c1x10 a death in the family ooh this is the last episode!

I like how I started with s2 so that i had a feel for the characters as they should be before going to s1 where they are figuring things out & I'd be saying "this isn't right" for the rest of the series but I actually kind of wish that my solo binge watch could have been in order, I feel like it would have made more sense. Tho I didn't HAVE s1 by the time I started. It was (obviously) the most requested castle disc set. (I just found out in canada disk is computer related disc is for everything else.)

G/t anon over here, I'm very glad to hear you understand my point of view and tbh I 100% agree with Tioga being a sentient, intelligent being capable of consent ❤️ Truth be told I did check through the Harkness test more than once (and they successfully passed it every time ofc) while reading the fics and before sending the ask, and although it's still not entirely my cup of tea I appreciate that part a little more now that I've spoken with you about it ^^

It's also worth noticing that Tioga/Giratina in the Cor Unum series definitely isn't an entity like any other, they're a powerful divinity not unlike Arceus (just writing down their name makes me want to have them disappear ewww) and tbf it's quite sad and unfair that in the PLA game they kept such a huge difference in knowledge and sentience between the two. For example Giratina simply roars their cry and fights like a normal pokemon would in battle, while Arceus is able to communicate and have conversations with you (even tho it's highly possible that the real Arceus is the one speaking, not the vessel/part of themselves the player receives after defeating them at the Hall of Origin) and can unleash their power with ease in a complex, multilayered boss fight. Also, even Dialga and Palkia are shown being capable of communicating via telepathy with their respective clan leader, while with Giratina we only get some... off-screen dialogue between them and Volo, before PLA events and in the post-game? The writers at GameFreak are literally so biased tbh xD I'm getting off track here but you get what I'm saying, lol

Yeah Non Mortem, Somni Fratrem (my knowledge of Latin grammar is literally so so rusty btw, apologies xD) will most likely kick me in the butt so hard lol, I love the Submas brothers a lot and I'm very curious to see how you're going to write them! x3 ❤️ also I forgot to mention it in the previous ask but omg I really liked Deus Nolens Exitus too! I'm a big fan of 'Volo wins!' scenarios but upon realizing he was secretly carrying all his followers' and everyone else's afflictions on his back like some kind of Atlas, it made me whine and weep immensely 😭 I was like "Volo no, baby… you gotta stop this, it's actually super unhealthy and it's hurting you so much!" 😭😭 He can be such a selfless character and I love him for that but omg, he really doesn't deserve any more pain, he's been through so much already 😞😞

Pater Peccavi is great so far btw! Tioga having to face different incarnations of Arceus with each chapter being a kind of trial is super interesting and thrilling! And I've just realized what you meant about the first letter of each tag being so important OMGGG, that's genius!!!! Also I'll definitely read Febris Amatoria too, cause the ending of chapter 3 from PP totally went over my head xD

Oderint Dum Metuant is just really good tbh! All the g/t interactions make it even more fun of course, and witnessing Volo being in distress pulled at my heartstrings too 🥺🥺 (Latios with his creepy hunger can fuck off btw, Latias is the superior sibling of the duo lol). Thankfully Tioga won against Carnifex, but omg the final chapter… aaaaaa the feels, when we finally catch up with how much time has passed since their fight, and what's been happening in the meantime while Tioga was asleep ;-;

Oh well, where to even begin xD I think it's basically canon how Arceus acts so mercilessly to Volo and mocks him too by favoring the player character instead of him (which isn't also completely true all the time btw, like the MC is literally unwillingly taken away from the present time and their family and friends, but Arceus never let them return home once they're done?? Like hello?? Who even does that!), but your version of Arceus is so cruel, sadistic and evil it could put Ghetsis Harmonia to shame and I like it xD I'm almost sure in saying they're the biggest divine bitch I've ever read about, lmfao xD

Also I absolutely get where your religious feelings come from, it must be very tough for you guys to deal with anything God-related if said God (whether they exist or not) is literally so apathetic they let anything happen to you and your ancestors for thousands of years :( it does resonate with Volo's story a lot tbf, taking also into account the fact that his people have disappeared from history (except him and Cogita ofc) and Arceus doesn't ever or even bring them up to the player :(( for this reason I'm sending you (and to Volo and Tioga too ofc) so many hugs! ❤️

Omg this ask is getting very long, but I wanted to mention two more things first:

I'm currently planning out to write a g/t story including a gender neutral Reader and Volo (it's a slow process but I'm getting there xD)

I've just made a meme about Tioga&Volo vs. Arceus but I can't send it to ya anonymously because Tumblr doesn't allow it, so this might be the last time I'll be addressing myself as g/t anon x3 tbh tho I think it's fair, we've been discussing stuff for a while and I feel like I can come off anon to keep chatting with you if it's okay!

HMMM yes i definitely agree oh my god. the other gods really and truly got so much more communication than giratina, who was just painted at this primal and chaotic force... but at the same time GF has them capable of enough thought to, uh, come up with this whole plan of giving volo the spooky plate and having him collect all the plates so that it can cross over into our world and challenge arceus? like, pick a side, gamefreak. lol. how giratina got done dirty really did upset me as a long, LONG-time giratina fan (i've adored giratina ever since platinum first came out) not to mention that volo and giratina are supposed to, you know, have the same convictions and the same "heart" (hence cor unum in general) yet giratina is painted as this sorta feral beast not really capable of doing anything except for battling alongside volo... i really, really wish we had gotten more scenes of volo and giratina interacting, and volo speaking to them, and/or them speaking back, because there's no way volo just saw this fuck-all big dragon on the other side of our world and was like ah yes i know exactly what to do now. not to mention his comment about "i was the one to feed you the power you needed to take on arceus" like THEY MAKE IT A THROWAWAY LINE AND IT'S LIKE... WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THAT!!! did he transfer over his energy at regular intervals to nurse giratina (who likely had nearly given up by this point) back to (emotional, if not physical) health?? why don't we get any scenes of volo exhausted as hell from giving giratina energy and them comforting him?? WHERE ARE THESE SWEET, HUMANE MOMENTS, GAMEFREAK?? but they probably figure that makes him "too sympathetic" or some shit. give me a break. where are the hidden tapes GF i know you have them

jgdhjdg to be fair in NMSF ingo is a little more reserved than you're used to due to being in hisui so long (didn't he seem more quiet to you?? i couldn't get that reserved ingo out of my head. god) but yeah i fucking love the submas twins and i was so excited to include them. i do have another little spinoff type thing that happens after the end of pater peccavi that is of the "ingo is zekrom, emmet is reshiram" variety where tioga and volo comfort the twins (but mostly emmet because he is their "train cutie" meaning they. er. Have Relations occasionally. and dote on him a lot and call him "emmie" lol) but i haven't posted it yet so NMSF and the end of pater peccavi are currently the only bits where the submas come into play... but more later :p

