YAY! I love talking about my OCs!!!

So this is an old sketch of my KnY OC! Her name is Yue Nakatsuki (she/her).

Her backstory is that she and her twin sister, Yuno, liked to sneak out at night to look at the stars in a nearby meadow. One day, both of them fell asleep in the meadow and Yue wakes up to the sound of her sister screaming. They get attacked by a demon and it starts going crazy cuz both of them have marechi blood and he’s like omg I hit the jackpot today! Two humans with marechi all for me??? Yum! More demons start to congregate at the smell and soon theyre all fighting to claim the spoils. Then whoosh! Out of nowhere, Shinobu descends like a graceful butterfly and kills the demons. Shinobu administers some basic first aid cuz Yue was clawed in the face (her scar) and tells her that it’s too late for her sister. She runs back home like absolutely sobbing and wakes up the whole house. Her parents are absolutely horrified and angry that they snuck out and got attacked and that only one came back. She was not the favorite child so her mom is especially cruel saying like it shoulda been you. She runs away from home after and steals a practice sword and starts training to become a demon slayer.

So this was going to be a fic but that’s sorta all I had planned before abandoning the idea.

So she somehow learns star breathing by looking up at the stars hand imitating the movements of falling stars and comets and meteor showers.

Yue’s around 15 years old when she joined the ranks of the slayers at the same time Tanjiro, and the gang did. I think she’d immediately gravitate towards Kanao and everyone at the butterfly manor. She’s a little wary of the loud and rowdy boys, especially Innosuke, but has a deep respect for Tanjiro for protecting his sister.

I think Shinobu would definitely take her under her wing- not as a tsugoku or anything- but just as like a pseudo-older sister figure.

She’s a fairly calm and level-headed person but isn’t afraid to bicker with the boys when they get on her nerves, especially if she’s trying to concentrate on training.
