tunnel notes
i wrote some extra little notes and thoughts for the bonus tunnels in anthology of the killer, and then removed them before release; i didn't like the prescriptive feeling of leaving that stuff in the "final package" as if it was something people should feel obligated to engage with. but as of today it's been 30 days since the loader came out, so i figured i'd dump some of them online, for the benefit of whoever is interested in these things.
History: HISTORY IS A NIGHTMARE FROM WHICH I AM TRYING TO AWAKE is one of many famous zingers given to Stephen in Ulysses and I’ve always wondered if it’s especially Irish as a sentiment, Ireland sort of feeling like the “Oops! All Peasants” edition of European history as a whole – same misery, exploitation and death minus the occasional episodes of feudal colour or triumphant empire-building that seem to make the past tolerable for other people, and give them their own sense of demarcated time. But then I’ve never been much good on Irish history, which has always just felt like an interminable, indistinguishable series of massacres and betrayals and missed shots. Was I not paying attention or was this how it was taught in school? Well, it would have fit the style at the time – I was born in 1989, smack at the start of the famous end of history era. The 90s in Ireland meant the peace process and infusion of American capital to our backwards shores, all the more reason to cosign the idea of an abrupt and permanent break with a history notably lacking in the non-depressing or picturesque. All our history textbooks seemed to trail off at the point we’d joined the EEA. And even as this new modernity just started seeming like the monstrous antiquity dressed up in different clothes – hooded prisoners transported to torture sites through Shannon airport, our patchy social infrastructure dismantled by burghers, ghost estates and half-completed monuments scattered around like the ruin theory of value with more leprechaun imagery – there was still a sense that any change was off the table. You didn’t want to drag us back into history, did you? History seemed to have “ended” in the same sense Freddy Krueger did – done away with in ways that none of the grown-ups ever wanted to talk about, and now officially a non-presence, even if all the kids in town were mysteriously disappearing.
--
Art: One reason I wanted to do an episodic series is just to see what would turn up, if any recurring interests would build despite a minimum of planning. One of the themes turned out to be, “art” – or specifically modernist art – and I am curious about why that would be. A recurring tendency in modernism was the idea that only by destroying the world as it currently existed could we clear space for anything better to emerge. Under the cobblestones, the beach! But this was always attended by a kind of fear: that clearing away the old structures would just allow something even worse to emerge, unmasked. Under the cobblestones, more corpses! And that the bleakest tendencies of the period would now run free without even the emptiest symbolic constraints to chafe against. Max Ernst’s painting of the fascist victory in Spain, of a huge, grinning oaf rampaging over the landscape like a kaiju while a miserable birdlike figure remains haplessly grafted to its leg – is titled both “The Angel Of Hearth And Home” and “The Triumph Of Surrealism”. As if to suggest that these are each the same thing, as though a cause of creative liberation worth devoting your life to and an empty cliché of domestic repression had so little light between them as to not even be worth the effort of distinguishing.
Part of the reason works like that make their way into the games in little ways is because I just like them, and go back to thinking about them. But the status of modernism in the 21st century is an odd one; the most tentative and inventive parts got dropped, while the brashest and stupidest aspects curdled into a kind of official state ideology – the idea of “creative destruction”, which just seems to mean a vague sense that it’s punk rock to create ridesharing apps. The monkey’s paw curled and the emptiest version of the modernist credo became something we all have to live with.. and yet I still can’t help but be moved by the source works and the goofy, ridiculous temerity of that wish to transfigure the world. sometimes it feels like only way to keep faith with those ideas is to travesty them, to try returning to them some of that sense of fear and doubt without which they just sound like so many web design agency manifestos. Kept alive in the breast of so many grimacing waxworks, underground.
Another reason to put this stuff in a horror game: to try getting at that feeling in a dream of looking in the eyes of people you know, people you love, and seeing nothing there anymore, seeing them look right past you. An earlier horror game idea I used to think about would have ended with the protagonist being dismembered and eaten by Gertrude Stein.
--
The moral: I’ve seen people express a sense, now, that merely working in the negative is not enough; to just outline what’s bad without also trying to give a vision of the good, some glimpsed utopia to shoot for. For the benefit of these people here is an epilogue. Imagine it’s the future and the long nightmare of prehistory is over; history proper unfolds as the full expression of human powers unhindered by material subjugation. Some students are given an assignment by a professor to investigate the meaning of a term that no longer exists, the meaning of horror. Well, the students do their best: they watch lots of old movies, put on rubber masks, comb through old fragments of the world that was. They’re enjoying themselves and that enjoyment warps the process, they keep drifting into pleasure, unsure what’s meant to be funny and what’s not. They get lost, get confused, lose the thread, famous faces appear under the wrong names, espousing things that are the opposite of whatever they believed. In the end they all have to admit defeat: they hand in their assignment with a note saying that in the new world, we can’t even imagine what horror may have been. The professor reads their findings, nods, and gives them all an F. No moral.

I found a list of like 100 questions about character development and I intend to use it 😈
Sooo name three things that most people would not expect Zhar to be able to do ❤️
You mean apart from 'getting along with the guy, she actively and aggressively despised before actually working with him'? There will be some spoilers, but I won't give out too many details. Also yeah, I know, long dialogues are not fun to read, but I feel silly today.
TW: swearing
Ok, so for a long time Nikolai considered himself to be one of the most shady guys, Zhar ever worked with. I'm not saying TF 141 consists of angels, but Nik probably would have one of the longest criminal history among the rest. So yeah, he thought, she tends to work with good guys when given choice. Until she found Krueger. The moment she was interviewing him, Nikolai understood, he has yet to learn so many things about this woman.
***
Price would be... fairly surprised to find out, that 'shopping' Nikolai invited him to will actually be taking place in some dubious-looking hangar.
"Nikolai, what the hell? I thought, you needed a new watch or shaving kit."
"Na-a-ah, and what's the fun in buying those? No, I'm looking for a new birdie..."
"What happened to the good old one? You crashed it finally?"
"Olga did."
"She did WHAT?"
"That's ok, Cap, I had it coming. Never piss a girl, if she comes from the TF."
***
Gaz would be startled, after answering on Zhars phone call only to hear "Kyle? What do you do if you suspect a guy planning to ask you to marry him?"
"Eeehhmmmm, depends upon what my plans on the guy were. We are talking about Nik here, don't we?"
"No, Kyle, we are talking about King Charles the third... Of course, we are talking about Nikolai, who else would be crazy enou-"
"Girl, breathe! Breathe and tell me, what happened, well figure it out."
"I woke up, and I accidentally found this box, so I panicked, and haven't even peeked inside and now... well, don't know what to do now."
"Ok, good. Now look, what will happen next: you will listen to whatever he has to propose to you and you will take a deep breath and talk to him, like adults do. If you need time, or just don't feel like spending your life with the guy - you tell it him calmly and peacefully."
"..."
"Olga, are you still there?"
"Yeah... So heading straight to the nearest airport is not what an adult would do?..."
"My fucking god... Ok, Nikolai definitely kills me, if he ever finds out, I gave him away... Olga, listen to me. It's not a ring in that box. I know, what's there, and it is not a ring, I promise. Nikolai 'consulted' with me before doing it, and he promised to take one step at a time. So please, turn back right now. Shit, I can't believe, you were ready to flee from the country just to not start a talk, you're not ready for. You were always the most calm and mature girl, I've ever known..."
"Actually, I wasn't planning to leave a country - I wanted to leave a continent..."
"...You're a fucking disaster. Go back now!"

