God, I love it when famous or well known people show their love for a series I love as well.
Urusei Yatsura art by Japanese media personality, Shoko Nakagawa.

Inuyasha: The Stitchy Retrospective
Started Inuyasha January 26 2024.
Finished Inuyasha May 24 2024.
Stitchy's Score: 6/10
As a huge fan of Urusei Yatsura and Ranma 1/2, it seems almost sacrilege to have never read or watched Inuyasha in all my years on this earth. A series revered and loved by many anime fans. Yet, here we are. I decided to pick the manga up this year just to say I did, plus it's probably Rumiko Takahashi's most famous work. I went in excited to see how Takahashi Sensei would handle a long running over arching shounen plot. The chapters of Urusei Yatsura that are a lot more plot focused are really strong! Especially the last bit of the manga and when she first introduced Inaba. Unfortunately I left Inuyasha very underwhelmed, especially for something as revered as it is.
The main plot of Inuyasha is constantly hurt by how rough the pacing is. In my humble opinion, this 558 chapter manga feels more bloated than something twice as long like One Piece. It's meandering and it feels like a lot of the time, it doesn't really know what direction it wants to go exactly. It feels to me that all the people remember is their OTP. Now, there's nothing wrong with that but, it is quite telling to me that nobody really talks about the plot on the stan accounts. By far the worst part of this story is Kikyo. She constantly grinds character growth to a halt. Every time this woman is around, it's always the exact same song and dance. Inuyasha is understandably still working through how he felt about her, especially because he spent 50 years thinking she betrayed him for no reason. Kagome gets understandably jealous and even has the very normal reaction of worrying if Inuyasha likes HER or likes her because she looks like Kikyo. These are great tools for character arcs, in truth, Kagome is very young and Inuyasha is very immature. We want to see our characters grow and change in a story like this. 300+ chapters in, however, these arcs should be long behind us. Yet Kikyo, the dead woman, sticks around for SO LONG, bogging and slowing down the plot. Her long presence in the story also takes a lot from Kagome herself as well. I was really excited to see Kagome was the ace in the hole. She can see the shards, she can shoot light arrows, her ancestry is just really strong. I wanted to see her grow as a priestess and really make the power her own but, it really just ended up being she's a worse Kikyo until an arc that comes way too late in the story. Inuyasha and Kagome also have just an okay romance. It would be a lot better if Kikyo was not around bogging everything down. It was so hard to get through and I really wanted it to end about halfway through. Naraku is actually a fine villain but he too gets exhausting.
What about the good? The art is, as always, fantastic. Rumiko Takahashi is one of the best manga artists to ever do it and she really shows it off in Inuyasha. The horror elements are all incredible. Our four main characters all all distinct and very cute. Her expressions are fantastic. Shesshosmaru and his character arc were interesting and he proved a good foil for his younger brother. The real OTP for me was Miroku and Sango, however. Maybe it's my firm love for sleezy characters with hearts of gold, like Ataru Moroboshi or Spirit Albarn, but every time they were together was cute and fun. Sango ending up a homemaker was a little dissapointing but I'm very happy they ended up together happy and healthy.
Overall, I think Inuyasha was pretty mid. Now that's mid as in okay not as in grabage, like so many use as short hand. It was an okay story with great art and lovable characters (except Kikyo) and overall I'm glad I read it. Will I again? Most likely not but, again, I'm happy that I have read it to say I have. Think this manga would have really benefited from being a lot shorter or with some better pacing.
Hopefully her newer series, Mao, fixes some of the problems I had with Inuyasha. Especially since from the description, it really just sounds like Inuyasha but again. We will cross that bridge when we get there, I suppose.

Introduction "Welcome to my dating website!"
You decide to try out a new dating website. It's filled with a cutesy theme of pinks and hearts. Your guide is a pixelated avatar. The screen shows her torso as the lines across the screen type out her words. The avatar is a petite woman with long dark brown curly hair and brown eyes. She wears makeup and a pink bustier matching in color with her lipstick. She has a painted heart on the left side of her face. As she talks there is a bigger pink heart floating beside her matching the theme of her website.
"Hi welcome to my dating website! My name is Abella and I'll be your guide."
"So you're interested in finding your match. Thankfully my website has a 90 percent accuracy with pairing couples. You've come to the right place! I'll need you to start with your profile. It will be used as a dating application for potential dates. The process is super simple. Only ten questions. Be sure to answer all surveys as well.”
After you filled out the details of your profile and completed all surveys about romance, Abella starts to give you more instructions. She smiles once you click complete on your profile.
"Great! So detailed too! I see you have great taste 💖! I know the questions seem random for a dating website but I promise it will be useful for your match up."
