I'm seeing so many petty men commenting "what about false rape cases?" "What about the guy who was killed in xyz?" "What about men?" Under posts discussing the rape culture in India and talking about women's issue. I find it funny because that's the only place you'll ever see them talking about male issues. Under a post discussing women ailments.
If the only time men are talking about their problems when women's problems are being addressed, you don't want justice. You simply want attention. You're weak, insecure and pathetic.

hi people !
I'm sure all of you are reading the same thing on every platform, watching videos, scrolling threads, and what not. You know why ?
Because we all are afraid. Especially women, by only a mere thought of what that girl had been through. And somewhere we all know that in coming times these are gonna be worse. I don't know what am i sounding like, right now. But i know this will never stop. Yesterday it was Nirbhaya, today it is Moumita, tomorrow there will be someone else. Because literally, a part of our society will never let these things come to an end. They will be there. They will do this again. There will be protests, again. There will be voices screaming for justice, again. Ultimately, either they will be punished for some years and then released to roam around free, or they will be sentenced to death which will take atleast half a decade which i don't think makes any sense to any victim who faced such brutality. So what's the point. I mean i don't know yaar, what kind of world we are living in. Literally, i have lost all hopes in any system. I mean just think of that girl once, did she ever think of this scenario that the place where she works will be the spot where she will face this ?? THIS ??? Her parents worked hard all their lives so that their girl can study and can pursue this noble profession. ALL FOR THIS DAY ??? I can not process the thought that on what principles and on what tracks these brutal people's minds run. Thanks to people like them that i will never be able to walk on the roads, or sit in a cafe alone, or ride in a bus, or even go to my work place without the thought of being killed and the thought that i can be in Moumita's or Nirbhaya's condition at any moment in my life. These thoughts will haunt each one of us for ever. Ladies and Gentlemen this is the freedom we got and I SAY WITH ALL DUE RESPECT TO THE JUDICIARY SYSTEM, FUCK THIS FREEDOM. FUCK THIS INDEPENDENCE. FUCK THESE LAWS.

Let's talk about what happened in the week of fucking Indian Independence Day.
I will share the extreme details only if you want me to because they are too gruesome.
"A case was registered on 11th of August when the accused allegedly posted the video of the actual on an online platform." - the 11-yo girl was raped in Ballia, UP.
On the 12th of August, a 3.5-yo nursery student was raped by the school bus driver in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand.
Priyanka Hansda, a 25-yo Adivasi girl, from Bardhaman, WB, was raped (speculated) and murdered between 12th-14th August. She went missing on 12th and her body was found on 14th.
Ankita Barui, a student of Bardhaman University, was returning home after taking part in the 'Claim the Night' March for the late Dr. Moumita. Ankita was raped and brutally murdered on her way home.
In Bihar's Muzaffarpur, a 9th grade student was gang-raped and murdered. The details, too horrendous.
Yesterday, a 7-yo little girl was raped at Nabinchandra Das Road. She used to read in class 1. Her rapist is 'Gourango Bose'. He is now scott-free, even though he was accused and guilty.
Yesterday, two female students from Heritage Law College were molested by an employee of the Geological Survey of India at Allen Park. Police has nabbed the man and he is currently in jail.
Yesterday, a nurse was brutally murdered and raped in Uttarakhand. She was missing from 30th July and after a week, her body was found in an empty plot.
Apart from all these horrific cases in just one week, there are ongoing mob attacks on NRS, Jadavpur, RG Kar and various other student groups.
The men saying 'Not All Men', kindly shut the fuck up. This is not about you. You all will always benefit from the patriarchal society. Unless you know the fear of women, shut the fuck up.
Also this woman. Does she think paying 10L will be a solution. Fuck off CM.