"UPS 2751 Heavy, contact Departure 125.125, good day." "Contacting Departure, UPS 2751 Heavy." This photo of N578UP climbing out of DFW shows nicely the variable camber Krueger flaps on the leading edges of the 747-400's wing. The variable camber Kruger flap (VCK) is unique as far as I know to the 747 family. Krueger flaps are one of the simplest of mechanical leading edge devices. They offer a high lift coefficient for such a simple device but it has a narrow optimal angle of attack range. A recirculation bubble forms behind the flap and it increases the camber of the wing as air thinks the bottom of the bubble is now the bottom of the wing surface. It makes the wing act as if it is fatter, improving low speed performance. The first type of Krueger flap is the simple type which is just a flat panel hinging outward from the lower surface of the wing. This is seen in the 727's wing and the inboard sections of the 707. The folding bullnose Krueger is a further refinement which adds a folding rounded section to the "nose" of the flap. This improves the flap's performance over a range of angles of attack. The inboard section of the 737, for example, has this type of Krueger flap. The 747 evolved the folding bullnose Krueger flap and by use of flexible fiberglass panels and four-bar linkages, takes a flat flap when stowed and literally bends the flap panel into a curved shape upon deployment. It is complex, but lighter than a traditional slat system and was kept on the 747 right right on into the 747-8 as redesigning the wings for a slat flap was not necessary. The 747's VCK also introduces a slot behind the deployed flap which improves its performance. You can see the slot in my photo. #avgeek #aviation #aircraft #planeporn #DFW #DallasFortWorth #Texas #airport #planespotting #instaplane #Boeing #747 #UPS #N820AL #N578UP #instagramaviation #splendid_transport #instaaviation #aviationlovers #aviationphotography #flight #AvGeeksAero #AvgeekSchoolofKnowledge #AvGeekNation (at DFW Airport) https://www.instagram.com/p/CZhNh6BuWyx/?utm_medium=tumblr

How Can “IT” Love a Human? Pt. 3
pt. 1
Pt. 2
Finale.
Archie wanted to see his mom, and so does his sister, but he knew that his dad wouldn’t let him, so he came up with a plan. “Dad, I’m just taking Kandy out to the park to play... and feast...” Archie said with a grimaced expression. Pennywise sighed before he responded. “Don’t be gone too long son, it’s going to be dark soon,” Pennywise said. Archie nodded and carried his sister in his backpack so it’ll be easier for him to get to places. When Archie made it to Cassandra’s place, he was going to sneak through the window where his mom is.
Meanwhile, Scarlet was packing her things for when the time comes for her to leave. Cassandra walked in to talk to her paling cousin. “I’ve just hung up with Albert; he said he’ll be landing at the private airport at 10:00 pm tonight... Just so you’re aware...” Cassandra finished before she left for the kitchen to prepare dinner.
As Scarlet continues packing, Archie got into the room through a locked window; obviously, Archie discovered his secret power. “Archie? What are you--” Then Kandy popped out of Archie’s bag after hearing her mom’s voice, as she was making happy gurgling noises. “Kandy? What are you both doing here, does your father know you were here?” Scarlet asked. “We just wanted to see you... We missed you... Even daddy misses you; he’s been moping on the couch all day.” Archie explained. Scarlet sighed as she was thinking about her husband. But thinking about him made her remember how he shut her out and expressed his negative feelings to her, made her cough ill-like. “Mom?” Archie said in worry. “...I know you two missed me so much, and I’m going to miss you both, very much...” As the three hugged, Archie wondered what his mom meant by ‘going to miss you’. “I’m leaving for home in New York tonight; I can’t bear the pain here in Derry...” Hearing what their mom said made Kandy cry since her mommy is leaving for good. “Aww, baby, come here...” Scarlet said as she picked up her baby and patted her back. “Mommy’s going to miss you too...” Scarlet said as she’s tearing up. Archie was devastated; the fact that his mom is never coming back will mean that he’ll have to be the responsible one; Oh how will he explain this to his dad?
***
Back at the Neibolt House, Pennywise was looking through the pictures back when he and Aquarius started dating; they were coming to life in his hands, just to get the visuals more clearly.
He never has forgotten about the time they met; hating each other and fighting each other in their own monstrous form, in other words; playing hard to get.
Then he remembered their first kiss; true he first kissed her by the cheek, but that was more of a tease than an affection. It’s when he saved her from the laws that nearly caught sight of her killing the man for his sins, it was very unexpecting of her to kiss him passionately.
Thinking and looking back at the photos is making him tear up. “I’d risk anything... to have you in my arms again... Clown or no clown, you’re still my Star in the Sky,” Pennywise said to himself as he was about to cry.
***
Pennywise noticed that it’s getting late, so he was planning on picking up the kids until he heard a noise from out back. “Archie?” Pennywise rushed out back and noticed that outside was showing some strong winds and clouds forming into a swirl, like as if there was going to be a twister.
He was going to rush in until he was being sucked in by the vortex, pulling him down to the fiery pit. “NO PLEASE, I DID NOTHING WRONG...” Pennywise exclaimed while trying his hardest to hang on to the grass for dear life. However, he failed to hang on, he was being pulled down to hell and the ground closed back up.
It was dark for a minute until the flames lit up a path for Pennywise to follow. “Oh dear God...” Pennywise said to himself as he had no choice but to follow. “Come hither, Pennywise...” Said the echoey voice. Pennywise followed the creepy voice and noticed a silhouette of a satin. “Look... I may be in Hell, but you can’t take me away from my children when I’m not exactly dead yet--” “SILENCE,” said the figure as the flame rises. Pennywise flinched before the figure had the chance to explain. “Don’t talk until I SAY you can talk--” Then the light switch was flipped. “What the!” “Son, you know better than to be in the dark, you’ll ruin your eyes.” Said the mother. “MOM, I’m trying to do my WORK... I’m 923,435,003 years old for goodness sake!!!” said the mystery satin.
Pennywise took a good look at the satin; correction, that ain’t no satin he has ever seen. It’s a clown. “Sorry about that, Pennywise... I’m just trying to be scary, it worked on Scarlet Jones when I first brought her here.” Said the Satin Clown. Pennywise’s jaws nearly dropped. “Wait... you’re that demon being that summoned her? Then you must have--” “Turned her into a demon clown? yes; she may be a Christian, but she did sin horribly: Lying to her parents, running away to join the circus...” The Satin Clown went on until Pennywise cut him off. “But why did you turn her into a human, can you change her back?” Pennywise asked and requested.
The Clown Satin got down from his throne to reveal his height; he’s actually quite short from Pennywise’s perspective. “Freddy Krueger thought it wouldn’t cause him harm if he messes with my apprentices; well, he thought wrong.” He snapped his fingers and appeared Freddy in the Chains of Despair. “Serves you right, Bacon Face!” Pennywise scolded Freddy. “To answer your last question, I can’t change her back unless she comes down here in a coma... But... You can change her back,” the clown said.
Pennywise smiled with a big grin until he frowned in confusion. “How can I? I might accidentally kill her if I smell her succulent fear.” Pennywise asked. Freddy then spoke. “You thought you can prevent yourself from killing her by shutting her out? Well, you’re thought wrong; her fear is being separated from you and the kids, and since you kept you and your kids away from her, she’s slowly perishing, so... Serves YOU right, Ronald McDonald!” Freddy said with irony. The Satin Clown snapped his finger and gagged him with stitches sewed onto his lips shut. “When you’re sent back to Earth, go to her, kiss her by the lips, and she’ll be turned back into a demon clown.” Pennywise nodded with an evil grin as he doesn’t have a problem with that request. “As much as I hate to admit, but Freddy is right... She is slowly perishing, so you only have until 10:00 pm before she dies.” Pennywise stared in shock. “Well then, get me out of this Hell Hole!” Pennywise ordered.
With a snap of the clown’s fingers, Pennywise was laying on the ground in the grass and everything is back to normal. As he looked at the time, he saw that he only has thirty minutes before time runs out. As Pennywise was about to head over to Cassandra’s place, he saw his son with his baby sister in his backpack rushing over to their dad. “Dad... Mom... Mom is leaving... for... New York...” Archie said as he was running out of breath. “What!? You two were at Cassandra’s place... you know what, never mind that, it doesn’t matter... You said mommy is leaving for New York?” Pennywise asked. Archie nodded quickly. “Come on, we’ve got to get your mother back!” Pennywise called to his kids. Archie and Kandy stared at each other with excitement; they’re going to get their mother back... That is if they can make it to the private airport in thirty minutes.

