Ok I have more I have ideas to add.

So to recap this AU from when I first posted about it 3 years ago (jesus christ)

This is trials of Apollo but it's a magical girl anime. The only way Apollo can access any of his godly powers or abilities is to transform into a magical girl. Anyone who travels and fights with him has to transform into a magical girl as well. The Arrow of Dodona can become human bc it's a magical girl anime and we need a hot love interest to cheer on our main character. Keep in mind the only magical girl anime I have ever watched is Madoka Magica, so my experience in this field is limited and extremely dark.

Alright onto new story ideas.

Last time I wrote about this I forgot about the animal sidekick. I considered a wolf, since Apollo's magical girl fursona was wolf ears and a tail, but I think I've been giving Apollo too many wolves recently so instead we're going with a different sacred animal. In this Au Apollo has a swan. Her name is Lamperos (literally translates to glowing) She also talks.

The phrase Idol singer just flashed through my mind and I can't believe I didn't think of this before. Guys Lester is now an idol singer.

As always there are super long transformation sequences before every fight starts. The bigger the fighting group, the longer it takes. The fight at the end of Tower of Nero was a mess. Everytime someone new entered the room, another minute had to spent watching a glorious transformation.

I can't believe I didn't think of this one before, but in Magical Girl anime, no one recognizes the alter ego of the magical girl, no matter how obvious it is. So the triumvirate think they're chasing after Meg and Apollo, but they keep getting stopped by two strangers in frilly outfits that are insanely violent and hard to beat. It's like how Dr. Doofenshmirtz can never recognize Perry the Platypus without the hat.

The Arrow of Dodona here works as half-begrudging guide and half-love interest. It's an interesting dynamic.

As I said earlier, Apollo's magical girl fursona is a wolf (inside him are two wolves-) However, there is a quirk of his design based more on Kitsune. Apollo starts out the trials with two tails, and after each quest is finished, he gains a new one. That way he ends with seven tails (his sacred number) and is able to ascend back to godhood. Sounds good in theory, but once he gets past three they end up just being a hassle.

Meg and Apollo both have an item they use to begin their transformation. For Apollo, it's a sun earring. For Meg, a brooch in the shape of a rose. The other protagonists all have their own unique items that they get to keep as fun souvenirs after the trials end.

Ok I think that's all for now, might draw more characters in magical girl outfits tmrw if I'm feeling kooky crazy and not like other girls. Hope this was a fun read!

Redesign of the Magical Girl!AU, this time I actually took it seriously instead of using gacha life dresses my cousin made.

Also I realized that some of the people who have seen my cursed polldona work didn't realize that came from an even more cursed Magical Girl!AU so I thought I would bless them with that knowledge.
