minute lunch breaks. For infrequent events, like a team or company picnic, extending lunch can give everyone time to get to where they need to go, enjoy lunch, and get back, no rush necessary.

Falling Apart - Dallas Winston Imagine for Anon
Anonymous said: Hi! could I get an imagine? You and Dally have a serious breakup, I’m not sure what else to put, maybe the rest could be up to you. A/N: had to fix the damn formatting because tumblr mobile is so useless
>:(
gif credit to @timmychalamet i cant thank you enough for blessing my eyes with those gifs
here we go!
The moon shone its dull glow on the earth as it was nearing its peak height, filling the dark places between street lamps down the stretch of road. Dally was walking ahead of her, close enough to protect her if something happened, but not close enough to have any sort of physical contact. He was angry, as was she. They were both having a good time at the Curtis house. The gang all gathered together as they did every so often, mostly playing cards or just simply enjoying the company of one another while the tv filled the background behind their conversations. This particular night, things ended up going sour. It was petty. Something not even worth getting angry about. Steve had gotten just a little bit too close to (y/n), and Dally lost it. His anger was dull in the beginning, taking small shots at her here and there, but when she started firing back harder, that’s when he got even more angry. He left promptly after a screaming match, slamming the screen door behind him. She hurried after him because, for one she was mortified that she and Dally just had a huge, heated argument in front of every one. And two, Dally got out of control when his anger took over. She didn’t want him getting into any trouble. Now here they were, walking down the sidewalk not saying a word to one another. “I’m takin’ you home.” Her heart lurched. That was different. He’d usually offer to let her sleep at Bucks. They’d make up and everything would be okay. It was a cycle, a vicious one, but everything would always be okay in the end. This time was different though. “Okay.” She said quietly. He noticed her change in tone but didn’t say anything. They remained silent for the rest of the walk to her house. She was too caught up in her own thoughts. The relationship had been going downhill for some time now. He’d been less attentive, more aloof. She found she was fighting to get his attention sometimes. She was also tired of the constant arguing and bickering between them. It was quite frequent, too frequent to be healthy. He was wearing her down, and maybe it was time to cut him loose. It hurt her to think about it, but maybe it was in both of their best interests. It was weighing both of them down and it didn’t seem to be progressing in any positive direction. They finally approached her house. Dally stopped beside the gate as she went to open it. She slowly swung it open and walked inside. Dally began to walk away without saying anything, but she stopped him. “Dal, wait.” He stopped and turned around, his hands stuffed in his jacket pockets as he tried to look as nonchalant as possible. “What.” She sighed deeply before looking him in the eyes. “I can’t do this anymore.” His expression changed as the words fell from her mouth. “The arguing, the anger, it’s just too much for me now.” Tears brimmed her eyes as she tried her hardest not to cry. Dally didn’t say anything, he just stood there looking everywhere but her. A tear escaped from her eye and rolled down her face. She quickly wiped it up before speaking. “You ain’t gonna say anything?” He wiped his mouth before talking. He looked irritated. “Yeah. You’re right. I’ll see you around.” He turned on his heels and started down the sidewalk again. She watched him walk away, escaping into the darkness. She turned around and sulked to her house. As she placed her hand on the doorknob, she heard Dally shout loudly before hearing smashing sound, followed by a car alarm. She quickly went into her house and went right to bed, wondering if she made the right decision. A few weeks had gone by and she was feeling much better. She was spending more time doing the things she loved, hanging out with friends and picking up some hobbies she had forgotten about. And she was happy. But a part of her missed him. She felt that they could have worked it out, and feelings of remorse crowded her mind whenever she thought about it. Maybe she had made the wrong decision. They didn’t even discuss it, he just left angrily. But then that’s when her mind went the opposite direction. He just left without saying anything. No discussion, no apology. He just walked away in a fit of rage. It was disheartening, and it was why a part of her thought she made the right decision. She and Pony decided to hang out that day. It was too nice to stay inside. The sun was shining brightly in the sky. Only a few white clouds lingered and the slight breeze that came every