తాత్పర్యము : వాటి కంటెను రూప భేదములను గుర్తింప గల కాకులు గొప్పవి. వాటి కంటెను పై భాగము నందును, క్రింది భాగము నందును దంతములు గల జీవులు గొప్పవి. వాటిలో గూడ పెక్కు పాదములు గలవి శ్రేష్ఠములు. వాటి కంటెను నాలుగు పాదములు గల పశువులు గొప్పవి. నాలుగు పాదములు గల జంతువుల కంటెను రెండు పాదములు గల మానవులు శ్రేష్ఠులు.

MEANING : Better than those living entities who can perceive sound are those who can distinguish between one form and another. Better than them are those who have developed upper and lower sets of teeth, and better still are those who have many legs. Better than them are the quadrupeds, and better still are the human beings.

PURPORT : It is said that certain birds, such as crows, can distinguish one form from another. Living entities that have many legs, like the wasp, are better than plants and grasses, which have no legs. Four-legged animals are better than many-legged living entities, and better than the animals is the human being, who has only two legs.

ఇలతి ప్రేరణఙ్కరోతీతీలస్త భావవాన్ । ఇలతి స్వపితి వేత్యజ్ఞ ఇలస్తద్విపరీతతః ॥ నిత్య ప్రబుద్ధ రూపత్వా దథవాఽనిల ఉచ్యతే । గహనార్థాన్నిలతేః కప్రత్యయాన్తాన్నిలః స్మృతః ॥ గహనో యో న భవతి ముక్తేభ్యః సులభోఽథవా । శ్రీ విష్ణురనిల ఇతి ప్రోచ్యతే విద్వదుత్తమైః ॥

ప్రేరణ చేయువాడు 'ఇలః' అనబడును. ఎవనికి అతనిని తన వ్యాపారములయందు ప్రేరేపించువాడు ఎవడును లేడో అట్టివాడు అనిలుడు. పరమాత్ముడు తాను చేయు సృష్ట్యాదికృత్యముల యందు తాను స్వతంత్రుడై ప్రవర్తించునేకాని, ఆతనిచే అవి చేయించువారు మరి ఎవరును ఎండరు.

లేదా ఆత్మ జ్ఞానము లేకయుండు అజ్ఞుడు ఇలుడు. అందులకు విపరీతుడైన సర్వజ్ఞుడు పరమాత్ముడు ఏలయన ఆతడు స్వాభావికముగానే నిత్య ప్రభోదశాలియగు స్వరూపము కలవాడు. నిత్య ప్రభోదము అనగా స్వతః సిద్ధమును, శాశ్వతమును, ఉత్కృష్టమును అగు జ్ఞానము.

లేదా దుర్లభుడు కానివాడు అని కూడ అర్థము వచ్చును. భక్తసులభుడు.

OM Anilāya namaḥ

इलति प्रेरणङ्करोतीतीलस्त भाववान् । इलति स्वपिति वेत्यज्ञ इलस्तद्विपरीततः ॥ नित्य प्रबुद्ध रूपत्वा दथवाऽनिल उच्यते । गहनार्थान्निलतेः कप्रत्ययान्तान्निलः स्मृतः ॥ गहनो यो न भवति मुक्तेभ्यः सुलभोऽथवा । श्री विष्णुरनिल इति प्रोच्यते विद्वदुत्तमैः ॥

Ilati preraṇaṅkarotītīlasta bhāvavān, Ilati svapiti vetyajña ilastadviparītataḥ. Nitya prabuddha rūpatvā dathavā’nila ucyate, Gahanārthānnilateḥ kapratyayāntānnilaḥ smr‌taḥ. Gahano yo na bhavati muktebhyaḥ sulabho’thavā, Śrī viṣṇuranila iti procyate vidvaduttamaiḥ.

ilati means inducement or orders. As He is without it, as He is not subject to the inducement or command of another, He is Anilaḥ.

ilati may mean svapiti - sleeps. So one who is ignorant or sleeps to knowledge is ilaḥ. Since Paramātma is the opposite of it as He is eternally awake in wisdom, He is Anilaḥ.

The root nila is used in the sense of dense or inaccessibility. He is not inaccessible to devotees; so He is Anilaḥ.

సనత్కుమారుడిట్లు పలికెను - ఆ మహర్షి ఇట్లు పలికి దేవతలందరినీ ఓదార్చి రాక్షసరాజగు జలంధరుని చూచుటకై అతని సభకు వెళ్ళెను (19). అపుడు జలంధర మహారాజు అచటకు విచ్చేసిన మహర్షిని గాంచి పరమభక్తితో లేచి నిలబడి శ్రేష్ఠమగు ఆసనమును ఇచ్చెను (20). ఆ రాక్షసరాజు మిక్కిలి ఆశ్చర్యమును పొంది, ఆ మహర్షిని యథావిధిగా పూజించి చిరునవ్వుతో నిట్లనెను (21).

