Rex and Quetzalcoatl had a pair of twins that they cared for very much. A girl named Maria, and a boy named Eduardo.

The twins were born on the 25th of September, and that date had arrived so it was time to celebrate their birthday!

In the morning, Mari was peacefully asleep.

Mari: *SNOOOOOOORE!*

Quetz, softly: mijaaaaaaa....

Mari: mmm....!

Quetz: mijaaaaaaa.....!

Mari, sleepily: mama..... I wanna..... sneeeeep......!

Quetz: but mija, it's your birthday today....!

Mari: hmmm.....

Quetz: did you hear me, mija?

Mari: *grumble* ok..... *sigh* I'm getting up already.

Mari got up, still very tired.

Mari: Da hell's my glasses?

Quetz handed her her glasses.

Mari: gracias....

Quetz: you should probably hurry, everyone else is already getting ready.

Mari: who the hell is everyone else?

Quetz: just the rest of the family.

Mari: hmmmm.... okay...... was worried I'd have to deal with a party.....

Quetz: don't worry, we know you don't enjoy those. It'll be just the family.

Mari: good....

After some time getting ready, Maria went out into the living room.

Mari, while yawning: ok.... how long will it take to get there again?

Rex: uh... not too long, maybe an hour or so on the serpent.

Ed: still crazy how fast he can be.

Quetz: well of course my familiar would be fast! It'd be a bit disappointing otherwise.

After a bit of time getting ready, the family went outside to see Quetz's pterosaur outside ready to go!

Quetz: ok everyone! Get on!

The family got onto the large flying reptile.

Rex: ok then. Now just a simple invisibility spell so we're not spotted on our way there.

Ed: radar won't work either right?

Rex: right, I've got everything covered, Mijo.

After that, the beast took off!

After some time in the air, their destination was in sight: Mexico City!

Ed: wow!

Mari: such a massive city.

Quetz: ah, it's been too long since we've been here.

Finally the pterosaur landed and they got off to go out into the city!

Rex: man, this place brings back memories!

Ed: so, where to first anyways?

Quetz: it's up to you guys

Mari: breakfast!

Rex: ok yeah, should probably eat first

*stomachs were growling*

The family went to a nice restaurant for their breakfast.

Quetz: mija, those are a lot of pancakes...

Mari: si, and?

Rex: your mother is just a bit concerned for you is all.

Mari: hmmm, sounds unnecessary.

Rex: also Ed, is that enough bacon?

Ed: hmmm.... maybe.

After breakfast, there were still many things that could be done.

First thing, was visiting the old site of Teotihuacan.

Quetz: *sigh* it's been a very long time.....

Mari: looks kinda.... decrepit.

Rex: kinda par for the course with old ruins and shit.

Ed: ....is there a ball court?

Quetz: si, but I doubt we're allowed to play these days.

Ed: awww....

Next stop, was the Aquarium.

Mari: Shork

Ed: Shork

Rex: ya real fascinated by those sharks huh?

Quetz: don't ya wanna see the penguins?

Ed: Penguins?!?!

Rex: also piranhas.

Mari: PIRANHAS?!?!?!

Next was the Zoo

Rex: mi corazon, it's just a random Jaguar. There's no need to cause a scene.

Quetz: I CAN SEE MY STUPID BROTHER TAUNTING ME THROUGH IT'S EYES!!!!

Mari: Mamá, not every Jaguar is Tio Tez.

Ed: we're gonna get kicked out if you don't stop.....

Rex: really hope there aren't any spiders too.

Another fun site, was the museum.

Ed: so..... this is Piedra del Sol?

Quetz: si

Mari: but... so is your noble phantasm?

Quetz: si

Ed: ....how does that work?

Rex: don't ask too many questions about this kinda stuff. You'll get it eventually.

Finally, it was getting a bit late. So it was time to return home.

Mari: we getting the presents now?!?!?

Rex: si, si. You relax will ya?

Ed: you already know she can be a bit greedy.

Quetz: it's better that you try to relax that, Mija.

When they finally got home, a Large assortment of presents were waiting for them.

Mari: Hell yeah!

Ed: hmmmmmm......

Mari: let's see.... which one first....

Mari first grabbed one with.... very unique wrapping, eyes and other odd things decorated the paper.

When she unwrapped it, what was inside was a plush wolf

Mari: AAAWWW!!!

Ed, opening a similar box, got a plush Narwhal.

Ed: oooooh!