Beside Abella's pixelated avatar is a blinking menu. It's rainbow colored and begging to be clicked. She looks over to the menu in surprise.
"How could I forget about the menu when it’s so important? This menu explains a bit of the results you'll receive from your potential dates. We'll start with the dating survey results. An example is here."
The menu then shows you percentages, numbers, and various results one would expect from a dating website. It also reminds you of a menu from a dating sim.
Dating Survey Results:
Communication 💌 75%
Emotions 💗 57%
Similar Values 🏡 40%
Passion 💘 88%
"These represent the results from the survey questions asked of your potential date. The results are the outcome of thirty complicated but honest questions that should be expected from a partner. They were also given hypothetical situations. We'll start with the first. Communication is self explanatory. How truthful and honest they are as far as communication goes. In the example the result is seventy-five percent. They're average at communication. Neither the best or the worst. They're in the middle which is pretty good. A bit above average but not by much."
Abella points to the second result titled, Emotions.
"This result represents their emotions. As in how expressive and emotional they are in a relationship. How well they're good at expressing their emotions to you. In the example the result is fifty-seven percent. Not a good result as far as numbers go. Any percent under sixty percent means the person isn't very emotional. Their over all emotions can be nonexistent. Nothing wrong with that as this website respects those with very serious personalities. We also love kuuderes~ Now this doesn't mean they're bad at relationships but it reveals how good or poorly they are at expressing emotions which can be important to many."
Abella points to the next result. It's titled, Similar Values.
"Similar values, now this one is pretty important. As you can tell by the symbol beside it, the house. It represents the persons values and how similar theirs is to your own. For further details, I'll explain it like this. How similar are their wants and desire for a relationship as your own. This includes their needs for affection, desire for dates, importance of marriage, importance of a committed relationship, home, domestic life style, or want for a family. Everyone's values are different so it's best their compatibility is similar to your own, at least seventy percent or so. The relationship might not last long depending on the values you and the other person have. I will add to this by saying many relationships have survived with lower percentages than sixty.”
The results for similar values blinks a couple times, reminding Abella she forgot another detail.
"Oh right. This example indicates a very bad result. Values under fifty aren't particularly good. Any percentage under the number forty can be hit or miss. Compromises must be made and it depends how well the relationship works out in all other aspects. Numbers under forty tend to not work out, so keep this in mind."
The next result is blinking, catching Abella's attention. She has heart eyes for a brief moment.
"Oh! This represents passion. How romantic~ Passion is also self explanatory. I'm sure from the symbol beside it you must know passion must represent their longing and desire for love. Possibly how much their desire for love will be once they catch feelings for you."
She looks to the example with a smile.
"Here the percentage is eighty-eight in the example. A very good percentage this person would be loving a great amount of the time, possibly more than you'd think. They express their love very well in various ways. By saying it with words or through actions. A percentage this high could indicate they’ll do both."
The menu then disappears after she is done explaining.
"That is all I have to say about survey results! Now onto match up applicants. In this part of the menu it will give you the results of your potential dates. The potential dates are the people who are compatible with you. Since you listed wanting your first date to be at a café we recommend you try two blind dates with the best compatibility to you. Meaning the first two results. You'll go on two dates at a café, we list this type of date under the category, ‘double dates’ for this very reason."
The last menu is titled love meter.
"This will also be listed in your result! After your date the applicant will answer several questions about several topics including: the date, about yourself, their longing for love, if they could see themselves having a connection with you, and more. We will give you love meters based on their answers and profile with details from a separate survey that expresses their passion/desire for true love.”
The menu’s beside Abella disappear as she continues to talk. Her words typing out on the screen for you to read.
“I believe that is all to explain. If you have further questions please go to question/guide menu. Reminder if your dates don’t work out, don’t be too disheartened. Some relationships don’t work out and it’s okay. You’re sure to find love. Enjoy your dates and don’t forget to read the guide!”

4. least favorite character from your favorite anime / best ending of an anime you’ve watched?? 22. any endings that you would rewrite?
@fusiera
ANIME QUESTIONS MEME- ACCEPTING;
Thanks so much for sending me more asks!! I really appreciate it a lot!!
4. least favorite character from your favorite anime
Since all the characters in “Kino’s Journey” are mostly one off characters, I’m gonna talk about another favorite series I love, “Princess Tutu.” And the least character I enjoyed was… Mytho.
Now, maybe it isn’t fair of me to choose him. After all, his whole character existence is for Princess Tutu / Ahiru to try to achieve his heart shards back to him in order to feel his emotions again that the Raven shattered and sealed away. I can understand that he’s emotionless and probably has some memory loss in the process of it and that’s fine. What I’m not fine with is making him not suitable in his every day life. He’s met Fakir and Rue since they were little kids so I’m sure they would’ve taught him the facts of life in order to live in their society. But, once we get to their teen years, Mytho is so dependable on them it’s ridiculous.
