At work there is a man, A-kun, who is mentally disabled. He's a kind soul and often does things like talking to himself or asks random stuff or calls out to someone just to hear a response. It's adorable.

He's very intelligent too, so sometimes he says "What day is the 3rd of March 2025? Thursday!" etc. And he knows the birthdays and ages of many people!

Today, when our working group left the resting room (like, uh, not the toilet but a place to eat?) and walked to the stairs to go down, he was in the neighbouring room. He heard us leaving, opened the door, poked his head out and shouted "Konnichiha!!" and closed the door again.

never forget bandai shat out this t-shirt a couple years ago to celebrate splash star’s 15th anniversary

yes it says ‘futariha’ instead of ‘futari wa’, for some reason every single instance of ‘futari wa pretty cure’ (whether it’s the OG series, max heart, or splash star) written in english in japan writes it as ‘futari ha precure’

i do get that the は character used in ふたりは is the hiragana ‘ha’ but it’s supposed to be read and romanized as ‘wa’ in that instance because it’s used as a particle, it’s just like how ‘こんにちは’ (konnichiwa) also uses the ‘ha’ hiragana but the word isn’t pronounced or written as ‘konnichiha’

Hello! Konnichiwa! (Properly we spell it, Konnichiha.)

Welcome to "Japan Gourmet" page.

I cook  what I would like to have in the videos.

I mostly enjoy cooking traditional and

 healthy Japanese home style cooking, Japanese fusion,  modernized Japanese food,  or Japanese style foreign food.

I love Okonomiyaki / savory Japanese pancake.  I believe my recipe of it is the best one in the whole world  untill I would encounter the one which is better than mine 🌍 😂

I love Nigiri-zushi (Sushi) with fresh fish, and traditional Japanese omlette, called kásútérá-támágó, and I love so many kinds of  Japanese food.

I love Matcha cookies, and  Matcha Swiss Roll as well.

Let me introduce myself a little:

I am a licensed food safety supervisor in Japan.  I am not a chef. 

I had been teaching home style Japanese cooking to non-Japanese people from 1989-2004 in Japan.

I was born to a traditional and gourmet Japanese family.

One of my granduncles was a chef at Míyákó Hotel until he opened up his own restaurant.

The art of cooking was handed down to my grandfather, mom, and me.

My father and I used to go fishing together at Pacific Ocean.

 He taught me how to fish, how to cook fish and how to fillet the fish, and how to sharpen the knives with whetstones.

(Only one thing that he did not teach me is how to make fishing line.  😂)

Also my family background is SAMURAI. (Grandma's side is also SAMURAI background.)

My great grandpa was one of the last ones, as he was born  in the end of Meiji Restoration.   (He was not a so called "Last Samurai")

I hope you enjoy my videos on Japanese cooking, and I hope many people would be able to tell between traditional  / authentic Japanese food and fusion /  modernized one, or  Japanized foreign food by my videos.