జలంధరుడిట్లు పలికెను - ఓ మహర్షీ! ఎచటనుండి వచ్చుచున్నారు? మీరు ఎచట ఏమి చూసినారు? ఇచటకు వచ్చిన పని యేమి? ఓ మునీ! ఆ పనిని నాకు ఆజ్ఞాపించుడు (22).

సనత్కుమారుడు పలికెను- రాక్షసరాజగు జలంధరుని ఈ మాటను విని నారదమహర్షి ప్రసన్నమగు మనస్సు గలవాడై ఆతనికిట్లు బదులు చెప్పెను (23).

నారదుడిట్లు పలికెను- రాక్షసులందరికీ ప్రభువైన జలంధరా! నీవు గొప్ప బుద్ధిమంతుడవు. నీవు ధన్యుడవు. ఓ సర్వలోక ప్రభూ! శ్రేష్ఠవస్తువు (రత్నము) లను అనుభవించు వాడవు నీవే (24). ఓ రాక్షస శ్రేష్ఠా! నేను వచ్చిన కారణమును వివరముగా చెప్పెదను. వినుము (25). ఓ రాక్షసరాజా! నేను అనుకోకుండగా కైలాసమునకు వెళ్లితిని. ఆ కైలాసశిఖరము పదివేల యోజనముల విస్తీర్ణము గలది. అచట కల్పవృక్షములనేకము గలవు (26).

On seeing the excellent sage, the king Jalandhara stood up and offered him a splendid seat with great devotion.

After worshipping him duly the surprised king of the Asuras laughed loudly and spoke to the excellent sage.

Jalandhara said:—

O brahmin, whence do you come from? What did you see here? O sage, what is the aim of your present visit here?

Sanatkumāra said:—

On hearing these words of king Jalandhara the delighted great sage Nārada replied to him.

Nārada said:—

O Jalandhara of great intellect, O lord of Dānavas and Daityas, O lord of all the worlds, you are blessed. You alone are the enjoyer of all jewels.

O excellent king of Daityas, listen to the purpose for which I have come here. I shall explain it to you.

O lord of Daityas, I had been to the summit of Kailāsa casually. It is ten thousand Yojanas wide. It has a grove of Kalpa trees.

🕉.  Don't use the words happiness and unhappiness, because these words carry judgments. Simply watch without judging-just say, "This is mood ‘A’ and this is mood ‘B’". 🕉

"A" mood has gone, now "B" mood is here, and you are simply a watcher. Suddenly you will realize that when you call happiness "A," it is not so happy; and when you call unhappiness "B," it is not so unhappy. Just by calling the moods "A" and "B" a distance is created. When you say happiness, much is implied in the word.  You are saying you want to cling to it, that you don't want it to go. When you say unhappy, you are not just using a word; much is implied in it.

You are saying that you don't want it, that it should not be there. All these things are said unconsciously. So use these new terms for your moods for seven days. Just be a watcher--as if you are sitting on top of the hill, and in the valley clouds and sunrises and sunsets come, and sometimes it is day and sometimes night. Just be a watcher on the hill, far away.

There is an age limit. Common people have age limit and conditions too. Srimata has neither of these. The meaning of this name is to know this peculiarity.

Lalitha Rahasyam

Befitting the title as Hayagreeva said Lalitha Sahasranama is an unfathomable treasure of “Rahasya”. If you unleash your imagination, each nama will offer you “sahasropari” ardhas (meaning). It is a bhava-sagaram. One can write 1000 words on each nama vaibhavam. Prathi akhsaram in a nama is a amrutha-bandam.

Take for instance the nama “Uma (633)”, which offers a myriad of upa-kadha. Uma as we know is the wife of Mahesvara and therefore they are famously known as Uma Mahesvara/Umamaheswari. She was born to Himavan. She started her penance at the age of five to attain Mahesvara as Her husband. As Her mother Mena prevented from her doing such a great penance at an young age she came to be known as Uma. U Ma means do not practice. The Siva Sutra names her as “Ichasakti Uma Kumari.”

Siva is pranava swaroopam – Om. This kara, ukara, makara, nada bindu samyuktham. Uma is the mirror image of Siva. She begins from Siva, the bindhu, her japa is for Siva (nadha), ukara,akara makara sammelan is Uma.

Linga Purana further says: The goddess born of Rudra’s body rebuked Daksha and was born as Uma, as the daughter of Himavan.

Uma refers to a deity that was once worshipped in Kasmira nagara according to the Nilamata Purana. Uma was originally blue-complexioned because she is Giri-raja puthri. She became fair after severe penance to attain Sankara. Her worship is prescribed on various occasions under different names such as Durga, Symala, Sathi, Bhadrakali etc. Vegetables, fruits, roots, meat, various kinds of drinks, lamps, jewels, garlands, clothes, incense etc. are offered to her.

Regarding the name Sathi, the Siva Purana, Brahma narrated to Narada: Daksha named his daughter Uma since she inherited good qualities and was greatly admired.

She is worshipped for a happy family. She is also known as Ambika and Rudrani.