It just seems like he also lost shards of his mind to gain information in order to learn new things from people. He couldn’t even put on his pants in a few scenes when he was next to his window. Even his common sense of being careful of the dangers around him weren’t making him aware of his surroundings either. It just felt like Fakir and Rue were taking care of a child than someone their own age. Maybe I wasn’t aware on the side effects of the curse on him but it just irritating on how he was acting in the series. I also wasn’t too pleased on how Mytho is probably much older than Rue since she was a child when they first met and he apparently doesn’t “age” but it still makes it creepy age gap. Or any of the pairings involving with him. And it’s a shame cause the focus is on him getting his heart back and he’s the most boring and forgettable character in the show.
Not to say I HATE Mytho. It’s not like that all. In fact, the way he grows towards the end is really quite fascinating. We see him change over time, especially in the second act of the series, and get his emotions back so he could return to being the valiant prince he was. Just because he’s the least character I enjoyed doesn’t mean I despise him. If anyone enjoys him, that’s cool! Keep enjoying his character cause this is my silly opinion and I still want people to enjoy the series for what it is.
4. best ending of an anime you’ve watched
I know I haven’t mentioned this series in my previous posts but it is one of my favorite animes ever. In fact, it was actually the first series Rumiko Takahashi ( creator of the famous series “Ranma ½” & “Inuyasha” ) had created at the age of 21 and that series is called “Urusei Yatsura.” And I choose it’s amazing series end for my choice as the best ending and also known as the fifth film,“Urusei Yatsura: The Final Chapter!”
I’m not sure if the finale includes in it’s films series but I’m counting it anyways! This ending had me over joyed of how well done it was! If you don’t know the main storyline it goes like this:
An alien race known as the Oni arrive on Earth to invade the planet. Instead of taking over the planet by force, the Oni give humans a chance to fight for the rights to the planet by taking part in a competition. The competition is a variant of the game of tag (literally “the game of the Oni” in Japanese), in which the human player must touch the horns on the head of the Oni player within one week. The computer-selected human player is Ataru Moroboshi, a lecherous, unlucky and stupid high school student from the Japanese city of Tomobiki, and the Oni player is Princess Lum, daughter of the leader of the Invasion force.
Despite his initial reluctance to take part in the competition, Ataru becomes interested in the game when he meets Lum. When the competition begins, Lum surprises everyone by flying away and Ataru finds himself unable to catch her. Before the last day of the competition, Ataru’s girlfriend Shinobu Miyake encourages Ataru by pledging to marry him if he wins. On the final day of the competition, Ataru wins the game by stealing Lum’s bikini top, which prevents her from protecting her horns in favor of protecting her modesty. In celebrating his victory, Ataru expresses his joy at being able to get married; however, Lum misinterprets this as a proposal from Ataru and accepts on live television. Despite the misunderstanding, Lum falls in love with Ataru and moves into his house.
It’s one insane series but it’s why I love it. There isn’t a main plot other than Lum and Ataru’s relationship from time to time but it’s such a fun series that I couldn’t possibly spoil any of the enjoyment. With that being said, the fifth film aka “THE FINAL CHAPTER” is completely adapted from the manga and it’s animated so well!
* SPOILERS*
Lupa, yet another one of Lum’s fiancés, arrives on the scene, and Lum and Ataru must repeat the game of tag played out from the first episode of the television series, or the Earth will be infested with mushrooms larger than buildings.
Further, should Ataru lose, Lum will leave forever and everyone’s memories will be changed so that they don’t remember she, or her friends, were ever there. Finally, Lum refuses to allow Ataru to win unless he says to her those three words, “I love you”, that he has steadfastly refused to say over the entire series.
In the beginning, Ataru’s cold-hearted towards Lum and sees her as a nuisance preventing him from girl hunting. Thought he may not seem to really care for her, it’s crystal clear Lum is the only one he truly shows sincere feelings for. And when faced with the prospect of losing Lum, Ataru goes all-out to try to prevent it from happening, even at the expense of his own health.
Near the end of the series, in the story introducing Inaba and from the OVA “Inaba the Dreammaker,” he decides to protect the future where he and Lum get married after he sees how happy she is in this future. In Ataru’s own ideal future, he had a harem containing every female in the cast but he decided to abandon it after he learned Lum would not be with him, further signifying the love he has for her. The fact that he sacrifices to rescue Lum is enough to prove he truly cares. Also, when she leaves for an extended period of time, he becomes very depressed and lonely in her absences.
