Winter Garden, known for its charming historic downtown and thriving community, often sees a flurry of activity that necessitates efficient waste management solutions. Dumpster rentals are the backbone for maintaining cleanliness and efficiency, whether for a single-day event or a long-term construction project.
When considering a dumpster rental, the first step is to evaluate the scope of your project. Understanding the nature and volume of waste you anticipate will guide you in choosing the right service provider. While this guide won’t delve into specifics like sizes and pricing, focusing on the type of material, you’ll dispose of, and the duration you’ll need for the rental can help streamline the process.
Next, it’s crucial to understand local regulations in Winter Garden. The city has specific guidelines on where dumpsters can be placed and how long they can remain on-site. Typically, permits are required if the dumpster is placed in a public area or street. Contacting the Winter Garden city office or consulting with your chosen rental company can provide clarity and ensure compliance with local ordinances.
Choosing the right rental company is also pivotal. Look for providers with local solid reputations and positive customer feedback. These companies offer more reliable service and can accommodate specific needs or challenges, such as limited space or fast turnaround times.

Went to the store to buy a lemonade because The Evil Twin was driving me up the wall & there were these poor shmucks from The Nature Conservancy trying to solicit memberships, and while I did not sign up for one because I can subscribe to a twitch streamer for 1/5th the cost & it will have approximately the same effect on the environment, I did talk their ears off about how if we really want to help the planet we need to start with putting every rich business person on a plane, and then we put that plane in the air, and then we put that plane not in the air anymore, and then

Here is my revised request lol
Where it's a one-sided love/crush with yushiro, mitsuri, Obana, and Lady Tamayo, how the reader wishes them all the best but also just wants them. If there is even a sliver of chance for them to return their one-side love. If you feel like it, maybe they might have someone who is helping them move on from the one side love?
Get ready for this to hurt.
And if you’re in love, then you are the lucky one.

FT. Yushiro, Kanroji Mitsuri, Iguro Obanai, and Lady Tamayo. Gender Neutral reader.
WARNINGS: Angsty as hell. I drew the title from the song Youth by Daughter. Some reciprocation in Obanai’s. I also hope I did Yushiro justice. I’ve never written for him before. Um pretty emotional overall. Don’t forget to put on your sad music while reading this. These are going to be pretty long. Some were very obviously cut short due to how long they were getting, for that, I apologize. Please bear with me 😭

