We all need a friend like Lassie! Someone who can be sweet, but also a little bit psycho.

In most crime shows, Carlton would be the main character. A grumpy Detective who's good at his job and going through a tough divorce? Yeah, that's detective drama material right there. But in Psych, he's a supporting character to Shawn, the bubbly, energetic, funky, manipulative, liar who cares to much about weird shit and is genuinely a kind and caring person despite his constant manipulation. And you gotta respect that.

i am watching psych and i have to admit that lassie fits all the baby girl criteria

i’ve been rewatching Psych and now I’m feeling sentimental about it. For all its silliness, it’s really such a great show. Gus isn’t just a side character, he’s as much as a lead as Shawn. The growth development in Shawn and Henry’s relationship- the way Henry let Shawn hate him, even though it was Shawn’s mom who left. Lassie’s character development esp his relationship with Shawn. Also him and Juliet being such great partners and the show never made it unnecessarily romantic. Juliet and Shawn my beloveds! Shawn using humor and immaturity to keep people from looking too closely. Gus and Shawn’s friendship being the heart of the show and the fact they never had a dumb friendship breakup for plot. Shawn thinking he was dragging Gus down but Gus loves their adventures just as much as Shawn and even though Shawn’s constantly cracking jokes and being silly, Gus is just as or more hilarious.