In the “Final Chapter”, when he’s faced of the prospective of losing Lum and all of his memories of her, he refuses to give in to her request of a proper love declaration, only because he wants to say it properly without being forced into it so there’s more sincerity to how he feels about her. But, the fact that * SPOILERS * Ataru saved her former horns in his hand before time runs out, proves to Lum his love for her without words.
This film is just fantastic in every way possible. Mostly if you become a big fan of the series and just the great out come this will bring out. I honestly didn’t expect such a well made movie for this type of series but it blew my expectations!! As I recommended you many other series, I highly recommend you watch the series “Urusei Yatsura.” I know it has such a long run of episodes, OVAs. and films but the pay off is very much worth it!
22. any endings that you would rewrite:
There’s one ending that I would rewrite and that is “Fruits Basket.”
If you don’t know what “Fruits Basket” is, let me explain the plot:
After the accident in which she lost her mother, Tohru decides to live with her grandfather. Renovations on the house and uncooperative and unkind family members cause her to move out of her grandfather’s house and becomes homeless. Tohru begins living in a tent and starts supporting herself. That is, until she finds a home inhabited by her popular classmate Yuki Sohma and his cousin Shigure. After being invited to stay with them, Tohru discovers something big about the Sohmas.
The Sohmas live with a curse. Twelve members of the family are possessed by spirits of the Chinese zodiac and turn into their zodiac animal when they are weak, under stress, embarrassed, or when hugged by someone of the opposite sex.
When Tohru discovers the Sohmas’ secret, she promises to keep it a secret and is allowed to continue on living with them. Although the Sohmas’ curse is deeper and darker than Tohru realized, her presence and her acceptance of them soon becomes a large, positive influence on those possessed by the zodiac. She sets out to break the curse and, on the way, meets and discovers each member of the Sohma family. Each has a different personality, just like the animals in the Chinese zodiac. One by one, Tohru’s existence changes the Sohma clan’s lives forever.
Onto to the ending, and I’m gonna put a spoiler warning in case no one’s seen this anime:
*SPOILERS:*
After Tohru asks Shigure permission to speak with Akito, the head of the family, he talks to her privately, mentioning that Akito bears the core of the curse and does not have very long to live. Yuki, Shigure, and Hatori accompany Tohru to the Sohma main residence to see Akito. After an initially tame exchange, Akito attacks her as he grabs her hair in a rage after Tohru is unable to say why she came, but Yuki and Shigure restrain him from hurting her further. However, she begins to feel sympathetic, explaining that he still has a life to live. Releasing his grip on her, Akito eventually realizes that Tohru accepts the Sohma family curse. The series ends on a bright future with Tohru, Yuki, and Kyo back at the residence where they live.
Now the reason why I would change this, or possibly more aspects of the series, is to match up what the creator had intended. The anime adaptation was produced while Takaya (creator) injured her wrist, since she was heavily involved in the adaptation. But, she would clash with director Akitaro Daichi over every little detail. Studio Deen decided to reject Takaya’s feedback, and in turn, she has blocked all attempts at a second season or a remake.
It’s a shame that we never got a second season cause this is such a heartwarming series that I cherish greatly. And while looking back on it now that I’ve read the manga, it did stray away from it’s manga counterparts. Several changes were made such as Tohru’s first meeting with Momiji and all references to Tohru’s baseball cap, never happen. The anime makes no mention that Yuki or Kyo have met Tohru’s mother or that Kyo blames himself for her death.
While the anime faithfully adapts most of the characters from the manga series, it does make some changes. In the manga, Momiji is half-German and half-Japanese and regularly speaks German, particularly when he first meets Tohru. In the anime, no German is spoken at all towards her. Shigure’s darker side is toned down in the anime as he makes in the manga that hint at a hidden agenda are left out, along with most of his early scenes with Akito.
In the anime, Akito is biologically male and will die at a young age because of the curse, while in the manga, *SPOILERS* Akito is biologically female but brought up as male and is not dying. This served as a shocking plot twist in the manga, since almost everybody thought that Akito was male. Additionally, Isuzu “Rin” Sohma, the Horse, and Kureno Sohma, the Rooster, are never mentioned or shown in the anime. Finally, the curse is not lifted in the anime because it only covers the first third of the manga, at the most, and the happy ending does not occur until the series is finished.
If it could be rewritten, I would have it connect more towards the main source material than a “Anime only ending” that most studios did at the time or even now as well. Again, it’s unfortunate that it didn’t end on good terms with the creator cause I LOVE this series and I hope maybe in the future we’ll get that second season or a possible reboot. It’s just too amazing not to adapt into anime.
I also highly recommend you check out this series as well. Especially with the English dub cause it’s just OUTSTANDING! It was one of the first series when I got into anime and I’m so glad it influenced me the way I look at life and people around me. It’s very sincere and compassionate. Not to mention it can be funny as heck as well. But, give it a shot if it’s your type of show! You won’t be disappointed!!