I'M SO GLAD YOU ENJOYED DEUS NOLENS EXITUS god it's one of my proudest works. i fucking loved writing it so much. you hit the damn nail on the head, volo taking everything on to himself and how fucking sad it is, like, you want to let him and tioga and everyone else live in peace, but at the same time it's obvious from how his priestesses react that volo taking it all onto himself is not okay with him, and they would all much rather experience their own suffering than have him take it onto himself... tioga getting their memories back and being upset volo lobotomized them hurt so fucking much to write lmao especially because they are COMPLETELY AWARE that he did it because he loves them, but taking away the part of them that is so invested in protecting him? is something they can't abide. which sucks because volo wants so badly to be able to protect them the way they protect him, because, like, he's in love, and that's just what you do when you're in love... but. augh. anyway

IRONICALLY LATIOS IS ACTUALLY MY FAVORITE OF THE SIBLINGS but also this particular latios would be pokemon heroes's latios's father (the one that died that bianca and lorenzo talk about in the beginning of the movie, the one that movie-latios and latias fly around with in the end) which is solely because heroes!latios's dad is revered as this self-sacrificing hero and i think it would be really fucking funny if, like, he definitely was a hero, no argument there, but also was just like. irritating as hell and had a petty feud with giratina. i dunno i was just like god this would be funny as fuck and serve to be like "hey yeah heroes are heroes and he did a great thing but like he was also a person, and people are flawed, and he had this stupid schoolyard animosity towards giratina" LMAO. still love him. def not going for a "people who do great things don't deserve the accolades because they're people too and they do shitty things", more of a "wouldn't it be fucking hysterical if" sort of thing LOL

OH I DEFINITELY AGREE like it did not ask reikari if they were ok with being sent back in time away from anyone they ever knew, and it didn't f*cking send them back afterwards! what the hell! i'll always be mad about that. and volo is definitely pissed about it too when he finds out. if reikari came to him and was like "do you know why arceus would do this and then. not send me back." volo would be like are you fucking serious? i may not like you but this is completely unsurprising and i'm, like, angry for you. LIKE... literally fucking hate arceus and whenever i see people characterizing volo as if he worships the thing (he does say he "worshiped it as the creator of our world" but it's worth noting he says this in past tense... which is exactly what i, as a formerly religious jew, and now an atheist one for the exact same reasons as volo, would say about my former self), i'm always like. no i don't think you get it. volo doesn't want to meet arceus so that he can be its treasured disciple or anything. he literally canonically says he wants to dethrone it and make a new and better world than the shit one arceus made where people suffer and it does nothing to help. Reading the Bad Guys Movie Novelization:

For some reason, the prologue is told from Wolf’s perspective and the rest is in third-person. Inconsistency much?

Let it be known that Snake hates split pea soup.

I wish the movie did show Webs comforting Piranha after their place was robbed. That was too sweet.

Love how they referred to Piranha’s dorsal fin as a “Mohawk.”

“Snake…but why?” “Because I’m a bad guy, remember?” Wow. That’s cold.

“I’ve never been happier to smell you guys!” LOL.

So cute how Wolf laughs at Snake teasing Marmalade even though he believes he was betrayed by him.

Chapter 19 should have been combined with Chapter 20 or something. It’s way too short.

So, in honor of LU's 4th anniversary, I will be sharing the results of my introducing the Boys to my younger sister! I basically showed her a bunch of pictures and she made assumptions while I laughed my ass off and tried to type while keeping up with what she was saying.

Here are the results of that!

Let's get into it, shall we?

(For clarity, my comments are in italics and hers will be in quotation marks)

(She got more detailed about them all later on, but yeah, she was short with the first few, but a bit on the nose XD)

That mostly sums it up, but I did show her a piece of fanart, and she told me that Hyrule looks like my old OC Fitz (I might post the art one day, lol, it was terrible!), Warriors is He-Man, and Four is a blone Tarzan.

Additionally, I told her some of them were shifters, and when telling her that manga Legend becomes what is essentially a werewolf she went "Are there any vampires?"

I told her Wars was the closest to a vampire, but only because @mmmwafflesart made him one.

I have no good reason! So I hope this makes your Tuesday a little better. Shoutout to @mariawritesfanfic as usual for help 😄 oh and Warped Tour 05 is the setting if that wasn't clear in the story lol

“I’m so bored!” You groaned from where you were sprawled on the tour bus couch. “Raaaay, I’m bored, help me!”

Ray smirked, barely glancing up from his phone on the other side of the bus. “I have an idea of something we could do.”

“What’s that?” You replied, narrowing your eyes at him suspiciously.

"I mean, we're both bored and horny,” he shrugged.

“Excuse me, I said nothing about being horny!”

“Oh, must have been my imagination then,” he smirked again.

“Well… I mean you’re not wrong,” you replied after a moment.

Ray looked up at you and saw you were grinning at him. “Gerard is in the back still. The bus is kinda stuffy, maybe we could get some privacy and fresh air at the same time.”

You both got off the bus and started wandering. “Here,” you said, grabbing his arm, pulling Ray into the narrow space between two busses. In the small space, you found yourself and Ray pressed close together.

“What do you think the others would do if they knew we were hooking up?” You asked with a mischievous grin.

“I bet they’d be jealous,” Ray said, putting his hands on your waist before leaning in and kissing you. You draped your arms over his shoulders, pressing your body against his. His hands slipped under your shirt rubbing circles against the soft skin as you deepened the kiss when suddenly you heard a familiar voice.

“Frank,” you and Ray muttered in unison as you heard your bandmate coming toward where you were hiding.

“Come on,” Ray said, taking your hand and ducking down the next row of busses.

When you finally felt like you were someplace secluded enough, you again turned back to Ray, kissing him hard. His hands went from your waist, down to your butt, causing you to giggle.

Again you had barely started to makeout when you heard voices again, causing you to jump apart. A moment later, Mikey, followed by Pete Wentz got off the bus you were next to.

“Hey guys,” Mikey said, looking suspiciously between you and Ray.

“Hey,” you replied, looking suspiciously back between him and Pete.

“Were you looking for me?” Mikey asked.

“Oh, yea, we’re gonna go get something to eat, did you wanna come with?” Ray offered. You felt relieved he was so quick on his feet.

“Umm, nah, I’m good, we were gonna go catch some bands,” Mikey answered.

“That’s fine!” You interjected. “We’ll see ya later.”

Mikey and Pete continued on and you sighed.

“Let’s go back to the bus, maybe Gerard left,” Ray suggested.

A few minutes later you were walking back onto the bus and Gerard was making coffee. Internally you groaned seeing your bandmate there.

“Hey Gee, where are you off to?” You asked hopefully.

“No where, I’m really hitting my stride with this comic, so I’m gonna keep working on it until we gotta go on later.”

