I am KING NAMOR! The MIGHTY Sub-Mariner! Supreme Ruler of The Deep! I have lived a dozen Human Lifetimes! I have No Equal! I am NOTHING like the rest!
But the Phoenix... it burned you just the same.
Waves of Fire towered above me. I felt like a single krill, lost in Endless Oceans. Have you ever felt small? I never had. I dislike it, intensely.
Happy 103rd Birthday to King Namor!!! Namor + the art of Jae Lee

Hi! Sorry to ask about this, but I just read King In Black: Namor and I have a question: does the stones forever tainted Namor's behaviour, being the cause of some of his more bad behaviour, or was its influence completely purgeed by the end of the final issue, and Namor's behaviour is his own?
No need to be sorry. This is an interesting question.
Namor himself was never under the influence of the Unforgotten Stone. He specifically stops Attuma from going after or touching the stone in issue 3, because he saw what happened to The Swift Tide. Namor and Attuma never touch the Stone or are consumed by its change.
Tumblr media
Only Dorma was connected to its influence and changed temporarily, and she was purged of her change by the end. However that doesn't mean the Stone itself is a evil thing, Ambrose the fish underwent a monstrous change but still remained a loyal pet to Dorma. I think the Stone changes people depending on the person/creature.
Tumblr media
Also at the very end Dorma's spirit still seems to have a connection to the Stone itself.
That's not to say maybe a future writer wouldn't use the Stone to influence Namor's behavior much like how writers used The Serpent Crown. Personally I don't want all of Namor's behavior to constantly be blamed on a evil Atlantean artifact because it's happened a lot in the past but if a good writer has a good story about it then I would read it.

Teen Titans Go! Namor
King Namor McKenzie, a.k.a. the Sub-Mariner, is the ruler of Atlantis. Born as a hybrid mutant son of a human ship captain Leonard and the Atlantean princess Fen, Namor's first interaction with the human world came when he joined the Invaders to fight against the Axis powers during World War II. After spending years as a homeless amnesiac, Namor was discovered by the Fantastic Four and reclaimed his identity and his kingdom.
Since then, Namor has been both foe and ally to the surface world, allying himself with heroes such as the Defenders and X-Men and villains like Dr. Doom and the Cabal, for Namor's true allegiance is always to Atlantis and its people.

Also, I find the fact that Namor's full name is Namor McKenzie to be fucking hilarious.
Namor the Submariner, King of Atlantis? Badass. Imposing. Regal. Fantasyish.
Namor McKenzie? Someone should have let the painkillers wear off before filling out the birth certificate.