Rules: Choose any three favourite fandoms(in random order) and answer the questions. Then tag some friends.
Tagged by both @artistefish and @danaty-consolation
Thank you both for tagging me! Now let’s begin cause hooo boy!
My favs: Urusei Yatsura, Ranma 1/2, Rinne
The first character I loved:-
1. LUM! She was crazy at first, yeah, but that’s what I liked about her! Plus her shenanigans with Ataru and Shinobu in the beginning were just too funny. But omggg when her personality changed I was like YES! She’s so pure and cute, but she still can act like her old self sometimes, which is fine by me OHO.
2.RANMA SAOTOME. LIKE??? WHEN HE WALKED IN THE ROOM I JUST KNEW HE WAS GONNA BE MY FAVE. He is just a pure cinnamon roll. Ok sometimes he can be a jerk, but I love him ok? I felt so bad for him when Akane cancelled their friendship in the first chapter/episode after she found out about his curse. Like HOW DARE??? Also, I like how awkward and shy he can get despite being this great martial artist! He’s so cute like ahhhhh! Honestly, I just love his heart of gold and his willingness to help anyone in need. ALSO CAT RANMA IS A CUTIE!!!
3. RINNE! There was just something about this mysterious red-haired boy that made me like him the most in the first chapter/episode of the series. I know! HE’S SO CHILL!!! Yeah, unlike his predecessors, Rinne is so damn chill in the beginning. Plus he respects Sakura the moment he meets her like asdfghjkl!
The characters I never expected to love so much:-
1. ATARU MOROBOSHI- *cRACKS KNUCKLES* I hated this goof ball so much in the beginning, but after episode 44, HO-HO- HOLY SHIT NEW FAVE. I mean Ataru was growing on me after the famous Christmas eve episode and the Imo-chan episode, but episode 44 just changed my entire perspective of him! It showed me a side to him that was compassionate and can very well be hurt. Not gonna lie, the first time I watched that episode I was crying with Ataru when he was on the ground crying cause omg???? NO DON’T YOU CRY! You’re supposed to be the COMEDIC RELIEFFFF. Before I knew it I was calling him my son lol. Anyone who has followed me for at least a year can tell that I love this idiot so much.
2. AKANE! She honestly frustrated me so much in the beginning. How dare you cancel a friendship with Ranma because he’s not a girl asdfg-. But after a couple of episodes/chapters I began to warm up to her. Especially once she got over her “I hate men” complex. She’s so sweet and kind, but will beat the crap out of anyone who messes with her! My bad ass martial arts girl!
3. SABATO- Frick. HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO YOUR SON!? Yeah, he’s an ass, but HOLY HELL HE’S HILARIOUS! I couldn’t help but love him. Everytime he returns I get so happy...and then I feel bad cause that means Rinne is about to suffer ;w;
The character I relate to the most:-
1. Hmmmmmm. Ataru? IM NOT A PERVERT THO! I have the worse luck sometimes, plus I take things for granted just like him. I also relate to the fact that I’m really lonely when I’m not around the people I love. Although in Ataru’s case it’s just one person.(Lum e.e) On the plus side, I can be funny and have sarcastic humor. I am also low-key intelligent. The only thing I wish I had in common was not die if I was struck by lightning. Ataru you lucky bastard.
2. RYOGA- I have A HORRIBLE SENSE OF DIRECTION! And also I can get lonely too as stated before.
3. Rinne- I’m poor and whenever I get money it just goes away so quickly so VERY RELATABLE CHARACTER.
A character I liked at first but not so much anymore:-
1. NO ONE lol
2. Shampoo- Cause at first she reminded me of Lum then it got to the point where I just found her kind of annoying??? I like her more in the anime tho.
3. Everyone in Rinne makes me laugh so once again no one.
A character I did not like at first but they have grown on you (By a lot)
1. Mendou- RICH KID WHO THINKS HE’S BETTER THAN EVERYONE is actually just rich Ataru. I hated him because he was just soooo annoying. He also tried to kill Ataru in the beginning. I didn’t like Ataru during Mendou’s introduction, BUT YOU CAN’T KILL HIM MENDOU! I began to like Mendou more because throughout the series you can actually see that he starts to care more about the people around him, INCLUDING ATARU fite meeee. He still can be a douche sometimes ofc.
2. Ouo No one...surprisingly.
3. Sakura- Ok so when I first got into Rinne I was one of the fans who hated how seemingly unemotional she was. Plus I low-key hated the fact that she wasn’t like her predecessors. But once I had gotten over that and the anime had kicked off she started growing on me. ESPECIALLY since now that I can hear her speak, I can see that she’s more chill than unemotional. Also her personality adds to the comedy of Rinne!
