In the past two months, I went No Contact with my entire family (save my bio sis), as well as with my BFF of 34 years, on top of suffering through the election, and managing to help keep my chosen family afloat in the chaos. All requiring increasing my anti-depressants/anti-anxiety meds and lots of grief and rage in therapy.

However, for the first time ever, we had 0 familial obligations for the holidays. So my husband paid for us to spend a week in Chicago over Christmas. Just to get away and be somewhere where it's just us on a little adventure.

Feeling grateful for the friends and support network I've built here and through fandom Discords. Y'all are the best. And as I hop on a plane to GTFO for a bit, I hope y'all have the courage to protect your peace and do what's best for YOU and the ones you love. You deserve the world and fuck anyone who tries to tell you otherwise.

i sat here thinking about what else, but like -- i think he'd only use nicknames in the beginning, like "hey bangs" if you had bangs or "glasses" if you had glasses like he'd take some physical/personality attribute and just... synecdoche it. he does it w/ sanji a lot in the anime where he calls him like "eyebrows". so i guess it... depends?