“Ok, we’ll leave you alone then,” Ray nodded as Gerard shuffled into the back.

“Ugh, is it even worth it to find someplace private at this point?” You said throwing yourself onto the couch dramatically. That’s when you looked up and saw Ray pulling off his shirt. “Oh! Okay, yea worth it."

“How much privacy do we even really need?” He smirked.

“Gerard could hear! That’s worse than a random person seeing us hooking up.”

“Watch this,” Ray said. “Hey Gee!” he shouted.

You held your breath, waiting to hear if Gerard was going to respond.

“He probably has his headphones on. If we’re quick, he’ll never know.”

“Ok, yea, let’s go,” you grinned, grabbing his hand and pulling him back to his bunk.

An Analysis of Castlevania (Netflix)

In response to mean words from a fren.

My dearest Castlevania simps, it is time to rise up.

My friend (who I will be attacking :)) was dissing Castlevania (szns 1-3) after my recent Trevor Badass Belmont post, so now I must indulge myself with a rant on how much I absolutely love this series. This is a five four part thing, sorta long (Sorry? but if you read then you’ll understand why I love it my friend is wrong) it has minor spoilers throughout, but it's been out for a while so, proceed with caution ig.

TL:DR at the bottom folks.

One: The Nostalgia

When I was a (small) kid, my uncle was a senior in high school. (I think, I don’t exactly remember.) He loved video games and he’s part of the reason I love them today. Mostly I only ever watched him play things like Halo, but one day he was playing this 2-D, fight game, killing monsters and kicking butt. (as he described it.) And later he let me take a turn, and I couldn’t exactly tell you I knew what I was doing, but I remember how awesome I felt as some 7 year old kicking vampire arse. Now, I get to see those characters again as a young adult and it brings me back, especially the kicking monster butt parts, which brings me to...

Two: The Fight Scenes

(Light Spoilers) HOLY MOTHER OF GOODNESS, if you would have told 7 year old me, “this is going to be a badass anime one day and you’re going to squeal with excitement,” I would have laughed in your face. But I’m not laughing now. If you’ve watched it then you just know. From Sypha and MAGIC (I stan so hard lemme tell you) And Trevor WITH THE WHIPSSS (Szn 3 Episode 9 THAT SCENE Ashshishgishguhsi) And Alucard WITH MAGIC AND MAGIC SWORD (YES) And just Isaac (Whom we love to hate and hate to love) And all of the Vamps and their kool little fighting quirks. I just love love love how amazing, fast paced, and epic the fight scenes are. And it never felt incorrect. i.e. yeah Cypher uses magic and she always seems to never never run out of stamina, but to me it made sense, she’s trained for her whole life, always on the road and there are times when she does look appropriately winded. @ my friend Or Isaac, he’s powerful yes absolutely, but we still see his human weakness. @ my friend(I think this goes for all humans when compared to the Vamps and Monsters tho...)

Three: The Animation

Can I just say that this is one of the most aesthetically beautiful anime I’ve seen in a while. Like the fight scenes, for instance, when fire engulfs a lot of the screen it looks beautiful. Okay that wasn’t very specific, here, in fight scenes, the lines change. If you look, you’ll notice in intense fight scenes the lines getting harder, intenser I suppose, it therefore adds that intensity. (Especially by season 3.{Szn 3 episode 9, dual whips got me drippin fam XD}) But it was also so smooth and elegant (Hi I really love the fight scenes in this show. :)) On small details: the details in Dracula's castle and Alucard's hold under Gre- that city whose name I cannot spell. Not only that, but the scenery, my particular favorite: When Isaac is ‘forging’ his first set of monsters when he’s out on his own. I’m a sucker for the way from a distance those red flames (flames?) shot up into the sky, it was just *chef’s kiss* in the scenery department, just ahhhh :

Oh, speaking of Isaac, it’s time to get on to important, meatier things...

Four: Characters

First off, the villains/antagonists are not just evil to be evil. (Unless you’re Carmilla... :| ... I mean ig she thinks she’s justified bc hello, she’s fighting for her peoples... and I mean, she’s badass, but I sorta have to side with humans? idk) Big Daddy Baddy Drac isn’t just “I vant to suck your blood,” his pain is real. I mean, losing the only person you ever truly loved? Heartbreak. Isaac and Hector both have totally a plausible and low-key understandable reasons for their actions. Okay it’s not an excuse for their bad behavior, but the way they respond to Drac. And, back to Carmilla, can we just stan the four Queens that rule. The four ruler thing they have going is Genius! It’s brilliant, they share their acquired and unique skills and there’s no mans to ruin plans. @ my friend

Edit: Yo I didn't even touch on our two sibling bastards from szn 3. Lol. They are great manipulators, you can feel the betrayal hurt just as bad. They're the jerks that you LoVE to HATE >:(

And The side characters and minor antagonist give the story life. They aren't just blown off characters who don't promote the plot @ my friend. They add depth, perspective, atmosphere and life into the story. Some may not be particularly necessary, or may not need all the character building they were given, but none of it felt forced. It made sense with the story and the interactions they had with other characters flowed and was natural. Yeah, that was brief, but ya get the point.

And importantly, our protagonists.

Trevor Belmont, technically the main protagonist and center for the for the entire story. His character instantly pops of the page as a reluctant hero, but one that is so damn good at his job. His emotions are believable, it's fairly easy to sympathize with him and he is a vibrant character that you can easily follow along with. See the badass Belmont post ✨ here ✨

Sypha Belnades has easily become one of my most favorite heroines. Her personality, physicality and entire character are so vivid and colorful. She is a believably strong character who does not deserve the resentment she gets from @ my friend. I admire the steps that her character has gotten to take in the story and I am so excited for more Sypha. Also ✨ M a g i c ✨

Lastly, Alucard, our troubled, half vampire son who deserves the world and a hug. He is introduced as the badass immortal that we love to see, but seeing how he has to deal with well, everything, is why I so love the writers. They gave us a dynamic in which we get to see someone, who at first didn't care or need for interaction with others slowly realize how much he needed it. And you can see the stages of his development through each episode. It's lovely. He also doesn't deserve the hate my friend gives him. Also, ✨ Tiddies ✨ (I'm so sorry omg)

And Extra ! Extra ! they are all attractive, like have you even seen an unattractive face in any of the characters with surplus screen time? Sure they may not be your type (@ my friend) but they each have their good looking qualities.

Five(ish): Dynamics/Relationships

I'm lazy and can't write another paragraph lol, but point is. Everything in the amazing show flows together so well. Nothing feels awkward or forced, and more importantly everything has a cause and effect factor for other things. Maybe not directly, but it's there. And everything will come crashing together soon, can't ya feel it? As for relationships b/t characters, well, what can I say, they work so well, are unakward, and have me begging for more.

