He was 10-15 years ahead of his time in the sense that every kid coming into the game wants hands like Patrick Kane. He's revolutionised the entire game for the new players, and that's why he's so good still today because he was basically playing today's game 15 years ago.

I just watched the ‘Hawks game and when I caught the segment of NBC with Bryan Bickell, I was shocked to see him figure skating. So of course after the game ended I had to go to Youtube and check what’s that about. 

As a non-Canadian who never heard of the show Battle of the Blades, it’s was a nice surprise to see the performances and the production of the show. Plus, from the recommandation I learned that Kris Versteeg also participated in the show. I saw all of his performances as well.

Honestly I would have probably watched the show if I was aware of its existence before.
