High school dance AU with Kurapika

Ok just FYI they’re all the same age

Somehow, your friend Leorio had convinced you to go to this stupid school dance

It was so- so dumb

Sure- you had been asked to it

But Hisoka had asked you... and we all know how he is...

He’s the type of senior who hits on freshmen

So you didn’t have a date

But neither did anyone in Leorio’s group, besides Leorio- (cause he deserves it)

You didn’t know any of them very well

You knew that Gon was failing math

And that Killua had an 2 brothers who were both at Ivy League colleges

And Kurapika had a rivalry with a kid named Chrollo, and his group

Other than that- nothing

So you got into Killua’s car

Oh.

He was rich

Killua was driving, with Gon sitting next to him

Leorio was by the opposite window with Kurapika in the middle

Somehow there was still plenty of room though?

They all greeted you, Leorio introducing you to everyone

Gon gave you a huge smile and a wave (aw😍🥰💚❤️💚❤️❤️💜💜)

When you got there everything was pretty normal

Idk I’ve never been to a high school dance- so this is probably so wrong

Cause the friends that go my school suck

Leorio found his date and wandered off with them

So there you were, stuck with 2 guys who you were pretty sure were holding hands, and a blond who looked so uptight- if you pricked him with a needle, he would pop

You eventually struck up a conversation with the blond

Somehow

He seemed nice

He told you about some funny thing his pet cat Pairo did, and you returned the story with something strange Lerorio had done

Yes I turned him into a cat

That was until an awkward silence had set in

Gon and Killua had wandered onto the dance floor, and were dancing

You turned to Kurapika, “Are they-?”

“Together? None of us even know anymore.”

Leorio was dancing with his date, and he occasionally turned to you and flashed you a grin or a thumbs up

Now all most everyone there was on the dance floor

And it was now becoming awkward again

You were wondering if you should slip away again, but before you could decide, Kurapika asked:

“Do uh- do you wanna go dance?”

Oh

You agreed to though

At least it was an upbeat song

So it wouldn’t be too awkward

“Alright folks, and it’s time to sloooooow the music down”

Fuck you mr DJ

Well you could always back out

But that’d be soooo awkward

So uh

You slow danced with him

Damn

After all this shit happened and the dance ended, y’all decided to go to Denny’s

Ok forgive me

I’ve never been there

Gon and Killua sat in one booth, laughing really hard at a ketchup packet

While the three of you sat in another booth, Leorio rambling on about his date and how he had successfully asked the person out on an actual date

About 20 minutes later, Kurapika excused himself to use the restroom

As soon as he was out of ear shot, Leorio said “so... I saw you two dancing”

The bastard was smirking

“Sure...”

He made a kissing face, and you smacked his shoulder

“It’s not like that- we literally just met”

“Mmm, well I think you have a crush on blondie”

Before you could respond, Kurapika was back

Did you like him?

I mean, you had just met the guy

But he had a nice smile, and really pretty hair, and his eyes were so sparkly you could get lost in them.

Fuck

Ok

Maybe you did like him

But it was just a small crush

It’d go away soon... right?

Cue him getting the balls to ask you out a week later

Cause Leorio can’t keep his mouth shut and told Kurapika you had a crush on him

Gon: Gon would be either a fighter or a ranger with his extraordinary sense of smelling and sight. His alignment is most likely neutral good or chaotic good.

Killua: Killua would probably be a rogue since he is capable of walking without sounds and is literally a trained assassin. So yeah, Rogue is the most fitting one for him. His alignment is either true neutral or chaotic neutral.

Kurapika: Oh dear, this pretty boy is probably a monk who is trying to get his revenge at this terrible group of thieves. Since Kurapika is slowly getting more corrupted by his yearning for revenge, I would actually say his alignment is true neutral to lawful evil.

Leorio: God, how I love this man. Since he is the only medic in this party and has two reckless idiots with him, he needs to heal a TON. I would love to say “Paladin” (mostly bc of his last name lol) but they don’t heal as much as they’d need to. So I’d say Bard. Just for the funsies, you know. Also, Leorio is the most neutral good character I’ve ever seen.
