नई दिल्ली. कानून मंत्री (Law Minister) और भारतीय जनता पार्टी (BJP) के नेता रविशंकर प्रसाद (Ravishankar Prasad) ने कांग्रेस (Congress) की अंतरिम अध्यक्ष सोनिया गांधी (Sonia Gandhi) पर निशाना साधा. रविशंकर प्रसाद ने कहा  कि ‘सोनिया गांधी अपनी टिप्पणियों पर ध्यान दें.’  दिल्ली हिंसा पर की गई राजनीतिक टिप्पणियों के मद्देनजर पलटवार करते हुए रविशंकर प्रसाद ने कहा ‘सोनिया गांधी ने इस पार-उस पार की बात कही थी.’ उन्होंने कहा कि ‘कांग्रेस, बीजेपी को राजधर्म की नसीहत ना दे.  ग्रेस पार्टी कल महामहिम राष्ट्रपति जी के यहां गई थी. हमें राजधर्म के बारे में बताया जा रहा है. आज मुझे राजधर्म के बारे में कांग्रेस पार्टी और सोनिया जी से कुछ सवाल करने हैं.’

कहा कि, ‘सोनिया जी पहली बात आप ये बताइए कि जो पाकिस्तान, अफगानिस्तान और बांग्लादेश के विस्थापित हैं, जिनको उनकी आस्था के आधार पर प्रताड़ित किया जा रहा है, उसको लेकर आपकी पार्टी की एक सोच रही है. आपके नेताओं ने बार-बार खुलकर इस पर स्टैंड लिया था.’

 ‘कौन सा राजधर्म है कि आज सब पलट गए’ प्रसाद ने कहा, ‘इंदिरा जी ने युगांडा के विस्थापितों की मदद की थी, राजीव गांधी जी ने तमिल लोगों की मदद की थी, मनमोहन जी ने कहा था कि नागरिकता मिलनी चाहिए और अशोक गहलोत जी तो शिवराज पाटिल और आडवाणी जी को पत्र लिखा था कि नागरिकता मिलनी चाहिए.’उन्होंने कहा, ‘ये कौन सा राजधर्म है कि आज सब पलट गए. सोनिया जी आपको इसका जवाब देना पड़ेगा कि क्या मनमोहन जी ने जो किया था वो गलत था? क्या जो इंदिरा जी और राजीव जी ने काम किया था वो गलत था?’ प्रसाद ने कहा, ‘सोनिया जी आपने रामलीला मैदान में कहा था कि इस पार और उस पार की लड़ाई होगी. ये कौन सी भाषा है? ये उत्तेजना नहीं है तो क्या है?’

प्रसाद ने कहा, ‘NPR कांग्रेस सरकार ने शुरू किया. आप करें तो ठीक, हम उसी काम को करें तो उस पर लोगों को उकसाया जाए. ये कौन सा राजधर्म है सोनिया जी?’ उन्होंने कहा कि ‘सोनिया जी मुझे आपसे एक बात पूछनी है कि जब शाहीन बाग में बच्चों को प्रधानमंत्री के खिलाफ हिंसा के लिए उकसाया जा रहा था, तब भी आप खामोश थीं. क्या आपकी पार्टी ने ये भी नहीं कहने की जरूरत नहीं समझी कि हम इसका समर्थन नहीं करते हैं? ये है आपका राजधर्म.’

Just months ahead of the general elections, the Gandhi family faces a nagging dilemma: pressure from Robert Vadra to enter active politics.

Vadra’s desire to enter politics is hardly a secret. The Gandhi family’s palpable resistance to it is also evident. Vadra is a soft target and his political entry will only delight the BJP.

After Vadra hinted that he could contest in the election, posters have cropped up in his hometown of Moradabad, welcoming him as a Lok Sabha candidate. Union law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, reacting to his speculated entry, said “Vadra could be important for the Congress but, we would not like to glorify him by reacting to it.”

After Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was appointed as the Congress party’s general secretary, it was only a matter of time before Robert Vadra followed. I asked Vadra if he planned to contest the general elections from Moradabad. Vadra said, “All in time. I will start working on it. But no hurry, as I have to earn it and people need to feel I can make a change.”

This means two things: clearly Vadra is extremely keen to enter politics but he is still hedging his bets by not saying that he will be the Congress’s Lok Sabha candidate from Moradabad.

Even the fevered speculation set off by Vadra’s hints is music to the BJP’s ears. Narendra Modi’s 2014 campaign hinged around the promise to jail the “damaadji” (son-in-law) for various cases of alleged corruption in land deals.

This 97-page document, first made public by Caravan, shows that most of the nine ministers, who were part of the GoM, flagged “negative” coverage of the government on online and international news platforms and called for supporting journalists “pro our line of thought.”