And the horn started to glow

Ed: huh

Rex: ....that's a sword

Quetz: it's definitely a sword

Mari: also, my plush smells poisonous.

Rex: well.... that's par for the course for your Tia Quinny.

Next were.... slot machines?

Ed: so we just... pull them?

Quetz: I guess so?

The twins pull the levers of the slot machines.

The machines spun their slots for a time, until finally stopping on 3 symbols that looked like present boxes. Then out of the machines, popped out tickets for both kids.

Mari: oh

Ed: huh

From Mari's popped out VIP tickets to a Music Festival.

Mari: POG

And from Ed's popped out, a soccer season pass.

Ed: oh word?!

And finally, matching tickets for the two, for "5 hours of use of the Mooncell" from BB

Mari: ......

Ed: .......

Quetz: well that sure is.... interesting.

After that, was another box. Wrapped in blue wrapping paper. The two unwrapped it, and inside were two gecko eggs. Along with incubators and everything necessary to raise lizards. With a lil tag saying "from Calamity" (Chalchiuhtlicue)

Mari: LIZARD

Ed: they're cute!

Next were two VERY big gifts wrapped in bone patterned wrapping.

Mari: gimme!

After Mari unwrapped the gift, what she found was a VERY large obsidian Hammer.

Mari: ah hell yeah!

SLAM

Ed: damn.... ok.

For Ed, was a large Obsidian Club.

Ed: oh fuck, ok.

Rex: there a reason Xolotl decided to give such gifts?

Quetz: good question.....

Then a very deep and loud *CROAK* was heard

Ed: FROGE

Then hopping out, was a very VERY large bullfrog. About a foot and a half in length!

Ed: OH HE'S A LARGE LAD!

Mari: damn.

Rex: mija, look behind that tree.

Mari: hmm?

When Mari looked, she saw a Huge car! Modeled after the Batmobile!

(Tho, with bat theming replaced with skulls)

Mari: HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!

After latching onto the car, Mari was very happy.

Mari: finally.......! I can drive!

Quetz: can we trust her with that?

Rex: we'll play it by ear.

And in a small package near the center of the pile. Was a first aid kit, with a note.

"Happy birthday you two, hope you enjoy the car and frog. And don't forget to stay safe with the first aid kit love, Florence, Julius and Eva."

Mari: awwww.....

Ed: so sweeet....

There were many other presents from friends and family alike, more toys, clothes, even laptops too.

Then it was finally time for Rex and Quetz's presents for the kids.

Boom

Mari: the hell?

Then, out of the trees of the nearby jungle, came a large animal. A dinosaur known as Giganotosaurus.

Mari: oh...!

The creature stomped up to the family, until it stopped in front of Mari.

Mari: holy crap.....

Rex: now you have your own divine familiar too, Mija!

Mari: oh shit!

Quetz: si, wasn't sure why you didn't get one the same time as Ed's Pliosaur, but now we got you one!

Mari: finally!

Quetz: and for Mijo, it may not be as big. But since you already got your Pliosaur. We got you this instead.

In Quetz's hands, was what looked to be an electric eel. Tho it glittered with green sparkles, not unlike that of jade.

Ed: whoa, he's an odd lil guy.

Rex: he's very special too. He's not just any electric eel. But a divine construct at that!

Quetz: si, his name is Onotlachin. The storm fish.

Ed: hot damn!

Ed held the lil guy in his hands, and felt the energy within the fish. It also seemed perfectly fine without water.

Ed: he's amazing, gracias!

Mari: si! Gracias for this!

Rex: no problem you two!

Quetz: si, anything for mis hijos!

A/N: and there's the birthday story. Sorry it came out a bit late. Things happened irl. Hopefully everyone likes it! And the festivities can still continue on throughout the weekend and even longer if anyone wants to celebrate with us.

Shall we Date? Wizardess Heart Part 15 - Mel Glover Route

How rude of Mel to just steal her apple and eat it!! I’d be so angry! Well, what a great first day for the heroine; she gets lost in the forest because she heard the voice of the tree, meets Mel, gets scolded by Leslie and then Sigurd comes to pick her up with Smokey, his flying magical beast! Now she doesn’t even need to walk back lmao.