An interesting episode in Uma’s life shows her compassion for another stree. Going with her father to Siva's house, they met Rati Devi weeping. She said that Siva had burnt down her husband Kama Deva (Manmadha). On this Uma's father did not like the idea of giving his daughter to such an ill-tempered person. Uma requested permission to do penance and was allowed. Indra at this time thought of the seven sages to bring about Siva's marriage with Uma. The sages were satisfied of her steadfast love to Siva and had his consent for the marriage; celestial women dressed Uma, as also the Siva; amidst divine music, the couple went to the city of Mahagirinagara and Brahma officiated as priest. After the marriage they left for Mandaragiri.

Uma is also mentioned as one of the 24 avataras of Mahalakshmi accompanying Narayaṇa. This particular manifestation couples with his counterpart form called Janrdana and together they form the 18TH celestial couple, according to the Pancharatram.

Uma Maheswara sotram makes no difference between Parvathy and Uma, though the name of the stotra addresses Uma. It begins with Nama Sivabhyaṃ Navayauvanabhyaṃ

The Rudrahridaya Upanishad mentions Uma. It asserts all Devas are manifestations of Rudra Siva, and all Devis are manifestations of Uma. They are inseparable, in forever union. Those who worship Siva, are worshipping Vishnu. Rudra is full of Vishnu and Brahma. Uma is same as Vishnu. The masculine is Siva, asserts the text, and the feminine is Uma. What moves in the universe, is just Rudra-Uma manifestation, Dharma is Rudra, world is Vishnu, knowledge is Brahma, all is inseparable.

Rudra is man, Uma is woman.Rudra is Brahma, Uma is Sarasvati.Rudra is Vishnu, Uma is Lakshmi. Rudra is the Sun, Uma is shadow. Rudra is the Moon, Uma is star. Rudra is day, Uma is night. Lalitha Para Devatha emerged from the fire (Chidagni) and radiates like millions of Suns. However, she is not too hot to approach. She is an Ocean of Mercy.

As a snana, japa, thapa, daana (gold, silver, varieties of fruits, deepa), dharma, bestows merits for noble deeds, the Skanda and Padma Puranas eulogize Devi darshan in a Pournami Chandra Bimbam (Full and lustrous Moon). Even Siva is called Soma-Surya-Agni Lochana. The Sun and the Moon at a same place shows frozen time. Only the cycle of “Divaa-Raatram” helps diminish our ayush. The day a child was born, we call the child is one-day old, never new!!!

Similarly, Lalitha Devi is compared with the Moon, on many occasions in the Lalitha Sahasranama.

Vasinyadhi Vagdevis verily compare Amba with the Moon. She is also called Raakendu vadana, as her face is like a brilliant Moon. The Moon is one of the ardent devotees of Amba.

His special way of worship called “Chandra Vidya (239).”

Her paryaya nama is Chandra and known as “Chandra Nibha (592)”. Devi’s forehead is compared with that of the Moon on the eighth day. “Ashtami Chandra Vibhraja dhalika sthala shobhitha (15)”.

She resides in Chandra mandala – sahsra karnika. Rahasyardham is for Chandra-mandala is Sri Chakram, says Bhaskaracharya.. “Chandra-mandala madhaya (240)”. For good health one need to worship the Moon during sayam-sndhya kala.

Vrudi-kshyarahitha Chandrama. “Charu-chandra kaladhara (243)” means jnana kala.

The secret behind the comparison of the Ashtami Chandra is that the Moon retains the same form (size) zon both the pakshas. Amavasya to Pournami or Pournami to Amavasya, the Moon’s size remains the same on the Ashtami day. The Moon, who is afflicted with Kshaya-vruddhi, has a gets a fixed roopa only the Ashami day.

Kundāni kundakusumasadr‌śāni phalāni yaḥ, Śuddhāni rātidadāti lātyādatta utācyutaḥ. Kundara ityucyate sa ralayorvr‌tyabhedataḥ. Kuṃ dhārāṃ dārayāmāsa hiraṇyākṣajiṅghāṃsayā. Vārāharūpamāsthāya veti vā kundaro hariḥ.

He bestows fruits of actions which are pure as kunda flower. Or the One who is offered kunda flowers by the devotees. Pierced or clove the earth taking the form of a boar to kill Hiraṇyākṣa.

అపుడు వారద్దరు మహాబలులు చేతులతో పిడికిళ్లతో మోకాళ్లతో మల్ల యుద్ధమును చేసిరి. ఆ శబ్దముతో భూమి ప్రతిధ్వనించెను (33). ఓ మహర్షీ! విష్ణువు చిరకాలము ఆ రాక్షసునితో యుద్ధమును చేసి ఆశ్చర్యమును పొందినవాడై మనస్సులో క్లేశమును, అలసటను పొందెను (34). మాయను ఎరింగిన వారిలో శ్రేష్ఠడు, మాయకు ఆధీశ్వరుడు అగు విష్ణుభగవానుడు అపుడు ప్రసన్నుడై. ఆ రాక్షసరాజును ఉద్దేశంచి మేఘంగంభీరమగు స్వరముతో నిట్లనెను (35).

