So… I can’t help but imagine Robotech songs being set to Whisper’s backstory.
Been getting more into the IDW run after that arc hooked me. I can’t help but imagine Lancer’s songs to describe her inner turmoil.
“Lonely Soldier Boy” definitely captures her in the present while “Look Up! The Sky Is Falling” has lyrics that fit with her loss of the Diamond Cutters.
“It Don’t Get Any Better” would capture learning to appreciate life with Tangle, especially with the song’s eighties rock energy.
Weird crossover I know but Sonic does share elements of New Generation/Mospeada with its Freedom Fighters going against enemy mechs and even some of their own.

Lancer was a character that really caught my attention. In the show, the explanation was that he disguised himself as a female performer to sneak by the enemy and spy on them. Really tho? Hiding under stage lights? lol. I thought he was beautiful and I tried drawing him a lot.

A while back I made this comic about how a lot of alt-right nong nongs saw trans folks, and how I saw myself. It was funny how many trans folks actually saw themselves in image that fit more in with the alt-right nong nongs, or at least saw that image as aspirational. While I have NEVER been even close to that cool. But I tell you that (and include that image) so that I can explain my first real attempt at making a paper doll. I decided to use those two outfits as the clothes for my Mary Sue version of myself, and draw some of the accoutrement that went with that image. THE DUCK WAS REVEALED. But I also thought it would be fun to include outfits of characters and things I loved. So you get my human rogue's leather armor and equipment (and little compy) from my D&D campaign. You get my urban fantasy wizard's character's clothes. You get the VR-041 Heavy Cyclone armor (Lancer/Yellow Dancer's cyclone, natch). You get Rogue's X-men outfit from Jim Lee in the 90's. You get post-apocalypse Velma and Scoob. You get creepy pyjamas. It was very fun. If you have the time, I highly recommend making paper dolls.

Notable Mounts Letharon doesn’t know how to deal with living mounts, so he prefers the tiny airship he built out of leftover Ironworks components.
Notable Minion/s Leth doesn’t really have any pets of his own (unless you count the Compass’ Coffee Engine) but is sometimes called on to take care of Aly’s pet nanka grub, Frog. It is not a task he enjoys much, but he does it.
Keepsakes/Mementos No
Chronic Illnesses or Disabilities Sometimes prone to headaches/flashbacks due to his augmentation, but their occurrence has been reduced in recent days.
How do they deal with these? He just tries to get somewhere quiet he can rest until it goes away, and/or takes medicine for the pain
Education Level Leth attended the Garlean Magitek Academy and successfully graduated with good marks. (He has the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in engineering.)
Habits Leth is fidgetty, and may come off as nervous or agitated if he’s in a new area or is around unfamiliar people. If he’s with Aly in such a place, he will tend to go almost completely quiet in favor of letting her do all the talking (she’s so much better at it than him).
Other Leth was part of the Resonance Initiative. Although not a ‘true resonant’, he nonetheless has been augmented to carry a version of the ‘artifical Echo’, as well as a number of cybrid modifications to make the most use of it. Recently, his augmentations have been refitted by another with extensive knowledge of Allagan aetheroscience to greatly reduce the negative side effects of his condition, and resulting in him now being classified as an Allagan cybrid rather than Garlean.

Deltarune Theory 2
POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR DELTARUNE CH 1 AND 2!!!!