Wow, what an honour for the heroine to be his buddy. Mel is so amazing to author textbooks, travel the world and be so knowledgeable about magical trees and plants etc. Lmao at their awkward interactions. Kate looks cool! Legit can’t believe the heroine is older than Mel, he looks so much older lmao. Loll at Mel’s eyes sparkling when he started thinking that the reason they lit up as buddies was to balance her childishness with his maturity haha and other theories. Awww his first impression of her was cute and interesting! I’m so surprised hahaha. Omg, it was so unexpected when Mel actually reacted with emotion and kindness when she said that he should sleep better otherwise his body will always be tired, and that she cares about him because they’re buddies, then he thanked her saying it was nice that someone was looking out for him! That’s actually really cute! I guess he’s always used to being alone so this made him realise that the feeling of someone caring about you is pretty nice.

Omg, honestly didn’t expect him to kiss her already lol. And to be when they were hiding under the podium too lol, so random. Not sure whether to feel happy or insulted that he kissed her because he felt that her heart beating really fast had influenced his heart to be the same, and that made him feel like kissing her lol. That’s wonderful, Mel🤨 It’s kinda funny how mature Mel can be but also how childish he can be at other times. It was nice of Mel to personally craft a new wand for the heroine since her one broke. I’m surprised the heroine so willingly gave the wand back to the magical tree and restore it when the wand was given to her by her parents. Guess it’s better to thank the wand and let it be useful to the tree than to keep it as just a memento.

Not sure why Mel doesn’t want to be her buddy anymore but he made her cry! That’s no good, Mel! Amelia is like the best friend ever btw. She lets the heroine cry her heart out, take her around the city to cheer her up, give advice and tell her that giving up so fast on Mel isn’t something she’d do and during all this, she somehow found the address of Mel’s master so the heroine could go visit and see what’s going on!? Dude, where can you get a great friend like this? She’s logical and understanding, I love her. I was just about to call Mel childish for running away after seeing the heroine, and then I remembered that he’s younger than her lol. But yeah, it was really cool and funny when she used the magic that he taught her to restrict his movements for a moment so she could catch up to him, she’s smart and capable haha! Only when she’s chasing boyfriends hahaha.

I always find it so adorable when a guy holds the girl’s hand and puts it in his pocket to keep their hands warm. Like, I’m not sure how big those pockets they have are since my clothes barely have any pockets, nevertheless, it’s so sweet and cute. Mel’s words can be blunt and hurt the heroine’s feelings but I think his self awareness towards this and apologising for it is very considerate. I’m glad he finally realised that the feelings he has towards the heroine is love. Took him a while but it was cute how their relationship progressed so I’m happy. It’s so cute how Mel says he’s a kid only when it’s convenient to him hahaha. I always forget that he’s younger though considering how mature he is most of the time. It was so adorable when they both didn’t want to leave each other, omggg. So corny but cute lmao.

For this season/arc, it’s a hard choice but I think I’ll have to choose Sigurd for the best route this time. Mel is a really close second though! And Leslie is a far off third lmao. Honestly, I think in terms of the story and progression, Sigurd’s route wins hands down, but in terms of romance, Mel’s was much cuter, sweeter and it progressed at a good pace. As for Leslie’s route, it just lacked in both areas and I don’t like Chica hahaha. Mel’s right though, they’ve kissed already and they’ll eventually be doing things that are even more embarrassing than him piggy backing her, so really she should just let him carry her since her ankle is like that loll. He’s so honest with his feelings and thoughts after he confessed lolll, the heroine is going to die from embarrassment🤣

I’m not sure why Mel is hiding things but I really wonder whether shooting an arrow with the Bow will really cure the magical tree that’s wilting? Kate seems kindaaa suspicious. And she is! She’s a bit frightening tbh… Was she jealous of Mel all this time? The preview for the next chapter was kinda sad though, Randy said Kate seemed like an evil person whereas Azusa said that from his perspective, she just seemed like someone overwhelmed with sadness, it made me think of Azusa himself and I guess he can really relate to that. I guess Mel wanted to protect Kate and bring her back to their side but it didn’t work.. I wonder why Kate is doing all this since she has the power to go through parallel worlds transcending time? You can see why she doesn’t like the heroine since she’s been thwarting her plans as the Sol Maiden in the different worlds aside from this one. So, the heroine getting together with Mel brings the world to an end? (Since Kate is successful this time around, hahaha)

I find it saddening that Kate is really doing all this because she feels so inferior to Mel since he can do anything, is super happy and has everything in life, whereas ever since she was abandoned as a child, she never had anything that was truly hers until she found out she had the power to transcend time, so now she wants to destroy the world and make herself the only living person so she can finally be special. It’s a terrible way to think about things especially if she succeeds, she’ll realise she’s not special at all because people are only special when they can be compared with someone normal. If she’s the only one alive, no one will recognise that she’s special anyway, so what’s the point?

