Crossover: Donten ni Warau x Inuyasha
Pairing: Tenka Kumo x Kagome Higurashi
Twisting the cloth in her hands, water sprouted and into the bowl beneath. Fire flickered and popped in the middle of the small home. The nightβs cricketing hum serving to calm the anxiety that was to come tomorrow morning.Β
If there was to be a morning.Β
βYou havenβt told them.βΒ
The female voice sprung Tenkaβs attention away from the dancing flames and to the female preparing his medication. His features softened as he caught her concern overtaking.Β βDonβt know how,β he sighed,Β βeven if I wanted to, Kagome.βΒ
The priestessβs shoulders dropped.Β βTenka-san, this has gone beyond caring how to tell them!β She turned her body to face his left, squeezing the cloth close to her chest.Β βYour brothers deserve to know about your curse!β It pained her to know he was set on dying. Set to let fate pull him as it wanted. Humans had free will. Even if it meant going against the godsβ plans. When Tenka had first visited her, he did come with the hope her priestess powers could purify the curse away or even null it for a time being. But when she had discovered he had made his body to hold an artificial fraction of the Orochi curse, she understood. And he confessed.Β
βI donβt want them to be mixed in this mess.β Tenka sighed, raising the covers of his kimono to hide the purple curse beginning to spread on his neck.Β βThey deserve a peaceful life.βΒ
Her face winced from the mental pain.Β βThey wonβt be at peace with you gone, Tenka-san.βΒ
Tenka turned his head, giving Kagome a smile.Β βItβs selfish of me to ask, but I do think they deserve someone like you in their lives. They deserve some light.βΒ
She shook her head in return. He was set to take the fault. Over the course of knowing each other and seeing each other in secret every other night, she had come to learn the middle child of the Kumo family, Soramaru, was the true Orochi vessel. If the public were to find out, immediate execution was to follow.Β
So she understood Tenkaβs motives. Understood his plans.Β
Her view dropped to her lap, cloth being held between her hands.Β βItβs not fairβ¦β. She whispered, voice beginning to crack as she held her tears in.Β βNo one needs to die.βΒ
Tenkaβs smile softened; his hand reached to cup the side of her face. Watching Kagomeβs eyes close at his touch, he could not help but feel his heart flutter at the sight of her leaning closer to his hand.Β βLife can be a blessing and a curse.β And it was becoming darker everyday for him. Difficult to move on with his plans. Especially after the two of them had become so close.Β
After both of them had exchanged their feelings.Β
After sharing countless nights together.Β
It was becoming difficult to be alone and leave others in sorrow. He knew he was leaving them with a heave grieve.Β
βIβm so sorryβ¦β.Β
Kagomeβs eyes scrunched as she sniffed, tears beginning to drop one by one. Hearing his apology made her stomach churn with guilt. It made her feel cold yet so warm.Β βThere is still timeβ¦β.Β
Her faint hope only provided a glimmer of joy to show on his smile. He gently tilted her head back, signaling her to open her eyes and look into his.Β βIβm being so selfish leaving my brothers to you,β he leaned closer,Β βbut I know you are the one they need when this all ends. I can only entrust you with them.βΒ
Her heart throbbed as she saw his gaze trying to comfort her. Her hand slowly rose; fingers flexed beside his head before coming to cup his right cheek. Fingers slowly glided to the back of his ear before running through his hair. Her hips lifted off her calves as she balanced herself to be eye-to-eye.Β βYouβre being so cruel, Tenka-san.βΒ
Tenka snickered softly,Β βI apologize again.βΒ
Her eyes tightened to a mild glare.Β βApologies donβt always work; you arenβt always going to be forgive with simple words.βΒ
A laugh rumbled through his chest.Β βYouβre rightβ¦β.Β
She leaned in, softly pressing her lips to his. Tenka responded without letting another second pass. His hand on her cheek only bringing her closer. There was still time, lots of it, but sometimes fate had other plans for every passing minute. The time he was allowed to be with her, he was grateful for it. For he craved her entire being. It ached to think never being able to see her again.Β
Tomorrow was feared; presently is what he would want for an eternity.Β

Im gonna do it anyway. Before we begin, what ever you're the God of just means you have a natural mastery of the idea or object and the magic associated with it. If you are the God of a type of people or profession, all in that group are under your protection and you are a master of that profession.
First example: Genetics
For this example I'll use Priff, Goddess of so many fucking things I can't remember, and Savino, God of Dreams and Reality magic. They have four children, one male god, one male demigod, and two female gods. In order of age: Xavuh, Gradiuax, Emir, Kizon. Xavuh is the God of Creation and Mind Manipulation. He inherited those titles from his father. Kizon also inherited God of chaos and trickery from Savino. Emir and Gradiuax inherited their titles from their mother, Priff. Emir is the demigod of Storytelling and Prophecy, Gradiuax is the Goddess of Motherhood and the Protector of children (newborn-before adult). However, it is possible to transfer powers between lovers.
Second Example: Love
If you love someone enough, and you are a god, should you lose all your lives, your lover will take your place and inherit your title and powers. My main example of this is the story of Ambrosia, Goddess of Healing and Purity, and Abyssi, Goddess of Disease and Corruption. To make a long story short, Abyssi is in control of a disease that can kill instantly, Ithuriel (Goddess of Death and Life), doesn't like that she has immense control over death, and as a way to maintain balance, orders a hit on the young Goddess. Abyssi has been on the run her whole existence, losing two of her three lives from Ithuriel's husband, Veyan(Angel of Suffering). She meets Ambrosia, blah blah blah, they fall in love, soulmates, blah blah blah, Abyssi's brother kills her to seek her power for himself (he gets cursed but I'll explain that whole deal in a different post) and Ambrosia takes the body chains Abyssi wore to control her powers and becomes the Goddess of Health, Disease, Purity, Corruption, and Contradictions. That brings us to the third method, development.
Third Example: Development
This and the next one are the most simple ways to aquire a title. If someone isn't a God of something and you take interest in said thing or find yourself experiencing a lot of said thing/embodying said thing, you become the God of said thing. Ex: Ambrosia becoming Goddess of Contradictions, Priff becoming Godess of Pirates and thievery, Bronin become God of Grudges, and Kumoh become the former God of Music.
Forth Example: Pasage(sort of)
If you are the God of something, in this case Kumoh, God of Music, and tutor someone else (Bronin God of Passion (at this point in time) in whatever you're the God of, there is a chance they become the new God of your thing. Kumoh introduced his god daughter Bronin to music and performing arts. She fell in love and gained a higher level of mastery than Kumoh (Kumoh only mastered a few instruments and singing, Bronin mastered almost all), and the title was passed to Bronin.
Fifth Example: Ascension
Mortals can become gods. You need approval from Ithuriel to allow one of the gods to revive you first. Yep. You gotta die to become a God. Whatever ideal/profession/magic you practiced the most is what you're the God of. My two mcs, brother and sister Reaguhn and Rouge, became the God and Goddess of Forgiveness and Revenge respectively. Reaguhn spent his life being a pacifist(DESPITE BEING THE MOST POWERFUL NON-GOD) and giving people second chances. Rouge spent her entire life pursuing and planning her revenge, and got it. She was promptly revived as a Goddess.