Incoming Intel - Chapter Three: Fractured
Gulag View
He was not sure if it was the adrenalin or fear of the unknown that made him zone out. There were only two ways he was going to be leaving this place, either by walking out or in a body bag. That much was clear. He did not have any other option than too fight or die. He pictured the layout of the showers from the balcony in his mind but that did not compare to actually having his boots on the ground.
His eyes scanned the golden patterns on the knife he held in his right hand, as he watched it role across his fingers to get the feel of the cold blade in his hand. He tossed it to his left hand and did the same motion, before gripping it back in his right. He looked up momentarily at the shower stall about a meter away from him. Like he anticipated, it blocked the view directly in front of him so he would not know which way his opponent would be coming. Two lines of broken lockers directly behind it was aligned so that the wider view was also blocked. Fifty chance left, fifty chance right, just the luck of the draw. He hooked his frag and flash grenade to his belt within easy reach and straightened his netting that covered his face.
Weapon: Viper’s Kiss, Melee Alpha. A strike from the Viper’s Kiss knife can prove fatal for any opposition
Lethal Equpiment: Frag Grenade
Tactical Equpiment: Flash Grenade
He wore durable gloves, resistant to any types of cuts or scratches from knives or glass, with good grip if he had to climb. So, when he ran the blade of the knife through the centre of his palm it made him look intimidating because he did not feel a thing. A couple of rocks flung past his head from above, one hit the base of his helmet. He glanced up, he couldn’t see much because the overhead lights were bright and stung his eye, but he knew there were others above on the balcony.
“Hurrensohn!!!” he muttered angry to himself and if looks could kill he would have already walked out of here a free man. An alarm sounded over head and he figured this was his time to move. He crouched and stepped forward to the broken shower stall. He half wondered what his opponent was thinking right about now. Was he a good guy? Was he a bad guy? He fought every day against his inner demons over if he was good or bad. He was trying to be better, but the odds were always stacked so high against him.
His breathing was swallow, his senses heightened, especially his hearing. He was alert, listening out for in any kind of footsteps to indicate which way his enemy was coming. He glanced around the right-hand side of the showers and quickly made his way to the line of broken lockers. From here, he gained advantage and a line of sight down the right-hand side up until the line of lockers on the opposite side. He could see circular tapestry where the flag stood. He stepped out and ran straight down the right side, keeping his eyes open and awareness high from footsteps coming from the sides and behind him.
All of sudden, a sharp pain erupted in his leg and he looked down for a moment taking his concentration away from his surroundings. The noise around him had muffled out and he felt more rocks fly around him. A knife had been thrown and it caught him in the thigh, he did not remove it automatically which went against all human instinct but he knew that could cause the bleeding to worsen and possibly inflict more damage than its worth. He had a high tolerance for pain too, so it felt like prick from a needle. He quickly glanced up as a heavily uniformed officer charged at him and rugby tackled him to the ground, giving him a punch.
Taking him by surprise, he struggled for a moment to gain the upper hand. He grabbed the helmet from his opponent and ripped it of his head. He was heavily armoured and displayed the Shadow Company logo on his chest. He knew this because the fraction only joined Allegiance not excessively long ago. He narrowed his eyes, so they were not just making opposite sides fight each other but same sides too. He flung a punch to his opponents exposed head and drew his knife which his opponent put all his strength into diverting. His hand and arm were smacked back above his head a few times which made him loosen the grip of his knife. He felt his shoulder crack in protested followed by a sharp pain he did not show. It was dislocated.
The Shadow Company Operator
Through gritted teeth, he growled and kicked out. His hands went up to his opponent’s throat and squeezed tightly. He felt his opponent weight lighten on top of him and this allowed him to kick out once more to free himself and roll on top. Now all his own weight and strength went into holding down his opponent by the throat. He could see now that he was struggling to breath and with a final blow to the larynx, he felt it crush in his hands so the other operative would not be able to make a sound which such vocal cord weakness.
This did not stop him, when he got in this frame of mind, he was dangerous. He began to punch the Shadow Company member. One punch after another, left, right, left, left, right as if he were a punching bag to the point he forgot about the knife in his own leg. Blood splattered everywhere and he figured as well as the larynx, the nose was broken too. If he were to stay alive, Krueger made sure that the quality of life would be poor and that he would not be able to serve again. The other operator shielded his face and was about to give in. He raised his hand into his inside jacket pocket and shoved a note in Krueger’s hand.
“Allegiance?” Operator AO109C growled darkly, it was not really a question and he got a slight nod from his opponent. “So much for loyalty…” With one swift movement he grabbed the knife that was on the floor and slammed it up into the bottom of his chin. He felt the knife tear through all the inner structures from the chin, mouth, reaching maybe to the base of the skull. He twirled the knife around while it was still inside before pulling it out with some extra gruesome bits, including strands of skin, blood and muscle as he watched the life of his opponent drain from him.
“Silent now” His voice cut through the air, chilling and cold.
He felt numb and it was not due to the knife in his leg, it was due to the shock. He rolled onto his back next to the dead body and starred at the ceiling of the Gulag. The lights were stronger than ever to the point where he heard the buzzing sound being emitted from them as he tried to calm down from the adrenaline rush. He stumbled to his feet, glancing around helplessly at the balcony above them. Rocks had stopped falling and he could only guess that the next two opponents were dreading their round after spectating what just happened.
He dragged the dead body, with a limp to the centre where the flag flew solemnly. He was not sure what happened next, but he felt annoyed, really annoyed, like the pent-up rage inside of him was only just beginning. “Is this what you want?” he yelled out angrily in no particular direction or to anyone. It was just aimed at this organisation in general. He observed the knife in his leg and pulled it out slowly before he grabbed the white flag from its pole and wrapped it around his injured leg tightly, he intended to keep it as a souvenir of his victory.
He slumped down in the centre of the shower, waiting for whatever came next. He searched the dead body next to him, collecting the frag and flash grenade, seeing as anything would be useful. He also pulled the dog tags from around his neck and shoved them in his pocket. That’s when the note fell out onto his lap that his opponent gave to him when he was alive a few moments ago. He picked it up to see a photo of the BCH4 news studio of the TV Station in Verdansk. On the back of the photo read a message:
Fractured : Find the cause of the airport attack “Find the location in the message Ghost sent you.”