POSH Compliance A Crucial Step Towards Ensuring Workplace Safety
Tumblr media
The recent tragic incident at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata, where a 31-year-old trainee doctor was brutally raped and murdered on August 09, 2024, has sparked nationwide outrage. People from all walks of life, alongside doctors and medical students, have staged protests across the country against this heinous act. These sad and tragic events underscore the critical need for strict POSH compliance to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace. We must take action where we can, as POSH compliance is truly the need of the hour.
This is, therefore, a severe reminder to organizations, particularly at a time when they are revisiting their POSH policy and the programs on training, not to bypass legal compliance for sexual harassment. In this blog post, we will look at the essential constituents of POSH compliance, its key components, and how businesses can effectively put measures into action to safeguard employees.
The Importance of POSH Compliance
Every organization across India, having more than 10 number of employees, has to be POSH compliant in lieu of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. As per the law, each organization shall mandatorily have well-documented POSH policies about measures for preventing and redressing sexual harassment at a workplace. These would include drafting and vetting of POSH policies, POSH trainings conducted periodically, and filing annual returns ensuring its compliance with the concerned authority.
Strong mechanisms of POSH compliance are not only legally prescribed, but very important to be adhered to in any workplace for it to be safe and inclusive. Non-compliance to POSH policies may leave undesirable legal or reputational implications for organizations in terms of penalties or loss of trust.
It is, therefore, crucial that businesses maintain a safe office space by emphasizing the atmosphere with comprehensive POSH policies.
Key Components of POSH Compliance
There are critical components of POSH compliance that organizations must execute to ensure a safe workplace and a place free of harassment. Let’s have a brief at them:
1. Drafting of POSH Policy
The first imperative measure towards this direction has to be the drafting of POSH policy. Clear and comprehensive policies should define what constitutes sexual harassment at the workplace, outline incident-reporting procedures, and specify consequences for such actions. These policies form the base of safety at the workplace and, as such, have to be very easily accessible to all employees.
2. Vetting of POSH Policy
The POSH policy has to undertake reviewing and updating regularly so as to remain relevant and effective. Changing laws and social norms necessitate an update in policies for the organization to stay relevant and conforming to the Prevention of Sexual Harassment Act. This step will ensure that policies are not redundant or obsolete and continue to be relevant for their purpose.
3. Filing Annual Returns
Another important factor in POSH compliance has to do with the annual return filing. The organization by law has to file annual reports mentioning the number of sexual harassment cases reported and resolved within an organization, thereby making both transparency and accountability possible.
4. POSH Training and Awareness Programs
Finally, POSH training and awareness programs should be conducted at regular intervals for educating employees on their rights. Effective training cultivates respect and thus prevents harassment incidents. It helps employees learn about the procedure for reporting any form of harassment and knowledge of consequences for violating the same.

"Not all men rape like not all drivers drive drunk. "
But  Drunk driving ads are Targeted towards all drivers. Even those who drive sober.
When you come across a snake, you try to get rid of it, regardless of the fact that there are so many non-poisonous species.
The message goes to all. But men? Oh no! How sad that every man is seen as a potential rapist and threat to a woman's security ! How can we ever generalize them? Right?
We all know that "not all men". But just enough men that EVERY SINGLE woman has faced some sort of harassment in her life by a man. INCLUDING MYSELF.
A society when these heinous crimes are dominated by men, it's a man's duty to prove "not all men" . And a man should do it by calling other men out. As a man it's your responsibility to correct people around you for their sexism. Stop the victim blaming. Calling yourself a nice guy and crying about how your "feelings are hurt because everyone is posting about how they're scared of men" WHEN THERE ARE MULTIPLE RAPE CASES HAPPENING EVERYDAY. Stop whining.
Before you say "not all men," answer this: Are you actively holding the predatory men in your life accountable and supporting survivors? No? Then you're part of the problem.
The rape culture starts from catcalling, unsolicited dick pics, slut shaming, boys group chats, taking non consensual photos, stalking, leering. Are you calling men around yourself out who do this? No? Then stop saying not all men.