YUSHIRO
Each day you awoke longing for a purpose, and every time the day failed you. It wasn’t until you caught wind of the Demon Slayer Corps that things finally started to look up. It seemed perfect. You’d undergo training and then participate in a simple survival event. Of course, it wasn’t as easy as it sounded. The training you underwent was harsh, and the final selection was even worse. Each time the sun set you feared for your life until you remembered that this was the challenge that you had been waiting for. You claimed it to be your calling, despite not being very good at it.
When it was all said and done, you picked the metal for your weapon and went about your business. There had only been one other person to make it out of the selection alive. You remember being surprised. How could so many people have trained so hard only to lose their lives? One would have thought that they would have been properly prepared before entering the challenge. Though, you were hardly prepared yourself. It was nothing but sheer luck that kept you alive, and you were more than grateful.
It wasn’t long before your crow had begun to send you all over to complete missions. Each demon you encountered seemed to be much stronger than the last, a thought that frightened you. With each one you killed, you felt yourself growing more powerful. Your breathing techniques were perfect, it was just your lack of physical strength that caused you to struggle. But you weren’t too worried about it. If you had been able to take down the ones before, then there was nothing stopping you from taking down the one now, right?
Right?
That’s what you thought when you chased the lower rank six of the Twelve Kizuki into a corner. You were sure that it had nowhere else to go, which would ensure that you’d be able to kill it and move on to the next place. You were sure that if your stance was just right, then you’d be able to land the perfect blow and come out victorious. But you were wrong.
The demon wasted no time freeing itself of your presence before appearing behind you suddenly. Your heart had dropped, leaving you with nothing to do but hope that a fellow demon slayer would sense your distress and come to your aid. Unfortunately, that was not the case.
The foul beast beat you within an inch of your life, leaving you to drown in your own blood. You cried as you lay there, unable to move. Your life had been short, but you were willing to accept it as it was and move on to the next one. Everything faded to black slowly, and you heard the sound of oxides speaking over you as you lost consciousness. You recalled smiling at the sound. They sounded like angels.
Approximately three days later, you awoke. You didn’t recognize the room you were in, which put you in edge. Bandages covered numerous wounds scattered across your body, an observation that led to you noticing your uniform top was missing. Thankfully you still had the bottoms on, or else you would’ve felt incredibly uncomfortable. You groaned in pain as you sat up. Your head was spinning.
“We thought you wouldn’t make it.” A gentle, feminine voice spoke. You turned to look at the speaker, your eyes landing on the most beautiful woman you had ever seen. Her skin was pale and glossy, her eyes an alluring shade of purple. She was elegant. She was an angel. Behind her stood a slightly shorter man. While he too was beautiful, you noticed that he looked far from pleased at your survival. The woman saw you avert your gaze and followed it, giving the man a stern look before turning back to you. “You may call me Tamayo,” she paused, “and he is Yushiro. Would you mind telling us about yourself, demon slayer?”
“How do you know I’m a…” you trailed off and sighed. Of course. They must be demon slayers themselves if they recognized your uniform. “I don’t really have anything notable to say about myself. I joined the Demon Slayer Corps in hopes of being able to do something with my life. Before that it’s all mundane,” you frowned and swung your legs over the side of the bed. You winced as your feet hit the floor. If only you had died. You would’ve spared these people the trouble of looking after you. You met Tamayo’s gaze. “Are you affiliated with the Corps?”
She hesitated, stuttering slightly before simply smiling at you. “Why don’t you join us out here for some tea,” she suggested. Her response confused you, but you nodded nonetheless. She and Yushiro left, giving you some time to explore the room you were in. Your uniform top was folded neatly atop a nearby chair. You reached out and grabbed it. The thing must’ve been torn to shreds by that demon, seeing as there were many different colored patches decorating it. You sighed and slipped it on over your head.
Your body ached with each move you made, yet you persisted. Slowly, you made it out of the room and into the hallway. You followed the sounds of voices to an open room that appeared to be the main room. Tamayo had her hands folded neatly in her lap as she spoke to Yushiro, who had his legs crossed and his hands resting on his knees. He gave you a disgusted look before continuing his chat with Tamayo.
Hesitantly, you sat down with them, resting your legs neatly to the side. Tamayo turned to look at you before taking a deep breath. “You asked us if we were affiliated with the Corps in any way. To tell you the truth, we are. We know of them and they know of us.” Yushiro scoffed. “But we ourselves are not demon slayers. We are demons that exist freely of Muzan Kibutsuji’s control.” Your eyes widened. You had no clue that such a thing was possible. “We mean you no harm, truly. Our goals align with those of the Demon Slayer Corps.”
She gave you a second to process the information. You had so many questions, but you feared being rude. Sensing this, she gestured for you to go on. “How did you break free of his curse?” You were immediately answered by an annoyed sigh from Yushiro.
“Such a foolish question! Do not ask Lady Tamayo such things!” He glared at you.
“Yushiro. It is only right for them to ask questions. Don’t shun them,” she paused, mulling over her next words. “I spent many years trying to free myself of Muzan’s control. But it wasn’t until I was spared by a very kind man that I was freed. Since then, I have dedicated my life to the study of both demon and human biology,” she hung her head slightly, averting her gaze. You could tell by her tone that she was thankful to have been spared. It nearly brought tears to your eyes.
“What about Yushiro? Was he not a servant of Muzan too?” You asked slowly, tilting your head. Yushiro crossed his arms and looked away, biting his tongue to avoid making Tamayo upset.
“Ah… Yushiro. He had a chronic illness that kept him bedridden for years. His condition would worsen each day I was taking care of him. He was practically dying before my eyes. I gave him the choice to go on living that way, or to be cured and live longer as a demon. There weren’t any promises I could make him about the treatment’s effectiveness, but I couldn’t bear to watch him suffer.” You listened in awe. She was so sweet, and you thought that it was the most amazing thing.
“So you…” were a human. You looked at Yushiro. These two beings before you had rejected their existences as demons and chose to aid humans instead. It really was quite wonderful. “You two… are amazing.” Tamayo’s eyes widened at your words. She seems taken aback by your honesty. Yushiro seemed equally as stunned, his eyes briefly looking over at you. After all, it was rare that they weren’t treated like the monsters that they were.
“Why… thank you.” Tamayo smiled softly, a light hearted expression gracing her features.
Over time you began to heal. The everlasting soreness in your body had finally begun to fade, which allowed you to help out around the house. Tamayo had gone out and bought you a casual yukata so you wouldn’t constantly be in your uniform. You wore it whenever it was clean to show her how much you appreciated it. Oh she was so sweet to you. Yushiro too. Since the time you had first joined them, he had really warmed up to your being there.
The two of you would often go out together and pick herbs for Tamayo. He knew all of the right places to look, and how to tell if what he was looking for was ripe or not. You admired his knowledge on the topic, often remarking on his experience when you were out. Every now and then he’d show you what you should look for, but you were mainly just there to provide some form of protection if the need arose. Not that you didn’t think he was capable of protecting himself— it’s just that Tamayo stated that it would be better if you went out and kept watch for him.
This time was just like the last, but only in the sense that you were on the lookout for other demons while he was working. It seemed that recently your feelings toward him had changed. He had grown close enough to you to tell you about his feelings for Tamayo, and you had grown close enough to him to realize that you had fallen for him. It wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. It just made things a little awkward for you.
“Here. Hold this,” he huffed as he shoved an armful of the plants into your arms. “Lady Tamayo said that she needed a lot this time,” he mumbled to himself. You nodded with a sigh. He admired her so much, and she only saw him as a friend. It was comical when you didn’t think about the pain that it caused him. In many ways, you and him were similar. But you knew he didn’t want to compare himself to a mortal being such as yourself.
“What else did she say she needed?” You asked, peering over the heap of herbs in your arms to look at him. He had frozen in place, his eyes narrowed. “What is it?” You whispered, now on edge. Instinctively, you reached out for your sword, dropping the herbs in the process.
In the blink of an eye, Yushiro pushed you to the side and blocked an attack from the demon that he had assumed was following you through the forest. He groaned as he fought it off, wincing at the relentless assault. You quickly rose to your feet, katana in hand, and leaped at the monster. You managed to cut its head off with one swift movement.
“Are you alright?” He asked, quickly turning to look at you. His hands grasped your cheeks, moving your face around to see if you were hurt in any way. The action caused your face to flush. Yushiro noticed that your face had gotten slightly warmer, taking his hands away and giving you a confused look before turning and picking up the herbs.
“Can I… tell you something?” You asked slowly, attempting to aid him. He moved away from you and muttered a sharp ‘no’.
The walk home was spent in awkward silence. Maybe he’d realized how you felt about him. Maybe not. You weren’t sure, and it bothered you horribly. He kept his distance from you, his head turned so he wouldn’t have an opportunity to glance at you. It broke your heart. In such a short amount of time, he had begun to mean everything to you, and yet, you were nothing. He’d push you to the side and focus on Tamayo, you were sure.
And you were right. In the days following that little incident, he avoided you. He went out by himself everywhere and hardly spoke to you when he passed by. It pained you more than you had thought, seeing as Tamayo could sense your hurt. She sighed as she stood outside of your room. Emotions to her were like a wavelength that she could visualize. What you were feeling was strong enough to suffocate her. It only made her worry about you.
“Can I come in?” She asked slowly, knocking gently on the door. You mumbled a response and she walked in. “Is everything between you and Yushiro alright?” She sat down next to you on your bed, her concerned eyes meeting yours.
“Yeah. Everything’s fine. We just ran into a demon the other day, so it’s got him shaken,” you frowned, turning your head away from her. You could feel your lip quiver. Just thinking about it made your heart ache. After a few more seconds of sitting there, you sighed. There was a possibility that she could help you through your emotions. You turned back to face her, your tone slightly wistful. “I think I love him, Tamayo. There’s no realistic way for me to tell him or even be with him because he’s not human, but I feel so strongly for him in a way that I’ve never felt about anyone before…” you hung your head.
“I see…” she trailed off. There wasn’t really any form of advice she could offer you and she felt bad. “Don’t fault him for not knowing his emotions well enough to properly respond. He may not fully come around, but he will want to start being around you again,” she placed a gentle hand on your shoulder. “Just give it time.” You nodded, biting the inside of your cheek as you thought.
Just give it time.
But you didn’t have the time he did. You were doomed to die much sooner than he could ever dream of.
Tamayo left you alone with your thoughts. Of course you wanted to listen to her, but you knew it would be best if you didn’t. There was no sense in waiting when he had his heart set on Tamayo. And that hurt you more than anything. You laid back onto your bed, frowning.
Just give it time.
MITSURI
For years you had been a hashira alongside Mitsuri. Rengoku had trained you both when you joined the corps, but even then you had known her prior to serving in the corps. The whole reason you became a demon slayer was because she wanted to. She just didn’t want to go through it alone, which was fair. While Rengoku had taught you his breathing technique, neither you nor Mitsuri had resonated strongly with it. You made the choice to invent your own technique called ‘ice breathing,’ and she followed suit. Together, you made your way up the ranks and became hashiras.
It seemed that you did everything together.
If she were assigned a mission, she’d drag you along with her. If she wanted to go out to town, then she’d ask you if you wanted to go. Even your estates were in the same village. You really just couldn’t escape her.
It didn’t bother you much though. She was your friend, after all.
But you couldn’t help but want more. You had wanted more with her for such a long time you felt you were beginning to lose your mind.
There had been many times where you had gotten her alone to confess, but each time was interrupted by her crow calling her out to take care of something. Each of the hashira could see that you had fallen for Mitsuri, with the exception of Obanai. He had steered clear of everyone as soon as he gained the title of hashira. You on the other hand, had not. Tengen had been a good friend of yours outside of Mitsuri.
Actually, he had been the one talking you through the whole process. He claimed that since he had three wives, he was the right guy to ask. Because of this, you found yourself in many odd situations in the name of love. Unfortunately, Mitsuri just didn’t notice. She had always been told that she was undesirable because of her appearance, and yet, she was the most beautiful woman you’d ever seen.
You had a plan this time. A plan that was slightly guaranteed to work. Even if it didn’t work in your favor, it’d still work. You’d get her alone under the stars and propose. Yes, propose. Marriage amongst hashira wasn’t really accepted, due to the circumstances of the title, but no one had to know. As long as you had her you’d be happy.
“So what’re you going to do when you get her alone?” Tengen asked, attempting to lift up your spirits. He’d promised to keep the whole thing a secret, which you’d greatly appreciated. You couldn’t have been more thankful for his help. Especially now that you were so in need of it.
“I’m going to take her hands, look into her eyes and tell her how I feel!” You nodded, your expression serious. All of this seemed rather silly, but his enthusiasm was making you feel better.
“That’s right! And what’s she going to do?” He wrapped a large, beefy arm around your shoulder, pulling you close to him with a grin. You chuckled and pushed him away.
“Yes!” You paused, looking away in embarrassment. “This feels stupid,” you sighed, shaking your head. “Why are we doing this again?”
“We’re doing this so you won’t back out at the last minute,” he raised a brow as he looked at you. His hands landed on his hips. Why was this grown man full of such sassiness? You rolled your eyes.
“I’m not going to back out!” You argued, but to no avail. Tengen mocked you with his hand, a smirk growing on his lips.
“I mean, if it doesn’t work out you can always marry me,” the taller man spit out nonchalantly. His words caused you to choke on air. You gave him a look, feigning disgust as you stared at him.
“Yeah no, I’ll pass,” you shuddered at the thought.
“I’m just saying.”
You sighed once more, looking out at the scenery. The sun was beginning to set, which meant that you would soon be alone with Mitsuri. The thought both scared and excited you. After all, you’d finally get the chance to tell her a secret that you’ve kept for so long. Even if she didn’t feel the same, at least you’d get the satisfaction that came with finally having your question answered.
The stars shined brightly overhead, perfectly visible from the tree you had chosen to sit under. Mitsuri would be arriving any moment now. Any moment. Your heart rate only increased as the seconds passed. Tonight was different from all of your other attempts, but only in the sense that you were asking to be bound to her forever. Well, either way you’d be with her, but you wanted to be with her.
“There you are!” Your friend cheerily called out, grinning as she sat next to you. “I’m so sorry I was late! Iguro gifted me these pretty green socks and treated me to some sweets afterward! They were the most delicious sweets I’d ever had!” She giggled gleefully at the thought. “Oh if only you had been there! Did you know that Iguro is actually a sweetie? Oh he’s such a sweetie! And he’s cute, too! I had to refrain from blushing the whole time, it was so embarrassing!” She continued to giggle, trailing off when she remembered that it was you that had asked her to join you. Her face flushed and she looked up at the sky. “So how come you wanted to hang out all the way out here?”
You swallowed, hanging your head in shame. Of course. Obanai. Your heart ached as you sat next to her. She had said he was cute, but that didn’t mean anything, did it? She said that about everyone she liked. Your hands clutched your slayer uniform. This was foolish of you. There was no way you had thought that you stood a chance at getting with Mitsuri. It was almost laughable. You had no idea how Tengen entertained the idea for so long.
“Hello…?” She leaned forward and waved her hand in front of your face. The motion pulled you from your thoughts, causing you to jump slightly. “Ah! There’s my friend! I was starting to think I’d lost you!” She smiled widely and giggled once again.
“My apologies,” you forced a nervous chuckle, your face flushing a light shade of pink. Thankfully she didn’t notice. “I didn’t mean to zone out on you.” Your heart pounded. You needed to leave as soon as possible. You couldn’t bear to be around her in this moment. It was hurting you. “I actually had something I wanted to talk to you about—“
“Caw! Head west to the nearest town! Caw! Get moving! Get moving!” Mitsuri’s crow called out. Its raspy voice ruined the moment entirely, making you frown. Your friend rose to her feet quickly, giving you a sympathetic look.
“Would you like to join me?” She asked sweetly, but you declined. “Alright! I’m going to go find Iguro and see if he wants to go! I’ll see you later, friend!” You waved, giving her a soft smile as she ran off. As soon as she was no longer in your line of sight, you ran to find Tengen. He’d promised you that he’d stay in the area for your sake, a promise that you really hadn’t expected to see through.
You ran, your breathing heavy and your heart heavier. You cursed yourself mentally for being so stupid. Actually, you were mid swear when Tengen stumbled upon you.
“Woah there! I’m guessing that things didn’t go well?” You shot him a glare before simply breaking down. He took a step back, unsure of how to handle the situation. Of course he’s comforted people before, but that didn’t mean that things like this didn’t catch him off guard. After a few seconds of watching you cry in silence, he stepped forward and hugged you. In all actuality, he had thought that you had this in the bag. He really saw no reason as to why you wouldn’t.
You never really explained things to him until the next day, which even then you were reluctant to do. Of course he had told you that you should go out for it again, but you disagreed. Obanai made her giddy in a way that you felt you couldn’t, so you saw no point in competing.
Things would be easier if you just stayed her friend.
OBANAI
Days turned into weeks that turned into months. Soon those months would turn into years. You had been staying at the home of Shinobu Kocho for ages now due to an injury you had received while you were away on a mission. The demon had nearly taken off your arm, breaking several of your bones in the process. Thankfully, you were able to kill if before it could kill you, but it resulted in you calling for aid.
Only a handful of your fellow demon slayers had set aside time to visit you, including your close friend and fellow hashira Gyomei. Each time he visited you he wound up sobbing, praising you for your resilience and bravery. He cared a lot for you, and your recent incident had caused him to worry about you more than usual. He had even set aside missions to help Shinobu take care of you. He was a true friend.
Aside from him, only one other hashira had come to visit you. Iguro Obanai.
Obanai was someone that you didn’t really know all too well, despite both reaching the rank of hashira at the same time. You had always been friendly with him, of course, but it never really went farther than that. You thought of him as alluring and slightly mysterious. His silence intrigued you, as did his mask and his snake. He was an enigma in your eyes.
With your curiosity arose some issues. The deeper you dove into his history, the more you found yourself longing to get to know him. You couldn’t even think about him normally without getting slightly flustered, which upset you. After all, your feelings towards him were rooted in your curiosity, nothing more.
“How are you doing today, my friend?” Gyomei’s voice met your ears. He ducked as he entered the room, walking over and sitting on the chair next to your bed.
“Not too bad, actually,” you grinned, “I was able to walk around the corridor earlier! You should’ve been there! I didn’t even need help standing!” You chuckled softly and Gyomei smiled softly. Tears began to slide down his cheeks as he faced you.
“You are so strong! I’m so happy for you!” He clasped his hands together, tilting his head back dramatically. You rolled your eyes, smiling. “I hope that you continue to do well!” Your smile only grew at his enthusiasm. He was sweet, that was for sure.
“Gyomei, I’ve got a question for you,” you asked slowly, waiting for him to calm down some.
“What is it, dear friend?”
You shifted in your bed, suddenly feeling nervous. “What do you know about Obanai? I know it’s odd, but I can’t help but be curious. I don’t really know too much about him. Though, now that I think about it, you probably don’t either. He doesn’t talk much,” you sigh, chuckling softly. He was confusing, that much was true.
“I know only what I’ve been told,” your friend paused, “which is very little. I’m apologize, friend,” he rose to his feet, his hands still clasped together. “I will make time to visit you again next week. I cannot wait to see how much better you are doing then!” He smiled once more before leaving.
Your time alone was brief. The door closed, only to open again, revealing the man that you had just asked about. All you could do was offer him a smile. He walked forward some and sat, looking at you for a few seconds before audibly taking a deep breath.
“How are you?” He asked bluntly. The snake around his neck eyed you, its tongue reaching in your direction.
“I’m just as good as I was yesterday,” you tease but he doesn’t react. Talking to him is like talking to a rock. “They had me walking down the hallway earlier, which means that I should be doing more by the end of the week, though, it just depends on what Shinobu has to say about my condition.” You smiled. He was really good at getting you to ramble so he could avoid conversation. You found it funny, in a way. He’d rather listen to you speak than have to talk.
“Here, I brought you this,” he reached forward, revealing a brand new haori. You gasped at the sight. It looked just like the one you had lost when you got injured. Grinning, you took it from his hands and held it in the air to get a better look. Its resemblance to your old one was impressive. You hugged it and giggled.
“How did you get this?” You look up at him. His face looks slightly flushed, but you think nothing of it.
“I heard that you didn’t have your old one anymore. I know a seamstress in the town over, so I commissioned her to make you a new one.” He wasn’t about to tell you that he had memorized the patterns from observing you so often. No, that sounded weird. He was hoping that you wouldn’t question him any further.
“Thank you, Obanai. I really appreciate your gift.” You looked down at the haori, playing with the fabric between your fingers. Hopefully you’d be able to wear it soon.
After that, Obanai began to miss days. Once he had come in with Mitsuri, which hurt you to see. They looked happy together, so you couldn’t really be too upset, but it did bother you some. Each time he stopped by, he seemed to be less talkative than before, which you didn’t know could happen. With each day he missed, you seemed to be getting better. Within a week, you were able to go out on small missions in the nearest town. A few days after that, you were finally back to your regular routine.
Shinobu had discharged you from her infirmary, which meant that you finally got to return to your own estate. With everything going on, you had yet to stop and check in with Gyomei. You felt bad about it, but you couldn’t just skip out on these missions. There had been so much in your area that you hadn’t been able to take care of, and you needed to get to work on it.
“Caw! Head east, head east! Caw!” Your crow’s cries echoed into the air. Its shrill voice never failed to make you cringe. “Dangerous! Backup will be there! Caw!” You sighed and continued on. Hopefully it would be Gyomei.
You reached the area, looking out at the dark forest that threatened you. You couldn’t help but wonder what had hidden itself in there that was considered dangerous enough for you, a hashira, to need backup.
The sound of footsteps caused you to draw your blade, pointing its edge at the culprit. Obanai didn’t even jump, looking at you with his hetrochromatic eyes. He seemed surprised to see you already out in the field, wearing the haori he got you, no less. His face flushed slightly and he pushed past you, hoping you didn’t notice.
“Sorry about that. I’m a little on edge,” you admitted, sheathing your blade and catching up to him. “I didn’t know you were in the area.”
“Pure coincidence.”
“Right…” you eyed him before nodding. “So how’s everything back at the headquarters? I know you live relatively close to it. How are the others?”
“They’re all fine.”
“Gyomei too?”
“Gyomei too.” His tone got slightly more bitter at the mention of Gyomei, something that nearly went over your head. You froze, giving him a confused look.
“Do you not like Gyomei?” You tilted your head, your brows furrowing.
“I find him to be very respectable.” He paused. “… how do you feel about Mitsuri?” His question only confused you more.
“She’s a great slayer, and really sweet. I like her,” you caught up to him once again. “Why…?”
“Are you and Gyomei engaged?” He blurted out, turning to look at you. You were caught so off guard by his gaze that you took a step back.
“Of course not! He and I are just close friends! I thought everyone knew that.” Well clearly not everyone knew that. You cleared your throat, looking out around you for any signs of danger. Weird. You weren’t sensing anything. “What’s all of this about?”
“Nothing, I—“ he cut himself off, continuing on with his walk. He stopped again and turned back to face you. “Mitsuri and I aren’t engaged either.”
He turned back around, not wasting any time heading deeper into the forest. Your body was frozen in confusion. That whole interaction was weird. You shook it off and ran after him.
You couldn’t help but feel better now that you knew about him and Mitsuri, though. Yes it was weird, but it had bothered you since he had stopped coming around. Truth be told, you had fallen for him not long after he had begun his daily visits. The fact that he cared enough to give you his attention daily made you feel like you were special, and you liked that. Who wouldn’t?
Once he came back into sight, you slowed down, making sure he was aware that it was you instead of a demon. You rested your hand on the hilt of your katana, following him in silence. That’s how the rest of the mission was spent, in silence. The two of you never really found the supposed dangerous demon, but you didn’t mind. At least now you could rest easy knowing that you stood a slight chance with your fellow hashira.
LADY TAMAYO
For as long as you could remember, you had been under the care of Lady Tamayo and her assistant Yushiro. Your life prior to joining them was a memory that eluded you. No matter how hard you tried, you just couldn’t remember how you had met them. They had tried to explain it all to you before, but it never made sense. Demons? Demon slayers? It all sounded like a fairy tale.
Tamayo had entrusted you with taking care of the garden out behind the house, a duty you had accepted happily. You enjoyed watering the various herbs. Their lives were just as valuable as yours, and you made sure to treat them with as much tenderness as you could.
Every now and then Tamayo would come and help you, but that was rare. She usually spent her time inside, studying away at human biology. It interested you some, but you knew better than to interrupt her.
When Tamayo wasn’t available, you’d spend your time with Yushiro. He never really got a say in the matter, but thankfully he had learned to stop protesting a while ago. The two of you were walking down the streets of the town the house was hidden in. Despite it being late, there were many vendors that were still open. Their resilience intrigued you. You reached out and tugged on Yushiro’s sleeve, smiling softly.
“Do you think that Lady Tamayo would like this?” You asked, holding up an intricate painting of a woman looking at the moon. Yushiro looked at it, his eyes widening slightly. He was impressed by the strokes on the canvas. Tamayo was fond of art, so of course she would like it, but Yushiro didn’t want her to favor you more than she did him. He crossed his arms.
“Get it. But make sure to tell her that I helped you pick it out,” he said stubbornly before turning to walk once more.
Eagerly, you bought the painting, carrying it under your arm as you followed Yushiro. He stopped suddenly, holding his head in his hand. You recognized this behavior, grabbing his shoulder and leading him off to the side and sitting him down. He looked pale than usual, and you sighed.
“When was the last time you ate?” You asked, setting the painting to the side gently. The man only grunted in response, pouting as he avoided your concerned gaze.
“… last week…” he mumbled.
“Last week?! You know you’re not supposed to go that long without food!” You panicked and looked around. Nobody could see you. With a huff, you scooted towards him. “Listen, you can feed off of me just this once. It’s too risky to have you roaming the streets while starved,” you sighed, “you must’ve felt like you were going insane! Oh come here…” you pulled down the shoulder of your kimono, revealing more skin than you would’ve liked. Yushiro eyed you. The thought of eating even a bit of your flesh scared him. What if Tamayo found out? What would she think of him?
“Hurry up!” You whispered through your teeth, giving him a glare. He was taking way too long to make up his mind. Unfortunately, you didn’t have time. He sighed and leaned forward, taking a bite out of your skin.
About five minutes later, the two of you returned to the town. He seemed to be in a better mood now, which was good. You just couldn’t believe that he was walking around while hungry like that. Things would’ve been bad if he had snapped.
“Hey Yushiro?”
“What?”
“Do you think Lady Tamayo likes anyone?” You asked as you readjusted the painting. It was random, but you couldn’t help but be curious. His cheeks flushed a rosy pink and he sighed.
“I don’t think so. She’s too focused on doing her duties to set aside time for things like romance,” he frowned slightly as he spoke.
“Hey Yushiro?”
“What?”
“I think I like Lady Tamayo.” Your words made him choke on nothing. He hadn’t expected that in the slightest.
“You and me both…” he mumbled, leading you back to the house.
Tamayo loved the painting, choosing to hang it at the end of the hallway. Every time she saw you she made sure to thank you for the thoughtful present. Her compliments made you giddy, usually causing your face to flush a little.
You felt that your feelings for her only got stronger with each day that passed. Hell, you couldn’t even think of her without getting butterflies in your stomach. It was beginning to get in the way of your work. On times she’d come out to the garden to help you, you wouldn’t be able to speak. You were sure that if you said something, you’d butcher it so badly that you’d have to ask Yushiro to end your misery.
You sighed as you pulled another weed from the ground near the garden. The herbs were looking great, despite it being their off season. The luscious green plants surrounded you. They were nearly big enough to hide you completely, and you took great pride in that fact.
“Hey, are you ready to go out? Lady Tamayo said that she needed some time alone for a while.” Yushiro’s voice caused you to perk up. You nodded and gave him a smile.
“Hold on! I need to change real quick!” You stood up and went inside to your room. It didn’t take you long before you were standing in front of Yushiro, asking him what the plan was for tonight.
“Let’s stay in town.”
“Alright.”
There weren’t as many shops open tonight, unfortunately, so you and Yushiro just took to heading towards the park in the middle of the town. It was a small park, but that didn’t stop it from being beautiful. You sighed as you sat down onto the grass. A part of you wished to find another gift for Tamayo, but your options were limited.
You looked up at the moon, taking in its glory in silence before turning back to your friend.
“Does your love for Lady Tamayo ever cause you pain?” You asked.
“Sometimes.”
“Sometimes?”
“Yeah.”
A part of you understood what he meant. Sometimes she was so beautiful that it caused your heart to throb in agony. Maybe it was because you knew that she would never be yours. Either way, your giddy love for her was beginning to torment your weary soul. You didn’t enjoy being around her simply due to the fact that her sweet words wouldn’t fail to cause you some sort of pain.
“Yeah…” you repeated, sighing once more.