విష్ణువు ఇట్లు పలికెను- ఓయీ! రాక్షసశ్రేష్ఠా! యుద్ధములో సహింప శక్యము గాని పరాక్రమము గల నీవు ధన్యుడవు. ఏలయన, మహాప్రభుడవగు నీవు గొప్ప ఆయుధములకైననూ భయపడుట లేదు (36). క్రూరములగు ఇవే ఆయుధములను ప్రయోగించగా గొప్ప బలము, తేజస్సు గల వీరులైన రాక్షసులు చాలామంది తెగిన దేహములు గలవారై మృతిని చెందిరి (37). ఓ గొప్ప రాక్షసుడా! నీ యుద్ధముచే నేను ప్రసన్నుడనైతిని. నీవు మహాత్ముడవు. స్థావర జంగమాత్మక మగు ముల్లోకములలో నీతో సమమగు వీరుడు కానరాడు (38). ఓ రాక్షసరాజా! వరమును కోరుకొనుము. నీ విక్రమమునకు నేను సంతసించితిని. నీకు ఈయరాని వరమునైననూ ఇచ్చెదను. నీ మనసులోని మాటను బయటపెట్టుము. (39).

సనత్కుమారుడిట్లు పలికెను - మాయను వశము చేసుకొన్నవాడు, పాపములను పోగొట్టువాడు అగు ఆ విష్ణువుయొక్క ఈ మాటను విని మహాబుద్ధిశాలి, రాక్షసుడునగు జలంధరుడు ఇట్లు బదులిడెను (40).

జలంధరుడిట్లు పలికెను- బావా! నీవు సంతుష్టుడవైనచో, నాకీ వరమునిమ్ము. నీవు నీ గణములతో, మరియు మా చెల్లెలితో గూడి నా ఇంటిలో నివసించుము (41).

Then he the foremost among the magic-wielders assumed a delightful aspect. He addressed the king of Asuras in a thundering voice.

Viṣṇu said:—

“O excellent Asura, you are blessed. You are invincible in war. Since you are a great lord you are not at all afraid of even great weapons.

Many Asuras have been killed by these very same weapons in great battles. The wicked and haughty people have been pierced through their bodies and killed.

O great Asura, I am delighted by this fight with you. You are really great. A hero like you has not been seen in the three worlds including the mobile and immobile beings.

O lord of Asuras, choose a boon. I am pleased at your valour. I shall give you anything even that which cannot be given, whatever is in your mind.

Sanatkumāra said:—

On hearing these words of Viṣṇu, skilled in magic, the intelligent king of the Asuras replied thus.

Jalandhara said:—

🕉  Meditation means to be oneself, and love means to share one's being with somebody else. Meditation gives you the treasure, and love helps you to share it. These are the two most basic things, and all else is nonessential.  🕉

There is an old anecdote about three travelers who go to Rome. They visit the minister, who asks of the first, "How long are you going to be here?" The man says, "For three months." The minister says, "Then you will be able to see much of Rome. " In answer to how long he was going to stay, the second traveler replies that he can only stay for six weeks. The Minister says, "Then you will be able to see more than the first."The third traveler says he will only be in Rome for two weeks, to which the pope replies, "You are fortunate, because you will be able to see everything there is to see!"

The travelers were puzzled, because they didn't understand the mechanism of the mind. Just think, if you had a lifespan of a thousand years, you would miss many things, because you would go on postponing things. But because life is so short, one cannot afford to postpone. Yet people do postpone-and at their own cost. Imagine if somebody were to tell you that you have only one day left to live. What will you do? Will you go on thinking about unnecessary things? No, you will forget all that. You will love and pray and meditate, because only twenty-four hours are left. The real things, the essential things, you will not postpone.

Let's take a look at the Chakras -

* Muladhara, the root chakra located at the base of the spine is the founding force of life security and stability

* Svadhisthana, the sacral chakra located just below the belly button is the driving force for sexual, creative energy and emotional balancing

* Manipura, the navel chakra located at the base of the sternum is related to the power of fire or the 'lustrous gem'

Anahata, the heart chakra located at the centre of the spine is the force that builds compassion, empathy, love and forgiving qualities

Vishddhi, the throat chakra is located at the throat region near the spine and is the cause for the truthfulness and communications skills

Agya or Ajna, the 3rd eye chakra is located between the eyebrows at the centre of the head, this is the power of perceptions, consciousness and intuitions, this chakra is also the focal point for deep meditation

Sahasrara, the crown chakra is located at the crown of the head with the energy radiating upwards to consciously connect with the universal flow of energy and attain spiritual enlightenment

Now let's take a look at life birth to life self-realization -

* upbringing is the foundational force especially till the adolescent age which is the base aadhar (Mula radar)

* sustaining the professional life require a creative approach and the core purpose of the married life is to procreate (Swa means self-awareness, adhistana - Adhi the origin & stana the life Amrit)

