Just like Tiala, he chooses his words carefully since he doesn’t want to upset or offend other people. He’s also an older brother figure for his comrades. Since he always bail them out from any troubles that they have caused. But he still needs to think of a punishment if they went TOO far. 🇦🇸 Hilarious: Kanoa is the most FUNNIEST guy you will ever met. Always make a good joke to keep them laughing and make them forget all of the bad things that happened. 🇦🇸 He’s the 2nd brother that Tiala is really close to after his older brother, Hōne, had passed away 🇦🇸 Kanoa will give you dad jokes 24/7 and even gives you the most embarrassing story about his brothers and his sister. But NEVER about himself. 🇦🇸 He’s always the first one to ask his comrades of who wanted to arm wrestle with him. If they win, he’ll get them ice cream. 🇦🇸 Give good love relationship advice but never get one for himself. (He’s single as heck man and he’s in his 30s!)

Background Story:

Kanoa was proudly born and raised on the island. The funniest man you will ever meet. He joined the Military at the age of 17. Which means he signed up right after High School. Just to keep the family lines going. He was really inspired by his dad, Nakoa, hearing his stories of joining the military.

He signed up with Rangi, his 3rd eldest brother, for the Marine Corps and they both started working hard on reaching to the top. He had also met his other older brother, named Hōne. Who was a Lieutenant at that time. Always make good fun with him during their military times. Until he heard the news of Hōne being KIA from one of the missions. It really took a toll on him.

But he kept going as he worked even harder to pass up the ranks. Until he reached up to the rank of being a Corporal. That’s when he met his sister, Tiala, who is a Private. He was happy and proud to see his little sister working hard to honor their older brother’s name. Until 4 years later, he found out about Tiala volunteering. To go on a solo mission to find out about the intel of the next location; by being the pretend victim for one of the human trafficking.

He’s not very sure about this mission until he gives in to Tiala reasoning with him. But how much he wishes he could take his words back. Finding out that his little sister has been taken away by the enemies. He was devastated and angry to hear this news. So he asks permission from the General to let him and the team he chooses to find her. FAST.

He didn’t give up on searching for Tiala until 2 months later. He finally found her. From the location where no one even KNEW it was there. He raided into the enemies hide out and unalive almost everyone without hesitating.

He took her back and stayed with her in the medical bay. Kanoa was heartbroken to see her in this state and that’s when he decided to make his own special team. He named it “Warriors Task Force”. And started working under one of the Generals of the Marine Corps, Alana Kalani.

He promised himself to bring protection and justice to the people who were victims from the trafficking and being hostages. And that’s when he became Captain of the Marine Corps.

A fun little piece of oc lore but the Saints did worship their own Gods. Like multiple different ones. The Galaxy where we see most of the main saints worshipped the Goddess of Motherhood, the God of death and the Goddess of despair. However, other galaxies worshipped other Gods within this mythology (For example, one of the Gods from Lady Vendassius' original galaxy that was worshipped was the Goddess of war).

Within the mythology it was believed that the Gods had begun their own wars and battles which led to them being sealed in other galaxies/dimensions so they could no longer harm one another.

This also adds onto Durrow Mythology (A mythology that belonged to a long destroyed planet called Durrow) as Tye Loe, in order to hide himself during the 19th charge, would worship these long believed to be dead Titans like many others in the galaxy.

loe, idk if you have it, but in case you do, do you know where the sentence "it's the strongest/only emotion you've ever felt." came from? it's referring to the feeling of being so unlovable that the moment someone does love us, it feels so foreign that we would rather go back to feeling unloved. i think it's an article, the author responds to someone who wrote to them. i don't have the publisher, website name, or authors name though. thanks in advance, man.

The Ford Mustang once you change the body and the tires and stuff suspension and get it ready it's like an inch higher it doesn't it's not noticeable and this is more or less gonna be the street version it would look like this and the rear end is different it just doesn't have the race car stuff and this is hardly any other changes we would make the induction is massive it's just way too big but that's how they have it and you have to have way for the air to get out so you'd have to shoot it out then like that louver is above the tire or something but maybe you go faster it doesn't but it would alleviate the pressure until we get a mid engine now this would work actually. And we would have to work at it pretty good but it would be close the top of the Mustang Is about three inches higher but when you lower it and you put the new tires and rims on it's only about an inch and 3/4 higher hardly noticeable. The rear window is a problem but there is a panel there and you take the quarter panel off the rear quarter and you can rework part of the rear window framing can you pull the window out and we'll put a panel in and it has a window in it and it's shaped differently and it meets up with the new quarter panels to form what you see in the GT40 here this is a great idea they're doing all sorts of stuff like this and everybody wants AGT 40 matter of fact I'm gonna put this in right now to do they already making the old one but it looks old and our son says it's our design and he's sick of them using their design and it would just beat the **** out of him until we can sell it that's all and we're gonna do that. This is an awesome idea and we believe it's hers and she's smiling and says it is and I noticed what he said before and he's happy because she remembers.