Kyojuro Rengoku with a Demon Exterminator from Hazbin Hotel
Tumblr media
• So uhh, just gotta rearrange this fic to fit the story.
• In this universe, the Exorcists are called Demon Exterminators who are equivalent to Demon Hunters. However, the difference is that the Exterminators are stray hunters. They don't kill to serve, they kill for fun. That's the reason Demon Hunters from the Corp. hate them because instead of joining the Demon Hunters, they wasted their talents by killing everything and everyone left and right. Some steal weapons from the Swordsmith Village, some made deals with the demons, and some even kill their fellow Exterminators... Just. For. Entertainment.
• That's why Kyojuro was VERY hesitant to go get you after the Master ordered him to. He has heard rumors of your wild and merciless killing but he's also curious to know what your kind really are... One of the Quintuplets, specifically Hinaki, explained that you are somewhat a close ally to the Corp. much like Lady Tamayo. So they sent him to ask you for help when the demons become stronger each passing night. Especially after Nezuko was given pardon.
• Why didn't they send a crow or Kakushi to find you? That's because you move and glide fast using your makeshift wings to go to a different location to another so your trail cannot be spotted by demon or human, plus you're very territorial and won't hesitate to slaughter those that might disturb your fun. The Master sent Kyojuro because he's a Hashira strong and fast enough to keep up with you and also annoyingly patient enough to go through your rough demeanor.
• You gotta feel bad for this guy cuz he's had a REALLY hard time tracking you down. You move from the mountains, the countryside, the red light district, and even the fucking city. Took him weeks to find you. WEEKS. He finally found you after he mistook your rambunctious exterminator faction as demons and followed them to your military base.
• You ordered your fellow Exterminators to let him in the base after he handed you a scroll containing requests and the Ubuyashiki family crest. You offered him food, at first he politely declined, but seeing how tired he is you insisted anyway. Your comrades are talking shit behind your back about how you let a loud rule-following pest into the base but you brush it off since you're used to it.
• After he explained you the requests of the Master, you reluctantly agreed and went on going to the Corp. with him, this time letting him borrow a pair of makeshift wings to fly there. Huh, well color him surprised, you are much more polite and generous than your comrades. The Hashiras were alert that you are here, standing before them, bowing and introducing yourself to the blind Master.
• They already don't like you considering your background but Kyojuro insisted that you are not as deranged and bloodthirsty as you seem... Until he let you accompany him and saw how you killed your enemies during the Mugen Train Arc. You are a fucking insane sociopathic killing machine that you made Nezuko look like a fangless puppy next to you. He has to remind you everytime to calm down or else you might kill one of the sleeping passengers or worse, the young trio.
• Other than the monstrosity you displayed, he finds you pretty chill. At least you take your training seriously and care for your comrades despite them disliking you. You are still pissed that Akaza nearly killed him though and became slightly protective of him. He finds that endearing. You are pretty glad that he's taken retirement after that incident and finally start a new life as a normal person. Every time he sees a black speck gliding in the sky or a black blur across the rooftops, he knows it's just you checking on him if he's ok and if his stomach wound is fully healed.

Requests open! Yay! I'd like to request a oneshot with Hantengu: reader, a human, ends up somehow protecting/saving the scared little guy (from the sun, perhaps?) and he is now Attached and kinda crushing, living in their house, and tries to make a move but is just way too scared. So he does what any good demon would do: gets bashful and rips his head off so his clones can make a move for him. Surprise now there's four guys with a Big Crush and they're not quite so cute about it anymore (not that reader complains). Hope this request finds you well and thanks for being super rad! ❤️
All For You [Hantengu X Reader]

