can you tell me about your favourite sonic ship? :)

I don't really have an OTP in Sonic, lol ^^' I have a group of ships that managed to cross the threshold from "yeah it's neat ig" to "I'm happy to see them :D"

Sonamy is my historical OTP, as in, I started shipping them when I was 8 lmao. But then I got more torn about it. Now I'm in this comfortable spot of "they would not settle down and have kids, but you can see an arc of growth between them as they go from fangirl/tired suitee to friends who have each other's backs and are comfortable around each other, and I think it would be neat if they travelled and had adventures together". Problem is, the majority of the fandom likes to paint Sonic as all blushy and lovey dovey and that's not my vision :P i just think they're neat and they can have a good chemistry if they find the right balance. (goes without saying that "Amy finding the right balance" doesn't mean "she loses her personality" :P)

Knuxamy is much more recent but I think it has potential! Knuckles would be the stability to Sonic's unpredictability. Knuckles and Amy are both strongheaded and stubborn and with a quick temper, but deeply loyal and committed. It's easy to imagine them bonding during the events of Forces. And I have a very soft spot for IDW #62 and how it's about them hanging out :3

As far as I'm concerned, you and @true-blue-sonic are the Sonilver fandom :P it's a ship easy to mess up because, you know, Silver's characterization is contentious :P but when the dynamic is nailed, it is just adorable. Sonic's chill, friendly nature clashes with Silver's in your face, serious but naive personality, but the two can get along and bond over things like their sense of justice and love for nature :)

And Sonelise is adorable. Sadly it's a bit tempered by the fact that I still don't like Sonic's story in '06, but the concept is great and maybe we all want to be a troubled girl learning the joy of life from our favorite blue blur :P and Sonic also has reason to like Elise because she's not just kind and selfless, but quite gutsy when push comes to shove.

It’s the Valentines fanart special, which means shipping, which means I’m gonna post all the fanart this time because I love shipping! We’ve got spooky Amy, cupid Robotnik from that one cover, three Tails girlfriends who all have cute designs (but maybe look a bit old for him in some cases?), some SonSal that the caption obstinately pretends is Tails for some reason (I know they know who this version of Sally is! They’ve literally covered SatAM existing!) and my personal fave is the KnuxAmy where Knuckles is wearing an Arsenal football kit for seemingly no reason while giving Amy flowers

I maintain my theory that KnuxAmy was like the “shipping Amy with Sonic’s rival” of the 90s before ShadAmy came along. It’s just that the fandom was less online back then, so we didn’t see as much of it. Also, I guess because America had Julie-Su, too. But British Knuckles didn’t have a love interest, so I assume British kids who wanted that dynamic latch onto KnuxAmy more?

My biggest hear-me-out is knuxamy, guys, GUYS, GUYS, THEY´RE SO CUTE TOGETHER! they're eye-candy, they have a canonic healthy friendship AND they literally match, or are you going to deny that Amy wears that red dress with that white crescent moon collar just for funsies? IT HAVES A MEANING! (A.K.A just me being delulu cuz multishipping plays with my heartstrings🥲🥲)