* Self-trust, Self-confidence, Self-reliance, Self-motivating > fire denotes the quantum energy that raises the willpower to balance these qualities and shine like a 'lustrous gem' (Mani means eternal, Pura is total)

Compassion, Empathy, Love All are the qualities that bring value to a person and establish one's identity (Anah means patience, perseverance - Ata mean the gift)

* Truth or Honesty connects one to the roots of life, reveal the meaning of life and enable stability in thoughts by which a person is well balanced (Vishu means hope and Diya is the flame of hope)

Wisdom is the state of knowledge enlightened with conscious self-exploration, perspectives and intuitions empowered by focus & meditation opens the inner eye, the vision of oneself (Ajna means the eye of intellect)

When the subconscious mind synch with the eye of intellectuality one reaches the stage of universal consciousness, the state of physic and the metaphysic realizing the purpose of life or birth (Sahasrara means 1000 petals lotus )

To summarize, the umbilical cord bond with the mother in the womb is cut ✂️ after birth only to be bound with the umbilical cord of Love and materialistic bonds

The Brahman emerged with the umbilical cord of bond with Narayana and seated Himself on 1000 petal lotus after self-realizing His purpose of the birth, The Creation

We too must remain bounded with the umbilical cord of the purpose of our birth by self-realizing through the Power of Kundalini

The power to tap the power of the Kundalini is in Pranayama & Meditation, profoundly initiated by an Acharya (Guru)

తాత్పర్యము : ప్రాణులలో అంతరాత్మగా ఉన్న భగవంతుని గుర్తింపక, బాహ్యముగానున్న భేదములను దర్శించు దురభిమాని అనవరతము రాగద్వేష దూషితుడగు చుండును. అందువలన, అతడు ఇతరులను ద్వేషించు చుండును. అట్లొనర్చుట తనలోనున్న భగవంతుని ద్వేషించుటే యగును. అట్టివానికి ఎన్నడును మనశ్శాంతి లభింపదు.

వ్యాఖ్య : పరమాత్మని ఆరాధిస్తూ కొందరిని ద్వేషిస్తారు. అంటే వారిలో ఉన్న నన్ను ద్వేషించినట్లే. ఎదుటివారి శరీరములో అంతర్యామిగా ఉన్న నన్ను ద్వేషించి, "వీడు శత్రువు", "పరమాత్మ నా ఎదురుగా ఉన్న విగ్రహములోనే ఉన్నాడు. పక్కనున్న ప్రాణిలో పరమాత్మ లేడు" అని తలుస్తాడు. ఇతరులతో వైరం పెట్టుకున్నవారు మనశ్శాంతిని పొందలేరు. వారి మనసుకి ఉన్న మురికి తొలగదు. మన ఇంట్లో స్వామికి ఆరాధన చేయడములో ఉద్దేశ్యం, ఆరాధన చేయని వాళ్ళని నిందించమని కాదు.

23. dviṣataḥ para-kāye māṁ mānino bhinna-darśinaḥ bhūteṣu baddha-vairasya na manaḥ śāntim ṛcchati

MEANING : One who offers Me respect but is envious of the bodies of others and is therefore a separatist never attains peace of mind, because of his inimical behavior towards other living entities.

PURPORT : In this verse, two phrases, bhūteṣu baddha-vairasya ("inimical towards others") and dviṣataḥ para-kāye ("envious of another's body"), are significant. One who is envious of or inimical towards others never experiences any happiness. A devotee's vision, therefore, must be perfect. He should ignore bodily distinctions and should see only the presence of the part and parcel of the Supreme Lord, and the Lord Himself in His plenary expansion as Supersoul. That is the vision of a pure devotee. The bodily expression of a particular type of living entity is always ignored by the devotee. It is expressed herein that the Lord is always eager to deliver the conditioned souls, who have been encaged within material bodies. Devotees are expected to carry the message or desire of the Lord to such conditioned souls and enlighten them with Kṛṣṇa consciousness. Thus they may be elevated to transcendental, spiritual life, and the mission of their lives will be successful.

అపుడు గరుడుని రెక్కల వేగమునుండి పుట్టిన గాలిచే పీడను పొందిన రాక్షసుల తుఫాను లో మేఘములవలె ఆకాశములో పల్టీలు కొట్టిరి (8). అపుడు మహారాక్షసుడు, దేవతల సమూహములకు భయమును గొల్పువాడు అగు జలందరుడు పెనుగాలిచే దుఃఖితులగుచున్న రాక్షసులను చూసి మిక్కిలి కోపించెను (9). రాక్షసులను సంహరించుచున్న విష్ణువును గాంచి కోపముతో వణకుచున్న అధరము గల వీరుడగు జలంధరుడు విష్ణువుతో యుద్ధమును చేయుట కొరకై ముందునకురికెను (10).

