UR THE UTDR EXPERT AND IVE BEEN CONFUSED ABT THIS SO I GOTTA ASK.... why do people seem 2 think kris doesn't like/hates ralsei? ive played through dr chp. 1 and 2 a couple of times and i dont... know where people r getting it from im assuming im missing smth 😭

the own-flavored teas you can get in the city is where people are getting it from! the amount they heal seems to reflect how much a character likes the character whos tea you're drink (for example in the final version of chapter 2 you can't actually have noelle drink susie's tea but the code for it exists and it heals her for 400) ralsei's heals less than susie's and noelle's teas for kris, so it does imply theyre less close! and after spamton neo, ralsei is pretty dismissive of their feelings, telling them not to worry about it (though honestly i think he isn't aware that's a bad way to comfort people due to only existing for a couple days) and they mainly seek comfort from susie, asking for a hug or her jacket from her instead of a hug or to borrow ralsei's scarf from him like he offers.

i don't really think they hate him though or even dislike him. after all when kris separates from susie and ralsei the next save point goes into basically how disapppinted they are to be away from their friends plural. even if they disobey his advice about the roaring at the end of the chapter, they seem to have done it because of the reasons susie outlined during the confrontation with queen - the dark worlds are great and ralsei is part of that. they call his name alongside susie's at the end of snowgrave. he's their friend, but they don't know him as well as susie and noelle and sometimes he says things that hurt their feelings or make them feel weird on accident. plus the red soul won't stop making them hug him, which has got to be a little awkward for them given the one time they get to decide if they want a hug from him, the answer is a pretty solid "susie instead."

i don't think we'll have anything close to a full understanding of kris and ralsei's relationship and how they really feel about each other until we find out what they've been talking about when we aren't there though. they're both aware of the red soul as it's own entity so they could totally be hiding how they really get along. this is my sense of it based on the tea and their actions in front of the player, though.

My mind goes back to the part where OC is contemplating her relationship either Mingyu vs Jennie and Jaebeom vs Jisoo and Cheol. Low-key, I always thought I would like something slow and steady F2L kinda thing like Jisoo and Cheol too, but you never know who life is gonna throw at you 🤷🏻‍♀️ - like in OC's case. Maybe some hot young CEO will walk into our lives in a couple of months . . . You. Never. Know. AHH IVE SEEN THAT MOD TOO, its a great mod im too embarrassed to install 😭 personally i dislike stories where AIs/androids change bodies to become more human bc of halo fandom, it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth, and i expect again it wouldnt help nicks dysphoria any. but i have considered it and i see it as a viable way to kinda reject his software that would lead him to revert back to nick v.1… which i suspect is an eventuality.. he’d be able to biologically form his own memories w/o fear of randomly losing them as time goes by and thats good. but uhh i think he’d be super uncomfortable w the concept of the mind wipe/switch. again w/o the institute its jsut not likely for this possibility to come up.. at least in tua canon.. but i have thought abt it once or twice!!! thx for the ask anon :0