Spring Break
When I was 19 years old, I went to Cancun, Mexico for spring break with eight of my girlfriends. They all flew together and I trailed them like toilet paper on a shoe because I was broke and the cheaper flights got in later.
Last to arrive, I remember panicking as the plane descended into the airport. What if I’m the only person on the hotel shuttle? What if the driver decides to take me to an abandoned parking garage and stab me in the face?
After being dropped off at my resort without so much as a rape, I booked it to the beach where my friends had been all morning. I waved to the group frantically as I dragged my roller suitcase through the scorching hot sand.
I needed them to know right away that a.) I had not been murdered and b.) I was committed to having fun above all else. Which is why I did not put on sunscreen and how I subsequently burned over 80% of my body.
Unwanted sexual attention would not be an issue for me on this trip. I was Freddy Krueger in a bikini.
_____
When women travel as a pack, we take on the energy of the most attractive people in our group. I certainly wasn’t getting any action on this vacation, but guys didn’t seem to mind talking to us just because I looked like a scab. My friends were sun-kissed and dewy and I gleefully leeched off of their good fortune.
Guy to my friend at the swim-up bar: “Can I buy you a drink?”
My friend: “Sure.”
Me treading in a collection of my own skin flakes: “Make it two!”
_____
I can’t remember the name of the club we went to on our second night, but I’m sure it was something cool like Luxx or Rehab. As soon as we walked in the door, we were ushered to a VIP section that, up until our arrival, had zero women in it.
This was where we met a very hairy man who urged us to join his table for bottle service and titillating conversation. He wasted no time and poured a singular drink in a massive bucket that he shoved toward us so aggressively he might as well have yelled, “drink up, pigs!”
The joke was on him though because we had no shame (Grey Goose is Grey Goose, people) and my burns were starting to sizzle, so we lunged at the drink quicker than you could say aloe vera.
“Alrighty, time to go,” said one of my friends.
“Wait, why? We libb-ery jess sant down,” said another, slightly muffled by the three neon straws jutting out of her mouth.
“He put something in our drink.”
“WHAT? How do you know?”
“I saw him dump some powder in the bucket.”
“Then why the FUCK are we drinking it?”
“I didn’t want to be rude! I figured we’d all take one sip and then jet.”
Never in your life have you seen eight women and a burn victim sprint so fast out of a room.
Did we leave the club? Of course not! We wanted to watch the wet T-shirt contest that had been advertised on the billboard outside. Plus the roofie wouldn’t kick in until much much later.
When the roofie kicked in minutes later, I started to feel like the DJ’s subwoofer was womp womp womp womping in sync with my heartbeat and was unnerved by how slowly everyone around me was moving. I quickly confirmed with my friends that they, too, were experiencing these sensations, and I was not, as I originally had thought, having a stroke.
The rest of the night was like being trapped in Dante’s seven layer hell dip. In order to make it back to our resort safely, we would have to overcome a number of obstacles (some more slippery than others) and witness an obscene amount of nudity.
_____
The wet T-shirt contest started out lighthearted enough. Our understanding was that each braless wonder would be brought out in a giant white T-shirt and doused with a generous amount of water. Then every man, woman, and child in the crowd would cheer and the contestant who received the loudest praise would win the love of her father.
I knew we were in trouble when the first contestant ripped her shirt clean off (Hulk style) before the water even touched her body.
“She’s set the bar too high!” I screamed to my best friend who looked just as overcome as I was.
Now all of the women would have to come out melons blasting or face utter humiliation.
When one wet-T-shirt contestant refused to remove her shirt, the crowd — with zero irony whatsoever — started chanting “PRUDE, PRUDE, PRUDE, PRUDE.”
_____
We had left the resort that night so we could dance without being mowed down by the gaze of dads on vacation with their families. Yes, we may have been roofied and completely overwhelmed by the spectacle of the female breast, but we refused to go home until we’d done what we’d come to do.
The dance floor we settled on was less of a floor and more of a collection of hole-laden crates tied together with rope. The mega-crate formed a dock that was ever-so-slightly submerged in the crystal blue waters of the Gulf. There were jets under the crates that were seemingly powered with rocket fuel because every few minutes a volcanic rush of salt water came blasting from below the dance floor creating an enema of Poseidon-like proportions.
Once our bowels had been sufficiently cleansed and there were no more FLO-RIDA songs left for us to fall over to, we decided it was time to head back to the resort.
_____
I wouldn’t describe myself as a wet blanket (see various anecdotes above), but I’m also not not cautious. Sure, we could get into this unmarked cab at three in the morning, but then we would be sold into sex slavery.
So when half of my girlfriends piled into the back of some guy claiming to be a taxi driver’s Jeep Cherokee, I called the hotel shuttle service with my other not not cautious friend, and we waited. And waited. And waited until it arrived.
Naturally we were the first ones back to the hotel because all of my other friends had been murdered.
I started daydreaming about which Z-list celebrity would play me on our episode of Brutally Slaughtered Abroad.
“Liz sat up for hours waiting for her friends to come back to the hotel. But the sun rose, the tides changed, and her skin molted. Time to face la musica — her friends were dead.”
Eventually, I was ripped from my fantasies as, one by one, my friends came storming into our hotel suite.
“I met the HOTTEST Australian guy.”
“ I have no clue how I got here.”
“I found a bag of bread in the elevator.”
“Water keeps seeping out of my butt.”
Half of them piled into my queen bed while the other half b-lined it for the jacuzzi. We spent the rest of the morning improvising each others’ eulogies and eating day-old ciabatta — collectively aware that we had cheated some kind of death.

Amazing Movies Built from Extraordinary Stories
Have you ever heard a story and thought “Wow! They should make a movie out of that.” Well, Hollywood does it all the time. There are some movies that you would have a hard time believing came from a true event. Some are biographies while some are based on an event that has a fictional story to explain the situation. Here are a couple movies that I saw cold and I was surprised to find afterwards that there was some truth on which the writing was based:
Network (1976) - This is our current film under review so I don’t want to give away too many spoilers before everybody gets a chance to watch it. I will say that the idea of the movie came from the 1974 on-air suicide of Christine Chubbuck who was a news reporter in Florida. She was clinically depressed and shot herself with a revolver on July 15th during a live broadcast. Although this does not happen exactly in the film, the research into the politics, stress, and competition over ratings following the event was the catalyst for the screenplay.
A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) - This film seems like the last thing that would come from any kind of real event, especially as the series went on and Freddie Krueger became more comedic. According to Wes Craven, the idea for the film started with the stories of Asian refugees who fled to the US in the 70s to escape genocide and were unable to sleep due to nightmares. For some individuals, it got so bad that their body would eventually shut down and they would not wake up when they finally passed out from exhaustion. Some foster families witnessed these refugees struggling with a nightmare and then suddenly die with no physical reason beyond exhaustion. From this horrific phenomena came the idea that a person could die from a bad dream and the script for the movie was created from there.
Goodfellas (1990) - It was an event, then a book, then a film. In 1978. A group of mobsters pulled off an incredible heist of the Lufthansa vault at the JFK airport, grabbing 5 million in cash and almost a million in jewels. It was reportedly masterminded by Jimmy Burke, who was an associate of the Lucchese crime family. The heist was a success and the money was never found, however most of the team that was believed to have committed the crime were found murdered around New York. The story of one of the participants was adapted into a book named “Wise Guys” and that story was one of the major plot points of the film by Martin Scorcese.
Fargo (1996) - There is quite a bit of argument about what events, if any, the story was based on. The Coen brothers have changed their explanation on many occasions, but the story on the DVD extras tells of a particular crime that sounds unbelievable. The movie was supposedly influenced by the 1986 murder of Helle Crafts, a woman who was murdered by her husband and whose body was put into a wood chipper. It was the first murder conviction in an American court without the proof of a body.
Magnolia (1999) - I did some researching into this movie after watching it, and I learned that there have been events in which fish eggs or frog spawn have evaporated within a lake only to be eventually rained down as fully grown animals. One such event was said to have foiled a robbery in the 70s. I am not sure how true this is, but the story was apparently the idea behind the turning point of the film. It seems like Paul Thomas Anderson had a single turning point and weaved 7 different stories around it.
The World’s Fastest Indian (2005) - One of my very favorite movies out of New Zealand, this is the story of Burt Munro and his motorcycle. He was a gear head who highly modified Indian brand motorcycles for flat speed. He set the land speed record for the fastest motorcycle under 1000 cc’s back in the 50′s despite a lack of care by most American’s that he encountered. The thought that you could get a 950 cc bike to over 200 mph seemed preposterous to me, but it is a true story. The much more believable aspect for me was the plucky Kiwi, of whom I have been lucky enough to meet many.
This is obviously not even the tip of the iceberg as far as stories that have inspired films. These are some of the movies, however, that I have watched without reading more than the name and had little or no knowledge of the background for the film. I read up on them after viewing and found lots of interesting information that I wanted to share with others. These kinds of films have made me want to do research and cemented my love of film.