ఆ రాక్షసేశ్వరుడు దేవతలకు, రాక్షసులకు కూడా భయమును గొల్పు గొప్ప నాదమును చేసెను. దానిని విన్న వారి చెవులు పగిలినవి(11). జలంధరాసురుని భయంకరమగు గొప్ప నాదముచే నిండిపోయిన జగత్తు అంతయు ఆ సమయములో కంపించెను (12). అపుడు విష్ణువునకు, ఆ రక్షసరాజునకు మధ్య గొప్ప యుద్ధము జరిగెను. వారు ఆకాశమునంతనూ లేశ##మైననూ అవకాశము లేని విధముగా బాణములతో నింపి వేసిరి (13). ఓ మహర్షీ! వారి ద్వంద్వయుద్ధమును గాంచిన దేవతలు, రాక్షసులు, మహర్షులు, సిద్ధులు సరమాశ్చర్యమును పొందిరి (14).

On seeing the Asuras afflicted by the gusts of wind Jalandhara the great Asura became furious and terrified all the gods.

Seeing Viṣṇu suppressing and pounding the Asuras, the lips of the heroic Asura throbbed and he rushed at Viṣṇu to fight with him.

The king of Asuras shouted and roared terrifying both the gods and the Asuras. On hearing it, the ears became pierced.

The entire universe, filled with the terrible shouts of the Asura Jalandhara, quaked.

Then a great battle ensued between Viṣṇu and Jalandhara, the ruler of Asuras, both filling up the sky with their arrows.

O sage, gods, Asuras, sages and the Siddhas were very much surprised at the terrible mutual clash between the two.

🕉  Why do we hold back? There is some fear that if we don't hold back, if we give all, then we have nothing else to give. So we give only in parts.  We want to remain mysterious. 🕉

When you don't allow the other to enter into your whole being and know it totally, it is because of the fear that once the other knows you totally he or she may become disinterested. You keep a few corners of yourself aloof so that the other goes on wondering, "What are those corners? What more do you have give?" And the other goes on searching and seeking and persuading and seducing…. And in the same way, the other is also holding back. There is some animal understanding behind it that once the mystery is known, the thing is finished. We love the mystery, we love the unknown. When it is known, mapped, and measured, it is finished! Then what else is there? The adventuring mind will start thinking of  other thing, other issue.

They have looked into many things and finished! Now the thing has no soul because the mystery is no longer here-and the soul exists in mystery. This is the logic in it. But when you are truly independent, and you are surrendered to the god of love, then you can open yourself totally. And in that very opening you become one with God. When people are open, they are no longer two. When the walls disappear, the room is one. And that is where the fulfillment is. That's what every divine lover is seeking for, searching for, hankering after, dreaming about, desiring. But not understanding rightly, you can go on seeking and searching in a wrong direction.

Who are Pancha brahmas' and Why are they called so? In the Lalitha sahasranama,(the thousand names of Lalitha tripura Sundari), one of the names is "Pancha Brahmasana sthitha". The above name translates to the one who sits on five brahmas. Pancha-Brahmans are the five fold manifestation of Lord Shiva and are named as Sadyojata, Tatpurusha, Aghora, Vamadeva and Ishana. Each five manifestations further manifest as five deities which are as Brahma from Sadyojata, Vishnu from Vamadeva, Rudra from Aghora, Maheswara from Tatpurusha and SadaShiva from Ishana. Thus the primary Pancha Brahmas are: ➡➡Sadyojata, Vamadeva, Aghora, Tatpurusha, Ishana. The secondary Pancha Brahmas which manifest from above primary Pancha Brahmas are: ➡➡ Brahma, Vishnu, Rudra, Maheswara, SadaShiva. తాత్పర్యము : సకల ప్రాణులలో అంతర్యామిగా ఉన్నవాడు పరమేశ్వరుడే. మోహవశమున (అజ్ఞానముచే) ఈ విషయమును మరచి, ప్రాణులయెడ ఉపేక్షాభావము వహించుచు, కేవలము దైవము యొక్క అర్చా మూర్తిని సేవించుట బూడిదలో హోమము చేయుటవంటిది.

వ్యాఖ్య : నేను అందరిలో ఉన్నా అన్న సంగతి మరచిపోయి "నాకు మాత్రమే ఆరాధనార్హత ఉంది. నేను మాత్రమే భగవానుని పొందుతాను" అంటారు. అర్చావతారముండాలి, కానీ భాగవతోత్తములని అవమానించే భగవదారాధన చేయాలి. ఒకవేళ భగవదారాధనలో ఆచార్యులు వస్తే, భగవదారాధన ఆపి, ఆచార్యులని ఆరాధించాలి. అది పూజ ఆపినట్లు కాదు. భాగవతారాధన కూడా భగవదారాధనలో భాగమే. అది తెలుసుకోని వారి పూజ, అగ్నిహోత్రములో వేసిన బూడిద లాంటిది.

🌴 5. Form of Bhakti - Glory of Time - 22 🌴

22. yo māṁ sarveṣu bhūteṣu santam ātmānam īśvaram hitvārcāṁ bhajate mauḍhyād bhasmany eva juhoti saḥ

MEANING : One who worships the Deity of Godhead in the temples but does not know that the Supreme Lord, as Paramātmā, is situated in every living entity's heart, must be in ignorance and is compared to one who offers oblations into ashes.

