Peggy Darts (redesign of my redesign of her)
Details:
For Peggy, I wanted to use a lot of pinks as well as give her make-up that's pink. Even her earrings and arrows are rose gold.
Decided to add in scars due to the fact that unlike Sportacus she actually attends riots as well as the fact that what she fights for is more serious in a way that in the book it mentions how she was fighting for a women's right to drive (in countries they can't) well for that she could have easily been killed by officials. I wanted to show that through her scars as well as her bandages.
Also, on the topic of her bandages, both those and her bat and her belt, as well as her combat boots, are all references to rioting. Speaking of her bat, it saids "Kindness." this is a reference to the quote, "Kill them with Kindness."
I wanted to make her eyes green which is both a reference to Edward as well as a reference to Poison Ivy from DC comics who was one of the first female villains Batman fought and is extremely against pollution.
I wanted to give her running shorts as well as a sports bra, so I added those things. I wanted to also give reference to her stripes she has in her original design, so I move them to her crop top as well as adding the lines to her shorts. Also, her socks are a reference to the purple in her outfit (as well as the stripes)
Background: the wooden plank actually saids the book she appears in as well as the number "14" being the chapter she first appears in.
Each building represents a social-class with each color representing her and her friends.
The blue is of course a reference to Sportacus but the house is to represent Middle class. It's the shortest to represent how the middle class is shrinking and it's sad because it's doomed.
The green is a reference to Edward but it also represents Upper-class it's mad because well... It's the rich.
The purple/pink house is a reference to Peggy but also represents the lower class who are miserable so that's why the house looks miserable.
The road is a reference to Sportacus colors in the second play/third book

Where did you get the scans for Ólympíuleikum and Vandræðum? I managed to download the Áfram scans from the MediaFire link in Chris' post -- where it was also said he shared PDF files of the later two books, but I can't seem to find those anywhere on his Tumblr or his blog. I've asked him if he still has them on hand, considering some of the old Maya download links aren't active anymore.
Hi anon, sorry for the late reply.
I have a post of Chris's linked in the 'disclaimers' tab on the blog, where he shared mediafire links to his scans of the books. I checked to make sure the links were still good, seems like clicking the links will only take you to the Áfram scan, but copy/pasting the url into the address bar should work.
Áfram:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/zu6wvl4ti6xrtx
Ólympíuleikum:
https://www.mediafire.com/file/74wjn4yyajw57qb/Latibaer_A_Olympiuleikum.zip/file
Vandræðum:
https://www.mediafire.com/file/xph3abxmxrbfhbx/Latibaer_i_Vandraedum.zip/file
Hope this helps!
Again, sorry to keep you waiting on this.
(oh and here is the post where chris originally shared the links in case anyone wanted it:)

I’ve been reading over my translation of Latibær í Vandræðum (the book that Glanni Glæpur í Latabæ was based on) and actually it’s not half bad?
I mean considering the fact that I went into it with zero knowledge of the Icelandic language and Google Translate as my primary resource I think it’s pretty alright.
I think I might throw it up on a sideblog or something in case someone else wants to read it.
(I know someone else started to post their translation but I don’t think they finished and I don’t think they’re in the fandom anymore so I think it’s okay if I post mine.)
#stay tuned maybe if you're interested#lazytown#latibær í vandræðum#glanni glæpur í latabæ#(i'll probably chicken out and not post it tbh)

This is an illustration from the end of the Latibær í Vandræðum book. I decided to have a go at translating the text and then I decided to bust out my ms paint skills and edit my translation directly onto the illustration. I’ve included the original scanned page below, before and after I messed with the contrast (to make it easier to edit). I’ll also put the text of the translation under a read more as well as some translation notes.
(the illustrator is Halldór Baldursson)
Criminal Record of Glanni Glæpur:
7 August, 1978 - Refused to give his mom a Christmas gift. (Mom->)
26 March, 1981 - Stole polka-dot underpants from a clothesline in Seljahverfi (<-evidence)
17 June, 1986 - Walked too slowly in a parade on Laugavegur and let no one pass him. (speech bubble: No one can go past me)
12 December, 1990 - Robbed all the Christmas gifts from Giljagaur (speech bubble: ha ha ha)
notes:
Seljahverfi is a neighborhood of Reykjavik.
Laugavegur is the main shopping street in downtown Reykjavik.