TL:DR:

This show is beautiful and amazing, both in animation and writing quality. Characters pop of the screen as do the scenes. Fight scenes = Epic. Villains = Important + Badass. Characters = Relatable. Writing = Good. Scenes = Pretty. Hotel = Trivago.

And I didn't even get into the details. Smh.

Do you think house pets can have primaries and secondaries too? If so, do you think they might reflect what their owners have?

They definitely have Sortings! This is an excellent ask 😂

I don't think the owner has a whole lot to do with it, though. They influence the way their pet's Sorting shows up in behavior, but the animal's personality itself is their personality, you can make them more or less stable and confident but I don't think they mold themselves after you.

Sorting my family's pets

My folks have eight animals in the house. Eight. My mom is “slowly” turning into a crazy cat lady and I’m absolutely fine with this. However, this post is actually long (and silly) enough that I’m switching to my laptop to put it under a cut.

Lots of cat and dog stories incoming :D

Tesla (my cat)

Double Slytherin, easy. He's ridiculously sweet towards me and mostly ignores everyone else unless they have food. (He's warming up to my mom though.) He's also a great actor. He's tricked everyone else into thinking he isn't cute and affectionate because he only acts needy and adorable when he's alone with me.

Funny story: he badly pulled a muscle in his back leg from a missed jump the year before last, and he REALLY liked the attention he got from me while I was nursing him back to health. I had a kind of kitty painkiller/anti-inflammatory stuff that came as a paste and could be mixed into wet food, which he normally only gets as a treat because too much upsets his stomach, but he was getting it every day for the medication. I also set up a special bed for him with a heating pad and kept checking on him and giving him attention.

He took a long time to heal, and the vet said I was doing the right thing, but I think I might have made it worse by being so nice to him because he really didn't want to get up and move around! He kept up the "I'm completely helpless, keep babying me" act for a year.

My mom finally took him to the chiropractor, who clicked his tail back into place and gave us some kitty physical therapy stretches for his leg... which he did NOT like, and unless someone was petting him at the same time to distract him, he'd scream like we were murdering him.

So, yes. Slytherin secondary 😂

Aardman (my brother's cat #1)

Huffleclaw. Loves everyone, including kids and babies--he's not only very patient with them, he's really enthusiastic and affectionate with them.

Knows EXACTLY how to get into mischief. Will grab your butt as you pass on purpose to get your attention. Often found in weird places, looking proud of himself: "look, I figured out how to get on top of the kitchen cabinets! I'm gonna knock stuff over now."

Thaddeus (my brother's cat #2)

Double Gryff. He's got big jock energy. This cat actually greets people with a loud meow and that upwards "sup" nod. If he wants attention he isn't subtle about it, and if you don't give it to him he'll play attack your toes. Very charismatic and friendly. He's also kind of an idiot who will fall off of things if he gets distracted while lounging.

He's a Gryff primary because when strangers come into the house, he'll vibe check them and decide if he's going to hide from them or smother them in love and cat hair. My mom was talking to a few different contractors about fixing something in the house, and Thaddeus was totally spooked by one and loved the other. I'm not saying that's why we chose the one he liked, but...

Gracie (my mom's cat)

Slytherin primary. Definitely my mom's cat, reluctant to interact with anyone else but very possessive of Mom's lap.

Possibly a Gryff secondary, or neutral state Slytherin. This house has a lot of cats in it and Gracie is tiny, but she takes zero crap and will smack the others in the face if they think they can push her around.

Isador / Izzy (pack mama cat, doesn't have a favorite human?)

You could make arguments for both Slytherin and Hufflepuff primary for Izzy. She loves all her humans and will yell at any of us for pets. We don't know how old she actually is (all our cats are rescues) but she looks and sounds like a prim old lady, which is appropriate since she's the matriarch of the house.

She does have favorites among the other pets, though. The dogs are her babies, she's known them since they were puppies and is very protective of them (which is pretty silly, since they're 65lbs apiece). She does NOT like Tesla, who is the biggest cat and full of ego, and doesn't really respect her lol 😂

She also didn't like the kittens at first. Gracie and Thaddeus were both kittens, only a few weeks old, that were abandoned in our neighborhood a year ago. Gracie showed up in the back yard, mewling, and Thaddeus was brought over by a neighbor who had found him but wasn't prepared to get up several times a night to bottle feed a kitten. My mom took both of them and we ended up keeping them. Izzy was a little bit hostile towards them at first, but she came around and now they’re part of her pack.

Hufflepuff secondary. If any of the other cats talks back to her, she hisses at them and the dogs come running over to check on her.

Maybe she's a Ravenclaw with a very Loyalist looking system? She cares a lot about keeping the peace. Yeah, you know what, Ravenpuff Izzy sounds about right.

Shawn (my mom's cat #2)

Slytherin primary, I think. My mom was visiting the shelter for dog tags or something basic like that, went back into the cat room to give the strays some love, and this gorgeous gray-and-white long-haired kitten climbed up her shoulder and wrapped himself around her neck and wouldn't let go. She had been Chosen.*

Shawn is also kind of a status hound within the house! The boys keep score of who's top cat... well, I don't know if Thaddeus cares (and Izzy knows it's actually her). Shawn likes to play dominance games with the other cats. He'll pick on Aardman and play wrestle with Tesla (who is twice his weight, but Shawn is very fluffy and he clearly thinks they're the same size, which is hilarious).

One of the Improvisational secondaries. I think he's a Gryffindor.

*Tesla also did this. The shelter lady took him out of the crate and within minutes he'd stretched out on my lap, belly-up, so relaxed he almost fell off. This is how you get a cat. I was actually looking to adopt on purpose, though, which my mom wasn't 😂

Rowan (my dad's dog)

This idiot dog. This absolute buffoon of an animal.

Actually, my mom is convinced he's not all that dumb, and he's tricking us all into believing he is so he doesn't have to be an obedient dog. If so, he's a VERY good actor. Slytherin secondary. (He also weaponizes the 🥺 eyes and my dad falls for it every time.)

Slytherin primary. Every time he misbehaves, my dad insists he's my mom's dog, but we all know better: he waits for my dad to come home and runs up and wags his entire body. He's SO affectionate with my dad and doesn't really care about anyone else's opinion. My dad lets this 65 pound, made-of-elbows idiot creature sit on his lap in the least comfortable positions possible, and baby talks to him.

Alex (my mom's actual dog)

Double Ravenclaw. I know, right? I haven't been Sorting many Ravenclaws in this list.

Alex is a very smart and fairly obedient dog. He is also a border collie (both he and Rowan are). He has also decided that Tesla needs a babysitter, and will follow him EVERYWHERE, doing that border collie staredown thing they normally use to herd sheep.

