okay, first is probably memories, mostly because if i could only listen to one conan song for the rest of my life i would probably say this one. i just love how anthemic it feels and i have so many people i’d love to forget about so i relate a lot, also he just sounds so good? like

second…the exit (spoiler: im a superache girlie). this one is second probably because of the emotional sentiment i have attatched to it? it’s my sisters favorite conan song, and she’s my best friend, and whenever we sing his songs in the car and it’s one of the songs where there’s two parts at once she ALWAYS does the long adlib parts because she thinks she can sing and i take the other part. it’s our thing :)

You and Ichika were having your classic practice date when both of you just played ransoms songs which happen to be mostly Miku songs on guitars and sometimes even singing them!

You decided to surprise your girlfriend by randomly playing one of the songs that always caught your heart, "Therefore You and Me", also known as "Yueni Yuu en Mi". At first she looked at you in slight confusion but soon recognizes the song and grabs her own guitar swiftly joining your play. As for singing, she let you finish first verse with admirable smile and joined you in the chorus.

As for second verse, it was you who let her take the main part as you sang side lines.

It's easy to say both of you had lots of fun doing so! And surprisingly, you didn't even talked about who sing what part in song and yet you were guessing extremely well! As if you had plenty of practice when it was just random song you thought of in the moment.

And that was the moment when you began to play! It was a while untill she began to sing along. In fact, it was a bit awkward at first but soon she got comfortable and you could hear she was singing a bit more confidently now.

It was honestly admirable sight because you could for once see her relaxed. Maybe it wasn't anywhere need public solo concert but it definitely was your special moment and one big step forward for your girlfriend!

And that was honestly the answer you wanted to hear! So as soon as you hears it, you grabbed your guitar and without second thought began to play the well known song. And your girlfriend for one, was more than happy to sing it along with you!

You knew the gray haired girl hat soothing voice but this song was literally perfect for her voice! You had to be careful not to fall asleep or loose the tempe to her voice.

Five years ago, on March 20th 2020, this album began my life! So in celebration of these past five years, I wanted to make this little birthday gift for us.

Words cannot express how grateful I feel to everybody who welcomed me into their worlds because of these songs. Of all the 200+ songs I wrote for this album, Bed Rest felt like the perfect way to celebrate the 5 year anniversary; because not only does it perfectly encapsulate how I felt about life then, it somehow also speaks so perfectly to how I feel about life now, five years later (sometimes you have to go a little crazy before you can come back to your senses).

I included Heather (Lost Verse) [Live] from the tour, as well as The Cut That Always Bleeds [Live] too. The vinyl includes my handwritten lyrics, and some sketches I did for the front and back cover :)

1. It used to ask the people in clearing two a lot of questions when it first woke up in the maze because it didn't know a lot about the world 2. After the whole prison incident it has a horrible fear of enclosed spaces 3. Loves winter (yes this is because of that moment where it first experienced snow and that was a happy moment it had with Magic) 4. Oh! See also: Fear of water / drowning. Wonder why. 5. Did I hear paranoia swag? Paranoia swag 💪 6. It mimics people's speech and small phrases, kind of parrot-ish but like okay. I project a bit. 7. It once dyed its hair like. Blue. In the maze, and absolutely just vehemently hated it so much (even though it was kind of funny) 8. Once everything was like. All said and done and it was out of the maze (this is assuming STARR isn't needlessly cruel and like. yknow. it's given some flavor of freedom) it immediately delved into learning all it could about the world it's practically never experienced 9. I headcanon it listening to a lot of artists like Enon and Apes of the State (highly recommend btw) 10. Another post-maze headcanon: It kept a book where it wrote down everything, and once that book was filled out completely, it burnt it :) [Something about catharsis because good LORD it needs that] 11. It never stopped wanting to be better / be a good person, and a while later, it wound up trying to move on, starting over again (it wasn't easy, and it was still angry, so angry, but it didn't want to live in the past anymore)

I'm actually half-serious about making Casagi a thing btw! I do have a Casagi fic (possibly Radiant Souls-adjacent, haven't yet decided but I'm leaning toward it) that's half-realized and in the works. There's a chapter or two that I may finish and put out there, see how people like it? Maybe. Depends on my energy levels, I'm always working on too many things at once.

The chemistry between those two is absolutely adorable, though. It's definitely a First Real Young Love story but in a way that I feel would appeal to an older audience too. I mean I'm usually not one for teen romance these days because I'm typically a bit more interested in the dynamics of older adult love, not the dynamics of around high school-aged kids (as if my interest in Baronjitsu etc. doesn't make that beyond obvious that I like those oldies lol.)

But the way I plan to write Casagi is:

These two are ~18-19.

This is Casey/Krow's first crush ever, because of course as a child in war he did not have time for that, much less knowing people his age for a long enough period.

Usagi/Yukito has dated a little bit (unbeknownst to him he is popular and crushed on by many genders since he's a pretty boy type) but relationships never worked out long-term and no one has ever made him Feel Like This before.

When they first meet happens some time after the Krang Invasion, when Krow/Casey is able to get his bearings and start to adjust to life in the present.

In this verse, there's no conflict of adult versions because Casey Jr. never met adult Usagi in the Future timeline. He and Usagi meeting is unique to the fixed present timeline.

Casey/Krow and Usagi/Yukito are complementing opposites in various ways, both character traits and aesthetics. They are naturally very curious about each other as a result.

I think that's a pretty cute starting point for them! But there will be more of these two at some point. I didn't develop ideas for many, many months for nothing. I really plan to do more, I was just nervous because it is a pairing that it seems no one has ever made before (which I am very surprised about).
