#PleinAirpril Day 12/30 “Pitcher Pond, Linconville, Maine” gouache on paper 4”x6” With warm weather on the horizon and the world opening up again, I have my heart set on getting back into nature with some camping again, and this serene scene taken at sunset on Pitcher Pond in Maine taken by my uncle really gets my imagination going. This pond (lake) is known for its loons and painted turtles, and is a favorite canoeing, kayaking, and swimming hole for the locals. After hearing stories of almost unbelievable animal encounters and seeing beautiful photographs coming back from my cousins’ home up there, Maine sits high on my lists of places to visit. This is the twelfth painting of an intensive thirty day painting challenge hosted by the @warriorpainters.
