It had been two years since Serena had seen her family. After trying to help people at an abandoned mall and getting attacked, Serena had nearly died, she had been shot in the torso and barely made it out alive. She had tried to get back to Troy, back to Tracy, but her radio was dead and she was bleeding too heavily to make any real progress in getting anywhere. She had tried walking away from the mall but in her decision had gone in the wrong direction of their camp and passed out from blood loss. The next time she woke up, she was being treated for the wound in the back of an odd van. A few people had come across her before she could die and had chosen to help her. Her wound was infected and Serena was in and out of consciousness for several days until she finally came to. Although by that point she was several states away from Troy and their daughter, and in no shape to travel, and without a long-distance radio she couldn't get back in touch with them. Serena had been looking for her family for two years now, and she now had found them for the first time in all those years. After picking up a radio transmitter, and checking the stations, she came across a voice she recognized on the radio, Troy. Although the radio couldn't transmit back to him, but she had an idea of the location and left for it as soon as she could.

Now Serena had found them, found her husband, her child, her group in the middle of what she could only be described as an all-out war against Troy and Madison.

Madison fucking Clark. Serena hated her with a passion, despite never actually meeting the woman. But Troy had told her what Madison had done to him, at the ranch and at the Dam. Serena had seen the aftermath of Madison's violence on Troy when she saved him from the Dam years ago. Serena had caught on to the fact that her husband was fighting Madison Clark through the radio chatter. After what Madison had done to Troy on the ranch with her manipulation and turning everyone against him, and then at the Dam. Serena wanted to see her on the ground.

For the moment Serena kept herself hidden, she didn't know the extent of the mess Troy was in and she didn't want to make things worse. She had caught up to the group on the side of a lake, with people there from Madison's group and Troy's, with a scattered heard. Serena watched from the cover of the tree line as Madison approached Troy. Something didn't feel right.

Madison was standing close to Troy, holding his arm in one of her hands, while holding Alicia's makeshift arm in her other. Serena watched, raising her gun to train at the Clark. Then she saw it, the change in Madison's demeanor, her expression, and how she tried to stab Troy with Alicia's arm. However, before she could actually plunge the sharp metal into Troy's torso her hand holding the arm was shot.

Madison let out a soft cry as she was shot in the hand, dropping the metal arm she had planned to kill Troy with and she stumbled back in pain, "What the hell?!" She exclaimed looking around in confusion.

"Have every one of your people put their weapons down, and step away from him." Serena said through the walkie, still hiding in the trees, "or the next bullet goes in your head."

Madison looked around in confusion and looked at Troy before picking up her walkie, "who the hell are you?" She demanded, although was quickly shot in the arm.

"I'm not someone you want to mess with," Serena said putting her walkie back in her belt before stepping out of the treeline and walking over to the group, she could see Troy out of the side of her vision. She wanted to run to him, to hug him and be held by him again, but right she couldn't. Instead, Serena kept her eyes and gun trained on Madison. Although she looked around at the group, the people who were apparently on Madison's side.

"I said put your weapons down or I kill her!" Serena snapped staring at them before looking back at Madison. The blonde woman was holding her arm, flinching in pain from the bullets, and stared at the woman who had walked out of the treeline in confusion and anger.

"Who the hell are you?!" Madison demanded again.

Fear The Walking Dead: The Real Deal - Introduction

Note: This is a fan-based alternative universe or alternative ending to Fear The Walking Dead, nothing here truly happened but it definitely should've happened, also Serena is Laurel, and she's alive in this universe and yes, lots of things are different in here.

Story

Betrayed, that's how Troy ended up dying in front of his loved ones, his wife, his child, they all had to watch him being stabbed by the witch of the apocalypse, he fell to the ground, whimpering from the pain, the last thing he heard was Laurel's scream, the last thing he's seen was how no one gave two craps about what Madison did, again.

Laurel had taken Tracy and hidden behind the trees, away from everyone's prying eyes, worried for her safety, she waited until everyone was off on their own way and she ran towards her dying husband, the two of them dragged the barely alive Troy into a vehicle and drove away, stopping at an abandoned building in Virginia, only stopping every now and then to make sure Troy was still alive.

Once they reached the building, she started to use all of her medical training to save her husband, Tracy helped of course, Troy had taught all the children basic first-aid skills, she was mommy's little nurse, and the two of them managed to keep him alive, although severely wounded and feeling anguished.

After that is out of the way, Lyn signals for Troy's men to join them at the given location and they do, making it one of the most secure locations there is.

One day, while Lyn was attending to Troy's wound, she was signaled to go to the main gate, she did so, and when she did, she found the party of Dwight and Sherry, as well as the people from PADRE, although she was tempted to shoot them at the spot, but they negotiated their way with medicine, food and expertise, things that they lacked currently at The Sanctuary.