Three OTPS!:
1. Do I even- ok... ATARU X LUM! THE GROWTH BETWEEN THESE TWO STILL ASTOUNDS ME 5.YEARS. LATER AFTER COMPLETING THIS SERIES! Honestly, their relationship still has me shook to this day. Like I could watch an early Ataru X Lum episode and then a latter one and it’s so obvious how much they have grown. Their relationship went from dysfunctional to a pure domestic relationship. Like I just get so happy cause in the latter half of the series Ataru and Lum can just chill together and be at ease with each other. Until Asshole Moroboshi flirts e.e That aside, I also like how when they have an argument you can actually see the hurt it causes them both. Especially Ataru since like before he met Lum I’m 99% sure he was a lonely kid. Sure he had Shinobu, but like she didn’t live with him. And if I had a mom who told me she wished I wasn’t born CONSTANTLY I’d be hella depressed. OK OK I’m done. OTP FOR LYFE!
Shinobu/Inaba- THEY ARE SO CUTE TOGETHER! I’m low-key pissed that the flower arc from the manga didn’t get animated tho...It was so important ;w;
And finally in an au where Lum doesn’t exist or come to earth or something.... Ataru x Mendou ouo’’ Don’t kill me. Not gonna lie...artists on pixiv made me ship this...PLUS EPISODE 131 WAS HELLA GAY FITE ME. And then they were other moments in the series that made me think they’d be a good couple lol.
2. WITHOUT WORDS! YOUR HAND IN MINE’S ENOUGH!! ;W;!! RanmaXAkane! Ahhhhh! These two are my babies! They have honestly been through so much together! Their relationship is hella better in the manga though. I cried during some arcs like holy shit.
Ryoga x Akari- cRIES! IM ON THIS ARC BUT i HAVENT READ IT BUT BASED ON SPOILERS...OTP.
Don’t kill me pt2...
Ranma x Ryoga: So that fishing rod arc aha AHAHAHAHA. Plus the fan art on tumblr made me ship them even harder lol.
3. Ghost hunters I MEAN RINSAKU! Honestly, my heart just flutters whenever Rinne acts all lovey dovey around Sakura. She honestly brings out the best in him. Rumiko....you better give them a happy ending like their predecessors e.e
Matsugo x Rinne: PLEASE, THEY ARE SO CUTE??? When I watched Matsugo’s introductory episode I was just making inhuman noises THE ENTIRE TIME. If Rinne hadn’t met Sakura these two would be hitting it off right after the reunion tbfh. I honestly wish there was more content for this ship???
Sabato x Money: :^)
THANKS FOR TAGGING MEH. ouo’’ sorry if I got too excited with some of these.

With WonFes 2017 Winter over, it’s time to post the obligatory wishlist! ^o^
Even though there were a lot of exciting figure announcements and prototype reveals at Wonder Festival 2017 Winter today, I don't feel my wallet is in too much danger. There were a lot of Nendoroids that looked interesting, but I likely won't buy. And the figures I ABSOLUTELY POSITVELY HAVE TO PREORDER, were fairly few (at least compared to previous WonFes).
Below, the squares shaded darkly are figures I likely won't buy. They caught my eye, but seriously, I'd rather spend my money on other Nendoroids. The squares clouded in white are figures that if I was forced into a corner, I might be able to give up. But it'd be nice if I didn't have to.
Good Smile is going to kill my wallet if they announce more Harvest Moons! ;u; If every Crypton Future Media Vocaloid gets a Harvest Moon version, I don’t know what I’m going to do. Those costumes are just too pretty. XwX
I feel like I'm obligated to get Figma Utena and Nendoroids Ed & Al, but I don't feel as strongly about those fandoms anymore, enough to justify the money those figures cost. On the other hand, I have a rule about not passing up merchandise from an old fandom, for that reason alone. The last time I passed up a Devil Hunter Yohko artbook, just because it was no longer my all-consuming obsession, I regretted it. And I kept hunting for it at each succeeding con. *That* is a regret. Which is why I bought Figma Hikaru Shidou, even though I haven't been into CLAMP's manga, let alone Magic Knight Rayearth for years. So when I see Utena, Ed & Al, my nostalgia dictates that I preorder them, even though my current obsessions say that I shouldn't be spending on old fandoms like Utena and FMA.
