Raised by Lucy Lane on the road constantly and without having much stability. Often Poppy would lack adult supervision and be left to her own devices.

Occasionally, Lucy would leave her in the care of her father General Sam Lane. He taught Poppy some proper self defense from an early age, and began teaching her how to shoot a gun (Lucy ended up finishing the lessons). 

Other times, Poppy was left in the care of Jimmy Olsen. Lucy’s on and off again relationship (more so off then on, after Poppy was born). It was through Jimmy’s care Poppy had met her uncle and aunt, Clark Kent and Lois Lane. After learning of this, Lucy stopped leaving her with him. 

Lucy would always tell Poppy that everyone else was looking down on them, that they had to prove everybody wrong. You couldn’t trust anybody, not even family. 

She watched her mother go through phases. Sometimes she would be conning people for the challenge of it, sometimes she joined the DEO and was as professional as could be, and sometimes Poppy lived amongst a cult for a year or two because her mother got taken by their ways. Lucy was flighty, and in her flight she took Poppy along. 

By the time she was an adult and free to make her own choices, never settling down took it’s toll upon Poppy. She didn’t know how to make a home, how to make friends, or even feel comfortable anywhere. Everything felt temporary.

Bio Amanté wasn’t born a genius or anything like that. In fact, as a child he was pretty average. It was his brother that was the super star. And he wanted to be just like him. He was just a kid when victor was hurt, only 5. But even then, he could see the drastic change that went through his family. When Victor finally returned home,  Amanté wasn’t scared. Or Disgusted. Or shocked. His brother was home. His hero. 

As he grew older her attempted to follow in Vic’s footsteps. He played football. He studied hard, harder than any other guy on the football team for sure. Victor taught him everything he knew. And as Vic aged,  Amanté eventually started taking over his repairs and updates. This was when he started to get into biohacking. He would perform small experiments on himself, adding a scanning chip into his wrist, small magnets on his finger tips, anything to improve himself. 

Eventually he graduated high school, a full ride to multiple schools. But wasn’t what he wanted. He wanted in to Lee-Kane. He knew what the school really was and the idea of being able to train to be just like his brother, that was an opportunity. Of hours of pleading and pleading, he convinced his brother to submit his name for invitation. 

It wasn’t easy. He wasn’t a natural genius, born with powers, or traumatized enough to be a natural killer. But he had heart and determination. something he showed when he emailed and called the headmaster...everyday. Just trying to convince her there wasn’t a student in her applicants that wanted it more than him.

COSTUME DESCRIPTION: lacey’s suit is mostly gold, as she thinks its the color of weath it is very similar to her aunt michelle’s suit. it is one golden body suit with white triangle on her chest and a blue beetle in the center of her chest. there are blue accents around her wrists and her visors are a sheer blue as well. her cowl is much like her Michaels with her blue visors and blonde hair flowing from the top. 

WEAPONS :beetle gun: could produce a blinding flash or a blast of compressed air capable of knocking down several grown men.

POWER/TALENT DESCRIPTION:  speed force conduit: jett has a connection to the speed force and can use it only to a certain extent. they do not have the full extent of the speed force like wally does, for example they do not have enhanced senses, electrokinesis or speed force negation. other powers and talents were programmed into them: seemingly born the perfect copy of some of dick grayson’s fighting abilities it can be hard for jett to often get them down like she tries to, with the knowledge of how to use them without speed it can be a big challenge to incorporate them in with their speed

COSTUME DESCRIPTION: jett’s suit is nearly identical to wally west’s red suit. expect that the suit is all black and does not have the fins on the side of their head. a bright blue lightening bolt sits on her chest, with a blue glow to honor dick grayson. the ‘cowl’ part of their suit does not have eyeholes but in fact keep their eyes covered and integrate tech to analyze and inform them of the situation around them. similar to kate kane’s batwoman suit, jett’s ginger hair falls over the top of the cowl.

WEAPONS: jett does not carry weapons

GADGETS/TECH: the eyes of their suit are whited out so the tech in her cowl/domino mask can help guide them with information and updates it has various other capabilities such as being able to track the gps coordinates of a cellphone, thermal vision, detect radio waves, and is capable of giving detailed analysis of scenes and fights

POWER/TALENT: chlorokinesis/plant manipulation, immune to toxins, decelerated aging, multilingual, hand-to-hand combat, weapons expert, master martial artist.

POWER/TALENT DESCRIPTION: chlorokinesis is the ability to manipulate plants. syllen is a mutant and this is his main gift, but with it also comes with his physiology making him part plant. you’ll always catch him drinking plenty of water! he’s able to create, shape, move, control, interact, and manipulate nature. syllen can even cause greenery to grow and revive withered or dead plants. the possibilities for what he can do are endless. he just needs the proper training. he’s happy to be receiving it here at the university and learn something new he can do with his powers each day. syllen is immune to all toxins, bacteria, and viruses. he ages slower than others because of his physiology requiring solar energy. so long as he keeps absorbing it … he’s fluent in english, russian, asl, and can speak some french. his two dads and grandpa jim taught him how to use a variety of weapons and different fighting techniques, so syllen wouldn’t have to always rely on his gift. he prefers melee weapons to guns. especially edged weapons such as daggers.

WEAKNESSES: vulnerable to darkness; lack of sunlight can be harmful to syllen due to his physiology being part plant. he’ll be greatly weakened if deprived of sunlight for extended periods of time. his physiology requires a certain amount each day. vulnerable to cold; frigid temperatures send syllen into a dormant state, much like plants during the winter. if caught without the proper attire or preparation when stepping outside then he’ll really be in trouble.

