#Kipo needs way more love than it gets! I wish it got that sequel series the creator wanted

I was excited to see you mention Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts, it's one of my favorite shows!! As someone who works in transformative justice, it was really exciting to me to see how they handled harm and healing in their storylines. I would love to hear your take on it if you're interested in sharing?
It's been a long time since I've watched Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts, but I remember after I finished watching, that I was really impressed by it! Moments where I thought the plot would lean too much into "kindness and hugging is the solution instead of violence" were handled with more nuance than I expected, which was refreshing. It was structurally superior to She-Ra, with stronger character arcs too. I was concerned with the way the Animal Mutes were potentially going to do a fantasy racism thing, but to my memory they treaded the line carefully.
It's a fun show with three lead characters of color, explicitly stated gay representation (ALSO HUGELY REFRESHING after so much "we can't say any queer terminology for fear of censorship"), and a show that knows what it's about. Just an all around fun show. My only nitpick is for Kipo herself to be more explicitly Blasian in design (and I guess casting too)? Mixed kids can look like anything of course, I just felt her character design suffered as being the most vague.