Tumblr media Tumblr media
In such a terrifying battle, he hadn't realised that despite killing the hashira, they had stranded him in a field with no shade and the sun was just moments away. He could run, but he didn't have much power remaining, so all he could do was try.
Even as he cried and wailed, he could hear what he could only assume was another member of the corps catching up to him, taking advantage of how little he had left in him.
If he needed to, he could surely muster just one more strike-
He could feel a burning heat on his back, causing a squeal, before it all stopped, and two arms fell in front of him, which he ran into and fell back into the grass.
Whimpering, the upper-rank shielded his face, waiting for some kind of attack, only to hear the rigorous panting of the being that had caught him.
Shakily, his hands moved from his face, gazing up to see that someone was on their elbows and knees, shielding him from the sun.
"Aren't you supposed to be hidden from the sun?" A head dipped down, looking curiously at the small being. You were just going for a stroll since you hadn't been able to sleep, and after hearing a loud commotion all you found was a weak, stranded demon.
The being shakily waited to see your movements, taking the chance to replenish itself. Hantengu had nowhere to run, unless he wanted to try digging.
"Well, I'm sure we can work this out." When your hand reached to him, he crouched and moved his hands to protect his head, which didn't stop you from hiding him in the thick cloth of your woollen cloak, which you had used to protect yourself from the cold spring air.
What was this human thinking? Hantengu pondered the implications, though realised if you were so certain about taking him in, he could always kill you when you got to shelter and he would be free once more. Besides, doing so now would be a waste with the sun around, and since the fabric surrounding him was so soft, warm, and smelt so, so enticing.
With the distraction hidden in your coat and your rushed jog back to your hidden home beyond the forest line and up a hill, you never looked back to catch a glimpse at the body left behind.
Before daring to remove him, you had shut all your blinds so little to no light peaked in, and turned on the light in your home yourself.
When he finally crawled out of your cloak of his own accord, which you had laid on the table and waited for him, his eyes scattered and landed on objects he deemed of importance.
One, a nichirin blade hung on the wall.
Two, a demon slayer corps uniform hanging beside your other garments on a rack.
And three, a portrait of a blue spider lily, one he recognized from one of Muzan's books.
Clearly, you were no normal human, you were a part of the corps. So then why weren't you dressed up and killing him? Perhaps you were going to try to reason with him, like many idiots had tried.
"Ah, you're finally awake."
Of course, he also noticed you sitting in a chair leant up against a wall, just a gust of wind away from it slipping and you falling. But you remained balanced for now.
"You don't have to worry, I won't harm you. I'm just trying to figure out why you haven't harmed me, is all!" In your hands was a cup of tea, which, when you sipped, left a line of green matcha on your lips. It disappeared when you took yet another sip, and set the cup down beside him.
"To be honest, chasing after you really exhausted me, so I think I better head to bed now. You can leave if you'd like should you find a way, but feel free to stay as long as you like."
With that, you left the cowering demon in the nest of a cloak, closing the sliding door to the other half of the cabin where your futon was. Hantengu watched as the lights in the room went out.
You awake early in the afternoon, having achieved a quarter of a day's rest.
Unfortunately serenity was not in the picture, for the moment you opened the sliding door you nearly fell back on your ass upon seeing a fully grown man sitting on one of two cushions by the low table, his hands neatly folded in his lap.
He looked to be asleep sitting, but you knew from experience that it was less akin to sleep, and more of a hibernation tactic demons had during the day.
Only now did a shiver run sharp down your spine, the intense energy surrounding the being only now just hitting you. You must have been so exhausted yesterday that none of it registered.
Limping towards your food prepping station, you picked up a wooden bucket, getting ready to retrieve water for your breakfast. Your leg was acting up again, perhaps you shouldn't have overexerted yourself hours prior.
Once you made movement towards the door, the being sat up semi-straight, red eyes glowing similar to the lanterns scattering the room. He looked to be moving away from you, but stopped when he analysed you as familiar.
You, on the other hand, nearly dropped the bucket upon reading the kanji in his eyes.
When he was small last night, you hadn't noticed. I mean, you were also tired and, god, what have you gotten yourself into?
Not even a low rank, he was upper rank four, god, your heart quickened to a point where you knew he'd notice. Sure, you were a member of the corps, but you'd been on leave for months now since you almost lost your leg, and you were still recovering!
Not only that, but you could count the number of demons you'd killed on one hand, being only a Mizunoe.
Despite these facts, he seemed to be more afraid of you than you had been of him, and you were never that good at hating demons, so you just meekly pointed to the pail.
"I'm going to fetch some water, but I'll be back soon."
Closing the door behind you, your hand met with the cloth over your heart, gripping it as if your life depended on it, trying to slow your heart rate and push forwards.
'What the fuck, what the hell do I even do?' With every heavy step, a lighter one followed as you tried not to put too much pressure on it, approaching the water pump and putting your bucket under it.
Sucking in a breath, you grabbed onto the lever and pushed down, letting it slowly inch up before repeating the process, letting the sputtering first gushes of muddy water spray out until a steady stream formed, which you kicked the bucket under to collect.
Your crow wouldn't be back for a week since it was retrieving medicine, if you could stall and keep him trapped here then maybe your crow could eventually get help! But you'd have to make it for, at the very least, a week.
Removing your calloused hands from the pump handle, you picked up the bucket with far more care than before, assuring yourself you wouldn't spill.
You'd just have to do it, because there was no fighting in your condition, and if he was that much of a threat he surely would have lunged at you while you slept, right?
"So, what's your name?" Your hearth had a burning fire below it, water boiling away as you added sugar and rice, covering it entirely and setting the pot aside so it could cook. The entire time, his eyes had been trained on you, flinching at every loud sound such as a ladle hitting the cast iron of your pot.
"M...me?" His voice broke as he spoke, though when you nodded he cleared it, "Hantengu."
"Han-teng-ou...!" You played the syllables out, as if testing how the name would taste, before pointing to yourself.
"Well, I'm y/n, but you can call me anything you want really. I have a feeling you won't be leaving anytime soon, so try to keep it non demeaning." You joked, though he seemed to take it seriously, nodding vigorously.
When your rice pudding was complete, you scooped a ball of it into a separate spoon, offering it to the demon. You knew they didn't eat human food often, but you figured you should act as clueless as you could.
Much to your surprise, Hantengu ate it, though you could tell he didn't like it by how harshly he swallowed. You giggled, taking the kindness of the demon into consideration, he must have done it not to hurt your feelings, which was relatively cute!
Even as the sun dipped below the horizon, Hantengu never left, instead enjoying your company, and as nights came and went, you found that every morning he'd be there, already preparing the hearth or with water ready for you. You'd become so used to the schedule, you never noticed that your crow hadn't returned, only interested in getting along with the demon.
On one summer evening, as the leaves had fully grown on the trees and the summer heat began to settle in, you'd been cleaning up the home while Hantengu came back in with firewood, stretching his legs now that the sun had gone down.
All the windows were wide, allowing any breeze in to help with the head, and you fanned yourself off with your hand.
"I'm really glad I picked you up, I never realised how lonely it was out here." You spoke up the moment he entered as if it had been on your mind for some time.
Hantengu always listened closely, having long forgotten his plan of ever so much as laying a scratch on you. You'd been nothing but kind to him, and had always treated him better than anyone he had met in his life. It would suffice to say the demon adored you, but he would never say it.
Your words stunned him entirely, which made him gaze down at the floor, hiding the expression of endearment on his face.
"I built this place far from any villages with the help of a few other corps members, but after that I never saw them again. I just didn't want to be anywhere demons would be, because if I was home I wanted to feel safe. But it's pure solitude. You've made it so much better."
Your head had begun to droop, moments from leaning on his shoulder, before the demon squealed and tumbled to the other side of the room, panting. You had become fully alert now, holding your hands out in a panic.
"Sorry! I didn't mean to startle you--!"
Despite your apologies, the being shook, seemingly muttering to himself with both hands clawing at his heads, before in one swift motion he tore his head from his body, blood splashing along the walls and quickly disintegrating.
Mouth agape, you stared in horror as a transformation began, carefully inching towards the blade on your wall. The head rolled on the floor, before regenerating a new body that resembled a much younger demon, entirely shirtless. He caught himself easily, and sprung up on his feet in mere seconds.
The body, on the other hand, changed heavily in appearance until a head popped from the torso, similar red eyes glowing, though they were a more saturated cherry red compared to the Hantengu you knew.
"Ahah! Finally~ A vessel of my own..." Snapping your head back to the other, he was now crouched down, green eyes staring at you with a shimmer of interest.
Despite this, the other one walked behind his duplicate, barely giving you enough time to react to the fact that your companion was entirely renewed, and tore his head off once more, much to the dissatisfaction of the green eyed being, which the green eyed one reacted by ripping the others arm off.
They replenished themselves in seconds, though the two loose limbs quickly multiplied once more, introducing a sulking blue eyed demon, and what looked like a man-bird-thing.
"It never gets any easier..." A soft voice came from the blue eyed individual, of which you caught a kanji on his tongue which read 'sorrow'.
Shivering in the corner, the four seemed to bicker with each other for what you wished was much longer, before their full attention was on your cowering form in the corner.
Oh, how ironic it was, you and Hantengu had entirely switched places, if you could call these beings such a title.
You just hoped they liked you as much as he had.
"Don't you have better things to do than stare?" The red-eyed one hissed, though with malice or anticipation you couldn't entirely pick out. Despite his near-hostility, the showy one crawled forwards, reaching out a clawed hand to hold your chin, pushing it up to meet his eyes.
'Uppermoon Four' It was the same as Hantengu, but they acted so differently, or perhaps to his extremes?
While you were lost in your thoughts, the demon hissed a laugh, enjoying the empty look beyond your curious eyes that scanned him over.
"Before you call me anything I'm not, how about we start with Karaku, unless you prefer 'man of your dreams' better?" The tips of his nails pushed into your skin, but not nearly close enough to damage you. Oh no, he wouldn't dare do such a thing to his doll.
Karaku was promptly pulled back by the claws of a bird foot, which led to the tumbling forward of a very, very strange being, whose wings quickly blocked your view of all others and forced your eyes to gaze into his yellow ones, though he only grinned.
"Look what you've done, making big bad demons go falling for your stupidity, you're lucky you're so damned pretty!" Once he got his word in, he backed off as the other called him by his name strictly, allowing the two remainders to stand before you, gazing down.
You caught the name Urogi, and hoped you caught right, being hoisted to your feet by the hands of a very rough being, the one most similar to Hantengu, though the blue-eyed one placed his hand on your back, keeping you from moving back and providing little comfort.
"You poor thing, you must have no idea what’s going on..." Pity seeped from the sorrow demon, though he muttered his name to you shortly after.
'Aizetsu.' You repeat to yourself mentally, almost leaning into his hand, which moved slowly up and down as if he was giving a futile attempt at comforting you. The one holding your wrist in a vice-like grip only grumbled, seemingly irritated at nothing.
"Sekido."
"S...sekido...?" He only huffed in annoyance at your confirmation, as if it was stupid that you'd even thought of his name in the first place. You hadn't noticed how badly you were shaking until the tremors of the table met your ears, and your heart was skipping beats left and right.
"I- I don't," your voice paused, daring to reach forward, cupping Sekido's cheek, "aren't you?"
The loss of words seemed to amuse Karaku and Urogi, who erupted in giggles and grinned respectively. You were adorable, all your confidence sapped as if anything had changed.
"Yes, and no~" Urogi piped up, tilting his head to get a better look at you from where he was sitting, since Sekido's arm was in the way.
As Sekido dragged you back to your room, you watched Aizetsu carefully close your front door and lock it, each pair of eyes staring at you from the darkness of your living room, shining with light.
Looks like you'd have to make room for four more.

Tumblr media
It was well after midnight when Jake arrived at the club’s entrance. The throbbing bass emanating from inside made the whole building shake, making his mind wonder what it would be like to live on top of such an obnoxiously loud place, contrasting with the quietness of the accommodations the Navy offered. The reflection of the neon sign reading  “Mon Ange” turned his natural olive-toned skin into a vivid dark azure that matched perfectly with the baby blue in his eyes. The smokers (all with stamps on their hands) were all gathered some feet away from the door to get back in after dragging a final puff from their cigarettes. The queue was not very long, mainly because everyone who was meant to be there had arrived way earlier than him. He reprimanded himself for getting there so late ; in less than two hours the nightclub would shut its doors and Jake would feel like he wasted four hours of his life for nothing. Well, his journey would not be in vain if he caught a glimpse of-
“Jake”
This was L.A, a city 118 miles away from the Marine Corps Air Station located in Miramar, which is a two-hour long drive away from everything he knows. He had to remind himself of those facts to avoid spiraling  at the sound of his name in such a place; he hated how his body kept reacting to these kinds of situations, but not even a skilled lieutenant like himself could take the reins of these unnamed emotions that coursed through his entire being.
"What are you doing here by the door? I was worrying about you not showing up today, I was just about to send a search party. C'mon , let's grab a drink. Perhaps I can even convince you to dance this time" A wide playful smirk accompanied the flirty comment exquisitely and, even though Jake was more than used to these antics, his heart skipped a beat. Trying to compose himself, he answered while staring at the concrete floor.
"I don't belong on that dance floor and y'know it, darlin' "
“Oh don’t say that, the 30s are the new 20s! … Even if you’re not planning to dance, you must’ve driven all the way over here for something, right?”
The damn question hit him like a truck. He could try to think of the right answer, but putting something into words made it terrifyingly real, and that was exactly what he'd been avoiding for months. The breeze made them both shiver, as the party outfits didn’t properly protect them from the chilly weather.
“You're right” he muttered “Okay, lead the way. Make it worth the while, mh?" he teasingly replied. Even if what he was doing was definitely outside of his comfort zone, something about the constant banter between them calmed him.
"Don't you always have an amazing time with me? I thought that was why you only talk to me" a fake pout appeared on the face which Seresin couldn't help but to stare intensely in awe. Their hands intertwined and the pilot quickly melted into that comforting touch. His companion briefly exchanged some words with the bouncer and the doors opened for them.
"Thankfully it was Joseph working tonight, I don't think Marcus would have let you in for free just like that" “I’m sure you would've charmed him into doing whatever you wanted anyway”
The thick air of the room embraced him as soon as the doors closed and the familiar feeling appeared in the pit of his stomach almost instantly; it seems like it was yesterday when he first stepped into the nightclub he now knows like the back of his hand, but in reality, that day was what it feels like ages ago. Still, the contradictions that manifested within him every time he returned persisted and only grew each day.
“I’ll go to the bar while you stay here and look pretty, okay? Same drink as always?”
It was because of moments like these that Hangman felt comfortable enough to let his guard down and be his usual extroverted self. Grabbing his wrist to stop him from going any further, he raised his voice so his words could be heard even though the music was top volume. “ Don’t you even dare to try to pay for those drinks, they’re on me.”
“Here it is, the Texan charm of Jake Seresin. I didn’t know you could apply those rules to this situation. Are you trying to imply I’m the girl in this whole affair? Shouldn't we at least draw lots for it?”
"Very funny, M/N'' the hostility that emanated from his rolling eyes made the other man realize his comment had affected Jake on a deeper level than intended. “Hey I’m sorry, I know I shouldn’t hav- I know it’s  a touchy subject and I’m extremely sorry, please forgive me” the regret was visible in his expression and it also could be detected in the stuttering caused by the words rushing their way out of his mouth trying to obtain his forgiveness as fast as possible. Jake took a deep breath and closed his eyes for a second.
Hangman was no saint, he didn’t go to church every Sunday or tried to look for a good christian wife to have kids with like his father did in his day. He knew God was not exactly pleased with the way he was running his life but he used to think that when the time came, He would welcome him with open arms (after having apologized profusely, that is). But now that he had fallen for the most vile trick in the book, he couldn't trust that previous statement anymore. Lust was a capital sin, pretty serious if you asked any priest from the church the Seresin family attended back in Texas, but sodomy? Say goodbye to eternal salvation, son. If Jake was being honest, the promise of heaven or the threat of hell didn't scare him. It was the destruction of all the life lessons that made him act the way he acted,  of his purpose as a son, as a man. The thing that truly haunted him at night  was the thought of a deity (and his father)  designing him to be this flawless individual with a very clear life path , only to end up as a filthy, disgusting f-
“Hey, are you okay? Would you like me to leave you alone for a bit?”
The thought of M/N walking away while he sank deeper and deeper in the sea of guilt and fury frightened him. “Please don’t” he begged “everything’s fine, I promise. Let’s down a couple shots and , who knows, maybe I’ll be in the mood to dance for a bit” the last comment was a futile attempt to hide the everlasting agony that clouded his mind. M/N moved so they were a few inches away and raised his hand to caress his cheek. His next step consisted in resting his arms around his shoulders and starting kissing him delicately in the neck and in the whole face in general, in hopes to kiss the discomfort away.
How could something so delicate and sweet be so dirty? Was it even dirty to begin with? What about the women he had dated? He was attracted to them but now he- Too many questions Jake was not willing to answer that night. He only wanted one thing, and he was about to claim it.
After regaining control of himself, Jake put his right hand on the younger male’s back to guide him to the counter where people were piling up fighting to get the barman’s attention. Being as attractive and well-built as he was, he obtained the alcoholic beverages rather quickly. After the last drop of tequila had made its way down their throats, Hangman took control and led him onto the dance floor. His mind was only filled of the smell of M/N’s cologne mixed with his natural scent enhanced by their bodies crashing against each other while swaying to the 2000s pop remixes, his eyes fixed on his partner’s hypnotizing movements and his hands focused on feeling what they can reach, testing if they can go further in their journey through M/N’s body. Jake was simply standing close and moving according to the song's beat but in a subtle way, just like he would do at the locals he frequented with his coworkers ; manly enough to keep his dignity intact but provocative enough to awake that lustful hunger in the other person’s soul.
‘Mon Ange’ had finally closed down and the two men were still all over each other on the angelino streets. The tingle settling in his chest could only be compared with the adrenaline rush he had previously experienced on those wild nights spent in college, the farewell by the porch of the first girl he had taken on a date or the night out after his first deployment; if he closed his eyes he could swear he was 20 again, but reality made sure to remind him of those fifteen more years that had passed.
M/N had this juvenile thing about him, Jake couldn’t guess confidently his age from afar and his curiosity was finally satiated after befriending him and asking him about it directly ; he was 27, even though he looked some years younger. His bold character combined with his kindness and humor made M/N resemble a butterfly flying around collecting the pollen from every flower in the garden and making it seem effortless. That was one of the many things that hooked Jake on him as if he were the most addicting drug out there, making him throw away his plan of not getting attached and limiting this experience with sporadic hookups that would end then and there, never with the same person twice. That was the problem, he appeared and started moving his hips to some song, making the whole room turn around him and ever since then (even if Jake was still in denial), he was a goner.
The next thing he knew, he was laying down on M/N’s bed, a king size mattress close to a very big window that allowed him to take in the beautiful sight of the sleeping city. He had only been to the apartment twice, but he had always  left before the sun had made its appearance in the sky, moved by remorse and skepticism. This time though, he had stayed the whole night that was filled with passionate sex and heart to heart conversations and finally some cuddling that lured him to rest for a while. Now he was wide awake, sitting against the headboard, resting his eyes on the sunrise and on the slumbering figure facing him. He looked so calm, so peaceful. In that moment, turning his gaze away, he tried to repress a sob that came with a single tear falling through his left cheek.
M/N had always known he was queer, embracing his bisexuality in childhood. Jake had never had any problems with people who were not straight, even if the people around him growing up did, but everything was different when it came to himself. For fuck’s sake, he was closer to being 40 than from his teenage years, what was he doing? He could only paralyze at the idea of anyone seeing what he was doing. It was definitely too late for him. Risking his life everyday up in the sky felt like a minor burden compared to the endurance of the dilemmas he carried with him everywhere, just like Christ had carried the cross all the way to Calvary.
He could feel himself falling for the person right next to him, and that was the worst thing that had ever happened to Lieutenant Jacob Seresin. His calloused hand cupped M/N’s soft face, making the other man lean in closer in search of that delightful warmth. Jake’s lips burned in desperate need to say something out loud. His heart started palpitating at a dangerous speed, as he knew the thing trying to escape from his mind was a cruel thing to say and that he was a horrible being just by thinking that. It was no one’s fault and it had no solution, yet the idea popped up in his mind like an unwanted ad appearing on your phone. His chest ached at the possibility of M/N hearing the words, so he tried to whisper as quietly as it was humanly possible.
“I wish you were a girl”