COSTUME DESCRIPTION: an all black suit except part of his torso is forest green, along with a pair of fingerless gloves in the same shade. also tends to only wear combat boots and occasionally pairs his suit with a faux leather jacket or winter coat depending on the weather. there’s a design on embroidered onto his chest of a hemlock leaf as well.

WEAPONS: a knife given to him by his father, which is usually kept in his right boot for safe keeping.

Power / Talent Description: Austin is able to render himself unseen by the naked eye and become invisible in the visible spectrum. He can move about an environment unseen by others and act without being observed. Once he’s fine-tuned his control a little more, he may one day be able to choose to let certain people perceive him while remaining invisible to others.

Weaknesses: Great concentration is required to stay invisible for lengthy periods, can be detected via non-human sensory such as cameras / infrared optics / similar machinery, can still be detected by senses that don’t depend on vision, rain and other liquids / solids / fire still show his shape while invisible. (And on a personal level, Austin prefers being invisible since he’s an introvert and the lone wolf type.)

Costume Description: The standard X-Men bodysuit paired with a faux leather jacket and black boots, usually his trusty Doc Martens. During the summer, he’ll lose the jacket. During the winter, he’ll switch it out for a heavier coat that still allows freedom of movement.

Bio

Kieran was a smart kid growing up, too smart honestly. By the time he was 13 he had already finished high school. By sixteen he was finished his first degree at MIT in Genetic Engineering. But it was more than smarts that caught the eyes of the admission board. It was also his creative mind. Being raised by a single mother, Webz was no stranger to his mother’s double life as a super hero. From the time he could work a keyboard, he was her guy in the chair. Constantly inventing and building things to help her. To keep her safe. His first invention found a way to help control their spider sense. It was extremely sensitive, constantly sending him into overload growing up. The device helped filter the noise so only actual danger came through. He still uses it to this day in order to remain focused.

His next one, and his favorite, was an AI spider affectionately named Spinz. Spinz stands at about 2 inches and can frequently be found on Kieran’s shoulder. It has a digital face that changes emotes based on what it’s “feeling.” While to everyone else the robot speaks in bops and beeps, Kieran understands him easily from the implant he inserted in his ear. With Spinz he’s able to translate languages, be fed intel, and more.

Unlike many students at LKU, who simply were given a spot due to their super human abilities, Kieran Webz had to audition for his spot. While he also had a semi-famous mother, his abilities weren’t all that flashy. He may not have been able to lift a car over his head, but he was he smartest kid in the eastern shoreline. Though if you asked him, he’d say the world. Kieran has quite an odd personality. Like his mother, while his brain was almost superhuman, his social skills are lacking. I beg you not to use a metaphor with him. He takes them at face value. He is very fond of those who are his close friends and protects with his life.

Power/Talent Description: The powers gained from her Tamaranean physiology include: Energy Absorption, Energy Projection, linguistic assimilation, Superhuman Strength, Flight, Starbolts, the ability to breathe in space. Her father trained her as a child in acrobatics and she as just as good, if not better, than Dick Grayson himself. She is also skilled in hand to hand combat as well as other fighting forms her mother taught her.

Weaknesses: Starbolts are weaker (though still powerful) at night due to her powers drawing energy from the sun. Mar’i is also extremely emotional, and since her powers stem from emotion can sometimes cause her to not be able to control them correctly.  She also has an extreme fear of getting sick and her loved one’s getting sick.

Costume Description: She wears an outfit similar to her mother’s teen titans’ outfit at this age. A two-piece suit, which consists of a purple crop top and mini skirt. Her thigh-high boots are also the same shade of vibrant purple.

Weapons: Escrima Sticks– while Mar’i typically relies on her powers, she is trained to work without them. Something her grandfather and father insisted on.

Bio

Canon per Kingdom Come: Mar’i was initially raised by both of her parents on Earth with the help of her adoptive grandfather Bruce Wayne and other Titans. Mar'i was young, she became terrified at the possibility of her parents (and particularly her father) dying. At some point in Mar'i's childhood, Dick and Kory split up and Kory returned to Tamaran to rule alongside her brother Ryand'r. While Mar’i visited her mother on the Tamaranian Outpost outside of the Vega System every summer, she was primarily raised by her father on Earth. As a result, she was fairly close to her father, considering him her “hero” since childhood but still loves and idolizes both parents. She also shares a close relationship with her grandfather, calling him “Grandpa Bruce.” When Mar’i is young (7/8), Koriand’r dies of an alien respiratory disease realizing her greatest fear.

My Canon: It was here when her perfectionism began developing. Mar’i was often told she was the “light” of the Batfamily. After Koriand’r’s death, Mar’i watched as her mother’s death affected her father she noticed how sullen he was unless he was speaking to her. She noticed how her family’s demeanor always seemed to lighten when it came to her. In the young Halfling’s head she took it as a responsibly. She thought, if she could be perfect. Always smiling. Always helpful. Always happy. Her family would be too. Even in moments where she would “cry”, it would only be in moments where her family could help her to make them feel good. She morphed herself into the perfect daughter/niece/cousin. Eventually this became second nature for her, not thinking twice about placing on the mask she showed

Growing up while in school and on Tamaran she also suffered bullying. Never human enough for the earth kids. She had some of her mother’s mannerisms and it did not bold well for children. It was also hard for her to contain her emotions and hide what she was. She found joy in many things, even with the judgement, and next thing you knew her hair was glowing and she was floating. It resulted in And of course, never alien enough for Tamaran.  They saw her as a half breed, unworthy of the princess title. But still she held her head high, never letting them see how much it bothered her.

This was why she loves LKU so much. There’s so many different species and types of students there. It’s the first place she’s felt where she truly belong, outside of her family of course.