Yes. This dog tries to herd cats. He's very good at it, actually. All of our cats are indoor only animals (it's dangerous for them outside) but Shawn used to be a real escape artist. I'm not sure how we discovered that the dogs could do this, but we can call the dogs and tell them "get the kitty!!!" and they will work as a team to literally herd the cat back into the house. We didn't train them to do this. They're purebred border collies and they just know.

Anyway, Tesla and Alex get into drama. If I'm holding Tesla, Alex is ALWAYS staring at him. I think it's that, although he likes Tesla, he doesn't trust him and he's trying to make sure Tesla doesn't hurt me. Tesla is Very Dramatic and will yell or pretend like he's going to bite me if he's stuck in a position he doesn't like on my lap or he thinks another cat is going to try to steal my attention, and Alex Does Not Like That. Tesla won't actually hurt me on purpose, but he puts up a front in public that he's only tolerating me.

Alex doesn't care if I tell him to go lay down somewhere else. He is going to stare at this cat no matter what. Sometimes, the thing Tesla is yelling about is that the dog is staring at him and he's not in the mood for that nonsense (or, he also just likes when I scold the dog on his behalf), and this doesn't help matters. Alex has decided he Must Protect, and that dog code is more important to him than my opinion 😂

Alex is a Ravenclaw secondary. He's put in the effort to learn to communicate with humans, and he's very expressive with his body language and pointing with his eyes/nose. I think if we got him a set of those word buttons people give dogs so they can "talk," Alex would pick up on it right away and use it a lot.

Continuation of this...!

This episode killed me. I SPEAK TO YOU FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE. Part two commence!

k so Taichi rolled high on Persuasion and managed to not only shake Yamato’s insider info out of him, he also got him to go along with the plan. At this point I was full expecting Omegamon. I mean, on the one hand, I was like, “Omegamon this early? Before Ultimate/Mega? [dub names deal with it] Can’t be!” But I mean..

... everything was hinting at it. xD

Taichi, who knows exactly Nothing, is going to go along with this dangerous plan because he believes in his partner. By the way, Taichi’s VA, Sanpei Yuuko, is also the voice of Boruto. I posted about it a while ago while scratching my head why I was doing so, given that I’ve never seen Naruto, let alone Boruto. But something about Sanpei Yuuko’s name piqued my interest. By coincidence, today I decided to rewatch another fav of mine, Eureka 7... AND SANPEI YUUKO IS THE VOICE OF RENTON. That’s where I know her from. And there’s this scene early on in E7 where they talk about believing and how if you believe in something too much it can cause disasters...

So that’s what I was thinking about when Taichi-with-Sanpei-Yuuko’s-voice said this x’D But, never fear, it’s too early in the show to crush our dreams, Digimon is a step behind E7 in that way bahahaha

For the first time, Taichi and Yamato’s hearts meet. Yamato even gives the Determined Eyes.

So in the end... it’s neither another evolution nor a Jogress. Yamato’s dangerous tactic is a close-range attack. Which is, admittedly, pretty dangerous. And it’s the kind of thing that never got mentioned in Adventure! The battle scenes are pretty sweet!

BOOM! The haystack is defeated! But WAIT...

... there are still 34 seconds (and like 10 min of air time) left! Koushirou’s like “Are you guys KIDDING me do you know how quickly we’ll be canceled if we end the episode NOW!?!? What you don’t want to WORK or something!?!?”

Somehow the missile is launched anyway! They weren’t kidding when they named this ep after Our War Game!

Oh and by the way it’s headed for Tokyo. Because OF COURSE IT IS.

Haystackmon evolve into... Googly-eyedmon!

So this ep’s big bad is almost like a Big Bad. He doesn’t talk and he has no prior development, but the level of Tension around him is high enough for this to be a boss battle for real. Not to mention his look is way more along the line of a Mega or even Jogress type. ALREADY. Again, this is episode two. Our boys have brought out all their big guns and some we didn’t even know about. WHAT’S LEFT. Evolution, right? RIGHT!?!?!

I said this last time but no really, these Digimon are totally lifted from Takahashi Kazuki’s scrapbook, mwahahaha

Taichi and Yamato don’t have a play here and Koushirou’s yelling at them to do something before they all get blown up. Suddenly a runaway train doesn’t feel like such a big deal!

Always look cool, even when getting your butt kicked. - Rule number 2 of Fight Club, by Yagami Taichi (he was immediately kicked out for mentioning Fight Club)

Koushirou does not care about his own imminent death. He’s just sad his new boyfriend is gonna die before they even have their first date.

“You promised we’d roast s’mores together!”

Episode two and poor Koushirou already feels helpless in spite of being the only one who knows anything. SOMEONE GET THIS BOY TO THE DIGITAL WORLD.

I wish they’d really let him yobisute... they’re in elementary school... let Koushirou yobisute 2020!!

I am so excite?? Hikari and Takeru already?? This show is COMMITTED to doing things differently. I am kind of weirded out by it but also really interested to see where they go with the story.

AS IF THAT WEREN’T MIRACULOUS ENOUGH...

Holy crap... I had just decided “lol, no way would they bring out Omegamon in episode two, even with how fast things are moving in this show that’s just too major a trump card to play this early on... no way...”

AND THE SHOW WAS LIKE...

So... episode two... and in ep three we’ll have a Jogress for sure and probably some angels! And who know what else! This is definitely a rollercoaster... I’m not sure this is good for my old gramma’s heart, maybe I should start taking blood pressure meds xD Only kids are strong enough for this level of epic!

One thing I am noticing that I don’t much care for is the scenery. They’re in the digital plane rather than the digital world, and it’s kind of boring. I suppose they did it for budget reasons. I remember people complaining about the scenery in Adventure, though - which I always enjoyed, even if it wasn’t the most amazing scenery. I think it was a step up from this.

A last note, it’s only two eps in, so I’ve decided to be as positive as I can in these reviews, which I’m doing purely for my own enjoyment. That being said, I don’t have that much I dislike anyway, so it’s not hard. Going forward, I do hope that the level of action doesn’t stay at this peak level, one because it’s just exhausting, and two because I may know the characters well, but I want to get to know them again! And I want the kids of today to get to know them as characters and not just action heroes. But again, it’s much too early to worry about that being an issue. I don’t know how long this show is supposed to last, if it’ll be the usual length of a Digimon season or more like a reboot OVA. If the later, then I’ll be concerned, but if the former then we’ve got plenty of time. The other characters haven’t even been introduced yet. So all in all I am enjoying this a lot, it’s just plain fun.

Hi! Sure i guess.♡ Keep in mind that while i wouldn't say i'm a beginner i'm definitely still learning too.

I will uh.. i'll edit this post this afternoon with some tips lol (note to self to not use the tumblr app in the morning lest your thumb slip and post an unfinished post XD)

((Or maybe i am still a beginner, idk. Okay yeah i'm a beginner but i can give some tips.))

Okay so, i'm home. Been a long day. Here are some tips.