Giljagaur is one of the 13 “Yule Lads” from Icelandic folklore who come to town on the 13 nights before Christmas and leave gifts in children’s shoes. Giljagaur is the lad who comes on the 13th of December.(Wikipedia page for the Yule Lads.)

Latibær í Vandræðum (LazyTown in Trouble) - Chapter 1/25
Okay, here it is - the first chapter of my questionable English translation of one of the original LazyTown books.
Full Disclosure before you read - I don’t speak Icelandic, and I was heavily relying on Google translate and an online Icelandic dictionary.
But I really tried to make it as accurate as I could and I think I at least produced a readable story. So, here it is i guess.
(Just a few notes before we begin. I decided to keep the Icelandic names at least for the main characters, since I think most people in the fandom are pretty familiar with them, but in case you aren’t:
Íþróttaálfurinn (the sports elf) = Sportacus
Solla Stirða (Solla Stiff) = Stephanie
Siggi Sæti (Siggi Sweets) = Ziggy
Maggi Mjói (Maggi Thin) = Jives
Nenni Níski (Nenni Stingy) = Stingy
Goggi Mega = Pixel
Halla Hrekkjusvín (Halla Bully) = Trixie
Glanni Glæpur (Reckless Crime) = Robbie Rotten
Stína Símalína (Stina Phoneline) = Bessie Busybody )
*edit: If you haven’t read the two previous books in the series, you can read them here:
Áfram Latibær!
Latibær á Olympíuleikum
Original story by Magnus Scheving (1997)
Illustrations by Halldór Baldursson
Chapter 1:
The Sun had been following along with the exercises that Íþróttaálfurinn was doing outside his hill one lovely morning. He had already stretched his legs, done his push-ups, had some water to drink, and brushed his teeth; now, he was busy packing his suitcase. The sun became a little curious and longed know where the elf could be going. She couldn't stop herself from asking:
"Where are you going, Íþróttaálfurinn?"
Íþróttaálfurinn grinned from ear to ear and replied that his work in SunnyTown was finished.
"Just look at the town," he said proudly.
The Sun, of course, had the best view of the town from the sky above. She had seen the town come to life from dull LazyTown to bright and cheerful SunnyTown.
"I'm so happy with the change in the town," she said with radiant joy, and added,
"Once I intended to leave this town, but now I don't want to be anywhere else but right here above these mountains. I can send my beams down to all the people and all the houses in SunnyTown."
The sun forgot herself for a moment, letting her mind wander.
"But where are you going?" she repeated then, looking at Íþróttaálfurinn.
"I'm thinking of meeting up with a friend of mine, Edward, who lives in England. He's been knighted and is therefore referred to as Sir Edward Elf. Then we're going together to meet up with a friend of ours in Australia called Peggy Darts."
"What did you say?! LEAVE!" cried the sun, "Do you think, Íþróttaálfurinn, that it will be okay with the people of SunnyTown?"
The Sun gasped.
"Who will lead the morning exercises and make sure Siggi Sæti doesn't eat too many caramels?"
The Sun waited anxiously for an answer.
"The people of SunnyTown are fully capable of taking care of themselves," said Íþróttaálfurinn somewhat hesitantly, "I didn't teach Siggi to stop eating sweets for me, but for himself, and if he cheats and eats too much candy, he's only cheating himself. The citizens of SunnyTown are too smart to cheat themselves like that, let alone others," added Íþróttaálfurinn, closing his suitcase.
The Sun was about to ask more about the journey, but the elf had gone back into the hill and before she could think of the next question, he was bringing out one bag after another and loading them up. He had begun packing the night before.
The Sun was so curious that she continued to rain questions on the elf.
"Listen, Íþróttaálfurinn, why is the one you're going to meet called Sir Edward?"
"He was knighted and is addressed as Sir," said Íþróttaálfurinn, sitting down on top of a bag, "because he is the smartest of all elves. He has read every academic book that has ever been published, and his name is Edward."
"There you have it," he said, jumping off the bag, looking teasingly at the Sun and said:
"You take care of SunnyTown while i'm away."
"Huh? I... I don't know if the townspeople listen to me, but if I do this they're sure to smile," said the Sun, scattering her rays over the town even better than before, "But there's one more thing, Íþróttaálfurinn!" she exclaimed eagerly.
"I don't have time now," he said as he slung the bags on his back and prepared to rush off.