White doesn’t feel any particular way about Sayeon, but Boss clearly cares a lot for her. His impression of her is mostly that she’s… sheltered. Which is fine. It’s not like he would want her to get hurt or anything, because Boss wouldn’t want that, and if Boss wouldn’t like it then he won’t ask for it either. But he can see the way Boss gets when she talks about her. And that’s how he realizes, at last, that no matter what Boss says he’s never truly going to be loved.
samin & white.
‧⁺˚•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙˚⁺‧͙⁺˚•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙˚⁺‧͙⁺˚•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙˚⁺‧͙
The Crimson Society’s home base is an inconspicuous high-rise deep in the heart of the city, just a brief thirty-minute run from the Corps’ third HQ. White takes the elevator straight to the boss’s office on the highest floor, pulling his hair free from his ponytail and giving it a rough comb with his fingers as he travels up.
Boss is working at her desk when he arrives, door propped open. She glances up when he knocks politely at the entryway. “White! I wasn’t expecting you for another week or two. Come in, come in!”
She gets up from her desk and makes her way over to the couch, gesturing toward the one across from her with a lazy wave of an unlit cigarette. “Sit, sit.”
He does. Across from him, Boss clicks a lighter to life, inhaling deeply as she lights her cigarette. Her exhale comes out in a cloud of smoke, shoulders relaxing as she goes.
“Alright,” Boss says. “Now, tell me. What brings you here, White? You’re still in uniform. I assume the Corps haven’t ferreted you out yet. Did Sayeon catch on to something she shouldn’t have?”
“If she has, she hasn’t said anything,” White replies. “The rest of our team got wasted at an old lady’s house, and she went to go see someone. I thought I’d come chat for a bit. She said she’d be back by morning, so I probably should be, too.”
“Went to go see someone, huh.” The boss blows out another cloud of smoke. “Must be that delinquent kid. That might get ugly. Well… it’s about time she got a taste of what the Suits are really like.”
Min. What do you think? Do the Corps really kill off weaker aberrants?
…yeah, he can see how that could get messy. Boss already knew, then.
“Well, no matter,” Boss says, a wide grin returning to her face. “I’m glad you had the chance to come home for a bit! Tell me all about what Sayeon’s been up to these past two weeks! I feel like I haven’t seen her in forever.”
She leans forward expectantly.
White scratches his cheek. He’s not really used to Boss getting this invested in things. Which parts does she even want to hear? “Just training, mostly. I also practice with her after hours. She gets along fine with the others, but she keeps picking fights with the other girl on our team. I don’t know why. She got knocked out for it the other day.”
“That little bookworm,” Boss sighs fondly. “I don’t think she ever really figured out how to make friends, when she’s spent her whole life with her nose buried in the books. I wonder what’s got her so interested. Who’s the other girl?”
“Ryujin Kang. She’s a prison recruit with red essence.”
“Oh, the one she went to the warehouses with,” Boss says. “They’re close?”
White… wouldn’t describe it like that. Ryujin does seem to be looking out for Sayeon in her own way, but—“No?”
Boss claps her hands together brightly. “Great! And the last member of your team?”
“Iseul Kim. His father was in the Suits. They’re friendly, but that’s all.”
“Good, good.” Another drag of the cigarette. “I’ll have Jungwoo look into him. What else? Has she just been keeping her head down, then? She always was a bit timid.”
“No, she’s very… passionate.”
“‘Passionate?’” Boss laughs. “You can just call her a bootlicker, you know! You don’t have to beat around the bush, White, I know my own sister.”
“…she’s very passionate about the Suits’ mission,” White repeats diplomatically. “And towards climbing the ranks. She asked me to disable another trainee during a cross-team game the other day.”
Boss’s eyes light up. “Did she really? Awwww! I knew she had it in her. That’s so cute! My baby sister, finally growing up…”
Boss makes a strange expression that he’s never seen before, eyes all melty as her smile softens around the corner. White doesn’t know what to make of it. It’s so alien.
Something strange clenches in the pit of his stomach.
“I’m so happy to hear that things have been going well for her!” Boss continues, still sparkling with joy. “Has she figured out her gift yet? You know, she was so in denial about being an aberrant that she never actually used any of her essence before joining the Suits?”
He’s aware. What a waste. “…she says it’s Super Instinct.”
“Oh?” Boss raises an eyebrow. “What’s this? You don’t believe her. White, since when did you learn to distrust people!”
He… gets the distinct feeling he’s being made fun of. But it’s always kind of hard to tell with the boss.
“She says it’s just something like a gut feeling,” he says. “Not precognition, or anything. But I would’ve expected it to be more like yours.”
“Hm.” Boss considers it for a moment. “You never really know with teal essences… but yeah, she’s probably lying. Clever girl. Well! Whatever it is, it probably suits her little brainiac tendencies. How is she doing on the fighting front, anyway?”
…White thinks this would be a good place to keep his mouth shut.
“That bad, huh.” The boss barks out a laugh. “Man! I can’t say I never tried to warn her. She must still think she can get away with pushing papers once she’s high enough up the ranks.”
White wouldn’t put it past her. “Why didn’t you ever teach her to fight?”
Boss glances at him, a wry smile on her lips. “You think she would’ve been receptive to learning that? You must have seen how she is by now. All morals and ethics and philosophical crap.”
Hm. She is kind of self-righteous.
“And, I guess it was a bit sentimental of me,” Red adds, smoke leaking from her lips with every word, “but I was hoping she’d never need it.”
White cocks his head. He—
—can’t even imagine a life that doesn’t need violence. Before he was aware enough to fight back, all that ever awaited him was a sluggish haze of pain. Before he was strong enough to wield a baseball bat, all he’d ever been good for was powering other people’s violence. Before he was powerful enough to use violence in the Crimson Society’s name, he didn’t even have a name of his own.
White wouldn’t even be a person if he couldn’t fight. He wonders what it must be like to have a sister who would protect you from all that, without asking a single thing from you in return, and still having the gall to be ungrateful for it all.
Red watches him closely, a calculating look on her face. “What’re you thinking about, White?”
“…nothing, Boss.”
“Oh, sure.” She grins at him knowingly. “If you say so. Well, in any case! You came at a good time. I actually have a new task for you.”
She pulls out a purple flash drive. Waves it around a bit, just to show it off. Tells him about the Begonia Group, about godlings and storms; says: “You are no longer to simply observe Sayeon. You are now to protect her. Is that understood?”
Something ugly is simmering on low in the back of his throat. White doesn’t know what it is. He’s not going to examine it. “Yes, Boss.”
The boss tilts her head, studying him carefully. She folds her hands over her knees. “Something bothering you?”
“No, Boss.”
“Really, now.” Charcoal eyes glint with the reflection of the city skyline. “And since when did you start lying to me, White?”
He…
…stays silent.
Red sighs.
She takes a long drag of her cigarette, exhaling slowly. Smoke drifts in hazy spirals around her. “You’re lucky you’re a terrible liar, you know. Now. Go on. Be honest with me, White. What do you think of Sayeon?”
He stares down at his hands, clenched too tightly to his side. He subtly tries to relax them. The movement doesn’t go unnoticed.
Red takes another puff of her cigarette and waits patiently as White tries to gather his thoughts.
The thing is, for the most part, White doesn’t really think about Sayeon Lee. He’s pretty sure he wouldn’t feel any way in particular about her at all, if not for the fact that she’s so important to the boss, but. The boss is asking. So what does he think of Sayeon Lee?
She’s smart, clearly. On her own she’s not much of a threat, but she’s been very successful at directing the rest of them in team exercises. Naïve, though. Unbelievably naïve. She’s clearly led a very different life than White.
He remembers the way illegal aberrants rolled off her tongue. An irrational stab of irritation runs through him. Yeah—very different lives, indeed. The words tumble out before he’s fully thought them through: “I don’t know what you see in her.”
Red raises an eyebrow. She seems bemused by this response, so he adds, a little more quietly: “She doesn’t like you.”
A blank stare.
And then understanding dawns, and a too-wide grin splits across Red’s face. “Ohhhhhh. Is that what’s bothering you? White. Do you know why anyone does anything?”
…survival, right? Or avoiding pain, maybe. Is that too obvious?
Red doesn’t wait for an answer. She wraps her arms around herself cheerily. “For love.”
Love…?
“Everything you do, you do because you love others—or yourself,” Red continues, some weird expression on her face that White doesn’t normally see unless she’s fucking with a rival gang. But Red doesn’t usually play with him like that. “Imagine losing all your love!”
White tries. He finds he can’t imagine losing something he’s unsure he ever had in the first place.
On the upside, Red seems happy to keep rambling even without his input. “That’s what my sister is to me. All my love, manifest—the one thing that’s kept me going.”
It’s—strange. White’s aware that he’s not exactly emotionally intelligent. But he gets friendship pretty easily. Friendship is when you like someone because they make your life better in some way. Sayeon is definitely not Red’s friend, though.
Love… has always been a little harder for him to get. He thought that’s what the bond between the Crimson Society members was supposed to be called, just a special type of fondness that people put an extra name to. But if Red loves them, then Sayeon is special to her in a way even beyond ‘love.’ Because—
“She can hate me all she wants,” Red says. “Doesn’t change a thing.”
Her gaze flicks up to meet his, at last. “This... isn’t making much sense to you, hm?”
Actually—he thinks he might get it, sort of.
See, here’s the thing: White’s well aware that the boss is fond of him in the way that people are fond of a pair of oven mitts that have done their job for a decade. He’s always called that love because the others called it love, and he’s okay with becoming whatever the boss wants him to be. If Boss tells him to die, he will; if Red wants to kick him, that’s fine; if he is of use to her, then at least he will retain a place by her side.
And maybe that’s what the difference is. Sayeon doesn’t like Boss, but Boss still wants to be of use to her, because Boss loves her in the way that people love other people. And as long as White’s of use to her and Sayeon, she’ll keep loving him too—in the way people love their tools.
Which is perfectly fine. It’s fine if Boss never loves him the way she loves family; White will be grateful for any kind of love that she deigns to give him, and anyway, he can’t miss what he’s never had.
(It’s just… wasn’t the Crimson Society supposed to be family?)

this is actually a 2k excerpt from what is... currently... a 6.5k rewrite of season 1 from min's point of view. (ugly sobbing. it's not even done.) i'm not gonna have computer access for a few days and had wanted to post the initial draft of the fic but uhhh for various reasons that did not end up happening and also knowing me i'll lowkey either scrap 80% of the fic or lose motivation to write for like 5 months, so. ✩ta-daaa✩?
(that was a very long way of saying "i will eventually post a cleaner version to ao3, possibly as part of a longer fic, possibly as is, but that may or may not take another half year so please enjoy this in the meantime")
anyway thanks for reading all the way down here!!! i love you comments regrow my skin but please don't point out any typos it is 2am and i'll admit that i don't actually believe in spellcheck <3