Will & Lady Tree Chapter 1
So, this is a story I’ve been attempting to to write since...forever and I finally managed to wirte something decent. I wrote it first in spanish, then translated it to english and I’m glad with how it turned out. So I’m posting it here in the hopes someone will read it, maybe even like it, I don’t know, here goes nothing.
Will ran towards the low wall in front of him, his next move was all he had in mind. He leaped forward, reached the wall with both hands and then pushed himself even further only with his arms.
He stretched his body in the air; then kept his arms fully extended in front of him while bending his legs up. He reached another low wall and placed both hands on top. Using the leap’s momentum, he moved his legs down, between his arms, without touching the wall and landed on grass. He kept running until he was able to stop a few feet away from the second wall.
As soon as he stopped, his friends greeted him with cheers and applause.
“That’s how you do a Double Kong!” exclaimed Andrew “Awesome!” He said as he pat Will’s back.
“Thanks, man.” Replied Will returning the pat on his friend’s back.
“How long did you take to master that?” asked Paul.
“Three to four days” answered Will “For the basic move, of course” added immediately. Then he spent a few moments humming and looking at the distance in thought. “I think it took me about a month in total,” he finally replied, “I started at the gym with mats and gradually increased the distance between obstacles until I reached ten feet. This is the first time I do it on grass and I still don’t dare to do it on concrete or asphalt.”
“Do you think I’ll be able to do it soon?” asked Paul.
“Bad idea,” said Andrew “you’ve been doing this parkour thing for barely two months.”
“You could break a bone” added Will “And how would you practice then?”
“Well, I could brag about getting a broken bone while attempting a Double Kong.” said Paul, and everyone laughed.
“That’s not how it works” answered Andrew, shaking his head while grinning.
“I would rather brag about the Double Kong instead of a failed attempt.” said Will, still giggling.
His phone rang then. There was an unknown number with Egeoworl’s area code on the screen. The only ones from that town that used to call him were his parents. The few friends he had there preferred to use more discrete methods to get in touch with him.
So it was probably mom or dad calling to let him know they changed their number. Will answered the phone, still smiling over what Paul said.
“Hello”
“William?” asked an old man’s voice at the other side of the line.
He wasn’t expecting that.
“Hugh? Hi. How are you?”
“Will I – have to talk to you.”
There was something different about Hugh’s voice, a kind of tiredness Will didn’t remember. The family’s former gardener was an old man, true, but his voice had always been strong and clear. This was the first time he sounded according to his age.
“It’s about your parents” he continued. His voice was not only tired, there was also sadness in it; suddenly, Will felt as if he had a hole in his stomach. When he was finally able to speak, his voice came out as nothing but a whisper.
“What is it?” he asked.
“They were coming back from visiting some friends” the old man answered “Their plane crashed against a cliff – I’m sorry” his voice was also a whisper at the end.
The call must have ended at some point, because he could no longer hear Hugh’s voice on the other side. He must look awful, since his friends approached him with concern and he should have told them something, because both of them hugged him tight. But he couldn’t quite tell what was going on. If human beings had an auto pilot, Will’s had turned on that very moment.
Paul and Andrew walked him to his apartment; they helped him contact the rest of his family to inform them what happened and made tea while Will booked the soonest flight available to Egeoworl. When they left, they told him he could count on them for anything.
Will could barely look at them in the face while muttering a husky “Thank you”. He tried to smile, but suddenly his face was too heavy to move, or so he felt.
He packed, had some dinner, tried to sleep and next morning took a taxi to the airport. He never cried, he never even sobbed. As far as Will knew, he was also dead.
Sounds came to him muffled, distant. And even if he couldn’t say he saw everything in shades of gray, colors did seem duller and shadows were darker and deeper. It was as if a veil covered him, separating him from the rest of the world.
Maybe that’s what mourning was. When a loved one dies, you die with them too and sooner or later you are reborn. While you remain “dead”, you are so numb you can’t feel anything; the pain actually comes when the rebirth begins, for now you understand you must continue your life without a loved one.
Will was still “dead” and didn’t know when he will be reborn. He wasn’t eagerly expecting it either. In that state he did things automatically and not being fully present, right. But that was better than being invaded by feelings, at least for the moment. Plus, it was convenient.
He had over thirty hours of journey ahead and three connection flights in two different continents. He would leave London on an autumn Thursday and arrive at Egeoworl on a spring Saturday. Being “dead” would at least allow him to think and not make stupid mistakes. It would also give him the chance to go unnoticed.
Inside Heathrow Airport his looks could easily mix with those of the thousands of sleep deprived and tired travelers wandering through the corridors and stores or sitting in waiting rooms until their flights took off. He would have more time than enough to cry in Egeoworl.
He took his first flight, listened some music, dozed, ate; he fell fully asleep at some point and when he woke up they were about to land. He waited a few hours in the second airport doing pretty much the same he did during the flight.
Every time he had to move he felt heavy, as if he was asleep or paralyzed and someone else was moving him like a string puppet. It was amidst the Indic Ocean, on his way to Australia that the rebirth began.
Will woke up from one of many naps and felt something forming deep inside him. It started in his mind, stomach and heart at the same time. He suddenly needed to scream. But things wouldn’t end up well if he did it in the middle of a flight, so he went back to sleep. The scream, or whatever that was, wouldn’t come out if he was unconscious… right?
That worked the first two or three times but the scream became more powerful as hours went by. It soon invaded him completely; it was all he could think of and all he could feel. He spent the rest of the flight writhing desperately on his seat.
As soon as he came out of the plane, he ran to the nearest bathroom and threw up. Than seemed to stop the rebirth process for a while. Back to his living dead state, Will carried on with the journey. He would remain that way until the end.
He waited God knows how many hours on that Australian airport and finally took his last international flight. After some more hours of flight and a couple of hours in yet another waiting room, Will was boarding the small aircraft that would take him to St. Nicholas Island, where Egeoworl was located. It was the same type of aircraft in which his parents died.
The aircraft started shaking as they flew over the ocean. Turbulence was common on that region, as well as storms and fog banks. Technology made flights and ferry trips safer but traveling to St. Nicholas Island had always been dangerous.
They were about to land when Will saw the island’s cliffs and the accident site: It was surrounded by police tape and the area’s vegetation was nothing but pieces of coal. The crash was so intense that chunks of cliff fell onto the ocean.
Will stared that cliff area from his window; he couldn’t take his eyes off it no matter how hard he tried. His parents died there and, by what he saw, it had been awful.
When the aircraft came to a full stop all passengers went down to the landing track. Will noticed immediately the typical salty scent in the island’s air and took a deep breath; he would get used to in within a few days and no longer perceive it.
Once inside the building, the passengers gathered around the only conveyor belt and waited for their luggage. It was then that Will was able to look at them in detail. They all looked just like him or worse: numb, exhausted and devastated. All of them wore black and none seemed to be fully present. They were all living dead, exactly like Will.
There was a woman in front of him at the other side of the belt; her eyes were teary and reddened. She looked almost like his high school History teacher, who, if he remembered correctly, had an identic twin living in Auckland – oh shit.
The woman looked at him and burst into tears. Will remained in silence and lowered his head; his eyes now stung as they filled with tears. They didn’t know each other but there was no need. The conveyor belt started working at that moment. The sound shook Will, making him blink, scaring the tears away, only if for a while.
Luckily, his luggage was the first to come out. As soon as he grabbed it, he left that room as fast as he could. Will noticed the board next to the main entrance door on his way out; it was normally used for unimportant notices but this was not the case. This time there was a text on the board which read:
The people of Egeoworl are deeply saddened by the event that took place on November 19th. Our condolences go to the families of the victims.
O’Connor
Jones
Turner
Wood
Arbor
Smith
Brown
Krueger
Ríos
He froze right there and then; his last name was not on the list. What was he expecting? He was in Egeoworl after all. Will started shaking from head to toe; he clenched his teeth until his jaw hurt; gripped his luggage tightly until his knuckles went white and began sobbing without shedding a tear until his face turned red.
“They are so inconsiderate” Said a woman behind him.
“I can think of a word worse than that” Answered Will; choking on anger.
“I’m sure you can think of several, in fact”
Will turned around and met a woman about seventy years old. The lady was tall and stood straight; she wore all black, her clothes were covered in cat’s hair and from her came a scent of fresh herbs that Will could smell from where he was standing.
“Hi Mrs. Smith” said Will “Who in your family –
“My grandson, Edward” the woman interrupted “He started college at Wellington and forgot some things while moving out. He was coming to pick them up” she finished with a trembling whisper.
“I’m sorry” was all Will could say.
“Thank you” answered Mrs. Smith with a smile on her face and tears in her eyes “Are you the only member of your family who’s coming?”
Will nodded in silence. Then Mrs. Smith rummaged in her purse and took some white plastic pieces from it, they were board letters.
“I have one just like this at home” she said, nodding towards the board “A smaller one, of course, but it comes with different sized letters.”
Will’s heart shattered like glass. Mrs. Smith handed him the letters and pointed her gaze to the board once more.
“Go ahead” she said “They won’t dare to take it off. I wanted to add your last name since I saw the notice yesterday, but it’s way better if you do it.”
Will clutched the letters in his hands and headed towards the board; there was an empty space right at the bottom. He began placing the letters one by one: C, I, L, T, H. There were tears in his eyes by the time he finished writing his last name. He stepped back to take a look at the notice; it seemed as if it had been written that way since the beginning.
He read the text once more. Then tears streamed down his face and there was nothing he could do to stop them; he began to sob again, so hard this time he stopped breathing at all and his heart pounded against his chest so violently it hurt. William Cilth was finally reborn and it didn’t feel as bad as he’d imagine. It was infinitely worse.

