started actually writing this but not sure if im brave enough to actually write hazel’s arm getting [redacted]
top thing that would have improved the hazel&leo flashback scene would be if leo in his unconscious distress had set her on fire in the real world and neither of them noticed in the trance. stakes (frank’s firewood in her pocket) consequences (burning hazel and the firewood) fallout (the group would probably have mixed reactions to leo after this one) followthrough (nico’s warning to hazel about her flashbacks endangering her). second improvement would be tying the sammy valdez thing to the actual narrative in some way so that it actually matters. but that’s second