A friendship forms almost immediately between Dwight, Sherry and Tracy, which made it easier for Lyn to like them, however, Troy didn't share the same sentiments with his wife and daughter, he tried to get rid of the PADRE people multiple times, only for them to prove their worth, especially once he saw that they didn't kill Russel like they had him believe.

Eventually, MADRE and Troy's band of rascals live together in peace under his leadership, as he had proven himself the leader that no one wants but everyone needed, he ran the place like a tight ship and ensured everyone's survival, while Dwight began to admire the man and eventually a friendship formed between the two even though Troy would never admit it, and Dwight became one of his trustees.

When Dwight was on a run for supplies, he saw a car in the middle of the night with two males in it, when he went to investigate further, he learned that they were Frank and Klaus, Strand was nowhere to be found, he helped them back to the Sanctuary then learned that Strand had shown them his true color and therefore, the duo escaped as far as possible and their car broke down, Troy reluctantly accepted them as refugees as long as they pull their weight around.

Ever since then, the group resided in The Sanctuary, living a mundane life, whatever that meant in an apocalypse, and fought against different, unimaginable challenges to protect their home and peace.

Laurel was in the medical tent when she heard some people shouting. She was going through some supplies and taking notes on if they were running low before she stopped and looked towards the entrance of the medical tent. She saw a few members of the Militia run past the entrance toward the direction of the gates. Lyn dropped her clipboard and quickly ran out of the tent, heading down towards the entrance of the ranch. By the time she got there, a crowd had already gathered, she could see that the trucks had returned but nothing else. Immediately she began pushing her way through the crowd trying to get to the center. She had to make sure Troy made it back.

"Move," she said shoving a few people aside who didn't seem to want to get out of her way. A soft breath of relief escaped Lyn's lips as she saw the back of Troy standing beside one of the jeeps.

"Troy!" she called and rushed towards him quickly, and hugged him tightly when he turned towards her. She knew he wasn't one for hugs but she couldn't help herself.

"Thank god you're back in one piece," she said as she released her grip gently and looked up at him, although the relief in her chest was quickly gone and replaced with panic.

"What the hell happened?!" She demanded as she saw the bloody bandage over his eyes, and she stood straighter, gently albeit urgently placed a hand on the side of Troy's cheek and pulled him closer so she could inspect the injury.

As much as I love ‘I would kill for you’, it kinda really loses its impact if the person saying it is a villain who already kills at the slightest provocation

’I would refrain from killing for you, I would spare them all if you asked me’ is a very sexy alternative, and a much more powerful declaration of love coming from a character prone to violence

battle couples has gotta be one of my favorite tropes though. The “you got me?” “Yeah, I got you.” The kiss for good luck. Fighting alongside each other for so long they know every strength and weakness. The dichotomy of being fucking terrifying to their enemies, but so soft with each other. When one is in danger and the other goes feral, protects them at any cost. When everything is over and done, it’s all “let me see where you’re hurt,” and washing off the dirt and blood.

Puppy Love Headcanons

When Tracy was nine, she found herself having an unexpected crush over eighteen years old Klaus

Tracy spent her days staring at Klaus, giving him death looks, she didn't understand why she felt like that but she definitely knew that she had a crush on him, meanwhile, Klaus thought that the youngest Otto was plotting his murder

Tracy went to Lyn for advice on how to flirt with men, Lyn, didn't know who exactly Tracy was talking about, but she did answer her question that the way she made Troy fall in love with her was by annoying him until she grew on him and he stopped threatening to kill her.

Tracy followed her mother's advice, she decided to annoy Klaus to get his attention, she started poking him whenever she saw him sitting, sometimes it would last for an hour or so, he was too shy and kind to say anything so he just took it, he also thought that if she tells Troy he might tie him to a tree and let everyone poke him until he dies

Tracy didn't get any reaction from Klaus when she started poking him so she went to Troy for advice, naturally Troy had no idea how to deal with a crush, he told her how he treated Lyn with constant threats of throwing her to walkers

The next day, Tracy asked Klaus to accompany her to the basement then she locked him in the basement with the walkers, thinking this would make him fall in love with her just like his mom did

Dwight ends up finding Klaus hiding in a corner in the basement after a day, totally traumatized, Klaus tells him what happened and he tells Lyn and Troy who are completely confused, they talk to Tracy and ground her, they also made her go and apologize to Klaus

Tracy went to Klaus who was being comforted by Frank and getting some serious medical help, she apologized to him about what happened and explained to him that she was trying to get noticed by him, she told him she had a crush on him and she was only following her parents' method

After that, Klaus explains to her why this can never happen, and how he's flattered but almost dying was definitely not it

Klaus and Tracy ended up being best friends afterwards and they never spoke of that incident ever again even though Dwight sometimes teased them about it