Plot(edit)
Dr. Martin Harris (Liam Neeson) and his wife Liz (January Jones) arrive in Berlin for a biotechnology summit. At their hotel, Harris realizes he left his briefcase at the airport and takes a taxi to retrieve it. The taxi is involved in an accident and crashes into the Spree, knocking him unconscious. The driver rescues him but flees the scene. Harris regains consciousness at a hospital after being in a coma for four days.
When Harris returns to the hotel, he discovers Liz with another man (Aiden Quinn). Liz says this man is her husband and declares she does not know Harris. The police are called, and Harris attempts to prove his identity by calling a colleague named Rodney Cole, to no avail. He writes down his schedule for the next day from memory. When he visits the office of Professor Leo Bressler, whom he is scheduled to meet, 'Dr. Harris' is already there. As Harris attempts to prove his identity, 'Harris' provides identification and a family photo, both of which have his face. Overwhelmed by the identity crisis, Harris loses consciousness and awakens back at the hospital. A terrorist named Smith kills Harris's attending nurse, but Harris is able to escape him.
Harris seeks help from private investigator and former Stasi agent Ernst Jürgen. Harris's only clues are his father's book on botany and Gina (Diane Krueger), the taxi driver, an undocumented Bosnian immigrant who has been working at a diner since the crash. While Harris persuades her to help him, Jürgen researches Harris and the biotechnology summit, discovering it is to be attended by Prince Shada of Saudi Arabia. The prince is funding a secret project headed by Bressler, and has survived numerous assassination attempts. Jürgen suspects that the identity theft might be related.
Harris and Gina are attacked in her apartment by Smith and another terrorist, Jones; they escape after Gina kills Smith. Harris finds that Liz has written a series of numbers in his book, numbers that correspond to words found on specific pages. Using his schedule, Harris confronts Liz alone; she tells him that he left his briefcase at the airport. Meanwhile, Jürgen receives Cole at his office and reveals his findings about a secret terrorist group known as Section 15. Jürgen soon deduces that Cole is a former mercenary and member of the group. Knowing Cole is there to interrogate and kill him and with no way of escape, Jürgen commits suicide to protect Harris.
After retrieving his briefcase, Harris parts ways with Gina. When she sees him kidnapped by Cole and Jones, she steals a taxi and follows them. When Harris awakes, Cole explains that 'Martin Harris' is just a cover name created by Harris. His head injury caused him to believe the cover persona was real; when Liz notified Cole of the injury, 'Harris' was activated as his replacement. Gina runs over Jones before he can kill Harris, then rams Cole's van, killing him as well. After Harris finds a hidden compartment in his briefcase containing two Canadian passports, he remembers that he and Liz were in Berlin three months earlier to plant a bomb in Prince Shada's suite.
Now aware of his own role in the assassination plot, Harris seeks to redeem himself by thwarting it. Hotel security immediately arrests Harris and Gina, but Harris proves his earlier visit to the hotel. After security is convinced of the bomb's presence, they evacuate the hotel.
Harris realizes that Section 15's target is not Prince Shada, but Bressler, who has developed a genetically modified breed of corn capable of surviving harsh climates. Liz accesses Bressler's laptop and steals the data. With Bressler's death and the theft of his research, billions of dollars would fall into the wrong hands. Seeing that the assassination attempt has been foiled, Liz tries to disarm the bomb but fails and is killed when it explodes. Harris kills 'Harris', the last remaining Section 15 terrorist, before he can murder Bressler. While Bressler announces that he is giving his project to the world for free, Harris and Gina—with new identities—board a train together.

The site's critical consensus reads, 'Liam Neeson elevates the proceedings considerably, but Unknown is ultimately too derivative – and implausible – to take advantage of its intriguing premise.'(14) On Metacritic the film has an average weighted score of 56 out of 100, based on 38 critics, indicating 'mixed or average reviews'.(15) Audiences polled by CinemaScore gave the film an average grade of 'B+' on an A+ to F scale.(16)
Richard Roeper gave the film a B+ and wrote, 'At times, Unknown stretches plausibility to the near breaking point, but it's so well paced and the performances are so strong and most of the questions are ultimately answered. This is a very solid thriller.'(17) Justin Chang of Variety called it 'an emotionally and psychologically threadbare exercise'.(18)
Box office(edit)
Unknown grossed $63.7 million in North America and $72.4 million in other territories for a worldwide total of $136.1 million.
It finished at number one opening at its first week of release with $21.9 million.(19)