Together Forever (MK1 Havik)
PS; Not lore accurate to the Mortal Kombat universe, I write because they’re hot.
The foods she made already went cold as they’ve been sitting there for hours. The lady waits for the arrival of her lover,Havik who promised he will be back today in his letter but there is still not a sight of him until dawn. She still sits there since morning believing he will be at their doorstep any minute now, the expectation she’s been having since she awoke at dusk.
She re-reads his letter again ‘I will be back in 3 days, this is a promise. No less or more than those days. The battle is almost over and I can only write this letter for the last time before I go home back to you,my love. I am fine and not hurt at all, do not worry about me. See you in 3 days. I have missed you every second without you by my side. I love you always.
Havik
Today is the third day. She has been excited since yesterday. Cleaning their house, washing every clothes needed and cooking his favorite foods. But where is he? She started to get tired in the chair in the living room. Her eyes haven’t left the front door. Minutes later her eyes closed from exhaustion.
The birds’ chirps awoke her. It’s morning. The 4th day, a day after he promised to be here back home. She walks outside thinking he’ll be in the farm doing the corps. No one is there. She walks to the bathroom. Just cold there. She looks at the foods she made, not a single bit of them were eaten. ‘Maybe the place he is at has heavy rain or even something bad making him no chance to stay there for awhile’ she thinks for her own emotion.
She gave the food to their farm animals not wanting to waste them. Then something caught her eyes, there’s a letter in a basket beside the front door. Did she not see it before? The lady takes it and reads; ‘My love, you have taken well of our house and farm. I am very lucky to have you as my wife. Strong and independent woman. The new dress you are wearing fits you so well complimenting your beauty. I love you’
“Havik?!” she calls out his name looking around their house searching for his sight. He’s not to be seen “Come home,Havik!”
No replies. Just the wind. With a heavy heart she storms back to the house laying down in the bed crying. “Why didn't he come home when he was right here? Did I do something?”,Negative thoughts swam in her mind, making her cry much more. In tears she went to sleep once again with sadness in her heart.
She wakes up hours later feeling hungry. She looks around and no one is in the house beside herself. She went to eat alone and attend their farm. Until night comes, Havik is still not home. She sleeps in sorrow this time.
The next day, the house is still in the same atmosphere; cold and lonely. She walks out from the front door. There’s a letter again in the same basket. She opens it,reading; ‘My love, please don’t cry. It breaks my heart seeing you like this. I am sorry I haven't come home as I promised. I just don’t know how to face you…. I have changed. You won't love me after you see me. I am afraid of losing you. I love you’
What does he mean he changed? Did something go wrong in the mission? That can’t be, he is capable of taking care of himself and heal. So what is he so afraid about?
“Havik, are you hurt?!” She shouts out loud eyes wandering every place around the house “Come home,Havik! I can help you with your wounds!”
Not a single reply.
With the same sorrowful heart, she storms back into the house and sleeps in tears. After she woke up, she didn’t go outside to tend the farm. She isolates herself in the room. She came out the next day, went straight to the front door. A letter again in the basket, ‘Love, I am sorry I hurt you. You didn’t feed the animals yesterday. You must be so hurt by this…. I am sorry. I will apologise to you a million times just for you to feel comfort. I still don’t have the courage for you to see me. I am sorry. I love you’
“Havik come home!” she cries out “Come back to me…”
Again,just silence.
Today, she isolates herself just like before. Eating little food and laying in the bed thinking about Havik wondering why he is still afraid to be seen by her. She’s his wife. Nothing can change her love towards him no matter what. By then, she has an idea.
It was dusk, she lay there quiet under the covers pretending to sleep. The window by the bed creaks open a little. Someone is peeking inside the room and then closes it back. Heavy footsteps walk to the front door stopping there. She slowly walks to the front door and opens the door with a swift. And there he is. Her husband. His back facing her like he was about to leave. She saw him flinch hearing the door open after he laid the letter in the basket again “Havik!” she calls out his name. Tears starts to water down her eyes “Havik, don’t go”
Her heart was heavy looking at his appearance. Havik is a little thinner than before he left for the war. His body becomes more tense as she walks towards him. Her soft hand touches his shoulder “Havik?”, he stand still not turning around “Havik, please i want to see you” she softly asks
Havik slowly turns around. His eyes avoid hers. He covered half of his face with a scarf “Are you hurt?” she reaches the scarf but he stops her “Let me see” her eyes begs him. Havik lets her to uncover his face
He finally looks at her to see her reaction. No sigh of disgust or fear, not the reaction he expected her seeing his new scarred face “Who did this to you?”
“I wasn’t strong enough to avoid the accident”
“Are you in pain?”
She sighs in relief and hugs him tightly “That’s all matter,Havik. I don’t want you to be in pain”
Havik stood there still not knowing what to do. She loves him even though his face is half of his flesh? The thoughts of her leaving him and being scared of him because of new looks was not true. “Are you not scared?”
She looks into his eyes “Never will”
Havik finally returns her embrace. Hugging her tightly, he slowly cries. All those fears of losing her will never happen. Their love for each other is forever even after one of them changed. But love will never change, not a single bit.
“Let’s go home” she holds his hand with the smile he adores so much
“Yes”

▵▿— Someone Who Loves You
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: Giyuu Tomioka x gn! Reader
Category: Fluff, angst (if you squint hard enough)
Warning: Confession, sight mentions of Giyuu’s backstory, that type of nostalgic feeling at the end
Summary: You’ve always been particularly friendly towards Giyuu, so much that he began developing feelings towards you over the years you’ve been comrades together. The day where you two were paired on a mission had arrived, maybe he can finally confess his feelings?
A/N: Poor boy needs some therapy
Tumblr media
Ever since the death of his best friend Sabito, Giyuu had become reserved, isolating himself and his emotions from the rest of the world. No matter how much he wanted to befriend others, to be liked or needed by others, he stopped himself from doing so. Because he knew, as a Demon Slayer, there wasn’t a guarantee where he or people he loves will return alive tomorrow. So he tried not to get attached to anyone.
Until you came into his life.
You joined the Demon Slayer Corps a few years after Giyuu did, and you rose though the ranks quickly. Due to your dedication of saving people from demons, you soon became a Hashira. On the day when you were officially ranked as a Hashira, on the day you were introduced to all of your fellow Hashira comrades, was the day Giyuu met you. You had a smile as bright as sunshine, and a voice as sweet as honey. Your lively and friendly personality was naturally attractive, allowing you to captivate new friends and admirers left and right, like flies to light. For years, you and Giyuu were Hashiras together. And despite how quiet and reserved Giyuu was, you still tried to engage with him. Occasionally bringing him deserts or treating him to salmon daikon. It became harder and harder for him to not develop feelings for you. You were always so kind and friendly to him. And despite all the bad gossips about him from other Hashiras, you ignored them and still tried to bond with him. It was as if you knew Giyuu’s desire to befriend others.
Things were never the same since that one day, on that one mission.
You were paired with Giyuu on a mission after receiving reports of demons lurking in a mountain quite far away from HQ. As you travelled with Giyuu, you kept trying to talk to him. But it seemed that he was even more quiet than usual. You didn’t pay much attention though, thinking you might treat him to some salmon daikon again later. Night approached sooner than you expected, so you decided to make a pit stop at a nearby Wisteria House before continuing travelling tomorrow. An old lady came to greet you when you knocked on the gates. “Oh hello, you two are Demon Slayers, correct? Come on in.” The old lady showed you to a room within the Wisteria House and you wasted absolutely no time setting up your futon and getting ready for rest. Afterall, you were exhausted from travelling today. Giyuu, on the other hand, stayed awake. Sitting on the edge of the engawa outside of your room, he stared at the moon which ever so gracefully lit up everything beneath it. “Giyuu…?” He turned around to see you tiptoeing towards him. “What are you doing up so late?” You asked as you sat down next to him on the engawa, drowsiness still mixed in with your voice. “Mmmm… Just thinking.” “Don’t you think it’s a bit too late at night to think?” “For Demon Slayers, it’s never too late at night to think.” You divert your eyes towards the moon hung above you. A comforting silence filled the air around you, chirping or crickets or the calls of night birds occasionally breaking the silence. You basked in the comforting presence of him, until he spoke up. “Yknow… I’ve been wanting to say this for a while…” Giyuu whispered in the softest voice, eyes still fixed on the moon. “I love you. You’ve always been so nice and kind to me. And it was as if you knew about the pain I felt about the deaths of my sister and best friend, you’ve always tried to cheer me up.” He looked down, refusing to look at you in the eyes. “It’s alright if you don’t feel the same way as I do–“ Giyuu’s words were cut short when you gently yet quickly cradled his face in your hands and pressed your lips to his. The kiss was short but sweet. When you pulled away, Giyuu could only stare into your eyes in shock, cheeks dusted in light pink. “Yknow I’ve been wanting to say the same thing to you too for a long time now.” “Does that mean we’re…?” Giyuu was hesitated to ask, still trying to confirm if this was all real. You smiled at him brightly, eyes forming into two crescent moons.
Ever since his best friend and sister died from protecting him, Giyuu fell into an endless loop of regret and guilt. You were the one who broke through that loop and held a hand out for him. And for the first him in years, a smile was plastered on Giyuu’s face.
Tumblr media
Bonus: the other hashiras were literally like ⓿_⓿ when they say you come back from your mission holding hands with Giyuu.

Wattpad Book
Chapter 1
Tumblr media
As soon as Y/n arrived in his room, he made sure that everything he needed was there already, his custom uniform of red and black colours, money to cover the train ticket, blood collecting needles and his sheathed katana.
He got ready and left the room, it was around 10 pm when he made his way to the back garden of the tea house, a small prick on the needle was all he needed for it to fill to the brim with his blood, taking short steps with his geta as the something on the tree began to move.
“LORD L/n! I missed you so much!” the demoness jumped at the sight of her favourite demon hunter. Her name was Aoyama Kazue, a girl who was turned to a demon at the age of 14, and had been working for the demon hunters since then, she had been welcomed in when a Lord (the equivalent of a hashira) had seen that her blood demon art allowed her to create a subspace where you could cut distances, for that, the demon hunter draws their own blood with a needle and stabs it onto a special kind of tree that acts as a portal. “I need you to take me near tokyo, close to a train station, but not that close” Y/n spoke as he handed her his blood for her to drink and use her blood demon art. “Yes Lord L/n! I'll take you there, do you need me to take you back as well?” She walked up to the tree as it began to uncurl to reveal a forest behind it, it was nighttime there “I’ll call you if I need your help, let’s go Kazue” He patted her on the head and began walking.
Meanwhile, Rengoku Kyojuro was waiting on the train station for the mugen train to be ready, the demon he had slayed the last night was but a mere distraction for the real danger that lurked on that place, it was around 8am, the sun shined on the horizon and the place was calm, he was eating one of the bentos he had bought from the lady and granddaughter.
“UMAI” Kyojuro said which each bite he took, the rice and beef were a good combination for a bento, and he still had around 20 to eat later so it would be a feast for him!.
RENGOKU’S POV
“That’s a nice bento, isn’t it?” a voice said behind me, wait, behind me?? I turned around to find a male on a expensive looking hakama pants and a hakamashita with a untied kimono, H/c and radiant E/c. “Yes! It is a nice bento! Who may you be?” looking down I could see high geta sandals, he shouldn’t be able to get behind me even with my dense hearing, I didn’t get alerted by his presence at all.
“My name is L/n F/n (Fake name) nice to meet you, what’s your name?” L/n sat on the other side of the bench while he placed his bag in front of his legs. He wasn’t a demon because he was in full contact with sunlight and he didn’t look like a demon at all.
“Nice to meet you as well L/n-San, my name is Rengoku Kyojuro!” I shook his hand as he offered it to me and gave him a smile. On his hand he had a boarding ticket that said “mugen train” with red letters. “Are you boarding on the mugen train tonight? Where are you heading?” He looked down at his ticket and looked up again “Yes, I assume you are boarding as well Rengoku-san? I'm going to visit a friend of mine” His voice was calm and relaxed, like the ocean waves. “Yes! I am boarding to slay a demon that has been killing people on the train! I was sent by the demon slayer corps!”
Y/n POV
He’s the Hashira I’m looking for, I doubt Ubuyashiki would sent two hashira on a mission, maybe a kinoe but not two hashira, as soon as he said his name I realised he was one, Rengoku is not a surname that you hear everyday, they are flame wielders, a respected family inside the demon slayer corps and not counting that fact, he has golden buttons on the gakuran, he’s 100% the hashira I was sent to protect. “You are a demon slayer, am I right? That uniform seemed familiar to me” I want him to lower his guard around me so he can trust me better when the time comes. I don’t want to knock him out, that would be a waste of my time.
“Yes! Do you happen to know the demon slayer corps? I’ll protect the train and each one of the passengers on it!” He’s loud. Charming appearance but loud. Maybe he’s hard of hearing so I won’t say anything to him yet. “I do know the demon slayer corps” and now it’s the time for charming. Lady Kichijoten please help me and forgive me for what I’m about to do.
“Is that so? Thank you so much Rengoku-san” I placed my hand atop of his and gave him the kindest smile I could, an unorthodox but working method. His face had a faint blush on it as I moved one of my fingers to make small circles on the palm of his hand. “DO NOT WORRY, I’LL PROTECT YO- I MEAN i’LL PROTECT EVERYONE ON THE TRAIN” The stutter of his voice was a clear sign that my plan was working, he got up faster than a thunder and began to talk loudly “I’LL FULFIL MY DUTY AS A HASHIRA AND PROTECT THE PEOPLE, DO NOT WORRY L/N-SAN!” he was clearly embarrassed as he said those words.
“Fufu~, how about I treat you to breakfast after the train arrives? That way I can thank you for protecting me and everyone on the train, Rengoku-san~” Man, not even 30 minutes in and this guy is already blushing? Has he ever had a lover? Maybe not.
“THAT WOULD BE DELIGHTFUL L/N-SAN! I’LL LOOK FORWARD TO IT” He was somewhat attractive, his flashy hair and eyes were beautiful, he looked like an owl.
3rd PERSON POV
The conversation between the two men got interrupted when the train tracks began to clack signalling the arrival of the train to the station, “Rengoku-san, it’s time to part away but when the train stops, I’ll wait for you” Y/n gave him a smile and began to walk to the open door in front of him ignoring Kyojuro and making his way to his seat.
To Y/n’s misfortune, it turns out Kyojuro had followed him and now they were sitting in front of each other, the hashira was eating a new bento every 2 minutes while Y/n kept all his attention on all the people passing by to other carts.
“Rengoku-san, do you happen to enjoy my company? I don’t see why following me would help your mission” The demon hunter spoke with a flirty tone as he looked at the hashira, “I wanted to talk with you! After all, we are to have breakfast after this! You said it yourself!” his tone of voice and cheeriness never faded, that got a smile on Y/n’s face. Thanks to his eating speed, Kyojuro had some rice grains near his lips that he was planning to clean
“Let’s hope I don’t distract you too much on your mission then” Y/n licked his thumb and cleaned the rice stuck on Kyojuro’s face. “I may go poor for how much you’re eating, not that I mind, Men with an appetite are quite cute if I say so myself” with a slight chuckle from Y/n’s lips, the hashira was blushing once again.
After some time waiting for the train to depart, 3 voices from another cart were getting louder, no doubt the slayers that were to accompany Kyojuro on this mission, Y/n thought.
Y/n POV
3 men stood behind Rengoku as he continued to eat, with each bite he took he repeated the word “Umai” loudly, after a while it didn’t bother me anymore, though I couldn’t say the same about the other passengers of the cart.
They were not older than 17, maybe 16 to 15, The first to approach Rengoku was a kid with burgundy hair and a scar on his face, green chequered haori and a box that reaked of a demon, I suppose that was Tanjiro Kamado, the kid who carries his demon sister on his back. “Um, excuse me, Rengoku-san?” With every word he said, Rengoky paid no mind while he continued to eat. “We get that part already” He sounded more tired than anything, while the two other kids behind him were silent.
While Rengoku and Kamado talked I looked at the other two, a blond scared looking kid with a yellow haori and a kid with a boar mask?? Isn’t that a flashy sight to look at, and he was naked on his upper torso. “WHAT YOU LOOKIN’ AT FANCY MAN?” I guess he caught me staring because the next moment he was pointing one of his fingers at me.
In a moment, all the attention of the 4 slayers was on me, yipee. What mess did I get myself into?
“I’m sorry for my friend over there beautiful lady, he doesn’t have any manners” the blond kid said while trying to push his friend aside. “What’s your name, beautiful lady?” and now he thinks I’m a girl, awesome.
“My name is L/n Y/n, I may be beautiful but I’m not a lady, young man” I got to admit that it was funny seeing his face contort at my revelation.
“Oh, I see” with a defeated look he went to sit down on a nearby chair with the boar kid following him close after. Kamado looked back at me and bowed his head “I’m so sorry for my friends, they don’t mean any harm but they can be quite annoying, my name is Kamado Tanjiro, it’s nice to meet you” I bowed a bit and he continued to talk “Their names are Agatsuma Zenitsu and Hashibira Inosuke, i’m so sorry if they were a bother” at least Kamado has manners.