so often was just enough to cool them down from the Oaklahoma heat. They had walked around the neighbourhood and ended up at the park, laying down in the grass while they were discussing books they had just finished reading. Pony had just finished beaming about his most recent reading adventure when there was a sudden silence between the two of them. “Can I tell ya somethin’ (y/n)?” Pony said, changing his tone. “Yeah, what’s up?” She asked nervously, wondering what his question could have been. He sat up and crossed his legs, keeping them close to his chest with his arms wrapped around. “Dally misses you. A lot.” He looked back down at her, but she sat up beside him. She was silent for a moment, thinking of what to say. “I miss him too, Pone. But the fighting and the anger was just too much.” She started toying with the grass beside her. “I don’t think he’s ever gonna change. I felt like he hated me more than he loved me.” Pony chuckled a bit. “He didn’t hate you, it was the complete opposite. Dal’s just… really hot headed, you should know that.” He waited for her to reply but she remained silent. “He really loves you, (y/n). A lot. He ain’t been the same since you guys split. He’s a lot quieter.” “That ain’t my problem anymore, Ponyboy.” She said flatly. “Did he put you up to this?” She questioned, looking him in the eye. “No,” he began “I’d just thought I’d see how you felt. We haven’t heard from you in a while but we see Dal almost everyday.” “I miss you guys.” She sighed, ripping bits of grass from the ground and letting them fly out of her hands into the breeze. Pony stood up and held his hand out to her. “C’mon.” He said. She grasped his hand and he helped her up. “Let’s to back to my house, I’m sure everyone will be happy to see you.” He started off towards his house “What if Dally’s there?” She asked, following close behind. “I don’t think he will be. But if he is, who cares? Everyone there is still friends with you.” He said reassuringly. It eased her a bit but she was still worried. She didn’t want to see him, because if she did, all the old feelings would erupt back out of her heart, and she didn’t want that. They arrived at the Curtis house. The noise of the tv could be heard from the porch. Pony opened the door and and to her surprise only two of the boys were there. Two-bit was on the floor, Johnny was on the couch. They were watching Mickey Mouse cartoons. Pony walked in, (y/n) followed after. “Hey Pony, we was wonderin’ where you were.” Johnny said. “Hey, (y/n).” He said after. “Hi, Johnny.” She smiled. “Two-bit?” Pony questioned forcefully. “Oh, yeah, hi.” Two-bit replied, not taking his eyes away from the screen. “You invite yourself into our house, least you could do is greet us when we come home. Especially when we find your lazy ass sitting here.” Pony jeered. “Hey, watch yourself.” Two-bit said, looking over his shoulder at Pony. “Hey, (y/n).” He said after, changing his tone into a kinder one. She and Pony sat on either side of Johnny on the couch, watching the show with them. A few hours had past when they heard someone running up the porch. They quickly burst through the door. “Ponyboy?” Dally said, looking around the room before he saw his friend on the couch. He was about to continue but he noticed (y/n) beside Johnny. He froze, not knowing what to do. So he did what he knew best, and that was being an asshole. “Pony, Johnny, lets go to bucks.” “What about me?” Two-bit whined, looking over his shoulder at Dally. “Yeah you can come too.” He said. “C’mon boys, lets go.” He demanded, trying to hurry them along. “What about (Y/N)?” Pony asked in an irritated tone, not taking his eyes off the tv. An awkward tension filled the air as Dally stood in the open doorway, not knowing what to say. Johnny looked at Pony, then at Dally, silently enjoying the passive aggression. He looked at (Y/N) and shrugged. She spoke up, cutting the silence like a sharp knife. “It’s okay Pone, its about time I get home anyways.” She said, standing up. She walked over to the door, not looking at Dally, until he refused to move out of the way. She looked up at him with an annoyed expression. “Can you please excuse me,” she asked quietly. He sighed deeply and rolled his eyes. She thought he was going to move but he grabbed her arm and dragged her out of the house. “Dal! What are you doing?” She exclaimed. “Let me go!” She tried to force her way out of his grip but he was too strong for her. Ponyboy stood in the doorway while he watched Dally drag her out of the fenced in area of their lawn. “Dally, get back here!” he shouted before darting off after them. Johnny and Two-Bit ran out after him but stopped at the edge of the porch. “Don’t worry, Ponyboy. I’ll have her back in one piece.” Dally shouted back, waving his hand at the boy. Pony stopped in his tracks at the end of the walkway. He figured he would give them time to talk. It would probably both do them some good. She was still trying to wriggle out of his