"Wait a minute," said the Sun in a mournful voice, "Why is the other elf, remember the one who lives in Australia, called Peggy.. something?"
"She isn’t called Peggy Something," laughed Íþróttaálfurinn, "She’s called Peggy Darts. She got that nickname because she is such fast runner. She can run over mountains and deserts, hills and valleys, and ever over water."
"What are you saying?" said the Sun, scratching her nose with a beam, "How can she run on water?"
"She gets going so fast that she just skims along the surface," said the elf, "But now I really must hurry, I mustn't lose any more time."
He said goodbye, took off, and disappeared from the Sun's sight, behind the horizon.

Latibær í Vandræðum (LazyTown in Trouble) - Chapter 14/25
This chapter we finally meet the other elves
Original story by Magnus Scheving (1997)
Illustrations by Halldór Baldursson
Chapter 14:
Now the story turns to the elves who were currently in a forest somewhere in Brazil. They were doing well for themselves in the middle of the forest, having made a little bonfire, and were sitting around the crackling fire. They had often come here before, mainly to discuss world issues, discuss what could be done better, and to give each other good advice.
Edward told the others how he had taught kids how to read, but many kids in his homeland did not know how. The reason was that they never looked at books and no one helped them to learn. Edward said that he had read to many children and said that they were quick to learn to read by themselves if they practised every single day.
"Others are worse," he said.
"What is that?" asked Íþróttaálfurinn and Peggy Darts, looking at each other.
"I have also had to teach children to tell the truth and not lies."
"Do you mean to say that there are children who think it's fun to tell lies," asked Peggy in surprise.
"Yes, so it is now unfortunately. There are children who are always lying. But there are some children who just tell fibs sometimes."
"That's not any better," said Íþróttaálfurinn.
"No, you should never tell a lie. You should always tell the truth because the truth is best known, as they say," said Peggy Darts.
Edward had stood up. The flickering light from the bonfire struck him as he walked around the flames. He began to speak again:
"Once I met a girl who had stolen money."
Edward paused but continued to tell his story.
"When I began to talk to her I realized that she was lying. She never dared to look me in the eye, looked down and changed the story every time I asked whether she had stolen the money."
Edward walked back and the elves closely watched his every move.
"Her mother had food money that she kept in a jar up in the kitchen cabinet. One day, when she was going to take it to buy dinner, it was gone. She asked the girl whether she had taken it but she shook her head. The mother asked rest of the family but no one knew who had taken the food money. I heard about it and hurried to the place," said Edward, quickly turning to the elves.
"Yes, and what?" asked Peggy Darts, who was on the edge of her seat after hearing more.
"I sat down with the girl, talked with her and explained that it was best to tell the truth."
"Of course!" Peggy interjected.
"I said that the situation will only get worse if one tries to lie their way out of trouble. Some think it's uncomfortable to tell the truth when they're in a pinch but it's a much better option than lying."
"We all agree with that!" said Íþróttaálfurinn.
Edward added:
"This girl saw that, retrieved the money, returned it to her mother and begged forgiveness. She promised never to do it again and has stood by it from that day on."
A smile broke over Edward's face.
"That's a little parable about what I've been up to the past few months but it's completely unbelievable how many children tell lies," he said and sat by the fire.
"Well, well , now I've been grinding on enough and I long to hear how it's going with you," he said, settling down on a log.
"Don't you want to start?" asked Íþróttaálfurinn, looking at Peggy.
"Sure," said Peggy Darts and leaped to her feet.
"I've been zipping between many countries, even continents, where I have been fighting agaist injustice."
"There is far too much of it in the world," added Edward, and Íþróttaálfurinn had to agree.
"I've mainly been concerned with discrimination between genders, because of skin colour, and toward minority groups who may be small. To think that women in some countries are not allowed to drive a car like men. Others are not allowed to work outside the home or vote in general elections," said Peggy.
It was easy to tell from her expression what she felt about it."There are also some countries where minorities are being treated unjustly because they have a different skin colour than those who are in control."
"Awful situation over there!!" said Íþróttaálfurinn, getting fired up with urgency.
"How has that been going?" asked Edward.
"Very well, but it's enough to take. Injustice seems to exist all over the place," said Peggy, leaning up to a tree.
"Bullying in schools, for example, that's an injustice," said Íþróttaálfurinn.
The elves discussed between themselves what could be done.