So there are 7 chapters planned.
And there are 7 human souls needed in Undertale.
The number 7 seems quite important, and so do the souls.
Does anyone remember the objects in Undertale each human possessed?
Also a comparison I noticed is Frisk has a stick and bandage while Chara has a knife and locket. Kris has a pencil and bandage but also possesses a knife at times. This makes me wonder if Kris is a combination of Frisk and Chara. A Knife and bandage.
Anyway, that's not my original thought.
Notice how when you defeat Jevil you get a type of knife? I believe at some point ribbons can be collected in chapter 1 also, the light blue soul in undertale is associated with a toy knife (Lancer's darkworld seems toy/game based) and a ribbon (which you can collect ribbon armor). The light blue soul also represents patience which is something Susie learns.
In chapter 2, Spamton gives you either a ring or a scarf, this is more of a stretch but the orange soul in undertale had a glove (ring associated with hand?) And a bandanna (associated with puppet scarf?) Or possibly another soul such as
The purple one which had Gerson's (rip turtle man in Deltarune btw) glasses vs Spamton's glasses. Or the yellow cause of the shooter you can have to fight Spamton?
But if the orange soul goes with this chapter then bravery, something Noelle needs and learns is a good theme.
Perhaps each chapter corresponds with a soul? And Asgore has flowers from his and Toriel's wedding in the color of the souls still so that is probably also important.
But overall the items each soul had possessed at one time seem to be appearing a lot in Deltarune. I wonder about this.
For chapter 3 I theorize the dark world will be based around Toriel and things in her home, see my other post about this.
And if so maybe the blue soul will be represented here?
Integrity, something Toriel has much of would make sense. And perhaps something that Asgore needs to learn?
As well Sans had blue attacks, and we know Sans and Toriel get along quite well.
For the objects, ballet shoes and a tutu, maybe there will be dance related things in this world as well as flowers/Flowey and tv? Or maybe the next secret boss will be a dancer or have items like this.

Trinkets, 40: Interesting baubles, semi magical objects and items touched by mystery.
A brown wooden mask sports green stripes that appear to be the color of the wood instead of being painted on. A single studded iron plate runs down the nose of the mask, stamped with a decorative "L" on the forehead.
A glass flask messily labelled “Alchemist’s Fire”. It actually contains a highly-potent cinnamon whisky.
A small bag containing a large brass coin stamped with the insignia of the archdemon of Random Evil Domain, along with a red cultist mask. There is also a map of the nearby area that indicates a meeting location somewhere in the distant woods. A perceptive PC will notice that the map reveals a passphrase “Bloodmoon” hidden within the drawing.
A scrap of parchment that reads; "Leave the jewel in a sewer grate by the church, or the next time you look into her eyes they won't be in her head."
A tool designed to crack nuts. It disintegrates shells, leaving the nuts untouched. Bloody marks between the teeth and weird stains on the handle leave disturbing thoughts as to what it has been used for recently.
A military banner bearing a black on yellow pattern with a crimson border, the center dominated by a grinning human skull spit upon a lance. Knowledgeable PC’s will recognize the sigil as that of the Mad Lancer’s an infamous cavalry unit that was a force of nature as much as a military company.
A tattered remnant of a sermon written on vellum. A certain passage reads “With the certainty of stone, we shall persevere. Each crack, each mark is not a blemish, but a testament—a history of defiance writ upon our flesh?”
A tiny porcelain doll with unnervingly human eyes.
A slender hand harp, graceful of design, small and light enough to be played in one's lap. It is carved of teak wood engraved with designs of waves and fog, with silver wire for strings.

Polished, silvered fingerbones interlace to form a simple gate, operated by twisting a knob at the top formed from a single smooth vertebra surrounding a porcelain mechanism. Inside the small cavity is a cage formed out of rib that could have held an ancient curiosity of some sort, but now lies empty. The faintest touch of necromancy suffuses the curio, but surely any power it once held has long faded...