I'm not really into these paritcular swords, but I've got a completionist problem. * I already have Kashuu Kiyomitsu, so I have to get Yamatonokami Yasusada, right? And Yasusada has a generic hakama! Before Touken Ranbu Nendoroids, it was so hard to find nice, generic, male wafuku that could go on any character. Still, even now, though it's gotten easier to get hakama from Tourabu, it's hard to find male kimono or yukata. So I snatch up any versatile male wafuku wearing Nendoroid, I can find. * Izuminokami Kanesada isn't really a character I'm particularly attached to, since I'm more a Dategumi fan than a Shinsengumi fan, but I've always liked his character design. It even managed to make me ignore the long hair, even though I usually don't like that character design on males. His costume was just elaborate enough, and the color scheme, contrasting between the deep red and intense blues, just really pop. ^_^ * So that being said, I really shouldn't get Horikawa Kunihiro. His costume design is closer to modern Western and I'd rather throw my money at wafuku designs. But damn it, he's got the same intense blue contrasting against dark hair, just like Izuminokami. ~_~; That contrasting color scheme---or rather, contrasting intensity or value scale---just work too well on me. And after seeing Horikawa in the Touken Ranbu Hanamaru anime, I'd feel bad if I split him up from the senpai partner he idolizes. ~__~! Anyway, I already preordered his brother (Yamanbagiri Kunihiro), so my completionist itch should be happy about that. ...Even though the Kunihiro brothers don't seem very close... x_x * As for Ookanehira! You can't trick me into wanting your Nendoroid! ~w~! I told myself not to buy any more characters I didn't already know! (Unless they were exceptionally cute!) I don't care if your eyes and hair color remind me of one of my main character OCs! Nor if your seiyuu is Ono Yuki! You're too full of yourself and I should be spending my money on cuter characters! Stay back, I say! Keep your charms away from me! ~W~!
The Disney Nendoroids are cute and I like those classic "2nd Renaissance" movies, along with Tim Burton, but not enough to get figures. But if I ran into them at a con or something, really cheap, and there was nothing else I was spending at during a small con, I might go ahead and get them. Like what happened with Nendoroid Anna.
I didn't include Nendoroid Yuri, because I already preordered him. It's strange that I'm certain about getting Nendoroid Victor, even though I'm not as totally obsessed with Yuri on Ice as everyone else seems to be. But despite YOI not taking over my life, I still do like the characters. They're sweet! And I want that ambiance in my display cases!
Karasuno Nendoroids. No question there. I just want all my Karasuno starters. Announcing Yamaguchi and Sawamura together, when there are only 2 more starters on Karasuno, makes me think they'll be announcing them in pairs. Here's to hoping for some Asahi and Tanaka Nendoroids! ^o^ And if they decide to make a Nendoroid Ennoshita, I'll consider him.
Japan. Kiku Honda. My rule about still collecting for old fandoms, as if they're still my current obsession, applies here. Except that my Hetalia fandom doesn't feel that long ago. Probably because I saw Hetalia the World Twinkle at AkibaFest2016. Let's hope that if we show demand for Japan, USUK will get some Nendoroids too. *o*!
Nendoroid More Dress-up sets are my favorite Nendoroid more. The outfits are so nicely generic and versatile, and help put a stop to me buying Nendoroids of characters I have no attachment to, just for their wardrobe. (I've given Masamune & Yukimura enough wardrobe options already---but I just can't stop! It's for DateSana! ;o; ) It’ll be great to put some period era Nendoroids, uniformed characters, and fantasy costumed characters into a modern AU. Groomsmen for those Nendoroid More wedding sets...Haikyuu boys in formal wear...my KanColle girls as office ladies... *U* I could make a cubicle diorama! O.O Still waiting for male wafuku Nendoroid More sets, but until then, any Nendoroid More Dress-up sets are always welcome!!! ^U^
Ice Kirby is so cute and I love blue. But if I wasn't willing to get original Kirby, with all his cuteness, and I didn't get MetaKnight, despite his cuteness, then I should probably save my money. I wasn't deluded for a second into buying that robot armor Kirby. It's on my wishlist because I just like to look at it. ^^; I mean, what the heck is that giant, cute thing?! ^o^
Nendoroid More face cases are cute, but if it comes down to it, those are the first things I cut out of my budget. After all, I skipped on that Konnosuke faceplate case, and I love Touken Ranbu. Still, that penguin and fishing bear are ADORABLE. When I saw the penguine case's announcement last year, I wanted to get it to re-create Chiyo's costume scenes from Azumanga Daioh. ^u^
I'm not watching Re:Zero, but Emilia is beautiful! *.* I have a weakness for pastel hair and her outfit, on top of that, is just so pretty. Her character design just screams "ingenue" deredere, and that's my favorite type of waifu (alongside kuudere and sometimes dandere). And if I remember correctly the spoiler I heard once, then she could also be one of my favorite mythological archetypes, the "universal mother goddess".