Honestly though, i'm Definitely not an expert when it comes to watercolour specifically. I've used it since i was a kid but i only really got the hang of it resently and i'm definitely still learning.

1. So honestly my first advise is to just look at a lot of different tutorials and ask a lot of different people. This goes for most mediums, but there are a lot of different ways to use water colour to achieve the look that you want and a lot of people do it differently bc it's so versitile.

2. This is a given, but honestly, there's no better teacher than experience. The more you try something out and try doing it in different ways, the more you'll be able to find what works for you. That's really important i think.

This is a tangent, but I took a water colour summer course once and i learn a lot of cool stuff, but i also learnt through a lot of trial and error that my style of water colour was very different from how it's traditionally taught here. Partially because i'm impatient and can barely wait for the layers to dry (this, btw, is honestly a must in water colour tho so that's really gotten better on my end with practice) and partially because a lot of the techniques i learnt were good for landscape painting but dificult when drawing more complicated pieces in my opinion. They're still great techniques but i also learnt to take inspiration from other sources that more closely match what i like to paint.

And the more i learn the more i find that i am also able to incorporate traditional techniques that before seemed very dificult for me.

3. As for art supplies, i honestly wouldn't worry too much about it. Especially as a beginner. I always say that the tool doesn't make the artist, the artist makes the artist. In the end, the most important tool you will ever need is your mind.

I'm also not very good with what brands are high quality and which aren't so there's that frankly.

I'd say ask around and look into what brands are available to you. Most standard water colour sets are good and last a long time. Then you can of course expand your tool arsenal. I'd recomend a bigger pallet just because i'm the kinda person who really enjoys mixing and trying out a lot of different colours and therefore need a lot of space to mix colours.

Also i'd say look into what type of brushes you prefer, and pay attention which brushes are water colour brushes and which are acrylic brushes bc they're pretty different.

Really high quality brushes are usually made with animal hair, which makes it able to hold a lot of water and pigment. I don't like them much personally bc i don't use a lot of water for my drawings as a general rule (mostly because they're doodles and the paper in my sketch book doesn't hold water all that well). (And also sometimes the hairs fall off from the brush and get stuck in my drawing 😬... they're worth checking out though.)

But try out different types of brushes and see what you like. It might be tempting to get a very tiny brush for tiny details but honestly, a medium size does the same work just fine with a light hand in my opinion. And depending on wether you want to paint big or small, what size brush you need will vary. I know that art supplies can be expensive though, so don't feel like you Have to get the most expensive thing when you're just starting out.

4. Speaking of just staring out... honestly, don't even worry about using up your supplies and feeling like every single thing you make has to be perfect. It's not going to be perfect. And not only is that okay but it's nessesary. Not to mention that perfection is wholy a myth and can't be achieved so don't even worry. Quantity over quality i always say. The quality will come with time and work. Which is why i always recomend cheaper brands anyway because you will be painting A Lot to git gud, as they say, but that might just be me.

5. Back to brands

Honestly Please invest in a good paper at least once. It doesn't have to be Fantastic, it just needs to hold water. I'm not even joking, the quality of your paper does wonders for the quality of your drawing. Can you make water colour look good on normal paper? Sure. Case in point, all of the things i paint. But honestly, if not for the sake of a result, then try it out for the sake of experience. Try different things. See what works for you. I honestly do recomend starting out with a good water colour paper since the result will be miles better and you'll feel way more encurraged to continue. That's the one supply i'm adamant about trying honestly. But again, budget wisely young padawan. And if you ever feel scared to use your supplies bc they were expensive and you don't want to waste it.. again nothing is a waste, everything you draw is stored as knowlege in your brain that you'll use to make better art in the future. Nothing is a waste. But if you're like me and the anxiety really hinders you, just get a cheaper paper. I like to paint in my sketch book bc it feels like a diary to me and it doesn't have to be perfect and if i screw up it's still fine. I'll tape it over and start again.

Okay so.. i realise that this is rambly and maybe a bit preachy and not very specific. Starting out can be scary and you want all the things in the right place and you want things to go well every time you paint even though you know it's not going to at first. But you just have to start somewhere and keep going from there. Bc if you never start, where will you be?

So honestly, if you don't have any supplies on hand, just go to the nearest place that sells art supplies and get yourself some good paper and a water colour set and just go ham trying out the colours.

Here are some of the water colour things i've watched over the years to help me in geting started.

This last guy i only found the other week. He does a more trafitional style, more in line with how i was taught at that one summer class thing. So it's always nice to look at different ways to do the thing you want to do.

6. Water colour to me has always been tricky. It's water so it flows, and for a while, that was frustrating because i wasn't able to control it i thought. I prefered using markers but honestly, markers are way more expencive than water colours and you can't mix them and get as much if a clean finish, so now i only use water colour to colour my drawings.

But for a while i avoided water colour and instead opted to use guache. Guache is mostly used in illustrations bc they're easy to layer since the paint is opaque. It's much more forgiving than water colours, so if you want, buy a couple tubes of guache and try that. You don t need that many. I use cyan magenta and two types of yellow as well as white. Any art teacher will tell you that with practice you can mix almost every colour from those colours. I almost never use blacj anymore. Unless i'm lazy, in which case i'll jusr add a layer of black water colour on top of the guache. (GUACHE CAN BE EXPENSIVE THOUGH, DON'T FORGET TO BUDGET)

There are opaque water colours but most aren't i believe. That's where the main difference between guache and water colour comes in. See, in water colour, traditionally, you aren't supposed to use white to lighten a colour. Instead you use water to dilude the pigment. This gives a much more clean and crisp finish. You can do this with guache also, but since quache is already opaque it will still have that same grainy look wether you dilude it with water or mix it with white or both. I mean... i personally love the grainy look so... it's very story book-ish.

With guache bring opaque that also means you can paint over mistakes and start over pretty much, so again, guache is much more forgiving. Once the white of the page is gone when you use water colour, you can't get that back without adding white guache on top, which honwstly just looks messy imo. So be aware of that.

7. Let layers dry before adding another one or the colours will bleed together. Learning to be patient is key. But if you're like me you can just use a hair dryer tbh.

8. If you're using a good paper, you can experiment with a lot more water. Taping down the paper helps bc the paper will swell a lot and buckle when you add a lot of water. (Press it between a butt load of books to get it somewhat flat again).

You can try taking a spunge or a wide brush and add a layer of water before adding the pigment. It can have some interesting results.

You can also leave the paper dry and just paint layers like you would with markers. Both work. Water bleeds more but that's really cool in landscape painting so if that's something you want to try, def experiment with letting the colours bleed together.

9. Oh and don't forget to swatch out your colours when you get them. Water colour dry lighter than it looks when you put down the colour, so swatching helps with determining what colours you want where.

There are So Many videos on the subject honestly. I like to watch videos while i paint. It's fun.