PURPORT : It is stated clearly herein that the Supreme Personality of Godhead, in His plenary expansion of Supersoul, is present in all living entities. The living entities have 8,400,000 different kinds of bodies, and the Supreme Personality of Godhead is living in every body both as the individual soul and as the Supersoul. Since the individual soul is part and parcel of the Supreme Lord, in that sense the Lord is living in every body, and, as Supersoul, the Lord is also present as a witness. In both cases the presence of God in every living entity is essential. Therefore persons who profess to belong to some religious sect but who do not feel the presence of the Supreme Personality of Godhead in every living entity, and everywhere else, are in the mode of ignorance. If, without this preliminary knowledge of the Lord's omnipresence, one simply attaches himself to the rituals in a temple, church or mosque, it is as if he were offering butter into ashes rather than into the fire. One offers sacrifices by pouring clarified butter into a fire and chanting Vedic mantras, but even if there are Vedic mantras and all conditions are favorable, if the clarified butter is poured on ashes, then such a sacrifice will be useless.

ఓం మహాగర్తాయ నమః | ॐ महागर्ताय नमः | OM Mahāgartāya namaḥ

గర్తవదస్య మహతీ మాయా విష్ణోర్దురత్యయా । ఇతి సోఽయం మహాగర్త ఇతి సఙ్కీర్త్యతే బుధైః ॥ మాయా దురత్యయేతి శ్రీకృష్ణేన స్వయమీరణాత్ । నైరుక్తైర్వా గర్తశబ్దో రథపర్యాయ ఇష్యతే ॥ మహారథో మహాగర్త ఇతి తస్మాత్‍స ఉచ్యతే । అస్య మహార్థత్వం తు ప్రసిద్ధం భారతాదిషు ॥

గోయి వలె మిగుల లోతయినది, చాల పెద్దది అగు మాయ ఎవ్వనిదియో అట్టివాడు. 'మమ మాయా దురత్యయ' (భగవద్గీత 7.14) - నా మాయ దాటరానిది అను భగవద్వచనము ఇట ప్రమాణముగా గ్రహించబడగియున్నది. లేదా 'గర్త' శబ్దమునకు 'రథము' అను అర్థము కలదని నిరుక్త కారులు చెప్పియున్నారు. అందువలన గొప్పదియగు రథము ఎవనికి కలదో అట్టివాడు. ఈతడు అట్టి మహారథము కల వీరుడను విషయము భారతాదులయందు ప్రసిద్దమే.

OM Mahāgartāya namaḥ

गर्तवदस्य महती माया विष्णोर्दुरत्यया । इति सोऽयं महागर्त इति सङ्कीर्त्यते बुधैः ॥ माया दुरत्ययेति श्रीकृष्णेन स्वयमीरणात् । नैरुक्तैर्वा गर्तशब्दो रथपर्याय इष्यते ॥ महारथो महागर्त इति तस्मात्‍स उच्यते । अस्य महार्थत्वं तु प्रसिद्धं भारतादिषु ॥

Gartavadasya mahatī māyā viṣṇorduratyayā, Iti so’yaṃ mahāgarta iti saṅkīrtyate budhaiḥ. Māyā duratyayeti śrīkr‌ṣṇena svayamīraṇāt, Nairuktairvā gartaśabdo rathaparyāya iṣyate. Mahāratho mahāgarta iti tasmātˈsa ucyate, Asya mahārthatvaṃ tu prasiddhaṃ bhāratādiṣu.

Like a great chasm, His māya or illusionary force is difficult to get over. So, He is Mahāgartaḥ vide the Lord's assertion

'मम माया दुरत्यय / Mama māyā duratyaya' (Bhagavadgīta 7.14) - My māya is difficult to get over.

Lexicographers say that garta is a synonym of ratha or chariot. So Mahāgartaḥ means Mahārathah - a great charioteer. That He is a great charioteer is celebrated in the great epic Mahābhārata and other works. Mahārathah is the highest distinction of the general of an army.

సనత్కుమారుడిట్లు పలికెను - అపుడు మహావీరులగు రాక్షసులు భయముతో కల్లోలపడిన మనస్సు గల దేవతల నందరినీ శూలములతో, గొడ్డళ్లతో, పట్టిశములతో హింసించ మొదలిడిరి (1). రాక్షసుల ఆయుదములచే కొట్టబడిన దేహములు గల ఇంద్రాది దేవతలు అందరు భయముచే కల్లోల పడిన మనస్సులు గలవారై యుద్ధరంగమునుండి పరుగులెత్తిరి (2). ఇంద్రియములకు ప్రభువగు విష్ణువు పారిపోవుచున్న దేవతలను గాంచి గరుడుని అధిష్ఠించిన వాడై వెంటనే యుద్ధమునకు ముందునకురికెను (3). భక్తులకు అభయమునిచ్చు విష్ణువు అంతటా ప్రకాశించే కాంతులు గల సుదర్శన చక్రముతో విరాజిల్లు, పద్మము వంటి హస్తము గలవాడై ప్రకాశించెను (4).