Chapter 8: Origins of The Angel

We go back to the inn, and have lunch while Liliya chats up the patrons (since she doesn't need to eat)

Kai requests the most tasteless thing on the menu, and ends up with raw beets.

Kellog would be proud of her, except maybe he'd be disappointed that she doesn't get yogurt enemas

Anywho we as a party agreed to solve the church's "somebody stole the saints bones and now our church is defenseless against the monsters that would attack us because we're housing someone Strahd "marked"" problem

Coz it's a bit of a liability to leave a Strahd magnet in the city's church

Liliya does ask around for information about other things, such as the whereabouts of the dusk elf that Kai is seeking (in hopes he can stop the growing void in her face) some details on the windmill.

Liliya tries to hit on some nobles and gets rejected (she rolled too low) she meets an elf who does give us some leads as to which Vistani camp has the dusk elf and the fact that the pie lady lives at the windmill we found (that we technically own now... so like... is she trespassing actually??)

Anywho after we all eat we go to church ⛪️

The party asks to speak with the alter boy who was the only other person who knew where the bones were

We ask if he told anyone and he's like "... No..."

Kai determines this is a lie by "tophing it up" (Which for people who haven't seen ATLA means she's barefoot and sensing through the ground if he's lying)

Surprise surprise he's lying. We convince him to tell us who he told, it was an older boy named Milivoj who was asking him if anything valuable was at the church

After assuring the boy that he didn't do anything wrong and making sure the priest won't beat him we gather info of where Milivoj is. Turns out he helps out at the city orphanage.

The party devises a scheme ✨️

Liliya and Lucerian pretend to be a married couple as we have Amahlia wait outside (because she'd scare the kids. Also her player was feeling unwell and was happy to be sidelined)

Kai and Fauna as druids use wild shape to sneak around in the meantime

Kai turns into a flea, Fauna turns into a rat which Kai rides on

Soo weird shit is happening in this chillies orphanage

The kids are covered in bruises that the orphanage staff can't figure the origin for

Kai does a ton of medicine checks to see what her professional opinion is. I rolled well so she got the information she could. Basically they look like they've been savagely beaten

She examined some girls (as a flea) using their own eyes as they played dolls

The dolls they were playing involved them killing each other. This is played to be ominous and a result of the dark world they live in... though… I am pretty sure this is normal for little girls.

Anywho we got the info we could from that and decide to keep exploring

The druids find a kitchen, the only noteworthy thing being a missing butcher knife. Kai checks for dust to see if it's been missing long. No dust. Nada. A kid is wandering around with a butcher knife yall, this is not a drill

Next they head to some bedrooms and find a filthy room with a strange older boy writhing around as I'd having a nightmare

If Kai had a better relationship with her Quori spirit I could have had her read the dream but alas Kai does not have this  

(Context: Kai is a Kalashtar which is a humanoid that comes from the union of human and Quori spirit. Quori spirits dominate the dream realm, this is how they can perform telepathy)

Kai slips into human form, fauna crawls onto of the boy and covers his mouth as she too resumes form

Kai does medicine checks on the boy and Casts detect magic to determine if he's cursed with something and if so - what?

Loe and behold it's a spell of the necromancy persuasion. Just as Kai checks his vitals to make sure the kid isn't a zombie his eyes open.

He's fuckin confused

But he's hardly comatose, he's in awful condition and not even verbal enough to make a muffled noise. Cautiously Kai requests Fauna to uncover his mouth. He remains unable to speak

Kai casts lesser restoration, this allows the boy to speak for a solid minute. He confirms that he's Milivoj and that he's in a lot of pain before being unable to speak again. Kai is able to determine that Milivoj isn't long for this world. So Kai sets out to find the cleric (Liliya) because if anyone can help him it's her. Fauna volunteers to stay behind and monitor the boy

Kai turns into a chameleon, climbs out a window, and up to the second floor which is where Liliya and Lucerian are at that moment

While this was happening Liliya and Lucerian had been talking to the headmistress of the orphanage.

