Upcoming Monster High movie, I will doubtlessly love and hate you in equal measure out of nostalgia. Not sure why I feel the need to post this but here we are.

First off, if they’re going to break up Cleo and Deuce, even temporarily, or wait to have them get together, it should be because Deuce is a rebellious punk and Cleo is a spoiled and entitled trust fund baby…I’d still have them get together after some character growth though

No more emo softboy makeovers of beloved lighthearted characters. If they wanted a Cole Spruce style emo softboy they should have brought in Jackson or Invisabilly or something, not Deuce

If they didn’t want to make Lagoona look like a fish all the time then there should be an explanation that she uses magic to take on a more human physiology so that she can breathe air (which is why she doesn’t have to wear a suit like Gil’s) then let us see her true form sometimes

Similarly it probably would look better if they’d either A) gone for animation or B) made weird skin tones (like Frankie’s green or poor Heath’s orange) more subtle

Animation is probably the only way to give Deuce actual snake hair too…

Where the heck did this whole “Draculaura secretly uses MAGIC which is something people DISAPPROVE OF because it’s a HUMAN thing” come from? I mean many monsters were originally human or are still arguably human (Operetta, for example), magic seems like one of the only things they’d be encouraged to carry over from human society…also, part of Cleo’s religion and power set as an ancient Egyptian mummy???