grasp as they continued walking. He stopped when he figured they were far enough away from the boys that they wouldn’t be able to hear them. Dally let go of her arm. She pushed him, but he barely moved an inch. “Dallas Winston, don’t you ever grab me like that again! You hear me?” She threatened. He laughed in response. “Why are you laughing?” “I know you ain’t mad at me.” She stopped immediately at those words. Dally was right, but she wouldn’t give him the satisfaction. “I am. Now leave me alone. I don’t wanna see you anymore.” He took a step closer, ignoring her request. “Dally, don’t.” She put a hand on his chest to keep him away. She faltered a bit when she felt how solid he was under her hand, but she wouldn’t let herself become weak by affection to him anymore. But he kept inching closer, and her emotions were knocking at the wall she had put up and barricaded, which was about to completely crumble at any second. She gasped slightly when she was halted by the tall wooden fence behind her. There was nowhere else for her to go. He put his hands beside her head and lowered himself to meet her eyes. There was something different about him, he didn’t seem as cold. He looked at her with remorse, his blue eyes radiating the emotion to her clearly. “I’m sorry, (Y/N). I ain’t been treatin’ you right.” The words rolled off his tongue like honey, and that was the final blow. The wall crumbled. Emotion flooded over her and she wanted to cry, tears of relief, but she stopped herself as he continued talking. “I promise, it’ll be different now. I ain’t gonna do no wrong to you no more. Ever.” He stood up straight, reaching into his jacket pocket. “I’d been saving up to buy you this.” He held up a small gold ring with a small ruby decorated in the centre. It glittered beautifully in the light. “Dal,” she said, He gently grabbed her hand and slipped the ring on. “W-why?” She looked up at him. Dally was a different man. He was being kinder to her, kinder than he’d ever been before. “Well, I’d been plannin’ to give it to you before, but we got into that big fight so I couldn’t. But I still wanted you to have it.” She gazed back at her hand, unsure of what to say. Dally sighed. “Listen, if this don’t change anything it’s fine. I just thought I should apologize for everythin’.” “Why did you just walk away that night?” She asked abruptly. “I was angry.” He said. “Man, I love you, (y/n). I never felt this way ‘bout anyone before. I was angry you just wanted to give up.” “Dal,” she began. “The constant arguing and fighting was taking a huge toll on me. I wasn’t happy anymore. We never talked about it either, just swept it under the rug and acted like it never happened, until it happened again.” she explained. “What changed, Dal?” “I dunno,” He said, his guard starting to build up again. She was entering sensitive territory and Dally still didn’t want to let her in. “If there’s something wrong you need’a tell me.” She pleaded, taking a step forward. “It don’t matter, (y/n)-” “Yes, it does! It does, Dal,” “I’m scared, alright?” He snapped. His eyes looked elsewhere, avoiding her. ‘I’m scared about where I’m gonna be five, ten years down the line.” He struggled with his words but he continued. “I want a life with you, (y/n), but I ain’t good at nothin’. How am I supposed to take care of you when we’re older?” “Dal, we don’t have to worry about that now, we got plenty of time,” She assured. “I needa figure it out soon.” he said flatly. “You’re not alone,” she said, embracing him. He was taken by surprise, but he hugged her back, tightly. “I’m here for you. Anything we gotta go through, we’ll go through it together.” Dally kept thinking about how he was the luckiest man in the world. He held her tight, promising to himself that he’d treat her like gold, and that he’d never let her slip through his fingers so easily ever again. “I don’t wanna fight anymore.” She said quietly. “We won’t, darlin’. He said, pulling her closer. “We won’t.”

Tree removal is a process which homeowners should generally not attempt themselves, given the fact that there is a high risk of personal injury, as well as the potential for damage to property nearby. This is especially true in the case of larger trees which have been in place for many years, and have actually grown too large for the environment they were originally planted in. When you’re faced with the need for having a large tree removed from your property, the company in the Dallas area which you should contact is BCS Tree Service.
The tree itself should always be removed in a professional manner by a knowledgeable specialist who has had years of experience with tree removal. Our BCS Tree Service specialists have this kind of experience, and will know the correct approach to removing any size tree which you might have. If you do have a larger size tree, one of our specialists will climb the tree and remove the larger limbs, so they present no kind of safety hazard during the removal process.