"Everyone, big, small, poor rich, white or black should have respect for each other regardless of whether they know each other. Both humans and animals have the right to be respected by everyone," said Íþróttaálfurinn. "But people can lose that respect with some kinds of acts, e.g. by using violence agaist another person."
"That's absolutely right. But now we've been excited to hear what you've been up to," said Peggy and Edward.
"Now, I have made my home in the vicinity of a town called SunnyTown. I went to observe the townspeople and noticed that they had devoted themselves to some very bad habits. I decided to fight against inactivity, laziness, greed, selfishness, TV addicton, being inconsiderate and overconsumpion of sweets."
"Was all this trouble in one and the same town?!" exclaimed Edward.
"Yes, unfortunately. That's how it was in SunnyTown, which was actually called LazyTown then," said the elf, stretching his legs.
He told them the whole story of the town, how Nenni Níski had been, Halla Hrekkjusvín, Siggi Sæti, all about the sports festival and the Olympics. The elves listened with interest to Íþróttaálfurinn's story.
"And did you manage to change all this?" asked Peggý Píla, getting closer so as not to miss anything.
"Yes, the people of LazyTown responded well, made the right changes and turned their lives around for the better. So the town restored its old name, SunnyTown, and I think there's nowhere on earth better to call home than right there," said Íþróttaálfurinn proudly. "The townspeople are friends, they are considerate of their neighbors, take good care of their environment, eat healthy food and exercise sufficiently...
"That reminds me, I should do my stretching exercises."
The elf stood up and began to bend and stretch.
"That sounds like paradise! I'm dying to go there and see the town with my own eyes," said Peggy Darts, her eyes shining.
"You can do that tomorrow morning. It would take you almost no time to cross the Atlantic ocean and take a look at SunnyTown," said Íþróttaálfurinn, laughing and sliding into a split.
"Then I'd better lie down to sleep right away and be well rested for the journey," said Peggy Darts, sliding down the lock on her sleeping bag and snuggling into it.
"Then you must tell me what you see, because the guest's eyes are clear," added Edward, looking teasingly at Íþróttaálfurinn.
notes: I forgot to mention it in chapter 1, but the elves names are Eðvarð and Peggý Píla in the original text. I decided to use English names for them because they’re from English-speaking countries (England and Australia). ‘ Píla’ means ‘arrow’ or ‘dart’. I think Peggy Darts works for her because dart is also a verb meaning ‘move or run somewhere suddenly or rapidly’.

Latibær í Vandræðum (LazyTown in Trouble) - Chapter 25/25
The thrilling conclusion!
(Well, this is it. Feel free to message me with any questions or comments you might have, but please don’t be too mean. Let me know if you think I should try translating any more LazyTown books.)
Original story by Magnus Scheving (1997)
Illustrations by Halldór Baldursson
Chapter 25:
Peggy Darts came running up and whispered into Íþróttaálfurinn's ear what she had seen and heard.
"I suspected that," said Íþróttaálfurinn.
"What do you suspect and what did you see?
Who are you anyway?" asked Officer Lolli, confused.
"Peggy Darts is my name," she replied, not even out of breath, "The car has, you see, been stolen and false numbers put over the correct ones. The case is gradually becoming clear."
"What?! A stolen car? A lady elf in running shoes? I don't understand this!" said Lolli and turned himself around.
Nenni was going to open the door to get some fresh air into the gym but he was not successful.
"What is this?" he grunted, tugging the handle.
Siggi came to help him and took his waist. They both pulled with everything they had, but nothing happened.
"We're locked in," Nenni sobbed and sat of the floor.
Siggi gathered the other kids. They all tried to open it, but the door didn't budge. It didn't open even a little crack.
"We're prisoners," shouted Goggi.
"I want to go home," Siggi Sæti whined.
"You can't," said Solla, embracing him.
"What do we do now?" asked Maggi Mjói.
The kids sat down, utterly hopeless, on the floor next to Nenni with tears in their eyes.
Íþróttaálfurinn lead the way to the gym and stopped there. He knocked vigorously on the door. From inside, they heard Nenni say in a small voice:
"What's the password?"
"Open in the name of the law!" shouted Officer Lolli, pushing to the front of the group.
The kids were very glad to hear him.
"We can't open it!" they called, talking over each other.
Lolli puffed himself out, causing a button on his uniform to give out and fly toward Stína Símalína. Íþróttaálfurinn seized the flying button so it didn't cause any harm.
