I always thought it was weird that in Dead Center the survivors don't really know what the infected are or know the names of and haven't had prior encounters with the special infected

It would make sense if it was at the start of the apocalypse or the start of the special infected coming around like No Mercy but my guess is that Dead Center takes place during The Sacrifice because The Passing takes place after The Sacrifice and Dead Center so the L4D2 survivors should be well into the apocalypse by Dead Center so they should theoretically already know what the infected and special infected are

Also how do they not know what the infected are when the apartment complex that they start on the building of are filled with infected so they had to encounter some of them on the way up

I'm back at Left 4 Dead after a decade of not playing this game & join the fandom. I am happy, salute, & touched to find this community still alive.