I like that the summon was successful and that there’s more trouble to come but I honestly find Kate a weak villain especially since she was convinced so easily when she was so intent on destroying the world… It was cool to see the heroine’s clothes transform LOL, Sailor Moon moments hahaha, well gotta look pretty when you save the world from darkness I guess? Omggg when the heroine saved the world and all her friends and their familiars were thanking her, Taffy was sooo cuteeee when he jumped at her and clung to her saying he loves her omgg, I want Taffyyy! It was nice to see the heroine get to enjoy the festival this time around with Luca and everyone, sounds like fun~ She also delivered her part as the Sol Maiden well without any mistakes! The only sad thing was that Mel wasn’t there to share all this with her :( Personally, like the headmaster, considering the situation, there should be no reason for his licence as a magical tree doctor to be revoked since he did it to save the world, I don’t think anyone has the right to judge him for that!

Glad everything turned out well with Mel just being reprimanded and Kate being taken by the ministry, but with their master there to watch over her, so I guess now she can reflect but also get what she wanted most, which was the care of the master. Lmao when the heroine asked what Mel would do if she failed the academy judgment exam and he said he’d laugh hahahaah. He’s right though, regardless of whether she passes or not, that doesn’t change the fact that he loves her. I always forget that the story spans across only 13 days, so really, they met, fell in love, confessed, saved the world and then Mel proposed to her?! A lot of things really happened.. You could give me 13 years and I still wouldn’t be able to do those lmao.

I never considered the heroine becoming a magical tree doctor tbh since just because she can talk to them and cast the protection spell doesn’t mean she can become one too lol, but I guess considering how clingy both Mel and the heroine are with each other in this route, working in the same profession, travelling together and being together all the time would suit them. I love the engagement ring Mel made, it’s made with wood from the magical tree and it has a snow apple on it lmao. I’ll forever remember Mel eating her apple🤣 I felt it ended so nicely with Mel being able to fulfill his dream of attending school and it’s alongside the heroine~ Sweet!

Overall, I quite enjoyed Mel’s route, I guess it really helps to pick up on all the romance that Sigurd’s route lacked, but it was kinda to the point that the whole story was basically romance with a bit of plot hahaha. Well, it was good to finally see Mel’s perspective and how this event was related to Mel, but I think it was rather undermining and Kate was a meh kinda villain since her reasons and determination was rather flimsy. Anyway, if you want some more cute romance, then this is the one XD Overall though, I liked Sigurd’s route the most because I felt the heroine grew the most in that route and really became a strong independent woman that Sigurd couldn’t help but fall for eventually haha. Then I’d pick Mel since he’s sweet and I felt that he and the heroine grew together nicely in this route, where they learnt to rely and believe in each other and not just love each other I guess haha. Last is Leslie is because his route was really bland, I personally do like Leslie but his route just felt like nothing happened haha.

Now, let’s see what’s in here!

Sportsubu

So this is a sports drink but in a candy form. They aren’t too sweet and the book says they are loaded with potassium, sodium, and citric acid, along with other vitamins. They are chewy and have a pleasant mild lemon/lime flavor. The outside is sort of like a soft shell, it’s not creamy as they sort of look but it’s not a hard candy shell type either. I feel like these are more for practicality than for snacking but they aren’t bad.

Pure Gummy Puchi Sankaku- Lemon

These were SO good! First of all the packaging is so uniquely shaped, I don’t think I’ve ever seen an American candy come in a shape like that so immediately I was drawn in lol. These were really sour but also tasted like lemonade. It’s similar to a sour patch kid but in bigger rounded pieces. I really liked these, too bad there were only 4, maybe 5 pieces in the package. I would have liked to have more. XD

Animal Lesson Choco

I always enjoy Japanese packaging, look at these adorable animals! You gon’ learn today! These are similar to the Hello Panda cookies, I’ve had those before. They are filled with a chocolate creme and the cookie is more like a wafer shell. Again, these are not very sweet as a lot other countries don’t typically have as much sugar in their treats as America does. They sure are cute though, they all have a different animal on them and the names are printed in English. At first I thought they would be in Japanese because they are supposed to be lessons for kids and the packaging is clearly in Japanese, but maybe they are to help kids learn English at an early age since most children learn other languages as children in Japan.

