When I saw the amazing Gengars done up by @kittykatmaniac I knew I had to paint them for myself, after getting permission of course. My only problem is all that chromatic abrasion on the original art made it a pain to mock up in Gimp 2.

11 colors in 12 layers on 9″x 12″ canvas. MTN 94, Montana Gold, Flame Blue, Belton Moltow.

Hey @kittykatmaniac I told you at ax I would make this my goal and I can say my mission was accomplished! :) @markiplier was at san diego comic con this past weekend and he was very kind and signed my villainous print right on 5.0.5~! I am super happy I was able to get the print signed and now its hanging on my wall. :)

nO0O I cant answer this ask fully because i dont have a lot of WIPS but dont worry, I’ll have the speed paint up soon so that you can see everything from start to finish!

OwO For me its extremely important to have the designs of the characters down before starting an image. I had never drawn gasters followers before so I got some practice in! By knowing their designs, I could figure out the pose and composition i wanted them to be in! Its harder to change things composition wise in a painting so a lot of things are set in stone after i finished the sketch! BUt if you notice something STILL did change. 

I added a second gaster blaster along with some bones for sans. Gasters hands ofc changed as well. And in the end I decided against the flowey border (it just didnt look right to me)

When it comes to my prints, my thumb nails start off VERY rough. Sometimes just quick crappy circles and squares so that I know where to place the character and their environment!