Headmistress talks about how things went to shit after they took in a boy named Felix whose parents were killed

Felix is a weird ass child who's arrival marked a decline in quality of life at the orphanage.  The kids are plagued with nightmares, bruises too of unidentified origins. A kid named Cedric fell out the 2nd floor window and is now in critical condition. Runes appeared carved in the bed frames too that they can't identify

Lucerian and Liliya can speak Celestial and Abyssal between the two of them so they can decipher the runes

"Dark dreams" is what they say

Normal decor for your kids room ✨️

Notably they can't seem to find Felix either

It's here when Kai as a chameleon gets within range to speak into Liliya's mind that they found Milivoj and he's about to die.

The headmistress watches as Liliya's demeanor immediately changes from normal to concern. Then watches her go off to the side of the hall to pick up a chameleon, which notably has no eyes and a void where they should be.

Headmistress : uh what whatcha got there

Liliya: oh its my pet chameleon.

Kai:* flicking her tongue even tho I don't think chameleons actually do that*

Liliya: also uhm. I must go! My goddess demands I go help Milivoj

The head mistress is confused

Like how did this cleric even know who Milivoj is?

Or where he was?

But she does buy into the explanation that this was some form of divine intervention.

They go into his room and

Uh

Fauna is just there

She wasn't hiding or in an animal form

Just standing there

Head mistress is like "Uh… Who is that?"

Kai speaks into her mind in Faunas voice : "it is I. I am an angel sent to help"

Fauna is clued in with a separate telepathic message of “psst. Play along” before she can break the deception.

"Ah uhm yes. It is I. An angel" Fauna bullshits along with Kai.

Dm rolls to see if the headmistress buys into it

Headmistress will believe literally anything we tell her

"Are all angels blue like you?" She asks, fascinated

"Uh.. yeah we come in all forms" Fauna continues to bullshit

Anyway meanwhile Liliya is using magic to keep him from dying, it's not enough to cure the boy but it does keep him alive

"Anyway I must go. My work here is done" Fauna says before turning into a cricket, effectively vanishing into thin air as far as the eye can see. 

Liliya also uses "detect good and evil" which is a cleric spell. She detects a presence of evil in a locket Felix came to the orphanage with.

We figure it's time to find Felix. So they task Kai and Fauna to go find him while they investigate further.

The druids dont find him anywhere on the ground level or second floor, so they go to the attic

There's hardly any furnishings in the old dusty attic and a single window to the outside

In the ray of sunshine there's a boy with his back turned to the attic entrance

Kai climbs up the walls and on the ceiling to get closer and remain undetected

With Fauna riding on Kai coz ig it's her turn to be the steed

Then the boy just says (unprovoked) "you don't need to hide like that"

After a moment of stunned silence she speaks into his mind "May I ask how you knew someone with wild shape was near you?"

"Oh, my friends told me" he ominously answers. Kai crawls down the wall and resumes human form, but Fauna remains a cricket.

Kai sees he's using the butcher knife from the kitchen to carve a wooden doll

"Whatcha got there"

"Oh just a doll."

"Is it a special kind of doll?"

"Only if someone wants to use it :))" he says as he stabs the knife into the doll's eye.

"May I ask who your "friends"are"

"Oh they're around" :)))

Kai is essentially pushing the panic button as she tries to play it cool

And by panic button I mean she's broadcasting to Liliya and Lucerian that they found Felix and the boy is fuckin weird

Liliya and Lucerian receive this message and cut their conversation short with the head mistress and dash for the attic after telling the head mistress to go get the lady they left outside (Amahlia) and tell her to go to the attic.

Liliya and Lucerian arrive

"Oh I was waiting for you to join me. I can't wait for you to bleed… that Cedric didn't bleed much.. but my parents did" Felix delightfully says as the window he sat in front of starts to supernaturally dim

A shadowy mass pulls itself up from behind the boy and in a dark voice that I did not expect my DM to voice act nearly as well as he did says

Elder Gong

Each time Elder Gong visits Mexcio he shows such great love and interest to everyone that he comes in contact with. I was asked to be at the Stake Center to take pictures of Elder Gong from 2:00 to 8:30. I t was an interesting experience being in a cultural hall full of men and only one other woman. The afternoon meeting Stake and Mission Presidents.. I tried to slip in as many places as I could without being noticed, but I am afraid I many have been noticed, I wasn’t wearing a tie and a suit.

At dinner we ate with the Area President’s wives and Sister Gong. Tracy needed to talk with one of the Mission Presidents and so we stood by the door where they were having dinner, and those ladies insisted that we come in and eat dinner with them. They are pretty wonderful people, they are all accomplished. I have stopped being intimidated though, we are all just peole trying to do our best.

After dinner we went back to the Stake Center where Elder and Gong spoke to Bishops and their wives. The chapel as well as the cultural hall was completely filled. When the meeting was done Elder Gong said that everyone could go home if they would like, but he would love to meet them if they would like to. I don’t think I saw one person leave.