Finally having the guts to request a oneshot JWHAHAHDDHDHDH
okay anyways-
Its no surprise that Im of course gonna ask a muichiro x reader that’s a fucking dumbass (aka: her attention span is low and can easily get distracted by anything in sight. But that changes when it comes to fighting demons and training)
I guess a scenario i csn come up with is that both of them fought a demon together and muichiro would notice how focused the reader is… but then after literally just killing the demon, she saw something of interest and immediately runs towards it)
…this is very confusing so im sorry, sapphire 💔💔
Tumblr media
Hi cloudy! I just wrote them today. I'm sorry it was late ..
Tumblr media
FOCUS
Being the Mist Pillar's Tsuguko, there are a lot of traits before you would be considered as one.
Pure determination to eradicate all demons, undeniable strength, Patience and most important of all, focus.
You have all the traits, except for one. It's a wonder how you became his tsuguko.
Today, you and Muichiro were supposed to have early training, but you are now running late due to a few distractions along the way.
"White or Black, mmm" You contemplated, holding the two hair bows in each of your hands. You were in a hurry on your way to The Mist Hashira's Estate but you got sidetracked when your eyes caught the small cart selling hair bow ties.
"Why don't you buy them both Miss? They both look good on you." The young lady said, you eyed the seller, checking out whether she was telling the truth or just wanted to sell them both.
It took you long enough to decide: white or black? White is cute, but it can easily get dirty. The black one is cute too, but you already have one. You contemplated for a while, and in the end, you decided to buy a dark blue hair bow tie instead.
You arrived in the Mist Hashira's Estate late, you were breathing heavily as you try to catch your breath. "I'm sorry I'm late" you said to the Hashira who was looking at you unamused.
"What's new? You're always late" he grumbles, standing up, grasping his katana before looking at you intently "What is it this time?"
"I..uh..I.. was feeling sick and I woke up late" You lied, Muichiro will scold you again if he finds out you were late over something not important.
He got mad at you when one time he caught you playing around the flower field instead of training. "You're supposed to be training not playing, stop wasting time!"
He examined your features, looking for any signs of sickness. "You're not sick" he said plainly. "You bought a hair bow" he stated, mint-green eyes bore into your now wide eyes. "What? How could you possibly notice that?!" You exclaim, you were not expecting him to notice it.
"It's called paying attention Y/n! As a demon slayer and as my tsuguko, you should know that paying attention to your surroundings is vital part of being a slayer." Muichiro started to lecture you, again.
"You should be ready at all times. How would you be able to detect demons if you are not paying attention,Y/n! You shouldn't...." Muichiro's words muffled out as soon as you saw the blue butterfly fly around in his back. You were captivated by its beauty that you forgot about Muichiro's lecture.
Tumblr media
Muichiro took notice of this, following your gaze, he spot the butterfly you were looking for. "REALLY Y/N?!" Muichiro exasperated, his loud voice boomed in the area, making you snap you back into reality.
Your eyes widen as you look at Muichiro, red face, veins almost popping, mint-green eyes glaring at you. He is mad --- mad.
"I'm..." Just right when you were about to apologize. Muichiro cut you off.
"Just right when I'm lecturing you about the importance of paying attention. You are not listening! You rather watch a butterfly than listen to what I say! This is not time to waste my time." He angrily spat, each words laced with venom.
"We are at war here Y/n! I don't need you playing around and wasting my time. It's either you grow up or quit the demon slayer corp." Muichiro's harsh words broke you. You lower your head to hide your tears threatening to fall. "I'm sorry Muichiro-san" you whisper, your lips quivering as you try to stop yourself from crying out there.
"Practice your sword swinging! I'd better not see you playing around" Muichiro scoffed as he walked out on you.
You nodded softly and started to train by yourself the whole day.
The sun is about to set and you were still upset with him because he raised his voice at you over a butterfly, which was petty. 'I'm still young' you angrily uttered to yourself while fiercely wielding your wooden sword against the tree, letting out your anger there.
"Don't I get to enjoy over little things? I am capable enough to slay demons while enjoying little things" you uttered, glaring at the tree in front of you.
You understand where Muichiro is coming from. He is also young, the same age as you, but he became a slayer at the younger age. He became a hashira at the young age, forcing himself to grow up for the sake of people around him.
You were saddened at the thought of it. "It's not his fault" you muttered softly. You were sweating a lot and decided to rest a bit when you stepped on a mimosa plant.
Tumblr media
"Wow" you were in awe when the little leaves started to close upon contact.
You sit down on the ground, eyes looking at them in amazement as you touch the other part of the leaves and they instantly close again.
Your ears perk up at the sound of his footsteps. You immediately scramble up, quickly apologizing as he once again cut you playing around.
"I'm sorry Muichiro-san," you bow as you apologize.
Muichiro notices your features: your eyes are red from your frustrated tears and your hair is a mess from constantly running your fingers through your hair in frustration.
His eyes soften at the sight of you, he was harsh earlier and he felt bad.
"I should be apologizing. I should have been careful with my words" Muichiro murmured softly. You eyes widened slightly. He never apologize before. This is the first.
"I should be sorry, I should have paid more attention Muichiro-san" You quickly remark, looking at him sincerely.
"I should have been more patient, I'll try my best to be more understanding" He said. "Truce?"
You smiled at him, "Truce"
Just in time, both of your crows are squawking loudly, giving the mission for both of you.
"So we're on a mission together" You said, beaming at him. He nod at you, "Fix your hair first and let's go" he muttered before he started walking.
You blush slightly, 'Muichiro saw you as a mess" you thought to yourself before catching up to him. You tied your hair back in a ponytail and attached the hair bow to it.
It was expected that you will face a kizuki but what you didn't anticipate is that there will be two of them.
"Fall back!" Muichiro yelled. He didn't anticipate it either that there will be two of them. If he had known, he wouldn't have let you come with him. He needed to protect you, thus making you retreat and back away.
"No! We are on this together!" You yelled back, not taking your eyes off from the demon in front of you, standing on your ground, heightening your senses, anticipating their next move.
You heard the demon on your left leap off the ground and about to pounce on you. You quickly dodge the attack, but Muichiro, who was looking at you, shouting, didn't notice the other demon's incoming attack on him.
It's filthy hand land a hit on his chest, enough to put damage on him but you managed to cut its arms off. You stood in front of him, your back facing him as you glare at the demons in front of you "I thought pay attention to your surroundings?!" You snapped at him.
You took a quick peek at his chest to see blood oozing out. That made you snap.
"I'll fucking end you" You growled at the demon who dared to hurt Muichiro. You control your breathing, to increase your stamina. You went for a strike, Muichiro tried to help as much as he could, inflicting damage to slow them down. He used his breathing technique to temporarily hide you in the mist.
He watches as you elegantly sever their head with your own breathing style, with the help of his breathing techniques, you managed to do it. He felt silly, he was worried as hell, thinking that he needed to protect you because you always lose your focus, but tonight, you just proved to him that you are capable enough.
You smiled at him, as you walked over to him, "ha, 'pay attention to your surroundings'" you teased him and before he could answer, you gasp as you notice the fireflies around.
"They're so pretty" you squeal, you could see in your peripheral vision that he was shaking his head at you as you ran towards the fireflies.
Tumblr media
"That's one of my favourite memory of you dad" You told to your twins as you tell them a bed time story.
"You're so cool mom" One of your twins said, his mint-green eyes, the same features as their father's shines in amazement as they stare at you.
You chuckled at them, tucking them in bed. "What about your least favourite memory mom?" You paused at their question. Your heart breaking at the thought of it. You smiled at your twins to hide your pain. "What about you both sleep first and that's another night for story to tell? Mmm?" You said to them.
"But moooom" Your twin whined, it was a good thing that his older brother, scolded him, "let's go to sleep, let mom go "
"Okay, Good night mommy"
"Good Night mom"
"Goodnight too, sweetdreams" You said to them sweetly, kissing both of their foreheads before heading back to your room.
You let out a shaky breath you were holding, your memories of him being stab was still fresh.
Tumblr media
It was the final battle, facing off the upper moon one demon. The audacity he had to tell you over and over again to pay attention to your surroundings but he kept all his attention to you. You were capable enough. Why must he worry about you? The upper moon went to attack you, his sword landing a deep slash on your upper arm, if you weren't quick enough, he would've successfully cut your arm off.
Muichiro was enraged, he went to face him off alone but the moment he heard your small whimper of pain, he diverted his attention to you for a second. That second alone was enough to cut his arm off.
"Muichiro" You yelled, wincing in pain as you push yourself to stand up, the upper one had completely worn you out.
You watched as the upper demon stab him, making you see bright red.
Tumblr media
Your eyes welled up in tears as you recall that event. You blamed yourself for being weak. If only Muichiro didn't pay attention to you. He wouldn't have gotten hurt. He was hurt and you couldn't protect him like he did for you.
You are truly sorry and you'll keep apologising for it
"Love?" A voice called out to you from behind before his arm wrapped around you, you turned around to hug him, "I'm sorry Mui" you murmured softly.
You felt him kiss your head before asking you, "what for?" He murmured, swaying the both of you as he held you.
"For not keeping you safe" you mumbled in his neck as you nuzzle your head in.
"That again?" He said, "You know I don't regret anything." He assures you.
"But ---" he cut you off with a swift kiss. "Shhhh shut up" he whisper sofly. "I love you" "I love you too".

você pode fazer mulheres de demon Slayer com o prompt “you’re pretty.” - “you’re drunk"? 🙏🙏
Of course I can 😩
Prompt 128 - “You’re pretty.” “You’re drunk.”
Ft. Shinobu Kocho, Mitsuri Kanroji, Lady Tamayo
Warnings: slight angst, alcohol consumption, cute but sad tbh. Canon verse because it be like that. Also not proofread.
Tumblr media
SHINOBU KOCHO
“You know, I really hate demons.” Her words slurred, and you sat there, a frown forming on your lips as you listened. You had taken her out after your shared mission, and you were starting to regret it.
“I know, Kocho.” You hated to see her in such a state, her elegance slipping away with every drink she consumed. Before you knew it, she’d be making a fool of herself in the bar.
Thankfully it was just you two and the bartender. And the poor guy seemed pretty understanding.
“Yeah- and that stupid upper moon two.” She grumbled, a pout forming on her lips. “The next time I see him, I’ll bring him down for suuureee.” She hiccuped and then blushed slightly, almost as if she was embarrassed by the way she was behaving.
“I know, Kocho.” You swallowed thickly, biting the inside of your cheek as you sat there. There wasn’t really anything you could do, and you hated it so much. You knew that she had a lot of buried emotions, especially since her sister was killed and she took on Kanae’s personality.
“Y/n.” She set her glass down and looked into your eyes, and for a brief little moment you swore she was sober. “You’re so pretty.”
You frowned and looked away from her, letting out a sigh. “I know, Kocho.” You whispered softly. “But you’re drunk. Everything’s different when you’re drunk.”
MITSURI KANROJI
“OOOOH Y/NNNN” She gushed, swooning over you as you brought in the finest wine in the area, her eyes shining as you set it on the table. It wasn’t the first glass she had tonight, and it definitely wouldn’t be the last.
She was already tipsy, but you figured she could spend the night in one of your guest rooms if she really needed to.
You poured her another glass of wine and smiled as she excitedly took a swig of it, relishing in the taste. “Do you like that?” You chuckled and poured yourself a glass, sipping on it lightly as she nodded in response.
“Oh yes yes yes!” She practically fangirled, fawning over the taste as if she were a connoisseur. “This one is the best so far!”
Mitsuri placed a hand on her cheek and grinned, her cheeks flushed a light hue of pink as she continued to down the wine.
“I’ll have to keep that in mind then.” You winked and smiled.
“Y’know y/n…” She slurred out, a drunken smile gracing her plump lips. “You’re really pretty!” She squealed and blushed as she said it aloud, and you couldn’t help but laugh as you stood from your seat and helped her out of the room.
“Thank you Mitsuri, but you’re drunk.” You replied, chuckling as she whined and stumbled into your arms.
Yeah she was definitely spending the night.
LADY TAMAYO
“You know, I never thought I’d get to see you like this.” Tamayo said softly as the rubbed your forehead, her eyes observing your drunken state.
You had gone out with the corps for drinks, but ended up getting carried away. The whole sight was new to Tamayo, since demons couldn’t get drunk and since you never really drank unless it was a special occasion.
However she liked how you clung to her, needy as ever as she helped you sober up.
Maybe she’d have to get you wasted more often. It would lead to some interesting events, that’s for sure.
“Tamayo…” You placed your hand on her cheek and caressed it softly, giving her a gentle smile as you stared deeply into her eyes. “You’re so pretty. I wish you were my girlfriend.”
She stifled a laugh and smiled down at you, leaning down so she could place a gentle kiss atop your forehead. “You’re drunk, Y/n.” She giggled. “We’ve been dating for seven years now.”
“Fuck yeah.” You cheered and nuzzled into her side, quickly falling asleep in her arms.
Your head was so gonna hurt in the morning.