After this, it will be safe to actually cut down the tree, so that it doesn’t fall in a direction which might cause harm. Once the tree has been cut down, the best thing to do is to have the stump removed as well. In most cases, a homeowner will elect to have both the tree and the stump removed at the same time, since the stump would pose a safety hazard if left in place.
Tree stumps can pose a tripping hazard for youngsters who play in the area, especially if grass or weeds grow up around the stump to obscure it from sight. The stump will also be an obstruction when you’re mowing the lawn in that area, since you would have to try and mow all around it. It could also become a haven for insects which might want to either live in or consume the rotting wood of the stump. That of course would promote decay, and it would create a health hazard in your yard.

Cameron Dallas ~ Not Your Fault
MASTERLIST
Cameron Dallas x FemReader
Synopsis - You are walking home from a party and notice a man following you. You call Cameron and he defends you.
Word Count - 1.5k+
**Warnings** predatory man, violence, and woman being slapped
*** don’t read if sensitive to these topics ***
‘’Okay, Y/bf/n, I’m ready to leave. And you’re very drunk.’’ I look at my best friend in the eyes, knowing that what I’m saying is flying right past her.
‘’Y/n, I’m not drugged. Go home. Sam take me home.’’ She slurs. Not drunk. Not at all. I walk with Y/bf/ to find Sam, her boyfriend, so he can take her home. She dragged me here, against my will. I told her so many times that I didn’t want to come, but she insisted. She said that I am going to die alone with hundreds of cats because I never go out. Then I informed her that if I die with hundreds of cats, then I won’t die alone. Then she threw a very short dress at me, then we ended up here.
I eventually find Sam, and hand him Y/bf/n.
‘’Good luck.’’ I tell him.
‘’Thanks.’’ He rolls his eyes playfully and lets Y/bf/n lean against him. I make my way to the front of the house, saying goodbye to people I know as I walk past. I make out of the stuffy house and take a deep breath. Oxygen that isn’t masked with weed, alcohol, and sweat. Y/bf/n was going to be my ride, but now that option is off the table. Luckily, I only live three blocks from here. There are a few people on the lawn, but they are either drunk, high, or making out with each other. I roll my eyes and start walking down the sidewalk.
I walk a few houses down, when I notice that there is someone following me. I don’t want to make it obvious that I noticed it, but it scares me. I take out my phone and call my best friend Cameron. That way the person that’s following will know I have my phone, and Cameron can hear everything that happens. I pull the bottom of my dress down, now realizing more than ever how short and easily accessible it is.
He answers the phone on the second ring.
‘’Hey, Y/n. It’s late. Why are you calling? Not that I mind.’’
‘’Oh my gosh. So glad to hear your voice.’’ I say in an overly cheery and obnoxious voice.
‘’Y/n? Are you okay?’’
‘’Totally. The house was an extraordinary palace.’’ I tell him. We always joked around and said that if either of us was in trouble, we would use the words ‘Extraordinary palace’ to signal we needed help but couldn’t say.
‘’Where are you?’’
‘’I know. The park is so pretty this time of year.’’
‘’I’m on my way. Don’t hang up.’’
‘’Duh.’’ My hand starts to shake as I can tell the man is still behind me. His footsteps get faster as we near the park. I wish I had some sort of defense, but I don’t.
‘’I’m in my car.’’ He says over the phone.
‘’Hi, Darling.’’ Now I stop.
‘’Hurry.’’ I turn to the man and look at his face, wanting to take in every detail, just in case. He has a cut above his eyebrow. He has a hooped nose ring. His eyes are dark, from what I can see in the minimal street lamp light. He looks to be about 6’4 and 200 pounds. He could easily overtake me. If I tried to run, he could quickly catch, and who know what he would do if he caught me. I’m going to have to talk myself out of this. At least until Cameron gets here.
‘’Who are you talking to?’’ The man asks me.
‘’Oh, that was just my friend Cammie.’’ I say, wanting to sound confident, but not sure how his ears heard it.
‘’Cammie, huh?’’
‘’Yeah. She’s a few minutes away from here.’’ Hopefully that will make him not do whatever he was going to do. Cameron has got to be somewhere close, he lives two minutes from me.
‘’Why are you walking all by yourself?’’