A few days later we had a devotional at the church near the Area Office, Elder Gong noticed that I didn’t have my camera and said, “Oh that is nice that you just get to listen this time.”

During that devotional Sister Gong said,’ Prayerfully use your own resources (including scriptures and Prophets) when the tine comes for course correction, he will give the direction as we put one foot in foot of the other, even if we have a double burden.’

Elder Gong said, ‘What can we do better now for the blessings the Loes souls like to give us.’ He is willing to bless us, but are we willing to receiving throw e blessings.

Some lore about Serys Vendassius

(Important: Some of this lore may change later)

-Serys Vendassius was born in a different galaxy to Seri Beldoe and had a twin brother named Seith Calach. As a child, Serys's mother separated her and her brother, giving Seith to the saints while Serys was given to a Harrow known as Lord Vendassius.

-Serys was raised as if she was the daughter of Lord Vendassius, becoming known as Lady Serys Vendassius and mostly being treated as a pawn to her father's games. This got to a point where Lord Vendassius planned to marry Serys off to another lord, in order to gain more power. However, after being told to remove the ring her mother had given her as a final present so that the only ring she wore would be the ones for her marriage, Serys killed Lord Vendassius and became the new lead of the Vendassius house.

-After this point, Serys began to change, becoming more powerful as she learned about her mother's powers that she had used to create her and her brother, becoming more involved in being a Harrow and a lady of her house. She became more confident, resulting in her rise to power before eventually becoming the Harrow known as Hex Marrow.

-Serys soon led a double life, being both a powerful lady who led chamber meetings and a powerful Harrows who had equally powerful Saints killed for her own personal gain. This is what caught the attention of Saint Seith Calach, her own brother.

-Serys took one final turn when, turning an encounter where Seith tried to redeem her by bringing her over to be redeemed as a Saint, Serys ended up killing her brother, snapping his neck and breaking the balance their mother had tried to make by separating them in the first place.

-After this, it is believed that this is when Serys met Hal Fauste for the first time, bringing her through a galactic rift which landed her in his "care" before being placed in the care of the Saints from this time and creating a new life for herself by becoming a trusted allied for the Saints on the chambers for this new galaxy.

-At this point, it's where her old younger life ends and her new elder life begins.

-Serys was now only known as Lady Vendassius, this mysterious woman who seemed to know more than she let on. She was dramatic and a gossip but that was what made her such a powerful ally to the Saints in the first place, even if they didn't know the full truth about who she was, like why she wore two rings and claimed that only one was truly hers, or why she covered her neck and arms so often.

-Lady Vendassius would mostly be a quiet ally at this point, as there wasn't a lot for her to do. That was, however, before she learnt of how Soren Inei with his student Tye Loe Madon had gone through a galactic rift to the planet Nosomia, and had some how come back with a new student named Mazen Xa-Qui. Wanting to learn more, Serys became more involved with the Saints, basically making sure she became close with Mazen and discovering that her first thoughts were true: she and Mazen had come from the same galaxy and he was as powerful as his ancestor from over seventy years before.

-It's important to note that Lady Vendassius at this point had many lies that she was telling, her true identity, her true intentions, even her true age. But there was still people at this time who knew that Lady Vendassius wasn't who she claimed, for example is Sylas and Uttara.

-Of course, this is what begins Mazen's downfall and her own, as she began manipulating Mazen to seeing her as both a grandmother and mother figure in his life, making him believe lies which eventually led to the birth of Zena and the beginning of the 19th charge, which only 26 years later would end up causing her own demise.

-After the 19th charge, Lady Vendassius became Empress Vendassius, but more importantly, she was finally, truly, her full sense as Hex Marrow.

For my Anthony Rubio Designs Fashion Show for Los Angeles Fashion Week 2023, we received many many applications from models which made it so difficult to pick and choose only twenty. Among the models was this young lady who immediately appealed to me. Little did I know how her presence would affect me. She arrived and greeted everyone and came over to me for us to pick a dress and when I looked up I was immediately taken by her. What presence and such poise. Rob brought a dress over which I dismissed questioning why he wanted to cover her all up. He then divulged that she was only 20 years old at which point I broke into laughter. I realized what he was saying but with that figure I knew exactly what I wanted to put on her and she was so thrilled. See for yourself how captivating she turned out. I always say that the canine/feline models are the best to work with because they have no issues when it comes to my show. They know they are the stars and that I am all about their comfort and safety. They never give us a hard time. One such star is our Bogie who is getting on in his years but still wants to be included so he opened up our show. Bogie loves the runways and he especially loes the pretty ladies. This was his and his brother Kimba's 19th Fashion Week show and they continue to rock it...