శంఖమును, ఖడ్గమును, గదను, శార్‌ఙ్గమను ధనస్సును ధరించిన వాడు, బయంకరమగు అస్త్రములు గలవాడు, మహావీరుడు, అన్ని విధముల యుద్ధమునందు నిపుణుడు అగు విష్ణువు మిక్కిలి కోపించెను (5). విష్ణువు శార్‌ఙ్గధనస్సుపై బాణము నెక్కుపెట్టి సింహనాదమును చేసెను. ఓ మునీ! ఆ గొప్ప నాదముచు ముల్లోకములు నిండెను (6). దుఃఖముచే కల్లోలమైన మనస్సు గల విష్ణుభగవానుడు శారఞ్గధనస్సు నుండి బయల్వెడలిన బానములతో కోట్ల సంఖ్యలో రాక్షసుల తలలు తెగవేసెను (7).

Sanatkumāra said:—

Then the heroic Asuras hit and struck the gods distressed and terrified, with the spears, axes and clubs.

With their bodies cut and pierced by the weapons of the Asuras, the gods including Indra became distressed in mind by fear and they fled from the battle.

On seeing the gods fleeing, Viṣṇu hastened to the battle ground seated on his vehicle Garuḍa.

By means of his discus Sudarśana he diffused his splendour all round. He shone with the brilliant lotus in his hand and offered fearlessness to his devotees.

Holding the conch, sword, mace and the bow, the heroic deity was very furious. He was efficient in the battle using fierce weapons.

He produced the twanging sound from his bow and roared aloud. O sage, all the three worlds were filled with its loud sound.

The lord Viṣṇu who was highly infuriated cut off the heads of countless Asuras by means of the arrows discharged from his bow.

🕉  Whatever you do, just do it as totally as possible. if you enjoy walking, good! if suddenly "you realize that you no longer have the urge or desire to move, then sit down immediately; not even a single step should be taken against your will. 🕉

Whatever happens, accept and enjoy it; and don't force anything. If you feel like talking, talk. If you feel like being silent, be silent just move with the feeling. Don't force in any way, not even for a single moment, because once you force anything you are divided in twoand that creates the problem, then your whole life becomes split. The whole of humanity has become almost schizophrenic, because we have been taught to force, things.

The part that wants to laugh and the part that doesn't allow you to laugh become separate, and then you are divided. You create a top dog and an underdog, so there is conflict. The rift that the conflict creates can become bigger and bigger and bigger. So the problem is how to bridge that rift, and how not to create it anymore. In Zen they have a very beautiful saying: Sitting, just sit. Walking, just walk. Above all, don't wobble.

ఆరోహణ క్రమమున మరల స్థూలము నుండి సూక్ష్మమునకు పరిణామము చెందుచుండును.  ఆవిరి నీరు అగుట, నీరు మంచుగడ్డ అగుట, మరల మంచుగడ్డ నీరగుట, నీరు ఆవిరి యగుటగా ప్రకృతి సూక్ష్మము నుండి స్థూలమునకు, స్థూలము నుండి సూక్ష్మమునకు మార్పు చెందుచుండును. జీవులు దేహధారణము చేయుటకు ముందు సూక్ష్మరూపులే. దేహధారణమున స్థూల రూపులగుదురు. మరల స్థూల దేహముల నుండి సూక్ష్మమునకు చనుచుందురు. జీవునకు స్థూలదేహము విడచుటయే యుండును గాని మరణించుట యుండదు. అట్లే నిజమునకు జన్మించుట కూడ యుండును. ఇట్టి జీవ రూపములు కూడ శ్రీమాతయే.  శ్రీమాత చేయు ఏడు లోకముల సృష్టిని స్థూలముగను, స్థూల సృష్టిగాను, సూక్ష్మ సృష్టిగను, కారణ సృష్టిగను, తదతీతమైన స్థితిగను జ్ఞానులు దర్శింతురు. సూక్ష్మము, స్థూలమున కాధారము. ఒక పాదము స్థూలమై యుండగ మూడు పాదములు దివ్యమై అమృతమై యున్నవని పురుష సూక్తము కీర్తించును.

In the ascending order it again evolves from the gross to the subtle. Steam turns into water, water turns into ice, ice turns into water, water turns into steam, and nature changes from the gross to the subtle, from the subtle to the gross. Living beings are subtle forms before taking on a body. They take a gross body when they take form. They again move from the gross bodies to the subtle. A living being has the concept of leaving a gross body but does not have death. In the same way, there is no birth either. These living forms are also Sri Mata. The creation of the seven worlds by Srimata is seen by the sages as gross, the gross creation, the subtle creation, the causal creation and the transcendent state. Subtle is dependency for the gross. The Purusha sukta extols that one foot is gross while three feet are divine and eternal.