OFF THE GRID AND INTO THE SKY RETREAT
I was in a yoga retreat hosted by the fantastic yoga teacher Pedro Luna at Sky Retreat in North Carolina; therefore, I want to share my experience with all of you, beautiful souls!
First, I lost my flight! But the American Airlines staff allowed me to fly on the next flight to North Carolina. On the flight, I sat down next to a lady watching videos on her phone on speaker. I couldn't sleep during the flight! Luckily, the flight was quick, so I killed time reading my book. When I finally was at Sky retreat, I went to my cabin to nap before the evening yoga class. Well, I missed about 40min of the yoga class because I forgot to put my alarm to wake me up. However, Pedro allowed me to join for the last 15-20min of the yoga class!
I went hiking to see a beautiful waterfall with the tribe, but it looked like I twisted my left ankle on my way back through the hiking trail! I didn't feel any pain or soreness until Wednesday.
Then I went tubing, and when I was about to get out of the river, I slipped and landed on my glutes! I get out with my shorts full of mud. This may worsen my left ankle injury because I felt soreness on my left ankle during the evening yoga class and dinner. So I asked Pedro if he could find me an ace bandage to stabilize my left ankle. Luckily, Pedro asked Beth Anderson, the manager of the Sky Retreat, who was able to provide me with an ace bandage.
The next day, I was able to do the morning yoga routine without any soreness on my left ankle. I skipped lunch because I was full from breakfast that morning. Then, I had a fantastic healing massage by Beth Anderson. I couldn't do the yoga routine in the evening because I wanted to keep my left ankle iced suggested by two tribe members, Rene and Giana. Another tribe member, Jackie, was lovely to give me Arnicare to apply on my left ankle.
On the last day, it was the saddest day of the whole retreat because it was the day to say goodbye to everyone! However, it wasn't a goodbye for me; it was a see you soon! At Charlotte airport, I was stopped by security because I had two bottles of Coca-Cola on my backpack, my water bottle had water on it, and a bottle of bug spray on my carry-on. I didn't mind going back to the start of the checkpoint process because I had plenty of time to spare before my flight back home. On my flight back home, a guy took my seat next to the window, but I ended up becoming friends with him! We even watched Wonder Women 1984 on my phone together! When I arrived at Fort Lauderdale airport, there was a rain cloud, so the airplane flew over the airport for about 30 min until the rain cloud was gone to land. Lastly, when I was out of the airport waiting for my parents to pick me up, I waited like 30-45 min at the baggage claim because my parents were late.
Even though I lost my flight, twisted my ankle, slipped and fell at the river, stopped by Charlotte airport security, waited for my parents to pick me up, it was an unforgettable experience!
I met incredible people who are like-minded and vulnerable!
In just a few days, I felt attached to these people! I'm grateful to meet them! I'm thankful to share memories with them! I'm thankful to share many delicious meals from Chef Jose Luna with them for the past week! I'm so grateful they share their story with me!
I'm so grateful to spend this experience with Summer Luna, Pedro Luna, Chef Jose Luna, Dane Walthers, Kelly Rodriguez, Penny Gardner, Uncle Charlie, Rene, Patricia, Pam Satty Brandsdorfer, Gianna, Katie Donof, Hearon Dickson, Sabrina Victoria, Carissa Caster Eisele, Mere, Mackenzie Krueger, Beth Anderson, Jackie, Mariana, Liliana, Lisa, and Lloyd!
Thanks so much for co-creating this experience with me and for becoming part of my life!

Plot[edit]
A Terrorist named Smith kills his attending nurse, but Harris escapes.

Principal photography took place in early February 2010 in Berlin, Germany, and in the Studio Babelsberg film studios.[6] The bridge the taxi plunges from is the Oberbaumbrücke. The Friedrichstraße was blocked for several nights for the shooting of a car chase. Some of the shooting was done in the Hotel Adlon. Locations include the Neue Nationalgalerie, Berlin Hauptbahnhof, Berlin Friedrichstraße station, Pariser Platz, Museum Island, the Oranienburger Straße in Berlin and the Leipzig/Halle Airport.[8] According to Andrew Rona, the budget was $40 million.[9] Producer Joel Silver's US company Dark Castle Entertainment contributed $30 million.[10] German public film funds supported the production with €4.65 million (more than $6 million).[11] The working title was Unknown White Male.
Release[edit]
Unknown was screened out of competition at the 61st Berlin International Film Festival.[12] It was released in the United States on February 18, 2011.
Critical response[edit]
On Rotten Tomatoes, a review aggregator, the film has an approval rating of 55% based on 200 reviews; the average rating is 5.81/10. The site's critical consensus reads, 'Liam Neeson elevates the proceedings considerably, but Unknown is ultimately too derivative – and implausible – to take advantage of its intriguing premise.'[13] On Metacritic the film has an average weighted score of 56 out of 100, based on 38 critics, indicating 'mixed or average reviews'.[14] Audiences polled by CinemaScore gave the film an average grade of 'B+' on an A+ to F scale.[15]
Richard Roeper gave the film a B+ and wrote, 'At times, Unknown stretches plausibility to the near breaking point, but it's so well paced and the performances are so strong and most of the questions are ultimately answered. This is a very solid thriller.'[16] Justin Chang of Variety called it 'an emotionally and psychologically threadbare exercise'.[17]
Box office[edit]
Unknown grossed $63.7 million in North America and $72.4 million in other territories for a worldwide total of $136.1 million.
It finished a number one opening at its first week of release with $21.9 million.[18]

