Day 2

Hotel du Forclaz was great to stay at! Top of a Col between 2 mountains so a brilliant view. run by a busy team in a building that must have been around since the 40s or 50s. (apparently the men's toilets have cigarette holders). Boots in the store room, dorm rooms with bunk beds, 3 course dinner served at 7, including two helpings of everything if you wanted it..

Farm House opposite, more cows more bells..

Today's trail was veery long.. 29km according to Ted's tracking GPS. Up and over a mountain, down into 5he Champex valley, then down a bit further, through little alpine towns and hamlets to Le Châble

Last section seemed to take forever, I'm knackered.. the digs are nice though, feeling more human after a great dinner and a beer.. oh and some pretty excellent homemade tirimisu.. long days deserve treats