Possibly, the characters in Deltarune may have souls that correspond to those of Undertale
So in Undertale, one of the more niche and obtuse plot elements are the seven human souls each having a little theme, associated weapon, and meaning to them. You can find this at various points in the game, and the virtues of them are listed in the Flag game It goes like so: Aqua: Patience. Associated with the Faded Ribbon and Toy Knife, found in the ruins. Sometimes speculated to be a child. A light-blue attack must be dodged by standing still, and some say this implies that an Aqua soul would not move nor have any real way to avoid attacks. Ball game text: "Ball" is "Small." You waited, still, for this opportunity, ... then dethroned "Ball" with a sharp attack. Orange: Bravery. Associated with the Many Bandana and Tough Glove, possibly a boxer or martial artist. Their equipment is found in the Snowdin Shop, just after the dogs, and the Tough Glove’s damage can be further boosted with a Punch Card. To dodge an Orange attack you have to be moving through it. Thus, the speculation is that the Orange soul is always moving. Ball Game text: You are the kind of person who rushes fists-first through all obstacles. Dark Blue: Integrity. Associated with the Old Tutu and Ballet Shoes, implying a ‘Dancer’ theme. Not too notable, but the tutu is dusty, implying the Blue Soul killed someone. A blue soul falls to the bottom of the screen and jumps, which mirrors the ‘ballet’ theme a lot Ball game text: Hopping and twirling, your original style pulled you through. Purple: Perseverance. Associated with the Cloudy Glasses and Torn Notebook, implying a FUCKING NERD who analyzes things and keeps notes. The Torn Notebook and Cloudy Glasses have the gimmick of boosting Invulnerability, making you highly resistant. The purple soul mechanic is only used in the Muffet fight, 'trapping’ a soul to one of several lines. Ball game text: Even when you felt trapped, you took notes and achieved the end of "Ball." Green: Kindness. Associated with the Burnt Pan and Stained Apron, implying a cook or possibly a mom or something. Notably, -strongly- associated with healing as both these items heal you. Green attacks heal the player, while a green soul mode is the ‘Shield’ mode you use in the Undine fight that blocks attacks. Ball game text: Your concern and care for "Ball" led to a delicious victory. Yellow: Justice. Associated with the Empty Gun and Cowboy Hat - Notably a cowboy theme, and notably one of the most powerful weapons in the game with an armor that boosts attack Fittingly, the Yellow Soul Move is the Shooter mode Ball game text: Your sure-fire accuracy put an end to the mayhem of "Ball." ...And red is the ‘Player’ soul. Arguably associated with Determination, though this is not definitive, and it can move freely around the battle box without restriction. It is associated with the Stick and the Bandage, both items with alternative uses (The stick can spare certain enemies, such as dogs and wizards, while the Bandage can be used as a healing item) -----
Got it? Right Now, in Deltarune, there are -also- characters associated with some colours...
Most notably in Castle Town: Kris has a Light Blue Room. Susie has a Purple Room. Ralsei, as can be seen from the coloured Deltarune symbol here, seems associated with Green. Also notable when you use Lancer in the menu, which brings up a small coloured bar above each character: Aqua for Kris, Purple for Susie, Green for Ralsei, and Yellow for Noelle. Lets entertain that these call back to Undertale, as the choice seems like it may be deliberate... Ralsei is the most obvious: He’s Green. VERY notable parallels; he is a dedicated healer with a strong association with Kindness. There’s more to his character, but the parallels seem obvious compared to the others. Kris is Aqua, presumably. This may have puppet symbolism, as a teal soul may not move on it’s own. Kris, likewise, is a weird loner who doesn’t partake in many extracurriculars compared to Asriel, doesn’t have a lot of deep bonds, and is kind of strange and speaks very little. Narratively, Kris appears to be waiting for a number of things, especially if certain fan theories hold: Waiting for Asriel, waiting for the soul to watch Susie to they can speak with Ralsei, waiting for a moment to take the soul away, etc. Susie is purple, so... Perseverance? This one seems a little tenuous; but a lot of interpretations seem to imply her life is not great. Susie starts as a bully, who is antagonistic and violent towards others and intimidates a lot of people. She notably doesn’t call home, ever, and eats strange substances, and people take this to mean she is in a home situation that is hard on her. A purple soul moves within the confines of it’s ‘trap,’ and so if theories about her rough home life are true, that would be quite logical And Noelle, who would be Justice... I don’t have much for, since so much is unknown. But, we know that -something- happened to Dess, something she hasn’t got over yet. And, we know that - Like the ‘Cowboy’ - she can be incredibly dangerous, and seems associated with high attack power. But, what association with justice Noelle has... That is still pretty unknown, exactly There is one other colour we may know... At the end of the Snowgrave route, the toy in the hospital has it’s dialogue changed:
Which implied Berdly might be ‘Blue.’ If Berdly is blue, it’s pretty distant from how he was portrayed so far... But through this chapter, has become just a little bit more true to himself. We might assume that ‘Integrity’ here means no longer projecting a fake aura of smartness and superiority to mask insecurity, and to begin acting more true to himself - Or, in the Snowgrave Route, to give up everything to try and help your friend. We may see Berdly continue to grow into someone who has more integrity than he does now ...This also means that, assuming the soul symbolism is true, there should be an Orange-associated character related to Bravery coming up. Perhaps, December? Or, possibly, Monster Kid, who is orange and has spines on the opposite side as in Undertale - But the same side as the “Goner Kid” variation in Undertale? Catti is a contender, but I feel like it would be strange, colour wise, unless she ends up with a strong ‘Black cats and pumpkins’ theme in the dark world.
And one more thing: Asgore has seven flowers from his wedding. There’s also a -gold- flower, right in the center, which is different from Asgore’s souls in Undertale; the final soul he was after there was Red. The obvious conclusion is that is represents Asriel, since Flowey was a gold flower, but who can really say...? It’s possible Gold is instead December, if Dess is indeed lost and needs to be saved, as Flowey was. It would make sense for Dess to be Gold, if Noelle is Yellow. But that’s -all- speculation. It’s 100% possible this is horoscope-level nonsense, haha