‘’Only because my friend was meeting me here. Thankfully now you’re here, and I can have someone to wait with me.’’ Now I have acknowledged he’s here, and that I have someone coming, who knows where I am, I should be okay. But I need Cameron to hurry up and get here.
‘’Yeah. I’ll keep you company.’’ He gets closer to me, and I panic. I look at my phone and see that my phone died. The man continues to get closer to me until his lips reach mine. I don’t want to push him away,in fear he will hurt me.
‘’Hey! Get away from her!’’ I lightly sigh in relief hearing Cameron’s voice. The man turns surprised.
‘’Who are you?’’
‘’Doesn’t matter.’’ Cameron runs up to the man and punches him in the face. The man barely reacts. Compared to Cameron, he’s huge. He punches Cameron twice and Cam falls over.
‘’Stop!’’ I shout and push the man. His body doesn’t even move. He slaps me across that face, and my vision blurs. I’ve never been slapped, let alone by a ginormous man.
‘’Hey!’’ I see red and blue flashing lights and two men and a woman with guns coming over to us. The woman comes to my side and helps me up. I thank her, and she leads me over to Cameron. The two men officers handcuff the guy and put him in the back of the police car.
‘’Are you two okay?’’ She asks us. I nod, and so does Cameron.
‘’Can I just go home?’’ I ask her.
‘’Yes, you can. If you wouldn’t mind coming by the station tomorrow. We’ve been getting calls about a man that’s been harassing girls. We just need you to come in and get our statement, so we can get him locked up.’’
‘’Of course, we can do that. Thank you so much.’’ I thank her, and she gets in another police car and follows to the police station.
‘’Are you sure you’re okay, Y/n?’’ Cameron asks me.
‘’Yeah, I’m fi-, Oh my gosh, Cam, you’re bleeding.’’ I lightly touch his lip where its bleeding from. He also bleeding from his eyebrow, and his nose.
‘’I’m okay, Y/n, I promise. Let’s get you home.’’
‘’Sure. Let’s get home so I can clean you up.’’ He nods, and we walk to his car. There’s a silence the whole way to my house. Usually, there’s never silence, since all we do is talk about nonsense. He pulls into the parking lot of my apartment and we walk in. I lead him up the stairs, and into my home. I drag him to the bathroom.
‘’Really, I think I’m fine Y/n. I just need to wash my face.’’ He hates when I baby him, but I don’t want his cuts to get infected.
‘’You think, but I need to know. Sit on the counter.’’ I command him. To my surprise, he actually does it. I grab the things I need to clean him up. First, I wipe his wounds with water.
‘’I could have done this myself.’’ He says.
‘’I don’t care. Now, this part is going to sting. I pour antiseptic onto a cotton swab and dab it on his face. He winces, and I wince as well. Once I get down, I go to put the stuff away, but he stops me.
‘’There’s another cut.’’ I look at him confused, but he them lifts up his shirt and I see a cut that goes from the top of his abs, the right under his peck. I didn’t even see the blood on his shirt.
‘’Oh my gosh, Cameron. I didn’t know he had a knife. Why didn’t you tell me about this one? It’s way worse than the others.’’
‘’I didn’t feel in until now.’’ He shrugs. I clean up the cut, as I’m doing so, I start to cry. Cameron doesn’t notice until my hands start to shake when putting on the bandage, in result of me trying to hide it. ‘’Y/n.What’s wrong?’’ He lifts my face with his hand.
‘’It’s just that you got hurt while defending me after I did something stupid. Why did I think that I could walk home by myself? In this dress? God, I’m so stupid.’’ I look back down.
‘’Do you even hear yourself, Y/n? You shouldn’t be ashamed or have to apologize for something that that guy did to you. You shouldn’t have to worry about walking home in the night and be afraid to be by yourself. You can wear what you please. Don’t ever apologize for someone else’s mistakes.’’ I look back into his eyes and nod. He hugs me, and we stay that way for a few minutes.
‘’Can you stay? Please?’’ I ask him when we pull away.
‘’Of course, Y/n.’’ We leave the bathroom and I quickly pull one of the sweatshirts that Cameron left here to sleep in. I slip into my bed next to Cameron and face him.
‘’Thanks, Cam.’’ I whisper.
‘’Anything for you. Let’s get some sleep.’’ I nod and close my eyes, thankful for my best friend.