is kim hot?
AUTHORITY: Do not fall for this trap. You are above him in rank AND above all this as a person.
PERCEPTION: He does have pleasing facial features though - masculine but not harsh. And that voice…
PHYSICAL INSTRUMENT: What, that lanky bino?? Hell no. Stop this homo-nonsense and jerk off to that Dick Mullen cover! To the lady on it, obviously. Not Dick. Stop thinking about dicks!
CONCEPTUALIZATION: Lieutenant’s glasses reflect the moonlight when he tips his head back a bit, exhaling tobacco smoke. The glowing circles of his lenses remind you of the Kineema headlights. Ready to shine the truth on the aspects of *you* that you have forgotten…
ELECTROCHEMISTRY: Like wanting to suck some dick! Of course he is hot, you have already thought about it! Now stop wasting time and get some action!
DRAMA: No need to be so vulgar, sire… He is enigmatic, even enchanting, and deserves to be *wooed* by a true gentleman. Lieutenant is not merely hot - he is beautiful with and without the mask that he wears to face the world.
INLAND EMPIRE. While there is still the world to face.
ESPRIT DE CORPS: In a small apartment in GRIH, Lieutenant Kitsuragi is lighting his nightly cigarette. He stands on a small balcony facing West, trying to make out familiar shapes in the distance. This used to be his time of relaxation, a calming ritual, but after Martinaise he desperately wants his partner by his side.
A stack of rental documents, a transfer request letter, and a oblong pen lie neatly on his desk. A dried may-bell flower is resting on top of his blue notebook.

to sinclair.
*there is a god damn colossal folder of... "special" writing clad in N-corp branding, and a note saying not to mock it because the grip lady will enforce collective punishment for it*
*best option is probably to burn it*
Sinclair doesn’t seem to be in a state to answer this. The moment Sinclair saw this folder, he turned very pale and had to step out of the room. So I, Outis, will be looking through it instead. There’s no point in wasting good intel.

His Sina Lady✨️
Tumblr media
This is a small hc between Levi and my oc ;( I'm sorry it's not y/n x Levi .... I'm just really proud of this moment between them 🫶
There's no warnings actually! It's hurt/comfort drabble <3 + established relationship (sorry if there's any typos + this is my first time writing something like that)
Notes : my oc is actually from Mitras/sina and I Hc that they have a total different dialect from the rest of ppl in the walls , so whenever she tries to talk her accent really stands out. She's a little bit insecure about it now since Levi despises Sina ppl....
It's been a long day in the Survey Corps HQ , it's one of these days were Grace felt like walking on eggshells , everyday is a struggle , but today felt like she could collapse at any given moment.
The Expeditions were delayed to a further due , so there was tons of paperwork to do instead, along with the harsh training, her muscles ached in pain , legs barley carrying her through the hallways , one document is left to deliver to the captain's office and she should be done for the night.
Visiting him wasn't bad, they would sit for a warm cup of tea , working in a comforting silence , they've been seeing eachother for a while now , unexpected but they are trying to figure things out, everything is surprisingly going smooth with no rush at all.
However Grace seemed hesitant on her way , not sure if she should take any step further , she didn't feel like seeing him at all tonight.
His words the other day stuck within her , ringing inside her head like church bells, she was very conscious about herself around him ... to some extent, his opinions about her felt important, she wanted to stand out good and never like a spoiled rotten Sina lady to the humanity strongest...
Grace was confident, always been , it's just hard to maintain that confidence when everyone is throwing her flaws at her face. Traits that she didn't ask to be born with , she would usually brush it off ,but it felt as if her colleagues kept picking up on her accent today as well.
Either joking about how weird she sounded speaking the regular dialect , or that she's just showing off her wealth to remind them of their place. No matter how much she tried to blend in , she's just a silly rich girl in their eyes regardless of the years they have spent working together.
Grace is all over the place , recalling what he said this morning, she wished she never overheard him bitching about Sina's folks to the commander, their way of having an upper class dialect to sound so different from others irritated him.
Although he never made any snarky comments about her way of talking, that still offended her..
Did he kept it all to himself the whole time?
Is this Levi's attempt to be nice to her ? He could've said something , he's not the kind to sugarcoat anyone anyway... why didn't he approach her about it in the first place?
This shouldn't be bothering her so much, she told herself, but it's too much to bear, especially since she's now standing outside his office.
She took a deep breath , assuring herself that it would be over soon and began gently knocking waiting for a response.
"Name and Business?"
" it's m- Grace Nikolai sir" she stated , maintaining her professional manner.
"Get in"
She enters his office quietly after he gave his permission, walking straight forward and placing the documents on his desk.
Levi didn't look up at her as he was fixated on whatever report in his hand, but took a quick glance at the new stack of papers that just arrived and scowled,
" Erwin wants me to sign all of these?"
"Hmm" she added with a nod , Levi muttered what appeared to be a curse under his breath , there's nothing he could do about it, they needed to be done and the captain didn't waste any time into it.
"Aren't you going to sit down?" he gestured at the sofa infront of him while still sticking his eyes into paperwork.
Grace shook her head , hiding her hands behind her back while he looked at her in confusion , "you will stay like that until I'm done with these??"
"Hmm" she hummed avoiding his eyes , fidgeting with the end of her sleeve , Levi raised one eyebrow, not getting exactly what's happening with her , she's giving him noises instead of actually talking directly to him , he huffed and shifted back in his seat crossing his arms, " it will take time"
She shrugged at his comment, remaining silent, which started to irk him even more ,
"Did your tongue got cut or what?"
Another shook from her head was all he got.
"Grace speak for fucks sake" his tone wasn't harsh yet demanding , this isn't like her at all..he thought , she seemed to zone out for a moment , Levi closed his eyes in frustration and let out a sigh , his gaze softens when he looks back at her ,
"Hey what's wrong?"
Her emotions got the best of her, she couldn't suppress the sharp pain in her throat , fighting back tears as she's trying to gasp for air , shame is swallowing her , she never felt this small infront of anyone and out of all people...it had to be him.
It didn't take her long to leave his office , running down the stairs as quickly as possible , she won't let him see her like that, she can't cry for a man even for him .
Her ankle twisted causing her to yelp , this was the cherry on top for everything, not to mention that she just embarrassed herself infront her captain, how absurd ...
She sat down hugging her knees to her chest, finally allowing her tears to fall down.
How stupid she was for doing that , she blamed herself, she just proved that she's indeed a silly rich sina lady, it never mattered to her...but now it hit her hard, it hurted so much...being reduced to nothing other than a pretty, good for nothing doll..
Maybe Levi is right? Maybe everyone saw what she couldn't, She was just too ignorant to look at it.
Slowly steps were making its way towards Grace , she was turning her back at him ,
He finally found her , hugging herself tightly as if she's trying to shield her body, he wonders what pushed her to be in this state, it broke him to see her like that , let alone the fact that she tried to hide how she felt away from him....
He quietly approached her, sitting down leaving some space between them , he crossed his arms looking down at his boots , " Did you get diarrhea? Leaving my office so dramatically like that ?"
Silent chuckles were barley heard from her and she lifted her head up to face him, eyes swollen , her grey eyelids almost becoming red , a deep frown crossed her face.
Grace stood up ,forgetting her unfortunate twisted ankle, another yelp escaped her mouth returning back down next to him,
" Did you hurt yourself?" Levi asked with a concerned tone reaching out to her ,
" yeah felt like it, should've broken my neck instead "
Levi clicked his tongue in annoyance firmly holding her hand, "don't say shit like that, let's get you to the infirmary "
"LEAVE ME ALONE!"
His eyes widened at her reaction , he loosened his grip over her hand and before he could say anything, Grace was quick to shoot him another furious look ,
"Just... why do you want to help a spoiled sina bitch like me ??"
"What..?? The fuck you're talking about??"
Grace hid her face again in embarrassment, sobbing non stop while he's awkwardly standing , not really sure how to fix something he accidentally broke due to his lack of attention,
"Just go !! Leave!! So you don't have to tolerate my ridiculous way of talking!"
"Grace , I can't understand shit from what you are trying to say ,What's wrong with the way you talk ??"
Her face was a mess, her long eyelashes are all wet from the uncontrollable tears , Levi kneeled down to her , his thumb brushing over her cheeks.
She can't bring herself to look at him in the eye , she's pouting at his touch which made him withdraw to let her wipe her face ,
" does my background piss you off? The way I talk ...??"
"No...No ? Why would it bother me?"
something sparked into his mind , recalling this morning events , he remembered being so fed up after he met few higher ups from the MP along with Erwin, he didn't like how they spoke with them and it clearly pissed him off , they happened to have the same accent as Grace too...which he clearly forgot about ..
" Did.. you perhaps heard what...
... what i said in that meeting ?"
She nodded , biting her lower lip,
" unfortunately yeah "
she closed her eyes and sighed, "I know... you didn't really meant that..they got on your nerves".
Grace clinched her fist staring at the ground,
" it's just... hearing that coming from you hurted me alot, do you always have to put an act with me because you hate how I speak?"
guilt was eating him alive, he wasn't expecting that, not in a million years.
She cried... fucking cried because of this mouth of his, he can't for the love of god control anything about his sharp words ..
If anything..Grace proved his assumptions wrong the moment he met her, she wasn't anything like them...to him at least.
He really didn't mean it..he utters bullshit blinded by his anger...his tongue slipped this morning and he needed to make it up to her at all costs.
Levi clenched his jaw, a deep crease forming between his eyebrows, he cleared his throat fixing his collar shirt,
" what I said.. you shouldn't take it to heart"
"Yeah?" She muttered, making a low chuckle , trying to wipe her face with her sleeve until he stopped it , taking out a handkerchief from his jacket pocket , he hesitated for a second before coming closer but she didn't seem to mind his touch " Don't get them dirty idiot"
" Not very appropriate for a lady like me no?"
" No it's fucking disgusting "
Grace scoffed rolling her eyes at him , Levi tilted his head, adjusting the few strands of hair behind her ear , " I didn't.. mean it...the shit I said.."
" I know Captain..just forget it..I'm the one who's sensitive and took it personally-"
"Fuck no .. can you just let me ?"
She realised how worked up he was over it... which made her feel bad for him , she knows how bold and rough he can get, he never judged her for who she is but it sucked when she heard that.
" it wasn't directed at you...I wasn't having any of their shit ..it turned out like that"
Levi took a deep breath, his chest felt tight , he was a man of few words and he needed to express himself in the right way without messing it up , Grace knew he was doing his best into this ,which was very much appreciated.
" so.. don't think less of yourself Grace" , he leaned closer resting his forhead on hers ,
He held her hands , his thumb brushing over her palms ,
" People keep treating me as if I'm the one who chose to be born like this , I understand why they may think like that .. but I wasn't privileged either"
"I know" he whispered, he knows it , better than anyone, being looked down because of his birthplace , people kept shoving it into his face in his first years on the surface. She never made him feel less of himself because of it, yet he did it to her instead , he was so ashamed of himself ,
" I couldn't help but feel so stupid sir "
He gave her a silent nod,
" You made me feel so small " She smacked his chest sobbing, " you can't expect me to always get the meaning behind your harsh words on my own !!"
" Grace look at me "
He lifts her chin up to meet his gaze, his thumb softly rubbing her cheek , then slowly pulling her closer to his embrace.
He gave her a gentle kiss on the shoulder,
"Sorry" Levi whispered into her ear, and she couldn't hold her cries any longer, Grace buried her face into his chest while he gently rubbed her back, his soft lips brushed against her hair, reassuring her.
Grace pulled back from him, still not looking into his eyes but she noticed how she left a stain onto his jacket, she gasped, "Your Jacket !!! "
He eyed his shoulder then returned his gaze back to her , " It's nothing"
" give it to me I will wash it!"
" you will be taken to the infirmary "
Leaving no chance for her to resist, she was already being held and lifted up , his strong arms carrying like she weights nothing to him , "I.. can walk on my own " she murmured,
" yeah not when you are about to break your neck running down these stairs"
She couldn't help but giggle at his remark , which made him huff and scowl at her ,
" Get mad at me all you want but don't fucking hurt yourself while you're at it tch.."
" Roger that sir ".
