I'm rereading gallagher girls and can I just say I'd Tell You I'd Love You But Then I'd Have to Kill You is so funny if you think about it from Josh's perspective.

Like you're just vibing at a fair and then all the sudden you see a girl reaching her hand into a trashcan to grab a soda bottle, you make eye contact and the first thing she says is "I have a cat." You have a silly little conversation about her cat who loves bottles, and learn she is homeschooled for religious reasons and then you leave thinking she's cute.

Then you run into her a few more times including at outside your neighbors surprise party, that she claims she was going to but then never enters. You ask this girl how to keep in touch because you like her, and she says no phone or email, leave notes in this wall instead???? You try to figure out what church this "homeschooled for religious reasons and doesn't have a phone" girl goes to and you have no idea.

You start dating her-still messaging through the wall- she never lets you take her home, she gets really confused when you give her a present on her birthday, almost like she forgot it was her birthday?

Then your friend claims that your girlfriend isn't actually homeschooled, she actually goes to the super exclusive boarding school for rich girls in your home town. When you catch her outside the school, she breaks up with you, claiming she was bored and that's why she dated you and then she IMMEDIATELY GETS KIDNAPPED.

So you do what any normal person would do, you call the cops. you try and rescue her and she's mad about it??? Claims it was a school thing??? And now she's fighting people off and ziplinning away while saying she never had a cat???

So your next rational move is to steal a forklift and drive it through the wall to save your girlfriend from whatever craziness she's involved in.

Then you're taken back to the boarding school, learn its actually a school for spies, your girlfriend is a spy and has lied to you about every single detail about herself, even down to her birthday and her dad being dead. Literally nothing you know about this girl except for her first name is true, and you've been dating for months.

And then her mom gives you special tea that makes you forget everything since she dumped you and you immediately start dating your girl best friend.

I was rereading LYKY and in chapter 9 Cammie says she didn't want there to be a file with Josh's name on it in Langley. To which I laughed and said out: "Oh Cammie, what am I reading?". Because the books are mission reports.

And it hit me, that I'm reading the report. Meaning I have clearance. We're Gallagher Girls! We are spies. Because we have access to these reports! How cool is that?

I think one of the most hilarious moments in LYKY (there's honestly so many) is when Cammie's getting ready for her date with Josh and because she told him that she has a cat, they take Professor Buckingham's cat, Onyx, and proceed to rub the cat on Cammie's clothes so she has some cat hair on her. Because in their minds, Josh could get suspicious of Cammie if she didn't have any physical evidence of having a cat and would immediately know she was lying.

They're all so unhinged, I could not love them more.

Rereading LYKY, and I will never not tear up at the part where Cammie sees Rachel crying in her office on Matt's birthday. Never.

If Zach went to find Josh in the LYKY epilogue, why didn't Josh recognized Zach when he saw him again?

So we know in the epilogue that Zach went in there and talked to Josh very briefly just kind of trying to dig up as much information as he could. We also know that he was kind of in disguise. Remember, we learn in DJGC that subtle differences is all it takes.

With that being said, I don’t think Josh remembered or recognized Zach because of how quick and non-impressionable the interaction was. Zach didn’t leave much to be desired. It was a quick look around the room and he was out.

In OSOT, when cam comes back, zach says it's different, and he seem a bit distance quite a while, with him & bex always together. Do you think he's also mad at cam that's why? Or something else?

Oh my poor Zachy boy…

Zach’s mad. He’s furious with Cam. He’s pissed at her.

But not for the reasons we think.

Zach is the one who gave Cammie the idea of running away. He said so in OGSY. He told Cam that they should run. That they would keep each other safe. And Cam told him no. Cammie told him that that was not an option.

And what does she do? She leaves without him and she runs.

Zach doesn’t know where she is. She didn’t leave a note for anyone, she didn’t say goodbye, she’s just gone.

Zach has nobody. He can’t go home. He can’t go to his mom. He can’t go back to school. He doesn’t know if Cammie is even alive until they find her in Switzerland. And during that time he has Bex. And Bex is the only constant in his life that summer. She is the only one keeping his feet on the ground and keeping him from doing something stupid. Because if he can’t find Cammie, what does he have left? Joe’s in a coma for goodness sake.

And then to make matters worse, Cam comes back and she’s different. She can’t remember anything from that summer. He doesn’t even want to think about what she could’ve endured. He doesn’t want to process that. Between the sessions with Dr. Steve, the weapons incident, the memory loss, the fact that the Circle is still out there…

He tried to find Cam and he failed.

Things are different between them and while Cam is trying to process that and her missing summer, Zach is trying to process the fact that anything could have happened to Cammie and there was nothing he could do to stop that.

