So I didn't watch that much LCS but

So the idea of FQ Vulcan? Why does that make sense? 'cos from what I saw they had 2 supports and one of them worked pretty well and the other didn't, so why would they not just ditch the one that didn't work and keep the one that did?

Or did neither actually work and I got duped by sample biasing or sumn?

My latest project is about the LCS and not hockey, but I'm not putting this on my main, so: under the read more it goes

He's man enough to acknowledge that he started this whole thing. But it was supposed to be a bit that wouldn't leave Twitter, and even he can recognise when a joke's gone too far.

But -

It's not his fault Eyla seems to treat every offered hand like a fist. Like Phil's been fucking him over on purpose, as if it's his fault entirely that FlyQuest played worse with a rookie support that doesn't speak the language. Like Phil had any say to being traded away between Spring and Summer, after all the shit he's had with EG.

Even though they're probably close in age, Eyla acts like a child, petulant and short-sighted, trying to crawl back to an Academy team that's been dead for a year. If Phil was meaner, he's call it pathetic behaviour. But he likes to think he's a better man than he was a year ago, so he won't leave a rookie in the dust, even if every other part of him insists he should.

another promise fulfilled from my trip to lcs in spring~ impact was the only member of ot5 (the eg 2022 roster) that i got to meet since the others were sick or retired. when i asked him what champ to draw him as, he went 'hmm let me think🤔 I play too many champs...", and after thinking for a long time, "I play k'sante too much these days so k'sante." this is supposed to be him going "all out"

again this took a while for me to get around to bc of motivation struggles and stuff, and now the timing is a bit awkward cuz flyquest are looking a bit doomed. plus hes kinda bald now. but i still wanted to fulfill my promise haha. pls manifest miracles for fly 😵‍💫

Not to League on Main but holy shit LCS Game 1 Cloud9 vs FlyQuest. That game was an absolute clusterfuck. Went from 0 to 100 literally instantly.

my honest ramblings about team liquid honda and flyquest feelings

to be honest, team liquid honda did more than enough to prove its growth with beating gam this year.

i feel like the LCS story of 2024 is "can the fans trust that LCS has serious ambition," and team liquid did that

the transparency with the coaching staff + the msi and ewc results + overcoming their worlds 2023 "enemy" is enough to make a lot of me committed and happy for their growth.

the transparency and player stories also made it very clear that they weren't ready for quarterfinals

i'm at peace and still really happy for the team <3

if team liquid honda got a chance to prove their ambition at msi and ewc, then flyquest now gets worlds to prove their own ambition. i'm really happy for them and i think they have such a fun thing going on too.