~~ODDS AND ENDS~~ Notable Weapons He doesn’t have any particular bond with any of his weapons, really. He sees them as tools, and ones that he uses only reluctantly. He sometimes enjoys tinkering with the ones he builds, but that’s more of a hobby than anything.
Notable Mounts He has various vehicles and machines he likes to fuss over and drive around, but he’s particularly fond of his SDS Fenrir.
In addition to his chocobo—a particularly stubborn beast named Doreen—he’s also fond of his battlesheep, Doctor One and a colossal crab he’s dubbed St. Barnabus.
Notable Minion/s Besides Doctor One and St. Barnabas, Evander is especially fond of various clockworks, automata, wind-ups and models that he’s put together. His favorite is a drone modeled after a Magitek bit that he’s named Valencia.

Chronic Illnesses or Disabilities Evander lives with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. I’ve written about it a few places, most notably at length here and in brief here. How do they deal with these? Depends on the day, really. This isn’t really a thing he has a name for, so it’s not a thing he can easily address. He’s got a sloppily slapped together set coping mechanisms that work about half the time, if he’s lucky. Other than that, he mostly hopes for good days full of things he can convince himself he’s interested in.
Education Level He likes it when people underestimate him, so he’s not always quick to admit to the formal Ishgardian education afforded to him by the family that took him in when he left Limsa Lominsa. He’ll often try to pass it off as eclectic, self-driven studies... Which, admittedly, also played a big part in shaping him.
Habits There’s a lot of excess in his life. He drinks too much. He eats too much. He stays up too late, too long, and then sleeps too late, too long. He’s almost always got a flask or four on his person, and he often finds that he’s picking up the dinner or drink tab wherever he goes.
Other Nothing immediately springs to mind, but I’m sure there’s like a dozen things I should put here. This thing has been sitting in my drafts for god-knows-how-long, so I’m just glad to finally get it out there.

More goofing around in Eorzea
Jayesh found a date on the Moogle matchmaking service. While nice, the girl was more interested in the dancers on stage, and they parted ways at the end of the night on friendly terms, but without any future date plans.
Jayesh went to visit his chocobo, Tempest, and had a much warmer reception. Fluttering his feathers and chirping, Tempest expressed his gladness to see his master. “Good boy,” Jayesh whispered, feeding him a cookie he had scored at dinner. “Who’s the best chocobo? Who’s the prettiest yellow bird?”
He hesitated before using the nearest Aetheryte. “How does this thing work, exactly? What happens to the soul as the body is dissolved into aether? Is it temporarily adrift in the Astral Sea until the body is reconstituted? Why did I have the chicken for dinner?”
The next day, at Conjurer training, Jayesh observed a new acolyte falling asleep as the instructor droned on and on about the elementals. “You all right, mate?” Jayesh muttered. The lalafel roused with a snort. “What? Oh. I’m fine, just had a great party last night. Great party, in fact--” The instructor glared both of them into silence.
That night, Jayesh met up with a friend for a friendly meal in the inn.
While there, Jayesh was intimidated by a towering Au Ra lancer. Being only a small Hyur, Jayesh saluted very respectfully.
Shaken, Jayesh sat down to steady his nerves with a drink, only to find that the table was occupied by a costumed pumpkinhead. Right, it was Halloween! He tried to make polite conversation. “Uh, so, nice weather we’re having.”
“It is nice weather,” said the costumed man. “In fact, I should like to take your soul for a spin in the afterlife.” “Oh, please don’t,” said Jayesh. “I need my soul. Hydaelyn kind of owns it, you know.” “In that case,” said the stranger, “Have a happy Halloween!” He picked up his wind-up Alphinaud and departed, leaving Jayesh in need of a second drink.