I'm not going to buy a Racing Miku. Let's be honest. They always look so cool, but they're $80, instead of the usual $50-$60, because they're supposed to support Good Smile's racing team. But damn, this mint green fairy is cute! I thought it hurt to pass up the knight themed Racing Miku. But this is adorable! ;w; And I had needed a green female Nendoroid for my rainbow figure photos.
I was flabbergasted when I saw the Lum Nendoroid and the Rinne Nendoroid. I thought it might be a hoax, a different figure line from Nendoroid, or maybe even from years ago, long out of print. But it's actually just one of those Nenodroids made by a different company; Good Smile only does the distribution. (Like Tomytec's Wixoss Nendoroids.) So it's not even on Good Smile's WHL4U website, which catalogs all their WonFes announcements. It might be too easy to not realize when these are even released. But I absolutely have to support Rumiko Takahashi Nendoroids. I'm more a Ranma 1/2 fan, than Urusei Yatsura, and I've barely read much Rin-ne. But if we support these, then maybe Play Future will make some Ranma 1/2, Inuyasha, or Maison Ikkoku Nendoroids. I would go nutz if Mermaid Saga Nendoroids were ever announced.
The kimono Nendoroids for Puella Magi Madoka Magica are an absolute buy. I never thought I wanted more than just Homura and Madoka, but if all the girls are going to get kimono Nendorids, then it's a good time to get the entire Holy Quintet. ^-^
Last but not least, Nendoroid More sets for Halloween and Christmas. I really hope these are Dress-up sets and not just some accessories. I'm a clay crafter; I can make little accessories on my own. So these better be full-blown outfits. Halloween is my favorite holiday and these would just be so useful for holiday figure photos. I'm really looking forward to more info about these sets. ^o^
It was a really great WonFes. And right on my birthday, it made the best present. ^u^! Hopefully, despite this long wishlist, I'll be able to keep things civil with my wallet. ^^;

"It's a rumic world!!"
Day 7 of @rumicworldweek - Happy Birthday Rumiko Takahashi!! 🎉
Sadly, no art for today since it seems I've hit an artblock after drawing for almost an entire week 😭, but to be fair everything drawn for this week was for sensei's birthday after all. I wanted to draw art for Mermaid Saga, One Pound Gospel and Rumic Theatre, but unfortunately there's only seven days in a week (though I have drawn art for Mermaid Saga like a week earlier and I have drawn an art for one of the Rumic Theatre stories months ago. Sorry One Pound Gospel, eventually!!) And plus, when it comes to topic of Rumiko Takahashi and her works, I decided to talk about it rather than draw...
Rumiko Takahashi... Honestly, all her works mean a lot to me. Each have it's own reasons, reasons why they're more than just mere stories to me. I guess it's mainly because of how good of a storyteller she is. Here's a little tidbit from her which may show why:
And boy, does it make me feel exactly how she wants it to. She knows what the reader looks forward to and she delivers just that while having fun. The amount of love and passion in her works in insane and the little details put to the story and characters are exactly what I love about her tales. Then there's the amount variety when it comes to her stories which I think is the most obvious when you pick up just one volume of the rumic theatre, one moment you're reading a hijinks story about a boy who just want to deliver newspapers but keeps getting interrupted by invaders and half- fishmen and the next moment you'll be reading a horror where this high school kid who knows archery is trying save his girlfriend from being murdered by his yandere cousin.
Honestly, just the amount of one shots she have is enough to prove how much as well as the number of chapters her serializations have is enough to show how much dedication and passion RT has for manga and this dedication is just what makes their quality so good. Urusei Yatsura makes me laugh and reminds me to have fun and enjoy life. Maison Ikkoku taught me about growing up. Mermaid Saga is a spine-chilling story which talks about the price of greed. Ranma 1/2 brings about the topic of familial love besides the romance itself. I've only watched the OVA for One Pound Gospel, but what intrigues me the most is the fact that the main pairing is a boxer and a nun, it's like the strangest pairing you could make but Kosaku and Sister Angela make it work and let's just say I love these kind of strange pairings, lol. Inuyasha talks about letting go from the past while still keeping the important within you. Kyoukai no RINNE is quite nostalgic to me as someone who grew up in a family who's very keen on saving money and a lot of moments make me laugh because I've been similar situations and it's nice to look back on them. And finally, MAO is the series I'm currently growing up with.
I know Rumiko Takahashi will never see this but.. Thank you so much for everything, your characters and stories managed to lift my spirits in the darkest of times and remind me that everything will eventually be okay. I know I'm not the only one who thinks this and all of what I've said is why I love Rumiko Takahashi and her stories.... ♥
I'm glad that I was able to participate in this year's Rumic World Week. Thanks to everyone who's liked and reblogged my posts and I hope everyone reading this has a great day ahead!! 🌹