"The doors are well locked," said Íþróttaálfurinn and brought Lolli his button.
"Oh, is it?" said Lolli, sweating.
When the kids heard Íþróttaálfurinn, smiles came over their faces. They knew that he would save them.
"Move away from the door," said the elf, walking a few meters away from the building.
"Are you going to break down the door?" asked Edward in surprise.
"Yes, exactly!" answered the elf and prepared to spring into action.
"Wait a minute!"
Edvard removed the buckle from his belt and stuck in into the keyhole. After a brief moment, the door opened.
Íþróttaálfurinn walked calmly to the building and looked at Edward who couldn't hide his smile.
"What are you doing here?" Nenni Níski asked the elf when he, Edward, Peggy Darts, the Mayor, Officer Lolli, Halli and Halla came into the gym.
The kids were surprised by this unexpected visit, but happy to be free. Íþróttaálfurinn and Edward asked about the machine and the kids explained how it worked as best as they could. They said that one day they would be made honoured citizens because they had done such a good job detoxifying the fruit.
"We're also allowed to eat as many sweets as we want," said Siggi Sæti, stuffing his face with caramels.
"Owowow, I'm sure to get a toothache," he added, ashamed.
Íþróttaálfurinn handed him a toothbrush and told him to go and brush his teeth well.
"Yes, I'd better. My teeth do hurt a bit," he said and hurried to the washroom.
"But who locked us in?" asked Solla.
"I'll tell you when the right time comes," said Íþróttaálfurinn.
"Would you be so kind as to show us this fruit-eater?" asked Edward.
"Do you mean the machine that detoxifies?" asked Goggi.
"Precisely!"
Goggi proudly showed them where the fruit went into the machine and exactly where they were detoxified.
"It's over there," he said and pressed the button.
Íþróttaálfurinn walked around the machine, sat down behind it and watched it for a moment.
"Lend me a screwdriver, a wrench and some pliers," he said, adjusting his hat.
It didn't take Peggy Darts long to gather together the tools and hand them to Íþróttaálfurinn who unscrewed the whole back of the machine. The kids could now look into the machine and see how it actually worked.
(labelled machine parts: “cans”; “fruit press”; “can lids”; “vitamin sucker”)
The kids couldn't believe their eyes as they stared at the machine. Goggi took off his glasses, polished them, and put them back on in order to see even better. The machine really did everything but what they thought it was supposed to do. The vegetables and fruits were not detoxified, but rather all crushed under a press and then slid down a tube into the basement. Íþróttaálfurinn opened a trapdoor in the floor and called for everyone to follow him. He then jumped down the stairs, with Officer Lolli following closely behind him, and the kids in single file. The kids watched, shocked, how the crushed fruit slid down into a big barrel that was directly under the machine.
They heard Stína Símalína shout from upstairs:
"Help me! I'm afraid of heights. You need to help me down the stairs!!"
Íþróttaálfurinn shot up, slung Stína on his back and carried her down the steps.
When everyone had come down, they inspected the barrel of crushed fruit and big sucker that stood beside it and was full of vitamin tablets.
"Rikki Ríki was going to make money and get rich from these," said Íþróttaálfurinn, sniffing one of the tablets.
"Many believe that tablets benefit them greatly, but as I've told you many times, kids, you will get enough vitamins if you eat good, healthy food." he added, looking seriously at the children.
(bubble: “Not everything is as it seems!”)
They climbed back up the stairs and Peggy Darts assisted Stína Simalina with the last steps. When they were up, Edward said that they needed to hurry to capture this Rikki Ríki.
"I will do it," said Officer Lolli, puffing himself out but holding both hands over the buttons on his jacket so they didn't give out.
"Lolli, you hide behind the door and grab Rikki when he comes in," said Íþróttaálfurinn, pointing at the door.
"Peggy, you hide up on the windowsill and let us know when you see him approaching the building," he continued.
"Will do," said Peggy Darts and darted off.
"Edward, you take care of the kids! Get behind the machine and wait there."
With that, he closed the door again and asked kindly asked Edward to lock it back up with his magic buckle.
He proudly walked across the floor, took off his belt, and removed the buckle.
Unfortunately, his pants ended up falling down all the way to the floor. Everyone burst out laughing, even Edward himself, who said that this wouldn't be the first time. He locked the door with the magic buckle and crept back behind the machine and refastened himself.
The kids waited anxiously.