Okay so this is long enough i think. I barely grazed the tip of the proverbial iceberg but i hope it helped.

I really encurrage anyone who knows their stuff abt water colour to add on to this. I really don't want to spread false info. These are just my two cents on the top of my head.

JUST DO IT

I honestly tell myself this every day. And if i can do parkour then you can paint.

MORE SPOILERS FOR THE STEVEN UNIVERSE EPISODES!!!

The Question

Okay, never commented on the Ruby and Sapphire episode "The Question". But YO JUST SO MANY OF YALL EXCITED OVER THE WEDDING!! XD

Okay, I really loved how they adressed the fact that Ruby and Sapphire are their own people, and how they are allowed to do what they please, and how Garnet should be their decision, rather than what Rose/Pink wanted.

I'm glad that Ruby was able to go to our main man Greg for advice, cause we ALL know that Greg is a wonderful person and a great listener. I just hope he's taking the whole Pink Diamond thing well.

I'm glad I'm also not the only one who was surprised that Steven eats raw flour. He's been hanging around Amethyst a little too much... Oh well, it's not scientifically harmful in any way.

I hope

Ruby becoming a cowboy was hilarious, so was Horse Amethyst. I just loved seeing a side of her personality, and how she would spend her free time.

Also, the proposal... I started making noises that weren't human. Lol but jokes aside, it truly was precious, and just how they agreed upon being together, even when they were apart.

Even after the proposal, they didn't fuse, they just has each other to hold, and it was so amazing.

Bonus: "Psst, it's me. I'm a horse." XxD

Made Of Honor

Okay so, let's talk about how Steven loves planning weddings. It's SO cute, he's so excited about planning the perfect wedding for his two moms, and knows exactly where they can get their recommendations for it.

It's so sweet and cute, he's so pure and adorable and I hope Connie knows what she's gotten herself into.

Flames and dolphins anyone? XD And Peridot complaining about making the invitations.

One thing that hit hard was how Sapphire was sad about most of their gem friends not being there.

Then Steven releases Bismuth. And OH BOY-

Bismuth: "Rose- Ah Steven..??"

Steven: "OOOH there's a third option now-"

Good lord Steven.

Bismuth trying to release Biggs Jasper was really sad, and honestly, I would've loved to see a new gem.

Also, Bismuth dunking her head into a vat of lava after learning that Rose was actually Pink Diamond, is honestly such a mood at this point.

So many Bismuth puns.

Also, she feels as if the gems won't want her back, that they're mad at her after what Rose must have said about her. But it's good that Steven is there to say that they care for Bismuth.

The reunion, was amazing, and how excited and happy the gems were to have her back. It was so sweet, the ending, and how Bismuth actually MADE RUBY AND SAPPHIRE WEDDING RINGS!!! AAAA-

*slaps myself*

*coughs* I'm good.

And finally...

Reunited

(This one will be done in bullet points, since I JUST finished watching the episode.)

This was it! The day we had been waiting for! Ruby and Sapphire are getting married!

I love how the episode starts out, with the song that Steven is singing. While solemn at first, then he's so happy and excited, and these are some of the highest notes he's hit in a song! Amazing job to Zach Callison!

Sapphire saying she's not nervous, while there are nervous ice shards at her feet.

Ruby in a dress! Sapphire in a tux! So cute! And Ruby being so excited to get the wedding started.

Ruby's vows being about how they can be whoever they wish to be, how Sappphire will fight alongside her, and how if the Diamonds came, they'd kick their butts together.

Sapphire's vows being about how Ruby opened her eye (hahah) up to the universe's endless possibilities. It truly was meta as hell.

The KISS!! GARNET IS BACK AND HER FUSED WEDDING OUTFIT IS AMAZING!!!

Everything's going so well, I'm so happy that- OH FUCK HERE COME THE DIAMONDS!!! THEY'RE HERE FOR THE CLUSTER!!!

SHIT THE CLUSTER IS OUT, AND HOLY FUCK IT LOOKS LIKE A GIANT ARM WITH NO SKIN. THE CLUSTER IS ON OUR SIDE YASSSSS-

Oh fuck here comes Blue Diamond and HOLY SHIT SHE IS SO STRONG-

Yo... This is like, a gem dreamscape of their thoughts. If that makes any sense. But it's really cool seeing it from their thoughts.

Poor Yellow Diamond feels responsible for Pink getting shattered. Ooh that's why the Trial with Blue Zircon hit a nerve of hers.

Steven trying to get through to the Diamonds was SO intense. Their emotions are out of wack.

Steven's new power was PINK DIAMOND'S AURA!! That's incredible, and now they know... they know who he is. Oh Blue sounded so shocked and sad. Yellow had a look of ACTUAL concern on her face!

God... what a finale... and now, we wait... for the conclusion...

AIN'T THAT THE TRUTH. Season 3A was heavily Jace-centric, cuz he was possessed by Lilith and all (thanks, Clary), and everyone thought he was going mentally insane cuz one of the Herondale ancestors was insane or something? I don’t even care. But I have to admit -- S03′s good, relatively speaking. Best season so far; I’m so excited for 3B to air in Spring 2019 (3A ended on some CRAZY cliffhangers). Jace’s actor must have taken some classes, because he delivered a few impressive scenes for once. Clary’s...yeah, but how about that domestic MALEC though! ^_^

you didn’t really know what to think

it’s the most wonderful time of the year

with winter and the holidays

but uhhh...

the candy cane was a bit alarming

especially since it was

not where candy canes are normally....

a single candy cane was on your pillowcase

(lol what did you think I was insinuating)

“Why is there a candy cane... where candy canes shouldn’t be?” you ask yourself aloud

investigating closer you see there’s a little post-it wrapped around the candy cane

taking the note off

you squint your eyes to read the handwriting

“To y/n who is sweeter than candy (sorry Jun-hyung made me say that) follow the candy canes for a surprise!”

you look around

there aren’t any candy canes anywhere though...?

you huff

it was super cute to put together a scavenger hunt for a holiday surprise

but it didn’t really seem character for your boyfriend

you giggle a bit to yourself

as you imagine the twelve other boys who must have helped him plan this

but for now

time to follow the peppermint road

heading downstairs

you look around for any sign of a candy cane

“That’s why he bought all those candy canes.” you remember when he bought a box of 24 without offering you one

“You can eat them later not right now.” he had said pouting when you tried to steal one

looking around

you spot a suspicious package under the christmas tree

normally all the presents would be under it by now

but Hansol was never really on top of holiday shopping XD

he always did it last minute

you spot the two candy canes taped together to form a heart

the candy canes sat on top a small gift bag

and you reach for the note on the candy cane to read the post-it note

“You can open this :) it’s a hint for where to go next.”

you recall the trip to the mall last week where you and Hansol had seen the plushie

and bought it for you

“Come on kitty, let’s go to the mall.”

there he was

you ran up to Hansol

throwing your arms around him

hugging him tight

“Hey y/n!” he laughs hugging you also and kissing your forehead

“I got your note and the gift.” you hold up the kitten plushie, “Thanks Hansol.” ^~^

“There’s more actually.” he laughs taking your hand in his

gently he intertwines his fingers with yours as he leans in pressing his lips to yours

and although it was cold

you felt a light and warm tingling feeling spark on your lips

as you walk together on the streets to the first destination

it’s the ice cream shop

where you both had your first date

glancing up at him with bright eyes he laughs

“Let’s go in.”