How Can “IT” Love a Human? Finale
Pt. 1
Pt. 2
Pt. 3
At the private airport, Scarlet got out of the taxi and walked into the waiting room for her private jet plane to land. Scarlet took out her family photo from when Kandy was being held by her big brother. Scarlet never have forgotten when Pennywise shouted ‘Fat Chubbies’. When she made a chuckle, she started to cough worse than before. “Ma’am, are you feeling alright?” asked the attendant. Scarlet nodded as she’s saying that she’s fine. “I’ll be fine... What time is it?” Scarlet asked. “It is... 9:49 pm,” the attendant answered.
***
Meanwhile, Cassandra was driving Pennywise and the kids to the airport after giving her some threaten-like persuasion. “If what you’re telling me is true, I really hope we make it...” Cassandra said to Pennywise as she was concentrating on the road. Just then, the train came by and had no choice but to stop. “What the hell are you doing?” Pennywise asked. “There’s a train you dope! I can’t past a train.” Cassandra scolded.
It was 9:55, and he knew that by the time the train leaves, they won’t make it in time. “Give me the wheel, I can get us to the airport.” Pennywise offered. “No freakin’ way... I don’t trust you.” Cassandra argued. “If you care so much about your cousin, you’d obey my request and give me the freakin’ WHEEL.” Pennywise said with red in his eyes. Cassandra had no choice but to let Pennywise drive. “Hang on kids, daddy’s driving...” Pennywise adjusted the mirrors and put on his nighttime shades and floored the speed pedal and drove off the road to beat the train. Cassandra was freaking out as she was regretting for letting Pennywise drive. Archie too was petrified, except for Kandy who was sleeping the whole time.
Pennywise drove neck to neck with the train and spotted the perfect spot to use as a ramp, but he had to drive past the train, so he adjusted the nozzle and hit the speed that was impossible for a corvette to handle but succeeded. As Cassandra and Archie screamed in fear with Kandy screaming with excitement after waking up from a commotion, Pennywise speeded up and made the leap before the train could crush them all. Pennywise looked back to see if his kids are alright. “You kids okay? When this whole nightmare is over, I’ll take you kids to McDonalds for a Kids Meal.” Pennywise said while patting Archie’s leg. Then he turned to Cassandra. “You want a Big Mac later, cuz-in-law?” Pennywise chuckled. Cassandra stared angrily at Pennywise as she was fixing her hair and adjusting her glasses.
***
When they finally made it to the private airport, Pennywise noticed a private jet was about to fly, so he leaped out of the car and ran after it, thinking that it was Scarlet’s plane flying away.
“NOOO... STAR...” Pennywise shouted as the private jet flew away. Pennywise collapsed to the ground in grief.
Cassandra and the kids rushed over towards Pennywise as the kids wanted to comfort him. Cassandra noticed another private jet landed, so she checked the time on her watch. “Pennywise, that was the wrong plane; that was a 9:55 pm plane. Scarlet’s plane just landed.” Cassandra told Pennywise with excitement. Pennywise looked over and saw Scarlet walking over to the pilot.
Albert the pilot escorted Scarlet onto the plane, until she stopped, she couldn’t feel her pulses and is starting to lose clear vision. “Ms. Jones are you alright?” Scarlet then started to weaken and began to lose her balance. “STAR...” Pennywise rushed over to Aquarius at an impossible speed to catch her before she hits her head hard to the ground. Scarlet couldn’t see very well, but she can recognize the white face. “...Penny... What are you doing here?” Scarlet asked weakly.
“What do you think? I have Cassandra drive me and the kids to the airport to fetch you--”
“You never loved me though--”
“Just shut up and listen!!!” Pennywise said in a stern tone. Scarlet decided to stop talking so she can let Pennywise speak. “To you you’re Scarlet... To me, you’re still Aquarius the Singing Clown, and you don’t have to be a clown to receive my affection... I know I said I can’t ever love you as a human, but that’s only because I don’t want to hurt you...” Scarlet started to cough hard before Pennywise could finish. “I still love you Penny... Both you and the kids... But I don’t think I can make it...” Scarlet said. “Yes you can; the only thing that can keep you alive is being with your family, and me and the kids are here for you... I love you Star.” Pennywise said as he saw Scarlet smiling weakly with tears in her eyes.
Pennywise gently kissed her by the lips for a long while. He thought that Aquarius will be alright after that... apparently... Star gave up her last breath after the kiss ended. “Star... STAR?” Pennywise said in shock. Cassandra crouched down to feel her pulse on her arm. “She’s... she’s gone...” Cassandra said as she teared up. Pennywise’s eyes were wide open after hearing the fact that Aquarius actually died. Pennywise screamed to the heavens and hell with a mix of ferocious animal noises. Pennywise held Aquarius against his chest while crying with his face pasted to her head. “Star... I’m so sorry... I’m so very sorry...” Pennywise whispered. normally his tears would float up, but this time, his tears dripped down onto her cheek.
After a while, Pennywise walked away with grief with Cassandra following him, leaving Archie and Kandy behind. Archie cling towards his mom while Kandy crawls out of her big brother’s backpack and crawled towards her mommy. “Momma...” Kandy said, as it was her very first word. With Kandy’s word being heard by Archie, they also heard another voice. “Did... Did Kandy just said her first word...” “MOMMY,” Kandy squealed with excitement. Not only did Scarlet came back to life, but she regained her clown form. Archie also cling to his mom with happy tears, as she was hugging both her kids with happy tears.
Aquarius noticed Pennywise standing back facing her while Cassandra tries to comfort him, as both of them were unaware of Aquarius being revived. She walked over to her husband and laid a hand on her husband’s shoulder. “Penny...” Pennywise turned quickly and saw the part-human and part demon clown girl he loved. Pennywise immediately grabbed hold of her and lifted her up in the air before kissing her hard. “I thought I lost you... How is that possible?” Pennywise asked while tearing up. “I don’t know... I was blackened out, until I’ve heard Kandy’s first word.” Aquarius answered. Pennywise turned towards his daughter and walked over and picked her up. “Didja just said your first word, Kandy?” Pennywise asked in a cute cooing sort of way. “Momma...” Kandy said as she extended her arms towards her mommy. Aquarius took her daughter into her arms and kissed her by the head while Archie was being picked up by his dad. “Dad, I think Kandy has discovered her secret power; the power of reviving...” Archie said. Pennywise chuckled before he hugged his son. “Kandy is still a baby, son; I think your mom coming back to life was a lucky coincidence.” Pennywise said to his son.
When Archie looked over at his baby sister, he could have sworn that he just saw Kandy smile with little fangs and made a wink at him. Archie realized that Kandy is a lot smarter than he thinks; however, no one is going to believe him, so he decided to leave it at that... Until next time perhaps.
***
The next morning, Aquarius was sleeping peacefully until she smelled something good. Pennywise came in, wearing his comical black waitress costume. “Penny, what the hell are you wearing!” Aquarius laughed. “I thought I just try on a new look. So I thought I make you Bacon and Legs-- uh I mean-- Bacon and Eggs...” Pennywise chuckled awkwardly. Aquarius laughed at Pennywise’s performance and his word error; known to the fact that she usually cooks Pennywise some bacon and legs, which explains his word error. Pennywise’s eggs and bacon are a little imperfection, with the bacon kind of burnt and the eggs had a broken yoke... Just the way she likes them. “What made you want to do this for me?” Aquarius asked while eating her breakfast. Pennywise sat next to his wife while lying down in a sexy pose; exposing his garter. “You’ve been through a lot; ever since we’ve started a family, you do most of the house work... Since the other day when you were human because of The Dream Demon, I have to raise the kids myself... It was hard, and I really missed you. So you deserve some time off...” Pennywise got on top of Aquarius with his legs spread apart and gently removed her plate. “I took the liberty to send the kids to the Voorhees place for the day... so you and I can have the time for ourselves... You deserve some nice pampering... What do you say... Scarlet?” Pennywise asked with a wink.
Aquarius smiled in fondness since she knew that he was doing this because he was feeling guilty for the way he acted. It made her feel so loved. So she placed her hands on his cheeks. “From all the trouble you’ve been putting yourself into just for me, made me realize that I’ve been more loved than ever before... I’m glad that I became your mate...” Aquarius said before they kissed. Pennywise broke the kiss to ask Aquarius a question. “Can I remove this outfit now? it’s making me feel itchy and my garter is starting to block the bloodstream.” Pennywise asked with a little whine. Aquarius laughed as she agreed; since he had to remove it anyway for... Well, you get the drift.
[In Hell]
While the Satin Clown was distracted, Freddy was getting close into breaking free from the chains, even if he had to cut off his own hand to do so; after all, he is a The Nightmare Demon and his limbs will grow back. So Freddy Krueger escaped the carnie hell and back to his lair.
So at night, you can almost hear his maniacal laughter.

Overwhelmed by the identity crisis, Harris loses consciousness and awakens back at the hospital. A Terrorist named Smith kills his attending nurse, but Harris escapes.

Production[edit]
Friedrichstraße, Berlin, is the scene of a car chase
Oberbaumbrücke, from which the taxi plunges into the river

A hallelujah to this bar - Krüger Berlin I wanna apologize right away that especially in the beginning the visits of the reviewed places are not from the near past. When I came closer to my decision to do this blog, I was starting to take pictures of places and collecting some data. So now I have a few pics in my stock which I still wanna review for you. Also I rarely find the time to sit down and write, so I hope at some point I will have a better routine. My first review here on 00secrets has to be a real highlight, a toilet that makes me wanna scream “hallelujah”. There are bar owners out there who know exactly what it means to enclose the bathrooms in the customer experience, to have a full concept and are playful and caring with these spaces. One of these places is Krüger, a 70s retro looking bar with many cool details and fine drinks situated in Lychener Straße 26 in Prenzlauer Berg - one of Berlin’s best areas to go to for a great drink. At least in my opinion. So it happened that I went there on February, 18th with friends who have just arrived late at the airport and who wanted to have a first glimpse of the town. The bar itself is already worth a visit, but when you go, make sure you drink a lot, cause the toilets are even better! The ladies toilet - yes it’s just one but the bar is small - is a big room full of a weird combination of pictures, a body scale, 2 comfortable chairs, a dressing table with candles and flowers, plants and Mr. Proper watching you. A disco light and a big heart with the Grease actors bring the 70s motto back in here. And the red colour on the upper walls makes it really cosy and comfy. The design is just so funny and entertaining that one almost can forget to check the hygienic details, but don’t worry, I have it covered. Or let’s say Krüger has it all covered, cause it’s all there: soap, paper, enough toilet paper. The sink, the toilet bowl and even the floor is well cleaned and I probably should mention that I was there at 2 in the morning on a Saturday night. Last but not least I was also able to take a look at the gents room and although it’s less pretty and playful, the bar owner also tried to make it special with a table close to the toilet bowl in case a guy wants to spend more time in there. So, well done, I am clearly impressed and in toilet heaven - HALLELUJAAAAAAH!!! But please go, check it out yourself, enjoy and I am happy to get your feedback and comments. http://krueger-in-berlin.de 52°32'33.828"N 13°25'0.166"E 00secrets by Anne
