Someone shared this joke in a server we're in, I decided to add it to our AAC, on a whim I decided to quickly draw symbols for it. Uh. They're here if you want them!

Body's mom tried to tell us we're going to church with them tomorrow and I'm fucking furious about it. I reminded her that we're converting to Judaism and said no, we're not going to church, and she got all exasperated about it, going on about "it's Christmas! You can sit with your family!" So I asked her if she would go to Hannukah services with us, reminding her that the body's dad explicitly said they wouldn't, quote, "spin the dreidel" with us when we told them about our conversion, and she said she doesn't have an answer.

Worth noting, Hannukah is also the "they tried to convert us but we survived!" holiday. I'm so fucking mad.

hi! i had a question regarding juvelic; is there any particular reason as to why nongender xlx are tagged as well? I don't mean to be rude, I just thought that juvelic was for gender-related xlx - like is it for a specific reason or just for ease of finding? ty ^^

We also thought it was gender-loving-gender, but apparently that's not as common a view as we thought? Shrugs.

I don't remember which of us started tagging non-gender orientations with juvelic, but seeing as I (Kond of PV) am not one of the main runners of this blog, I personally tag them with juvelic because I saw others in my system doing it. My best guess is that it's both for ease of finding and because of mirroring the tagging practices of the wider MOGAI community, since this is a community resource and all.

I... am weird and might have a slight crush(?) On a worker at the nearby drugstore.

He's always really nice (I know its a plus when working in customer service, ok. I know he's not just nice to me. Its to everyone ok? I get it.)

But he's got a really soothing voice and sometimes he says stuff that makes me blush even though I know its just to be polite. Like I will absolutely NOT be telling him. He doesn't need to know and doesn't need to be made uncomfortable. I'm also a cluster fuck of mental illness. No one needs to deal with that.

But today he was ringing me up at the register and told me to have a nice day and that he appreciated me and I just fjjdjsjdjdjd thank you random dude. I don't think you know how much that meant. I think he saw some of my fresher cuts and may have just... been trying to be kind to someone struggling but like... I think it takes a special kind of person to just... say something that kind to someone struggling. Particularly when you dont know them, or what theyre dealing with. He's got a very soft voice and I... just... I feel unsafe around most men I don't know... and like... weirdly enough I think I'd feel safe if locked in a room with this guy (not an ideal situation btw. But like. Out of most of the men I know or have met, this guy would not make me feel unsafe if i were locked in a room with no out with him. More men should be like this, thanks.) I hope he's having a good day, I hope life treats him kindly. I hope he knows his basic kindness means a lot to me, or to others around him. I won't be saying anything but I really hope, that someday life treats him kindly and sofly.

A year ago today, we got high and a monstrous personification of our subconscious managed to get our host, who had been frontstuck for over four years straight, out of front. There's a lot more background to it than that, but the summary is that this was a huge fucking deal. For the past year, we've actually been able to switch out main front, something we don't think we'd ever been able to do.

Shoutout to Idiosyncrasy, said monstrous personification of our subconscious, for doing all that. I'm packing a bowl for it and then I'm gonna call it to front.

sorry if this is, like, a bad question, but i see a lot of stuff from blogs i trust like yours about how dieting is unhealthy, which makes sense given how bad i feel whenever i try it. but I'm Fat, and weight has caused legitimate health problems in my family-my grandma couldnt even walk for the last 10 years of her life. I'm scared and I need to lose weight. How do i do that without some kond of diet or extreme exercise plan? Intuitive eating says eat when youre hungry, but thats how i got fat!

I think this question would be better directed at @bigfatscience or @heavyweightheart or even @swolerbear​ - they’re all more eloquent and gathered than I am on this subject.

I’d say check our related tags and understand where the problem lies. One has to be significantly overweight plus have other problems in order to no longer be able to walk on their own, it’s not just purely a weight issue. Additionally, other “weight based” health issues are often not caused by weight - such as diabetes actually being caused by the issue that may make one gain weight: insulin resistance.

So verify that this is even a potential problem for you.

I’m significantly overweight yet my legs are very strong with good circulation, however I am also young and haven’t had any issues that may cause leg problems.

My mother weighs less than me, but her legs are very painful and she may soon end up in a wheelchair. She’s overweight, but the problem is that she has had many issues with her legs in her life and is now getting older, which compounds the problem.

She blames her weight, but it’s actually not to blame - she used to wrestle, she’s tore out her knees several times, she has a “work through the pain” ideology and refuses medical care, etc. That’s the true source of her problems, rather than her weight, but because we live in a fatphobic society, she thinks it’s the weight.

My grandmother, before she passed, was overweight and got around fine. Then she started losing weight, and she stopped being able to walk. Even though she was in the “healthy” range, that “healthy” range came at the cost of muscle mass instead of fat, making her unable to walk.

Disabled people often end up overweight because of being unable to move as much. Doctors will tell them to eat less before they’ll try to treat the disability that’s actually causing the mobility problems.

Here's some variants! I did a version with a person as usual, and then a version with an animal and a version with an object since you mentioned them. There are two versions with the talker because I coloured the lines at first by mistake. The colours of the word are an it/its flag that I'm actually not sure who the original is by.

Here's a fifth variant, the word colours coming from the anomalous it/its flag by @eparchclass. The person depicted is us, hahaha. It's very self-indulgent but I figured we'd post it anyway.