Why did townsend just let Joe go?

I'm assuming you're talking about the London bridge scene in OGSY, right?

Either way I personally think that Townsend just had a flight or freeze moment. I think he hesitated. I think he's just so sure that Joe is the bad guy but I think he hesitated because of the time and place and the amount of people that were present. I think he just always hesitates when it comes to Joe Solomon.

So in OSOT, cam thought Bex and Zach became a couple. Can you imagine what zach would say/feel if he found out she thought of that?

It’s not easy being gone for an entire summer. It’s not easy finding out that the memories of your entire summer are gone too.

Cammie was struggling. She felt like an outsider looking in on her life. Her best friends were mad at her. They were walking on eggshells around her. Her favorite teacher was nowhere to be found. And she was almost positive that her best friend had stolen her boyfriend.

Okay not that Cammie and Zach had exactly discussed or confirmed that they were together. Everyone knew it though. That boy looked at Cam like she was the reason there were stars in the sky. That is… until she ran away.

Cammie had been trying and failing for weeks now to remember her summer. It was just one big blank slate. It was an itch she was dying to scratch. And nothing was helping.

So when they finally got a lead from Preston Winters no less, they were gone in a flash. And sitting there on a plane that was headed to Ireland with her best friends, her favorite aunt, and her new CoveOps teacher, there was only one question that she wanted to ask.

Cammie sat in the middle seat, Macey sitting diagonally from her. Liz sat in the seat across from Cam with Zach in the middle beside her. Bex took up residence right behind the couple and Cam felt the fear tremble in her throat.

Cam didn’t know exactly where Aunt Abby and Agent Townsend had gone but she didn’t really care. She was too focused on the immediate people that were around her. And for the first time in weeks, she didn’t feel like she was dangerous.

“If you keep biting your lip like that, there’s gonna be no more skin to it, Gallagher Girl,” Zach said, making Cammie turn to him.

“Sorry,” she said automatically. That was what she always seemed to say these days. That five letter word falling from her mouth over and over again.

“Hey, talk to me. What’s up?” Zach asked softly, looking her in the eyes.

Cammie had to remind herself that this was Zach she was talking about. And that it was Bex. Her best friend and her boyfriend. But she also has to remind herself that she was the one who left them.

“She’s brilliant. And charming. And she has legs for days,” Cammie said, looking at her best friend who now held her gaze. “The accent. The fact that she’s the only one here who could beat you in hand to hand combat and still make it to class on time.” Then she looked at Zach. “It’s okay, you know.”

And now Zach was staring at her like she was crazy. He looked at Bex who was mirroring his expression, having heard every word. “What are you talking about, Gallagher Girl?”

Cammie sighed and shook her head. “You and Bex,” she said like it was obvious.

Bex piped in then. “Me and Zach?” Bex stared at her best friend. The girl that had ran away all summer. The girl that had stuck by her side since the sixth grade. Her sister in almost every sense of the word. One of the few people in this world that she would actually kill for. “Me… and the Blackthorne Boy?”

And that was when Cammie realized that she was being ridiculous. Of course she was. But she had seen the two of them. Bex pushing her away. They spent the whole summer together. They worked out together. Had all the same classes. Right?

And then Bex laughed. And Zach mirrored the action. And Cammie wanted to hide.

“Oh come on, Cam! Me and Zach? Are you bloody serious?” She laughed, throwing her head back.

Macey and Liz turned in their seats, finally listening to the conversation that had ensued. They exchanged glances between the bewildered girls and boy. And Bex kept laughing.

“Cammie thought…” she wheezed another laugh through her nose. “She actually thought that…” Zach was laughing harder then, reaching for Cammie’s hand. “She thought me and Zach had hooked up for the summer!”

Cam slid down in her seat and turned away from the group of girls, feeling foolish and embarrassed. Of course that hadn’t happened. Bex would never do that to her. She was her best friend. Her sister. Her partner.

“Oh Cammie, no! Of course not! Zach is the best thing that’s ever happened to you!” Liz exclaimed, her brain working a mile a second. “Tell her Zach! Of course you would have never gotten with Bex!”

Zach smiled at Cammie and reached for her hand again. “Come on, Gallagher Girl. Look at me,” he said, squeezing her fingers a bit. “Please?”

Cammie sighed and met Zach’s gaze. He brought his free hand up and brushed it against her cheek. He touched the faded scares on her head for just a moment, before dropping his hand. “You’re the only one that matters to me. It’s us against the world, Gallagher Girl! Or did you forget that too?”

And Cammie finally smiled at him, before turning back to her friends. Despite the obvious circumstances, she was glad they were there with her. She was glad they were there for her. And she knew then, that they would do anything for her.

No matter what.
