Introducing my third oldest OC, Koso Starkwolff!! His design is more simple compared to Shard and Zalem’s designs, but he was still fun to draw again!!

Bio: Koso is the son of a German army engineer (his dad) and a bipolar Japanese photographer (his mom). He also has a little sister named Cagome who’s ten years his junior and has tachyarrhythmia, a condition in which the heart has irregular or skipping heartbeats at times, and the kind she has makes her heart beat faster than it’s suppose to on occasion. His little sister’s condition and his mother’s journey with her bipolar disorder inspired him to become a doctor and study medicine and psychology as he got older, and work in the field of medicine as an adult. Koso also has OCD, and he tends to repetitively clean and organize his stuff and stuff around the house, and even other peoples’ stuff if he has permission to do so. He sometimes feels bad about it, though, because he feels like he’s just a walking OCD stereotype, but Shard and Zalem have helped him gain more self-confidence about it and whatnot!!

He had a pretty average childhood, but he had to help out his mom and take care of his sister when his dad wasn’t home and his mom was having a downswing period. Other than that, though, he grew up with a very loving family and was treated very well by his parents.

Koso is also a werewolf, as are the rest of the DMAB people in his bloodline. DFAB people can only be carriers, and if they are werewolves, it’s because the parents both carried the recessive gene for the werewolf gene. The form is dormant until the person hits puberty, and they transform into their werewolf form under the full moon no matter what until the person turns 18, and after that they can transform into their werewolf form whenever they want, but only at night. With this, the form is weakest during the new moon, and strongest during the full moon. When he’s in that form, he becomes illiterate, but he still holds most of his personality and intelligence from his human form, but with a layer of animalistic instincts.

He met Shard and Zalem when they were all little kids, since his parents used to be college buddies with Shard and Zalem’s parents, and they’re both the longest-lasting friendships he’s had with anyone. He also met his girlfriend, Lokka, in their sophomore year of high school, but they didn’t start dating until their senior year.

Fun Facts

Koso has Ophidiophobia (fear of snakes) and Claustrophobia (fear of tight and enclosed spaces). The first one stems from when he accidentally watched part of a documentary on venomous snakes as a little kid and it traumatized him ever since, and the second one stems from when he accidentally locked himself in the washing machine when he was trying to get something out of there and the door snagged and locked on itself; he was home alone so no one could get him out until his mother came home two hours later and heard him crying inside the washing machine.

He tends to keep up a stoic and no-nonsense facade due to his autism making it difficult for him to express his emotions at times and empathize with others, but he’s actually a huge socially-awkward sweetheart once you get past his tough exterior.

Lokka, Shard, and Hatter are the few people that know just how to push his buttons and make him lose his temper and break his aloof facade.

Even though him and Shard and Hatter tend to butt heads with each other a lot, he still considers them good friends and knows they mean no ill will against him when they mess with him like that.

Because of his werewolf bloodline, he’s allergic to most chocolate except for white chocolate, since it contains no traces of cocoa. If he eats something with chocolate in it, he’ll have an allergic reaction similar to food poisoning that lasts for a few days.

He loves coffee, tho, and his favorite kind are pumpkin spice lattes (he ignores the fact that it’s considered “white girl coffee” bc gdi it’s good coffee and he enjoys it so who cares).

His favorite music genre is classical music and smooth jazz because it helps him focus and calm down if he’s having an OCD and/or anxiety episode. He also really likes use them as auditory stims.

His favorite stims are listening to music and chewing on a special stim stick he has that doesn’t get spit everywhere, which is why he likes chewing on that the most more than other things.

He’s basically the Mom Friend in the sense that he makes sure everyone’s eating/drinking water/showering/etc.

He’s also very touch adverse, but he’ll let you touch him without asking for permission if he trusts you enough and considers you a close enough friend.

Koso talks very formally and whatnot, and that’s mostly due to the fact that he reads a lot of high-level books and whatnot; he’s also really good at picking up sarcasm, but he struggles with learning slang terms.

The only person that’s able to fluster him the easiest is Lokka; she’s also one of the few people he feels comfortable enough with expressing PDA, even if it’s pretty lowkey.
