I really hate how bioware at the beginning of this year was like "this year we'll have more updates on dragon age 4!" and the updates are "we laid off 50 ppl, most are veterans, including mary kirby who is responsible for the one character we are using to milk this franchise dry :) and we did not give them proper severance pay" and "here's a 49 second trailer telling u nothing but tune in 6 months (again) to find out whether this game is real or not! :)"

I still continue to be surprised by my family and I know I shouldn’t be. But my grandmother has major mobility issues and and parents’ house isn’t great for that. So today we’re at a family event and had a conversation like this:

Family: We just don’t know what we’re going to do about Christmas. Grandma can’t do the stairs and we just don’t know what to do!

Me: Our house could probably work. If you want? It’s only five minutes from yours and there aren’t stairs.

Family: If only there was some solution to this problem!

I don't know if you are as childish as those anons or you are just a masochist who likes to get attention, maybe both

I was going to just flag and block you, however a lot of people including my friends are wondering why I'm not turning off anons, so I suppose I'll address it once and only once.

I'm not affected by the petty little "hate campaign" people are sending in my inbox. I laugh at them, make fun of them, report, and block. And then I never see them again. I've only seen about 6 people in total that I've had to block, and I'm not going to turn off anons because a few people shit in the playground. This is my blog, I can do whatever the hell I want with it, and it's really no one's business.

I'm not a masochist, that would mean I'm getting sexual pleasure out of this. That would be paradoxical since the last time I checked I'm aroace. I'm simply indifferent and apathetic. This isn't affecting my "mental health". It would be childish to answer the anons who are sending harassment towards me, I'm just blocking and moving on. It literally doesn't affect me in the slightest, and I really don't give a fuck if people want to harass me. I just ask that they keep my friends and followers out of it.

Harassment only works if it bothers someone. At worst I'm bored because they're struggling to be original. You can only send the same kind of ask so many times before it loses its spark. Come on people, if you're going to hate me do better. This is weak and pathetic and shows that you really don't care about whatever issue you're preaching, you're just looking for my attention.

You have to be really obsessed with someone to dedicate this much energy towards hating them, so maybe I should be flattered about all my parasocial little crows flocking into my inbox.

Hearing about Rooser Teeth's demise... admittedly I havent kept up with a lot of their content ever since they fired Matt Bragg. But the fact remains that I was a part of that community for several long years.

I made fanart. I made friends. My god, I made friends! Some of the closest friends I have we bonded through the AH/RT community or some branch of it. My current DnD group that streams on twitch, we were all connected to the community at one point, one way or another.

I attended RTX several times, which I maintain was a wholly unique experience unlike any anime convention I've also attended. I had so much fun in that community. I know RT has and had some problematic elements but it was also such a... force. I dont regret joining it. It got me into let's plays and streaming, it brought us RWBY which I still love despite everything and numerous other entertaining shows, and more importantly it made me laugh and connected me with friends.

To see it all dissolve so suddenly is... grief inducing. My heart definitely mourns. I've never been in another fandom community like it, and I dont know if I will again.

And of course, I hope the employees and contract workers affected can get back on their feet quickly. I cant imagine their position. Like the rug has been pulled from under their feet, I'm sure.