“We aren’t buying ice cream right? It’s freezing.” you joke

“Hey any season is ice cream season.” he chuckles

when you both go in the lady behind the counter welcomes the both of you

and from behind the counter she pulls out a candy cane

“Oh!”

wrapped around the candy cane is a little charm bracelet

with only one charm so far

an ice cream charm

it was silver and elegantly carved with the date of your first date

“Oh my god, Hansol this is so beautiful.” you say turning it over in your hands to get a better look at it

“I told you it’s an adventure right? Well I thought, what better place to start then here.” he blushed rubbing the back of his neck

“I love it.”

“Good.” he said kissing your cheek

“Since when were you this cheesy though.” you tease

“I don’t know, but we should hurry, there’s other places to go.”

“Wait really?” and just like that he was pulling your arm again out the door and down the street

you both visited the christmas tree by the coffee shop where you both first met

and there on the tree was a candy cane with a coffee cup charm on it

and the adventure continued from there

going around town

to the various places that mattered in your relationship

where you first kissed

fun date places

and each stop had a candy cane and a charm

your bracelet began to feel heavier with all the little charms here and there

the library where you both studied for finals together

the thai restaurant that was always a friday dinner favorite

anywhere and everywhere

you were honestly so surprised

it must have taken him forever to set all of this up

your heart honestly felt like it was going to burst

at one point you almost slipped on ice

but Hansol kept hold of your arm

so you both fell on your butts

but it was hilarious

and finally it was starting to get late

“Last stop.” he smiles

you look up

it’s the park you both visited during a school field trip

the park’s pathways were lined with christmas lights

beautiful glowing dots spread across the landscape

as you walked with him along the path

and finally reached the little wooden bridge that crossed the little creek cutting through the middle of the park

it was starting to snow

“Is it cold?” he asks you

“I’m ok-” you begin

but he takes off his scarf faster than you can say anything and wraps it around you as you both stand in the middle of the bridge

the place where he asked you to be his

“I like you, y/n” he had said that day during the school trip so long ago, “And I was wondering if you wanted to be my girlfriend?”

you look at the railing of the bridge

there a candy cane is taped to the railing

bringing out one from your collection of many

you place a second candy cane next to it

making it into a heart

and turn back to Hansol who’s smiling at you so fondly

“I got you something...” you laugh, “Since you gave me such beautiful memories and a wonderful gift today.” you raise your hand proudly displaying the charm bracelet

reaching for his hand

you slip on a silver couple ring onto his pinky

and show him your matching one on your left hand

“I love you, Hansol.” you blush smiling down at your feet

“I love you too, y/n.”

and there

on the bridge where he had first confessed he had feelings for you

he kissed you softly in the cold winter air

snow flakes swirling around the air around you

christmas lights twinkling in the evening

QUESTION 1. What is your favorite scene in the comic so far and why?

The story has flowed so smoothly so far that it'd be hard for me to pick a certain scene as a favorite. I've really enjoyed the fluidity of the art, with it's beautiful backgrounds and very human seeming characters. Evie has been quite interesting to get to know so far and I'm looking forward to learning more about her as the story goes on.

Her hair has been particularly fascinating to me, I adore how it's drawn.

i appreciate how shes been drawn with a variety of hair styles and clothing. its one of those unnecessary details that can add a lot of life and make everything feel less like a video game.

but man the backgrounds. those are some heavily detailed backgrounds with a lot of love and care put into them and they really express the world so well

if i had to pick a favorite scene id pick when we meet margot. i really like the slight additions of red because something about the wispy way its drawn expressives a hint of...something sinister

I love the whole comic so far but I gotta say the way the party scene was drawn is so memorable for me, the panel variation is so creatively done and makes each page feel so energetic

I liked the scene where Eve was partly hung over and came into the kitchen and her brother regaled her with all the info off a casual remark. I think part of what made that stick too was realizing in the post-script how it was based on REAL history.

QUESTION 2. Throughout the comic we meet an interesting cast of side characters, from Eve’s friends to the seemingly criminal Peter Murphy to Agostino. Was there any side character that caught your eye, and if so why? When it comes to Peter and Agostino, do you think we will be seeing more of them? If so, in what way? Will Agostino’s interaction with Margot affect him in some dire way? What do you think will happen if Eve meets Peter? Why do you think Eve isn’t fond of her brother’s new fiancée? Are there any other character details you think the comic might explore?

I really liked Agostino’s reaction to Margot, it’s so foreboding. I most definitely feel we’ll be seeing all the characters that have introduced so far, again. I must say the story so far has so seamlessly and entertainingly set up many relationships, varied characters, and intrigue to delve into that it’s exciting waiting for what comes next!

QUESTION 3. As Eve hunts down a lost property, she runs into the mysterious shop owner Margot who somehow bought one of her father’s properties. Who exactly is Margot do you think? Why do you think Margot has moved into the property now of all times, and why do you think Margot chose to run an antiques store? Why do you think Margot was so defensive about Eve’s questions (despite there being simpler, more polite answers as Eve points out)? Do you think Eve will continue to interrogate Margot for information, and do you think she will succeed? Do you think it’s even safe for Eve to interact with Margot given what happened to Agostino? Do you have any other theories about Margot?

Hattie is the blond friend who took her to the party and there was a panel where it was like their hands almost touched/had been holding and left etc. just feels like it’s possible we might have a romance starting with Eve and Hattie with Margot in there messing it up. QUESTION 4. As we learn from Eve, some documents on her father’s properties seem to be missing. Further, he seemed to know possible criminal Peter Murphy and mysterious Margot. Why and how do you think Eve’s father got involved with such people? Was it blackmail, some sort of under the table charity, or something else? Do you think his co-worker Alex knew about the dealings, or was it something private to Eve’s father? If it’s the latter, why do you believe he’d keep it a secret? Do you think Margot’s shop is the only missing property, or do you suspect Eve might find even more? Even if Eve finds the answers to all these questions, do you think she can or would do anything about the situation? Lastly, do these missing properties have anything to do with her father being dead?

Her father was apparently really good with records and bookkeeping. Maybe he was doing some work on the side that turned out to be shadier than he thought... the flashback seemed to imply that they might have had money troubles. What with Dad not being able to pay the nanny enough wages to keep her on.