It wasn't long until the screeching of tires was heard from outside and Peggy Darts whispered:
"He's coming, he's coming!!"
A second later a car door slammed and a key was put in the lock.
When Rikki stepped through the door, Officer Lolli jumped at him, grabbed his jacket and shouted:
"YOU ARE ARRESTED IN THE NAME OF THE LAW."
Rikki Ríki took off running with Lolli hanging on the jacket. The jacket ended up slipping off of him and he also lost his hat. With that, the true man was revealed.
This was indeed not Rikki Ríki at all, but the notorious thief and criminal, Glanni Glæpur.
"It's you...? I've heard a lot of ugly things about you. Police have been searching all over the country for you!" said Officer Lolli with the jacket in his arms.
He chased Glanni back and forth through the gym while Íþróttaálfurinn waited to see what happened. When Lolli was about to reach him again, he leaped over a pile of sacks of fruit. Lolli, on the other hand, was not nearly as nimble and ran at full tilt into the middle of the sack pile. Fruit rolled out all over the floor. Glanni Glæpur turned around, roaring with laughter at Lolli, who was lying splayed out flat amidst the fruit. He darted around the corner of the machine, still laughing, but he wasn't laughing for long because the kids were waiting there armed with tomatoes. They pelted him with the tomatoes! He looked like he was covered in ketchup as he stood and tried to shield himself from the barrage. He growled with rage and took off toward the front door. As he reached the door, Íþróttaálfurinn leaped forward, grabbed him and lifted him up so that he spun in the air. After that he turned him around in the air and set him back down. As soon as Glanni's feet touched the floor he dashed off but now in the opposite direction of what he had intended, heading into the gym.
Peggy Darts was quick to catch up to him, but he narrowly escaped her by climbing up the machine. The kids and elves all stood down on the floor and watched Glanni Glæpur, who had climbed high up and was clinging to a pipe on the machine.
"I'm not coming down, I'm never coming back down!" he shouted.
"You'll have to come down sometime!" Íþróttaálfurinn teased.
"Then I'll arrest you," called Officer Lolli, who was sitting in the middle of the fruit pile with a banana peel on his head.
"I knew that I could play all of you! I changed my name and everything was going so well until these silly elves showed up,"
"You come down from there immediately," shouted Peggy Darts, preparing to climb up the machine after him.
Glanni Glæpur cautiously came back down the pipe but he lost his footing and landed on his back on the conveyor belt, which carried him rapidly to the opening of the machine. A second later, he fell off the conveyor belt and into the machine. When he appeared on the computer screen with a terrified look on his face, Goggi pressed the button that was supposed to detoxify the fruit.
"Better detoxify you," he said and everyone laughed.
"Or preserve you in a can!!" said Solla Stirða, giggling.
"Officer Lolli, you see to Glanni Glæpur. I think he's stuck in his own machine," said Íþróttaálfurinn, helping Lolli to his feet.
The kids thanked the elves wholeheartedly for their help and were ashamed of themselves for having been so gullible. At that moment, Siggi Sæti came out of the washroom with his toothbrush and smiled his widest while he said:
"See what nice teeth I have."
He had been brushing his teeth the whole time, so he had no idea what had happened in the gym. He was alarmed when when he saw Glanni Glæpur inside the machine and shouted over him as he jumped up into Íþróttaálfurinn's arms.
"That's the biggest and ugliest tomato i've ever seen."
Everyone laughed loudly and agreed that Glanni Glæpur had got what he deserved. Edward stepped up on a chair and gave a speech about what he looked forward to staying in SunnyTown for his summer holidays. Peggy Darts was in agreement.
"But remember," said Edward finally, "that all that glitters is not gold. At first glance, a thing can seem harmless, but upon closer inspection it can be dangerous or hazardous. Therefore, always go with caution and think carefully about every step you take in life. My wish is that every step of yours will have a good outcome!"
That evening they held a big party there, where the old Mayor was reinstated.
(This illustration was at the end of the book. I’ve already posted it on it’s own with translation notes along with the unedited version. It’s here if you want to see it.)
//Glanni: I would have gotten away with it if it weren’t for you meddling elves!

Well, that’s all she wrote folks. Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed my attempt at bringing Latibær í Vandræðum to English-speaking audiences. I think it’s neat to see the differences between this and the play and to see how the characters have evolved over different adaptations. Ask box is open if you have questions or comments. :)