Kakushi Ume-Dama

Lol, these were very interesting. Ume is a sour pickled plum, and these hard candies are supposed to start off sweet and then get sour as it reveals the inside of it. When I read the description I thought, “Oh hey, like a reverse warhead.” I expected it to be really really sour but it‘s so much more complex than that. At first all you taste is pure sugar, there really isn’t any other flavor besides that, as you suck on it though it gets a little sour, a little salty, a little fruity. It all combines into this beautiful unique taste. I loved it, it was one of my favorite items in the box. Zag on the other hand… not so much lol. He spit his out the second he tasted the sour plum part. It does say to trick your friends with it so maybe I’m an anomaly for actually liking it. XD

Puchi Puchi Uranai Ichigo Milk

So these are little strawberry milk flavored candies. They have a crunchy shell and really creamy inside. These were fun because this is a fortune telling candy. Each candy in this package represents a category and when you pop the candy out the symbol printed on the inside of it tells you your fortune in that category. Here’s my fortunes:

Big Thunder 3

Okay, This was my favorite thing in the box. This right here made all my dreams come true. First of all it is HUGE. Secondly this bar is like you took just the Oreo cookie and dipped it in chocolate. It’s crunchy and has that dark chocolate cookie taste and it’s all wrapped in yummy chocolate. It’s not as sweet as our chocolate in America, which honestly I really like. It’s just sweet enough to offset that cookie part. It was glorious. It actually pained me slightly to let Zag have a few bites. It was that good. I don’t know what Big Thunder 1 and 2 were like but third’s definitely the charm. -wink wonk-

Calbee Potato Chips- Hot and Spicy

These were another one of my favorites in the box. The bag was really big and there were a lot of chips. It took me two days to finish them. They almost taste like barbeque chips just without the sweetness. The spice isn’t evident at first, it builds slowly until your lips are tingly. I’m not usually a fan of spicy or hot chips but these were amazing!

Hello Kitty Wafers- Green Tea

Awww, Hello Kitty! I love green tea flavored anything so I was excited to see these. They are wafer sticks with matcha creme coated on the inside. They aren’t as strong as matcha flavored pocky so I wish they tasted a bit stronger. They were crunchy and creamy and pretty satisfying anyway so I’m glad I got them!

Gaburichu- Cola

This taffy was so fun to try, it makes my third favorite item in the box. It smelled and tasted exactly like Coke. The consistency was like a cross between a tootsie roll and classic bubblegum. I’ve never had anything with this texture and I loved it! If anyone lives in Japan and wants to send me more that would just be great lol.

Fit’s Gum- Lemon

This was like pretty much any other pack of gum. It tastes vaguely of pine-sol at first but as you chew it there’s a little bit of sour taste. This was the only thing I wasn’t particularly happy with, but I’m not much of a gum person in the first place.

Nyusankin Ikitemasu! Yogurt Candy

These are a hard candy and it says they are yogurt flavor but they taste slightly strawberry also. As you suck on them they do have a sort of acidic yogurt like taste. These have probiotics in them and like the sports drink candy are for health and being yummy.

Choco Gummy

This was my second favorite thing in the box! These chewy chocolate strawberry candies are supposed to taste like drinking bubble tea! I am infinitely in love with bubble tea and these certainly didn’t disappoint. The outside is creamy chocolate and strawberry and the inside feels exactly like a chewy tapioca pearl. They were so delicious and addictive, I only wanted more and more.

Sangria Pine-Mango Soda

This soda was really tasty. It’s pineapple and mango flavored and the mango was definitely the strongest flavor. It was incredibly strong and pretty sweet. I cut it with some sparkling mineral water to lighten the flavor and it was perfect.

Nerriccho Soft Cider Kit

This was the DIY kit that came in this month, foamy cider. It starts as a dry powder and you add water and stir until it’s foams up. Then you spoon it into these little cones. It looked really cute and fun to make but it tasted terrible lol. It was strawberry but it honestly just tasted like sour strawberry flavor that they dilute to flavor other candies. It was so strong. I’ve never had a DIY kit that actually tasted good so the jury is still out.

Disney Tsum Tsum Blind Box

Here’s this month’s bonus item! I got Mike Wizowski! I definitely wanted either him or Sully so I’m really happy with him! He’s so cute, I can’t wait to add him with all my other tsum tsums.
